[Tapadero]

With a sigh TJ walked back around and contiuned cleaning the old and fresh marks on his body. "I am here.....when your ready" she said softly

 

[SorrelColonel]

"For what?" He asked quietly, voice almost a murmur. 

 

[Tapadero]

"Too tell me who hurt you today, preferably so I can have some proof to pin someone when I inform the police on all of this"  she said

 

[SorrelColonel]

He jolted upright, turning to her. "No!" He protested. "You can't."

 

[Tapadero]

In his sudden moment scared TJ and she accidentally bumped him rather hard with her fist "Sorry!" She quickly apologized

He winced a bit. "Don't worry about it. But don't tell the police. Please." 

 

[Tapadero]

"No Max I have to tell someone who can help you!" She demanded

 

[SorrelColonel]

"You can't. Please. Trust me on this. It won't help anything." He turned, standing, and stared into her eyes. 

 

[Tapadero]

"Why won't it hep you? If I go to someone then they can force him to stop or get you in a better situation Max" TJ tried to convince 

 

[SorrelColonel]

He shook his head. "You don't understand. He said if I ever told anyone he'd lock me away and beat me worse than ever." 

 

[Tapadero]

TJ felt her stomach twist he told me She instantly thought. But she pushed that idea out of her mind "Not if your here with me Max, I can protect you, my brothers can, and the police can!" She said

 

[SorrelColonel]

"I swear they can't. He's got an AR-15. He's prepared for me leaving and he will find me." He stared at her seriously. 

 

[Tapadero]

TJ felt her stomach twist more "I don't know what to say Max" she said softly

"You don't have to say anything." He pulled his shirt back on. "Just act like you don't know and it'll work out."

TJ looked at him "Max I can't just go around pretending like you aren't being attacked by someone" 

 

[SorrelColonel]

"You'll have to. It's the only way." He murmured. 

 

[Tapadero]

"No Max we have to tell someone" she said softly

 

[SorrelColonel]

"No, we don't." He shook his head. "Please. If you care for me at all...." He paused for an instant, as though realizing what he'd said. "Don't."

 

[Tapadero]

TJ stared at the ground "Alright, but your staying here tonight and I get your phone number" 

 

[SorrelColonel]

He nodded slowly. "Okay." He took his phone out and texted someone, then held his phone out to her, displaying his number. 

 

[Tapadero]

TJ  took it and added her number in and texted herself "Max don't leave me hanging, if I text you please text me back" she said softly  

 

[SorrelColonel]

"Never." He assured her, putting his phone away.

TJ pulled him close and hugged him

He hesitantly wrapped his arms around her, squeezing gently

TJ hugged him and then let go "Sorry"
