*Shrug* Most of the time.. yeah. xD the first time I think that I didn't fail was when I chose the character path of a cross-dresser. LOL every other time I have to cheat in one form or another if I don't want to get the bad ending. xD

Mmmm... in the ones I play sometimes it's implied but it's kinda' like the... fade to black stuff on RPN. Sometimes it's not implied at all. The male versions of the games... well I haven't really played those but I know the more popular ones have like...graphic sex in them. xD though I suppose those are more hentai games than bishojo. I don't really read shojo manga.

Hahaha... yeah. Really like... one of the ones I play I just have a hard time determining which answer is the right one. xD the goal is to stay on one path and there are three. It's like a scale, you have to teeter one way or the other and if you don't teeter at all you get the bad ending. I always get the bad ending and the bad endings are always REALLY bad. So I am cheating on that one this time around because I can't take another bad ending on it. xD

Male counterparts are called otome too, right? Like Otome is like a Japanese term for a visual novel kind of getting lots of guys/girls kind of game?

No, otome means maiden, So they are maiden games meaning they are directed at girls. xD Bishojo games are gal games (for whatever reason they both are called something feminine) but those ones are directed towards guys.
