Fantasy Hybrid, Magic Camp

Eevee nodded once and thought about the upsides. She thought about how having another Shadow user would make it easier for her to learn new aspects of the power, at the same time share her knowledge about it.

Sarthiss nodded back. "You asked me if I wanted some alone time," He motioned to his ripped and tattered shirt. "I think I do. I need to get a new shirt." Sarthiss grinned, rubbing the top of Eevee's head. "I'll seeya later. Maybe at dinner?" He turned on his heel and strode towards his cabin. He shared it with a couple other of the fire children, but he hardly spent time there. It only served as a place for him to store his stuff.

Eevee stayed back and waved as he left. She stayed where she was and decided that it was better to. She quickly became bored, looking around at the birds and squirrels that rummaged around for food.

Sarthiss walked into his cabin, but was not greeted by any of the loud, rowdy pleasant chaos that usually accompanied the children of fire'sliving space. None of his bunkmates were in the cabin. He shrugged it off, trading out his ripped shirt for a new one. 'Maybe I can fix it later,' he thought. But that was unlikely. Walking out of his cabin, he heard a noise, and he was slammed against the cabin wall, his arms pinned. He caught a glimpse of his assailants, six of the more bulky children of air.

"You made a mistake pushing Leroy around." One of them growled, cracking his knuckles. Sarthiss smiled and cocked his head. "Believe me. He deserved it. You do too." Smiling dangerously, Sarthiss heated his arms, flames running up his body, sparks crackling around his joints. The one on his right let go with a shout, but the other still held on. Sarthiss yanked back his neck and smashed his forehead into the bridge of of the left one's nose. He released his grip on Sarthiss's arm, stumbling backwards. Sarthiss rolled his shoulders and cracked his neck, limbering up in his newfoud freespace, grinning madly, flames kindling themselves behind his eyes and down his spine. The six burly boys took up ready positions around Sarthiss, wo still had his back to the cabin wall. "Well fellas, you have a problem with picking fights you can't win." "We'll see about that." One of them growled. And that's when the real fight started.

Eevee's flame that she had summoned after Sarthiss left to change out his shirt clicked and grew all of a sudden, then went back to it's normal size. She tilted her head and looked at it more closely, but it grew again and burned the area right below her eye. She hissed and the flame went out, leaving her there, putting a hand up to her eye and she wasn't at all happy. She pulled her hair over her eye and hid the burn, it was worse than any normal flame. She shrugged it off and knew it would heal eventually. She went back to the strand of black that came from her srist, learning the new aspects of that as well.

One of the children of the air went for Sarthiss's legs, a second aimed high. Sarthiss spun out of the way into the one who had let go of him first. Suprised, the boy threw a horrible punch. Sarthiss leaned back and grabbed his arm right below the elbow and wrist, twisting around and throwing him over his shoulder. The boy slammed on the ground, and one of the others tried jumping on his back. Sarthiss did a bit of a skip jump, flinging his leg out and smacking his heel across the boys jaw, rendering him unconscious. . "Fun, fun. Let's pick this up a bit shall we?" Sarthiss chuckled, "I don't have all day." The more muscular one decided to charge, picking him up and ramming him into the wall. Sarthiss smacked his head against the cabin, but he almost didn't feel it, he was in his element now. Somewhere he hadn't been in a long time. Glowing tounges of fire wound their way around his body as he heated his skin, clasping at the boys face and neck, leaving trails of blisters and first degree burns. The boy held on, and another swung his fist at Sarthiss. Sarthiss grinned wolfishly and turned to smoke for a split second, the cool autumn breeze carrying him a few feet away. Re-materializing, he snatched the hair of one of the last boys and smashed his head down onto his knee. The boy who's nose he had broken ran off, three lay unconscious, the one that he threw was still trying to stand up, gasping for breath, and the apparent leader was still clutching at his burns. Sarthiss laughed, a long, low laugh, and kicked the one who was trying to get up. "NOBODAY fucks with a child of fire!" He yelled into his ear. The air child fell back to the ground, wimpering. Turning to the leader with a wild look in his eye, Sarthiss bared his teeth in a threatening smile. "Take off your pants cowboy." He hissed at the leader, "Time for some real fun."

The leader stumbled off, sheilding his face from any more blows that Sarthiss might throw at him. Sarthiss chuckled and gave the wimpering teen one last kick before melting all the unconscious ones shirts together. He paused, then heated his fingers to burn college-style grafitti on their necks. "That's right sissys, I've branded you with dicks!" He laughed. The unconscious ones were starting to come to, so Sarthiss bent down, talking through gritted teeth, getting in one's face. "You. Are not to interact with me. And. You can tell Leoples if I don't like anything that he does, he's next." Straightening up quickly, Sarthiss kicked some dirt at them and turned towards Rou's cabin, walking with long, quick strides. "Gotta face the music sometime," He said, rubbing the large bump that was forming on the top of his head.

The burn on Eevee's face wasn't that noticeable with her hair the way it was, but she hoped that Sarthiss wouldn't mind, whenever he came back. She stood and stretched, letting out a small yawn from boredom and then jumped up onto a tree, looking out at the forest that lay just beyond the walls. She remembered the days that Sarthiss and her left and wandered around for a while, meeting Wolf and retrieving the fire from the cabin. She stopped in her thoughts at the mention of the flame from the mansion-like house that Wolf had showed her, then being able to talk to him. She wasn't too sure how to think of it now, but brushed the thought to the back of her mind and then continued to watch the birds fly around.

Sarthiss opened the door to Rou's cabin. "Ey Rou, wazzup." He said. Rou was sitting at his desk, looking at some papers through small spectacles that fit under his nose. "Hello. How are you?" Rou said, less than pleased at his sudden appearance. Sarthiss pulled up a chair by Rou and put his feet up on his desk. Rou glared at him. "Well," Sarthiss began, "There are three boys who may have concussions, one who can't breath very well at the moment, one with a broken nose, and another with severe burns. The unconscious ones have burns on their necks." Smiling a bit, he began licking the blood off his knuckles, inspecting the cuts made by the brute force of connection. "They look like dicks," he sniggered. Rou took off his spectacles and ran a hand over his slightly balding head. "Sarthiss, did you do that?" Sarthiss nodded. "I told you not to hit people..." Sarthiss held up a finger, interjecting. "I only hit one of them. The one I threw, I kicked somebody else, knee'd the other guy, and I just touched the leader. He thought he was hot shit. The last guy I smacked with my face, he ran off." Rou's jugular started beating, growing purple, another vein in his temple bulging out. "I told you not to kick your campmates, or throw them. I also told you knot to knee people." Sarthiss grinned. "No, that's elbow you're thinking of." Sarthiss tapped the specified joint. Rou stood up, sweeping a few papers off his desk angrily. "God damn it Sarthiss!" He said exasperatedly, "You can't just go around hitting anyone you want!" Sarthiss wagged a finger in a no-no gesture. "These guys grabbed me and stuck me up against the cabin. There's a lump on the back of my head to prove it. They also swung first, every single one of them. Self defence. They said they were taking vengence for Leroy even, you allready talked to me about him." Rou sat back down, rubbing his face in a tired manner. "Sarthiss, why do you make people so angry?" "Well, maybe because I'm a better fighter than anybody here. They like challenges, and I never cease to entertain them." Rou rubbed his temple. "Sarthiss just... Just go. I have to figure out how to deal with this..." Sarthiss nodded, still simling, and jumped up. "Seeya later buddy!" With that he was off. He shook his head a bit, the levels of smartassium in his brain were abnormaly high.

Eevee leaned back on the branch but fell off. She was lucky that she was able to land on her feet. Landing with a small thud, she stood up straight and looked up at the place she had just fallen from. It was pretty high, but not too high to actually break your neck as soon as you hit the ground, but it could do some pretty good damage. She sighed and sat back down on the ground.

Sarthiss walked around a bit, trying to push the events of the past hour to the back of his mind. He tried to calm down so that Eevee wouldn't see how fighting affected his mind. "Take off your pants cowboy, that's a good one." he mused. He hadn't had to fight like that for a long time. Not since the period after Flare and before the camp. The streets were a dangerous place. "Well now," he was mumbling to himself, wandering around the training grounds. "Gotta solve this problem eh, Leroy has some pretty buff friends... I know, I know. Shall we mark his things? Yes, remember the symbol? Yea, I do. Signature bitches." Sarthiss was alot less bloodthirsty now, but not entirely calmed down. It was getting close to dinner, so he could use food to supress his thoughts. "Maybe we'll even scare the air kids by sitting next to them eh?" He chuckled.

Eevee wondered where Sarthiss was, but had an idea when she heard the bell ring for supper. She walked to the dinning hall and as soon as she walked in the door, she was pulled over to the other room, leading to the large pantry. She was spun around and was facing an air child, but his eyes were full of fear. "Your little friend is nuts!" He half screamed. She tilted her head and he shook a bit. "He beat the living shit out of me and my friends! Along with Leroy!" He was about to question him but he covered her mouth and pulled her close to him, back facing his chest. She wasn't happy, but he still had the guts to talk. "Shh!" He hissed and then the sound of footsteps could be heard through the door.

Sarthiss crossed through the threshold of the dining hall, singing and snapping his fingers. "In the shuffeling madness, comes the locamotive breath, and the all time looser, headlong to his death!" He chuckled. Walking along the foodline, Sarthiss grabbed some soup. He waved at one of the cooks. "Ey, you got some ice? Maybe a bag too?" The cook nodded, smiling knowingly at the large knot on the back of Sarthiss's head. He dissapeared into the kitchen and came back with what was requested. "Thanks man." Sarthiss held the small ice patch to his head, for a bit, then located where Leroy was sitting. Leroy wasn't at the fight, but he was sure to have heard of it. Sarthiss smiled to himself and decided to sit in the corner of the dining area, the time wasn't right yet.

Eevee was becoming impatient with the boy that had placed his hand over her mouth, preventing her from hissing. She struggled and growled lowly at him, but he held her tight and tried not to release his grip. "No! Don't give me away!" He shot at her in a whisper. She growled again, struggling once more and finally getting out of his hold, then turned and scratched him, shooting him a deadly glare and then storming out of the room, nearly breaking the door as it slammed open. She didn't care about the stares that she received and quickly stormed out of the Dinning area, down to the woods and clenching her hands into fists, mumbling curse words to herself.

Sarthiss was halfway done with his soup when the boy who he had thrown skitted around the area and sat across from Leroy, whispering in hurried tones. Now was the time. Sarthiss got up and made his way to the end of their table. He slid his half-eaten soup down next to Leroy and swaggered over to him. He sat down gently, picked up Leroy's spoon and started eating his soup. "Hey ol' buddy," He chirped, swallowing a spoonfull of soup, "How ya doin? The strangest thing happened today, I ran into a group of thugs, and I hit my head a bit, so I can't remember, but They mentioned your name! Crazy right?" Sarthiss guffawed, clapping the frightened air child on the back. "This guy was there, he knows what went down. Now, You didn't hear Leroy's name right?" The other frightened boy shook his head, just agreeing with anything Sarthiss said. Sarthiss picked up the soup bowl and gulped the rest down. "Yea. Thought so." He ruffled Leroys hair and stood up. "Well, I'll seeya around buddy." Sarthiss gave him a mock salute and was on his way.

Eevee felt her knuckles crack, even though the sounds of the birds chirping usually calmed her down, she still felt mad, and the experience she just had only made it worse. She looked at the wall that towered over her, and she knew that this shit would only continue if she didn't just leave for good. She went and got Wolf, telling him about it and they both decided to just get away fro a while. They got over the wall and Eevee sat in one of the trees. Wolf watched the world around him, careful of his surroundings. They weren't too far off, but they were far enough not to be detected so easily. Eevee sighed angrilly, a few strings of dark grey wrapping up her arms, flames covering them. 'This day can't get any worse...' She muttered to herself.

Sarthiss was happy, he had calmed down after walking out of the dining hall. His eyes narrowed a bit when he saw one of the children of air he had branded with a scratch on his arm. Sarthiss mock tiptoed up behind him and seized his arm, inspecting the scratches. "Well well, lookie here..." He speculated, "We've got some scratches... I didn't put those there..." Sarthiss twisted the boys arm. "Where, is, she?" He growled. The boy wimpered and pointed in the direction he had last seen Eevee. "Thanks buddy." Sarthiss tripped him, pushing his face into the ground. "Next time you won't be let off easy." Sarthiss switched to heat vision and found Wolf's heat signature before Eevees. He found Eevee's next to wolf's, but something strange going on with it. Sarthiss decided he should follow her, make sure she didn't get into trouble. Eevee climbed over the wall, and so did wolf, so Sarthiss dashed to the wall and spun some flames at his heels, using the small amount of combustion to shoot himself over the wall. He landed and stared blankly at Eevee. "I'm sorry." He didn't know what he was apologizing for, but in his experience, it was better to say that to give the other person a sense of hierarchy. "I beat the shit out of him."

Eevee looked over her shoulder and tilted her head. "What are you apologizing for? It's not like you held me in the pantry and told me to keep quiet..." Her voice trailed off and she felt another black flame light at the tip of her tail. She didn't care about it and kept the hair covering her eye where it was, turning to Wolf and sighing. She still hated the boy for what he did, but she tried to keep back her anger.

SARTHISS

Sarthiss shrugged. "I dunno. One of the people who I fought with earlier had some scratches on his arm. I figured it was either you or Rosalie... But Rosalie's pretty placid, so yea." Sarthiss shrunk back a bit when her tail caught fire, and even more when he realized he couldn't see her heat signature very well because of what was going on with her arms.

CUTS

Leaning against the wall surrounding the camp, Cuts pulled out a cigarette and lit up. He saw a teen, a child of fire judging by the fancy aerial trick he pulled off, jump the wall. Cuts ignored him and took a long drag. He exhailed, absorbing a bit of water from the air and froze it against his elbow. He slammed it back into the wall, the ice shattering. Cuts flicked his ears at the sound of the boys voice, and anothr one as well. He didn't care, it wasn't his buisness. Sticking his thumbs in his pockets, he worked the cigarette to the other side of his mouth, closing his eyes and relishing in the semi-silence.

EEVEE

Eevee noticed Sarthiss draw back and she looked at him again, then the fire went out as her anger subsided a bit. However, she didn't move and just stared at him, her anger hidden in her silver eyes. She sighed and turned back to face the forest after a while, flicking her tail and ear twitching.

SUREA

Surea sat in the water cabin with a bunch of her other cabin mates, but she didn't like it. They were loud and obnoxious, and the only good thing was that most of them were her friends, so she stayed, deciding that it was better to hang out with friends then be a loner all the time.

SARTHISS

Sarthiss calmed down after Eevee stopped outwardly showing her emotions. He noticed she was looking outwards with a sence of longing. "You want to leave again?" Sarthiss asked. "I can tell when you want something. You get all slouchy." Sarthiss changed back to sensing heat, and found that somebody else was nearby. He pressed a finger to his lips, and noticed they were on the other side of the wall. Sarthiss heated his hands and shot them through the rock, cooling them to clapse over the person's mouth.

CUTS

Cuts dropped his cigarette and made a muffled noise out of the corner of his mouth as a hand shot out of the wall and grabbed him. He bit down hard, the fingers struggling for purchase on his snout. "Tha fuck, man!" He practically shouted, grabbing the hand and yanking Sarthiss up to his shoulders into the wall. Snarling, he unsheathed his claws, dark, nasty things he hadn't bothered to clean (inus almost never did), and held them above the arm.

EEVEE

Eevee was surprised as she heard a growl that was low pitched and a bit menacing. She looked over, seeing that there was a hold in the wall, and a boy that was there with...Claws? She tilted her head, standing up and then getting a good view of an Inu. She was filled with rage again, but towards their race. They almost always mess with her kind and they always use claws as an answer to solve anything. Nekos however were different. They used their claws and bite if it was really necessary only in self defense, and that included protecting others. But she stayed back, trying to keep herself in check.

SUREA

Surea stood up and stretched, yawning as she did. "Alright. I'm gonna walk around. See you guys later." And with those words she walked out of the cabin towards the woods.

CUTS

Cuts glanced sideways through the hole the child of fire had made, still growling. He saw a neko, looking on angrily. "Can't I get time for a fuckin' smoke?" He said, yanking on the arm one last time, smacking the child of fire's head into the wall. He stomped on the still smouldering one that he had dropped and pulled out a new one.

SARTHISS.

Sarthiss rubbed his head where it smacked the wall. He saw the inu pull out a lighter. "Nuh uh man, save your sparks." He reached through the hole and poked the tip of the cigarette, a small ember forming on it. "Sorry, I thought you were somebody else."

CUTS

Cuts glared at him, but then relaxed a bit when the child of fire lit his smoke. "Those air muthafuggas? They give everyone trouble. I heard you smacked the shit outta a few pretty good, nice goin. Sarthiss rite?" Cuts talked in a city dialect, using profanity often and slurring a couple of his words at the end.

SARTHISS

Sarthiss nodded. "Yea. You know my name, what's yours?" He held out his hand for the Inu to clasp. Sarthiss was liking this guy a bit.

CUTS

"They call me Cuts." He clasped Sarthiss's hand, relaxing more. "You got a cat. Hell's up with it?" He looked through the torso sized hole at the Neko.

EEVEE

Eevee was close enough to just flicking the Inu boy off, but kept that out of the equation. She sighed, looking at Wolf and then jumped into a tree close to the wall, standing and leaning on the rough bark, arms crossed. She wasn't comfortable with this new person that Sarthiss had randomly attacked out of the blue.

SUREA

Surea walked along the walls, however, she caught a glimpse of two boys talking, one an Inu and the other a boy that she heard of before. She hid behind a tree and watched from the distance.

CUTS

Cuts caught a glimpse of the hellhound as well. "Damn, I've heard of him too." He cocked his head, waggling his ears in a friendly manner. "He still acts like a pup though, he can't be that old." Cuts rubbed the scar that ran under his chin. "We've got ourselves a regular odd company here uh?"

SARTHISS

Sarthiss nodded, leaning on the hole. "I'm sorry I hit you man. You seem pretty chill."

CUTS

Cuts laughed. "Sure as hell I am, I'm a child of sweet cousin ice." He demonstrated, placing his hand on the wall that seperated him and Sarthiss, cold seeping into the stone, then freezing, expanding the hole. Cuts climbed though it so he could carry on this conversation better.

SARTHISS

"Allrigh man, that's cool," he said, rubbing his head. "But we're gonna leave a bit. Like, give the air kids some time to 'blow off' a bit of steam, eh?" He smiled at his pun. "Seriously though, sorry I smacked you around."

CUTS

"We're cool. We're cool." Cuts took another long drag on his cigarette. "I should be movin' too, don't want Rou to pin breaking the wall on me again. I'll seeya round." Cuts jammed his hands in his pockets, turning back the way he came, hunching his shoulders as he left.

EEVEE

Eevee watched him leave and then jumped down next to Sarthiss. "He seems OK..." She stated and then noticed that Sarthiss was calm. She became the same, flicking her tail and an ear.

SUREA

Surea noticed the boy with ears and snout leave, and she smiled. 'Well,' She thought. 'A Neko, Inu, and humans, all living in one area...how strange...'
