Hunt or be Hunted (DergTheDragon x Myla)

Sina could tell he was in extreme guilt and she holds onto his hand squeezing it reassuring him that everything will be okay, "I think we need to find some shelter again, so we have a safe spot to return to at night." Sina frowns and softly says looking at the floor while lightly kicking the sand, "I'm sorry for being the cause of why you had to leave your mom behind and why she could possibly die." Sina would've never wanted that for him and would've avoided having his mother taken away from him if possible. If she knew this would've happened, Sina would've tried to back away to not cause him any harm. @DergTheDergon

A small smile spread across Hector's face as he was reassured by her grip on his hand, happy she was looking out for him in his time of need. He nodded at her words, and without further adieu they took off, hand-in-hand, and rose above the clouds to fly as stealthily as they could for a while. After a short while of this Hector would dip under the clouds a bit to look for somewhere they could hide out for a while. At Sina's apology, he sighed. "You are not the cause of my mother's sacrifice, Sina. You are the reason she felt it was necessary. Please... let's not discuss this right now," he pleaded with teary eyes.

A silence passed, the two of them flying together, then Hector spotted a small, abandoned-looking cottage in the woods below. He pointed there. "There... that may be our safest bet for right now... and I'm rather exhausted from all the flying and... earlier events." The last part of his sentence was said with a rather sad tone. Sina had most likely not seen him so sad before, but it was understandalbe with what had just happened to him, or rather his mother, earlier.

Sina nods and talks softy while frowning, "I'm sorry, I'll stop talking about it." She follows him and sees the cottage, "Alright, but we need to make sure no one is in there when wee go in." Sina didn't like seeing him so sad, it broke her heart seeing him like that and would do anything to take away that sadness, "If it's safe, you could go ahead and rest." She lands on the floor and peeks quietly through the windows. The inside looked dark, but didn't seem to have anyone inside it so, she decided to open the door slowly.

Hector and Sina landed, and Hector nodded at her cautionary words. "Of course. I wouldn't blindly enter a place like this without know that I won't put you in danger by doing so." His tone was rather even, not as light and calm as normal, understandably. They both checked the windows thoroughly, and there seemed to be no one inside. Hector took out his pendant, spoke the word to light it up, and walked into the cabin holding it by the chain like a lantern. The place was obviously abandoned a while ago, which was good. They'd hide out here for a while while they figure out what to do. The cabin was dusty and had cobwebs here and there, but the furtiture was in good shape and it had a fireplace. With a little airing out, it would certainly be livable.

As the two began to settle into the plac,e Hector found himself feeling something... unfamiliar when he so much as looked at Sina. He felt this desire for her that went wanting to kiss her or hold her hand... then it dawned on him. When angels were married, God is said to grant them the privilege to procreate, and so they are given a libido when before they had no desire for intimacy. So why was he feeling this way about Sina now? She was no angel, and mating with a Demon is considered a sin of the highest order... or at least it was. What his mother had said to him before she sacrificed herself had seemed like God himself had told her of Hector and Sina's special bond... so had God himself given Hector a desire for intimacy? Was he to create a child with a demon, as God's will? It was unheard of, but God must've realized that his angels have been getting out of hand and stooping to demons' levels in order to combat them... Hector found himself sighing, then walking up to Sina and embracing her suddenly.

"Sina I... I'm not sure what I should do... we can hide out here for a little while, but eventually we'll have to move somewhere. Perhaps there is somewhere onearth where we'll be truly safe but until then, we have to keep going. But even more than that... I'm unsure what to do about these feelings I have for you... I find myself... wanting your body... we angels are incapable of sexual urges unless god himself grants them towards the partner for which we are meant.... Sina, will... will you lay with me?" This was probably the last request Sina was expecting from him, and if she refused it would pass and he wouldn't speak of it for the rest of his stay. But since they had been traveling together for moths now, and had fallen deeply in love during that time, he felt a desire to show his love for her in greater ways, and making love was a sacred practice among angels said to externalize thier bond.

Sina looked around at the cabin. It wasn't that bad considering they found it in the middle of the woods. Plus, it wouldn't be too hard for Sina to clean up the dust and cobwebs laying around. It would probably just take her a hour or less to do so. Sina ran her hand along the fireplace. The place to her was a lot better than the cave so she was grateful for that.

Sina was uncovering some of the cloth that was covering some of the furniture, but then accidentally dropped it not expecting Hector to suddenly embrace her. She looks up surprised, but leans into his embraced, "Don't worry, we'll find somewhere safe soon. We can't lose hope yet." Sina blushes as he talks, but stays a bit stunned into silence. She has heard about how angels don't have those desires until they meet their mate, but Sina never knew if it would apply to them for the obivious reason of her being a demon After a few seconds, Sina softly rubs his jaw looking up at him and answers nodding her head, "Yes."

Hector smiled wistfully at Sina's words of encouragement. She was right, they couldn't lose hope. Just being so close to her made him more hopeful, gave him strength and resolve. He felt her face grow warmer against his neck as he embraced her. After a few moments, Viktor looked into her eyes as she leaned back slightly, staring into his eyes and saying one word that sent his heart pumping faster than it ever had before. Loosening his grip on her back so that his hands were resting on her sides, he stared lovingly into her eyes, whispering "I love you, Sina," his breath heavy, his senses simultaneously taking every about her in. Then, he kissed her lips more passionately than he ever had before...

Some time later, Hector and Sina were laying in bed next to each other. Hector gently caressed her cheek, smiling with the utmost joy. After all that's happened, being with Sina made all his troubles disappear for a time. Hector was exhausted from the happenings of the past few days, and so he found himself closing his eyes, laying there with his arm gently wrapped around her, whispering "goodnight, Sina. I love you... so much..." and with that his breathing slowed and he fell into a peaceful sleep. @Myla

Sina stays relaxed next to Hector. Despite how the day started out, Sina's body practically hummed with happiness. She was quite sure what made her more happier. She wasn't sure if it was because they made love or if it's because she sees Hector finally have some happiness today. Whatever it was, she wasn't complaining and was grateful that. It made her happy to see her mate happy. Not to mention, he also made her feel warm and safe. She never expected to have a mate. Many have told her that for a demon it's rare to have one and not mention, if they did, it would be another demon. Even if they have to constantly be on the run, Sina was happy with Hector no matter what.

Leaning her head against his hand, she smiles looking at him and she talks softly, "I love you more." Sina scooted closer to him being relaxed and kissed his cheek as he fell asleep. Curling up in his arms, she makes sure both of them are wrapped in the blanket and falls quietly asleep next to him.

Hector slowly opened his eyes, the first thing he noticed upon waking being Sina's warm body in his arms, her warm breath could be felt against his chest. It was still rather surreal to him, what the two had done last night... apart from being one of the most wonderful experiences in his recent memory, the others of which also involved Sina of course, he couldn't wrap his head around exactly why he was overcome for desire to her. God was said to grant sexual desire to pairs of angels... but perhaps God had plans for Hector and Sina's taboo bond. Not one to question the Lord, especially if his decisions granted Hector such pleasure and a way to express his love for Sina that was previously impossible, Hector let it go. He had a feeling God's plan would be revealed in time... he also found himself worrying about Sina becoming pregnant while on the run. Whatever happened though, he would stay by her side.

Hector sat up, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, then felt something. Something sinister... he swore he felt another demon nearby, outside the cabin. He gently shook Sina awake. "Sina! Sina, my love. I think one of your kind has found us. I don't know what they could possibly want, but we need you to be awake just in case. @Myla

Sina groans softly not wanting to wake up, but when she heard him say one of her kind were there, her eyes shot open and she sat up, "Wait, what?!" Then she felt the presence and automatically becomes frightful for Hector's life. Most demons would cut off an angel's head off for all the pain they brought upon them or because some were just plain evil. Sina gets up getting dressed, "We gotta be careful. Keep in mind, if they're against us, they lean more on killing you. I just hope it's not one of the older ones, they are harder fight against." She looks at him seriously, "Please do not let them touch you if they're one of the older ones. Most elders and old demons have mental capabilites depending on their personality and mental capacity. Some could make you think your paralyzed even if you're physically not. Some could make you see horrifying things that could break you. Others could make you hear and see nothing. There's so many powers out there they could have, but most work with touch with the exception of a few cases. Be careful, if you're not mentally trained to fight against it, their power will bring you down."

Hector glances towards Sina with a worried look on his face, hastily getting dressed as she began to explain the capabilities of Demons, materializing his sword and keeping it at his side for now. "I understand your concern, Sina, and knowing they won't endanger you as much as me I will try to not do anything stupid. We angels are trained to resist mind-altering abilities but that only works to an extent... if this powerful presence is one of and Elder, which I suppose it may well be, I will endeavor to be as prepared as I can." Hector leans in and kisses her softly on the lips, leaning back and looking her in the eyes for a moment. "Whatever happens, love, we will get through this, together." He smiled to her, then breathed deeply to calm himself as the two head out say to see if they can spot this potential demon before he or she takes them by surprise. @Myla

Sina nods as she puts her hood on, "I have abilities, but mine are weak compared to theirs. You can't compare an elemental ability to a mental ability that usually is a powerhouse." Sina could feel a bit of anxiety rising up. This could go either very bad or smoothly and to her, this wasn't looking to good. Sina kisses back being worried and nods looking up at him, "I know we will, but be careful, please." Sina starts looking outside of the windows and in the window by the front door she saw movement. She whisper pointing at it,"Hector look, they're right there, but I can't really see their face to see who they are."

Hector listens to Sina's hastily-spoken words, then nods at her plead for him to be careful. "I will, Sina... I wouldn't give you cause to worry over me on purpose. Recklessness is not our way, anyway." Even as he said this he felt the presence growing closer, every time the powerful dark aura came a bit closer sending a chill down his spine. Sina pointed in the direction she saw the Demon, causing Hector's eyes to dart that direction. He saw the movement himself, and swallowed hard. It was there, looming straight in the doorway, beckoning for them to come outside. Hector swallowed hard. "Alright... let's confront him. He won't catch us off guard. Hector, summoning his resolve, went to the door and opened it, looking around for the Demon, Sina still by his side.

(Hey, I was just wondering if you had an idea of exactly who this demon could be. I have an idea for a Demon and why he would be following them, but if you can think of any direct ties to Sina I could incorporate I will definitely do so.)

At first, Sina couldn't recognize the demon with the dark hood it had on that was similar to hers. However, the moment the wind picked up and his hood fell back, Sina gasped, "Aros!" The man seemed to look like he was in his late 20's even though he was a few centuries old. He had the same fiery red hair as Sina and the same blue-green eyes. However, his looked somehow stern and intimating. He was pretty tall, maybe around Hector's height or bigger. His body was lean and a bit slim. Instead of having his scars left alone on his body like Sina, he had dark tribal-like tattoos covering them down his back and somewhat around his arms.

Hector looked voer the Demon that stood before them, standing still and patiently waiting for him to make the first move. Then the male Demon's hood fell back, and Hector found himself looking to Sina in astonishment then to the one called Aros, narrowing his eyes slightly and looking as intimidating as he can, his instincts to rptect Sina kicking in. To angels, making love instills a loyalty in both partners that is supernaturally strong and unshakable. Aros glared at him, crossing his arms. "So... this is the angel you've been running around with, Sina? Have you lost your mind?! How do you know he doesn't intend to killyou? Or that, even if he doesn't, his bretheren will hunt you down and kill you? I can smell you all over him.... I'm sorry that I have to break up this delusional relationship but it's for your own good." Without further ado, his piercing blue -green eyes stared straight into hector's Hector's eyes widened with fear a few mometns later. He was seeing horrors he could never imagine. "I came here to make you come to your senses, sister... I can't have you literally sleeping with ur anyemy anymore. If you come back with me, they won't have to hunt you down. You'll be safe." It was clear he had good intentions, and was understandably believing Hector's presence was bad for her... he believed he was just looking out for his little sister. @Myla

Sina glares at Aros, "I know what I'm doing! He isn't going to kill me, he's my mate!" The moment he said that he's gonna have to break the relationship and started to use his power against Hector, Sina flicked her wrist sending a boulder the size of a tire wheel spiraling towards him breaking the connection and felt the sudden need to protect Hector, "No!" Standing in front of Hector, she yelled out to Aros glaring at him, "I'll be damned if I let you hurt him. He is my MATE. Let me repeat this, he is my mate. Hurt him, you hurt me. Don't do it. I rather keep running than come back with you. He isn't the enemy. If he wanted to kill me, he would've done so a long time ago, but he hasn't tried to so, which means a lot. I'm telling you, Aros, he's one of the good ones. He doesn't mean harm."

At the words "He's my mate," Aros scowled. As the boulder began careening through the air towards him, Aros spread his wings and dodged the boulder, feet just barely not touching the ground as he got out of the boulder's trajectory with great speed, his feet then touching the ground again. This was worse than Aros thought.... she had a blind devotion to Hector he didn't think she was capable of... she used to despise his kind, for good reason.... what had this man done to make her... fall in love with him? So much that'd she'd she'd attack her own brother? Aros didn't continue using his powers.. she was far too emotionally unstable and blinded by Hector's actions towardsd her to understand the gravity of her situation he figured.

"Sina... this is insane. You know what the others will do to you if they found out... if you stay with him, you're both doomed to be hunted by both Demons and angels for eternity... there'll be no reprieve, no chance to enjoy what you two have in peace.... and you," Aros glared towards Hector menacingly. "What do you plan to do with her? Why do you whisk her away from your own kind? Have you truly fallen or are biding time so that your friends could get to her?" Hector returned his gaze fearlessly, eyes completely serious, body straight and rigid. "Aros... I understand that you worry for Sina. I promise I have no ill will towards her, or you, or anyone. I... I will not lift a finger to fight you. You are her family, and thus I see no reason to harm you... Sina herself seems to be having none of it, though... I promise I am not manipulating her."

Aros scowled, pacing back and forth, clearly not having his... he didn't believe him at all but didn't want to anger his sister further. He sighed. rubbing his temples. "I'm just trying to look out for you, Sina," he said, looking to her with pleading eyes. "Regardless of all truths I may be inclined not to beleive, you're still endagering your life, and your "mate's", he said using a mocking tone and air qoutes," "by staying with him and therefore remaining the enemy of all Demon AND angel Kind. This is serious, Sina." @Myla

Sina sighs, "Yes, I know how bad it could get and I accept that, but I'm choosing not to keep living without him. I want Hector. I love him. Besides, you bring me back now and they'll gonna kill me either way. One, because we made love and they're gonna smell him on me. They're gonna know we're mates, so it's useless to go back. Two, because if you found out, others probably know as well." Sina mentally adds in not saying out loud, Three, I may or may not be pregnant with our baby. Sina suddenly sighs and leans back against Hector's chest rubbing her face, "Either you're with us or against us. You could try to "save" or "protect" me, but it's not gonna work, they're gonna try to kill me anyways, Aros."

Aros sighed, clearly both exasperated by his sister's behavior and feeling a bit guilty that, without knowing the extent of her feelings for Hector and how close they had become, he went haywire and made to harm Hector out of anger. He'd always been a bit overprotective of her... and after searching for her this long he felt the need to justify his actions, tell her how long he's been searching for her and why it's imperitaive for her to leave this fool and come back... but at the same time he knew that wasn't going to work on her. She was madly in love with him, he could smell it... speaking of what he smelled... it hadn't really sunk in until just now, caught up in his anger, the implications that had been dropped earlier that Sina and Hector had mated. Aros' eyes widened, and he felt anger welling up in him again. Not as much at Hector this time, then at himself. He was too late... no wonder her scent on him was so strong... but aren't Angels supposed to only be able to mate with another Angel? It still hadn't fully sunk in for Aros... he didn't want to believe it. Aros sighed in frustration.

"You're... you're right, Sina," he spoke in a quiet, defeated tone. "I just... I've been searching for you high and low for so long , and after having finally found you I learn it's already too late. You'll have to run and hide for the rest of your life , or they'lll... they'lll..." he couldn't bring himself to say the words 'kill you', understandably. Tears began to well in his eyes. Hector looked towards him and calmly spoke up. "Aros... for what it's worth, I have done and will continue to do all I can to ensure nothing happens to your sister. I truly do care about her... I just hope you'll understand with time." Aros scowled towards Hector for a moment, but said nothing and subsequently slumped down onto the ground, head lowered, fists clenched in anger and the feeling of hopelessness. @Myla

Sina sighs and walks toward Aros sitting in the front of him, "Aros, if I didn't meet Hector now, I would still eventually meet him. Soulmates are pre-choosen by god, you know this. It's better now that we found each other than later on when everything gets or is worse." She frowns, "Yes, I understand they'll gonna try to kill us. I would love nothing more to be able to walk around with Hector without everyone trying to go after us, but that's not how life is. It's gonna be cruel and hard sometimes, but in others it's gonna be great and loving. You never know, maybe we'll find a place where we don't have to run, but for to find that we have to keep searching." Sina pats the spot next to her gesturing for Hector to come towards her and sit next to her, "He really has been keeping me safe. Even the first time we met, he saved me from being killed by werewolves. Give him a chance. I trust him and so should you."

Aros listens to her words, still sulking, nodding every now and then. She was right... he'd been blinded for the months he's been searching for her by blind anger against angels, believing the Angel she'd been seen with, Hector, to be manipulating her because of blind prejudice. He was just now coming to terms with the fact that he may be wrong, despite Hector's kind being his race's sworn enemy and never having heard of an angel who would spare a demon's life, let alone what Hector's done with his sister, or anything in between. Then again... she did have a point. The only way he could feasably see that this very convincing bond between demon and angel was truly what it seemed is if God had chosen a Demon for an Angel's mate, but why would he do such a thing? Aros' kind were shunned by him, God's Angels sent to destroy them. In the back of his mind though. Aros thought that maybe, his prejudices weren't so well-founded.

As Sina bid Hector to sit down next to her, and of course he promptly did so, respectfully gazing towards Aros, Aros looked at him, seeming to contemplate something... especially as Sina's words turned to how he had been protecting her all this time. "Sister... you mean to say the reason your'e alive now, is because of this angel? If you're certain.... I'll have to think about this. Part of the reason I've been searching for you though is to take you to safety.... a split faction of our kind is searching for your. Thier numbers are more than you and Hector can outrun, I'm sure of it... I know where they're coming from... in fact they think I'm one of them... I suppose if you're so adamant on staying with him, I should do the same... you two will need my knowledge to survive the Demons that are coming for you." His serious gaze swept over the both of them Hector looked to be studying Aros in an inquisitive Manner, wondering what he meant by all this and what he would do now, if he wasn't going to continue trying to fight Hector and separate him and Sina. Respectfully though, he refrained from speaking to a man only Sina knew. She seemed to have this handled. He calmly sat there next to her, not holding her hand or holding her close to him like he normally would just in case Aros didn't take kindly to that, which he certainly wouldn't.

Sia rubs her face suddenly tired and sighs, "Do you know what they're planning? If they gonna do worse thing before killing us if they capture us? If they plan to corner us? How many would they send after us? If they're gonna go all out to hunt us? Please tell us whatever you know. It would help a great deal." Sina could feel her stress level heighten, but she knew before hand that they are gonna be hunted. However, she never planned for demons to hunt them down as well. The only people who seem to be on their side is Hector's mom and Aros. Sina runs her fingers through her hair as she tries to come up with something. After a few seconds, she has an idea, but wasn't sure if it would work, "What about instead of just running, we start searching for others like us. If God made us possible, that means we can't be the only angel and demon pair out there. Plus, look at the demon and human pair that Hector knew, they weren't the same species, but they were still mates. That means we aren't the only ones. That maybe there's others like us and if we could form an alliance with them, we could fight back instead of running all of the damn time."

"Woah, woah, slow down Sina," Aros exclaimed. "They're sending about ten of the most powerful, notorious Demons in thier clan after you. I have no idea what they're going to do but, they plan to capture you and kill you for sure... if they fail, they'll just send more. We're sacing literal hundred-to-one odds here... that's what I came to warm you about to be honest, but I let my prejudices twist the original message... sorry, Hector." His apology was reluctant, said while looking away Hector, and almost sarcastic-sounding, but somehow Hector felt like he meant it. "It's alright, Aros. You are forgiven." Angels had it in them to quickly forgive any offense, even if some of them had forgotten that in their pursuit of the Demons.

Both Hector and Aros found themselves looking wide-eyed at Sina as she explained her plan. Aros was the first to speak up. "Wow, Sina.... I hadn't thought of that but, I think I know here to start. It's a goddamned longshot, and a crazy idea, but I'd rather die trying to do something more proactive the run forever... and I'm sure aas hell not going to go back to the others that want you dead. Remember Tyros, Sina? He disappeared shortly after you did... rumor has it he fell in love with an angel woman. This faction hunting you two down started to from because of quite a few Demons being "softened by angel and mortal bonds" as a lot of Demons like to say. I'm not exactly sure where Tyros would be hiding but I have a general idea. Sound like a plan, Sina?" Hector looked to Sina and said calmly "if you're willing to trust Aros on this, so am I. I am with you all the way... if we can find others like us, and somehow put a stop to all the oppression, then maybe... someday, even if it's centuries from now we can have peace."

@Myla

Sina groans when she hears about the one hundred to one chance. She leans against Hector's side knowing Aros wouldn't like it, but did it either way needing the comfort, "The only way we could stand the chance of taking on those demons would be with an army." Remembering Tyros, Sina nods, "Yes, but he must be well hidden if they haven't caught him yet. However, if we get him and the others to agree, where would we train an army? We can't create an army and lead them blindly into war, that's just suicidal. We will need to find somewhere well hidden and out of site." Sina smiles softly when Aros apologizes to Hector. Maybe he's coming to his senses that Hector doesn't mean harm and for that she was grateful.

Sina nods and frowns, "But for now we need to keep going on the run and stay searching. Now more than ever, we are being hunted.. Let's try to first find Tyros and his mate. Maybe by finding him, we'll find others. If not, we'll start taking out a map and start hoping from place to place looking for people like us. In the places we don't find them, we cross it out. Hopefully we will stumble across some." Sina looks at the house and back at them frowning, "However, I do think we should go inside soon. If they're hunting us down, I would prefer us to not be sitting out in plain site... It just feels unsafe now compared to a hour ago." Sina gets up and starts heading back inside, but whispers to Hector, "Would it be selfish of me to say I don't want to wait for centuries to come for some peace. That I want it now, not later?"

Aros scowled a little towards Hector as Sina leaned against him,but seeing her visibly relax just being close to him he scoffed and looked away. It would take a while for him to fully trust Hector to the point where his attitude doesn't rear its ugly head every five seconds, but deep down he knew Hector didn't mean Sina harm, angel or no. Besides, if it was really true that Tyros fell in love with an angel, Aros could certainly get used to his old friend being in a relationship like that. Tyros always didn't get along with his superiors, reeling it was best to bit a bit less cruel and more merciful than others in the army. Aros realized, thinking about this, that he'd be happy for Tyros if he saw him together with his fabled Angel mate... so why didn't he like Hector and Sina being together. Deep down, Aros knew he was letting his prejudice get in the way of something that part of him knew was right for Sina. His protective nature had bled into his hatred for Angel kind, making it difficult to relax around Hector and Sina acting so close to each other.

"Yeah, you're right about needing an army. I'm not sure if there's enough people like you two to stand a chance in the whole damn world, but we have to try," Aros replied. "Good thinking Sina. We'll need to build them up first, find a place to train. Baby steps and all that. Good thing we're immortal, 'cause I think we'll need a loooong time to figure all of this out." Aros and Hector both nod and get up when Sina suggests that they all head back inside for now. Hector walks side by side with her back into the cabin, Aros following behind grumbling about the two of them needing to "get a room" and not "act so damn mushy all the time." As Sina whispered to him, Hector looked down solemnly for a moment before turning to her and giving her a wistful smile. "Not selfish, but... impatient. Things like planning a rebellion of this scale just don't happen overnight... but I'll be there with you, every step of the way." Hector and Aros sit down in the cabin next to Sina, and Aros' eyes start to droop and his eyelids begin to close. "I've been traveling all night, I'm beat. I feel like I should be awake just in case others find this place though..."
