Hunt or be Hunted (DergTheDragon x Myla)

Sina smiles blushing and mumbles, "Thank you." She lays down on the bed next to Hector. Normally, she would've been embarrassed to ask, but since it was Hector and since she really was exhausted Sina wasn't embarrassed to ask. Hector's silence made her doubt that was okay to sleep next to him and made him look uncomfortable, "If you want I could just go back to my bed, I don't mind."

Hector shakes his head. and reaches out to stroke her hair reassuringly. "No-no, It's alright, I... you just surprised me." Hector smiles reassuringly towards Sina, whilst getting more comfortable. He gives her a quick kiss on the cheek for extra assurance, before relaxing again.. "Goodnight, Sina."

Sina nods and smiles as her eyes start drooping, "Alright and thank you. Sweet dreams and good night." Sina falls asleep a minute two after.

Hector falls asleep shortly after Sina does, comforted by her quiet snores, and simply being so close to him. When Hector awoke, he found himself laying on his side, holding her closely to him, an arm around her waist. She was still asleep, so Hector laid there quietly, waiting for her to stir. It was not difficult, as he quite enjoyed being in this position. He felt like he could lay here all day easily.

Sina stays asleep throughout the rest of the night comfortably. She wakes up later that morning, but doesn't open her eyes. Sina lays close to Hector, not yet realizing how close she was. She feels a comfortable and arm weight around her waist. As she opens her eyes, Sina realizes the weight was Hector's arm. She looks up at Hector and blushes, "Good morning."

Hector notices Sina stirring and smiles as she turns towards him, realizing the position they're in. "Good morning. I'd ask if you slept well, but I can infer that you did." He chuckled slightly, and began to sit up. "We're going to need supplies very soon... I suggest that around sundown we go back to the hideout and then gather them in the same area. As for what else we're going to do until then... I am unsure."

Sina nods rubbing her eyes, "Alright and I think we should see if we could find a map or something to get a layout of the land. If we manage to find one, then we might be able to loose some wolves." She sits up, "I used to have a dagger, but I had to leave it before. We might need to find another weapon for self-defense because if not and somehow we get into another fight, it's good to be hand-to-hand combat. I'm not so good with my hands, but I have a good throwing hand when it come to throwing daggers."

"Hmmmm...." hector stretched and yawned as he thought of how they could accomplish either of those things. "Speaking of a map, the other unlocked building we found looked to be some sort of library. If there are any intact maps of the area around here, they'd be there... though since that's where the creature disappeared back into, I will have you stay here whilst I go look for one. As for weapons, I'm not sure.... We could exlpore and see if they also left behind and armory or something akin to that, but If I was the creature I would hide any intact weapons. If I run into him, he may be willing to lend me a hand... not very hopeful in that regard, but I doubt he'd harm me. Again though, I'd rather you stay here with all the doors and windows locked for now. if you hear exactly 7 raps at the door, that's me. Alright?"

Sina bites her lip, "Alright please do be careful." She hugs him looking up at him, "Please please please please, be careful, I don't trust the creature."

Hector hugs her back. "I will be. If I don't find a map at the very least after looking around the library for a bit, I will come back... I don;t trust him either." With that, he walked out the door and closed it behind him. He looked around for a bit before remembering exactly where the library was, and headed there.

Sina sighs nodding and locks the door after him and starts pacing. The blue creature comes out again and follows Hector, but doesn't show himself yet.

Hector cautiously approaches the library door and opens it, looking all around the inside. He doesn't see hide nor hair of the creature as he looks around. Most of the material was destroyed, but after a bit of searching he comes across a shelf full of rolled-up parchments, possibly maps. He approaches the shelf and takes on of them out, spreading it flat. It was probably a map. but the symbols were odd and the key was in a language he couldn't read. He then swore he heard something. he whirled around. "Who's there?'

The creature scowls speaking in his whistle like voice, "You didn't bring the Demon with you this time?" It steps out looking at Hector and looks to see where Sina is, "Where's the demon?" If the creature could, it would be smirking right now, "Did you kill it because if having follow you like a lost puppy and having trust in you before killing was a part of the plan I approve."

Hector frowns towards the creature, an annoyed expression on his face. "No. Angels do not lie. Everything I said yesterday is the truth, including the fact that she means no harm. Regardless, we are probably leaving this place soon, so you won't have to worry about her for long... if I am allowed to take this map, it will hopefully expedite the process. So, may I take it?"

The creature frowns, but nods, "You may take it as long as you get out of here. Soon. I don't want any other demons attracted here, only for them to create another raid.." The creature growls thinking about the raids that happened there before because of demons or werewolves.

Hector nods, and rolls up the map. "I understand. We will leave very soon. I am sorry.... you seem to have lost so much. Thank you for your understanding despite this." With that, Hector turned and began walking away. There was no use asking him about weapons as far as hector was concerned. That would probably only be pushing his luck. Having gotten what he came for, Hector simply headed back to the small house Sina was holed up in, and knocked on the door seven times.

Sina has been silently pacing until she heard the knocks. She counted the knocks in her head, One.... Two... Three..... Four.... Five.... Six.... Seven.... At the number seven she automatically unlocked the door, "You're back." She smiles and looks at him to makes sure he's okay.

Hector smiles back and steps inside. "That I am, and with a map to boot." Hector promptly began to spread the map out on the table. "It's in an ancient language, of course, but I think I can make out some landmarks I remember, such as the entrance to the hideout here," Hector said as he points to the said location on the map.

Sina looks at the map and nods looks around looking for something. She finds what she was looking for, a pencil. Sina goes back to the map writing down the places they been to and the place they know that there is a bunch o wolves, "It's better to write things out, or else later we will forget which are the no-go zones and then we stumble by accident into trouble."

Hector nods, studying Sina's work intently as she marks the important areas on the map. "Good thinking. When we go out for supplies tonight, I suggest we start looking for some of the more unfamiliar areas, so we can start on a plan to move on from this forest entirely. As convenient as it is staying here, we can't risk the wolves discovering us by sticking so close to their territory for much longer. Besides that... let's just say I ran into the creature and he made it clear he wants us gone soon. Don't worry, nothing bad happened, he even gave me permission to take this map himself. But he snuck up on me quite easily. He must know this place like the back of his hand."

Sina frowns hearing about his run in with the creature, but nods, "I'm glad that he gave you the map, but I'm not happy to hear that he snuck up behind you. I agree about it being time for us to start leaving soon. So.. Any ideas on where we should go?" She looks at the map, "We need somewhere where we could move somewhat freely, but somewhere that we could gain supplies."

Hector studies the map intently, deep in thought. 'Hmmm.... that is an excellent question..." He looked at where the the entrance to the hideout was on the map, and began to look from there. he studied where Sina had marked wolf territory, and then started looking at the surrounding areas. there seemed to be an area of foothiills to the north, then mountains. He stroked his chin, deep in thought for a while, before looking up at Sina. "Hmm, there looks to be some highlands here," Hector said while pointing to where it was marked on the map. "Usually there is a decent amount plant life and such in those sorts of areas, though not as much as in the forest... however, it is difficult for wolves to traverse the hills and such. But with our wings, we'd have no problem with it. Do you think heading towards that area is worth a shot?"

Sina nods, "I think so, but the climate does change. It gets a lot colder there and we have more of a chance of rain. Meaning, we need to find shelter and some warmer clothing. Also, when we fly there we need to fly higher than usual above the clouds, because you have to keep in mind that the first places wolves will be checking for us is up in the sky. If fly above the clouds quickly they won't be able to see us."

Hector nods back. 'Yes, indeed.... but it we manage to keep all of that is mind, find some good shelter and some warmer clothes, we may be much safer over there, from the wolves at least..." Hector looks up at the cieling of the cae, there was some sunlight shining through some skylights. "it looks as though we have a while until evening, when it's safest to move. I suggest we head back to the hideout for now, and wait there for the right time to move. Sound like a plan?"

Sina nods, "Yes, that seems like a good plan." She grabs her cloak and reaches for a flashlight in the room that was laying around, "This might help as well to have some light when walking through the tunnel."
