I think James just means that he rather avoid sacrificing his family in order to save the world, not that he's gonna let the world die in order for his family to survive. XD

I know. xD you know... Lydia and Renee really need to like... sit down and talk. o_o like girl to girl. I feel like there's some sort of weird tension between them that needs to be resolved before the final battle. xD

They don't seem to like... ever agree on anything and I think that it just gets worse when Seifer's around. xD like I think that maybe, just maybe, Lydia might still be upset with Seifer and just tries to act like she isn't? Because I can't really see any other reason for her getting so agitated when he's around.

Think about it: Renee is probably the first one out of everyone during the travels who went up to her and became friends. They had a connection that calmed Lydia down and gave her some sort of courage in whatever...but then...that slowly changed as soon Seifer woke up before reaching Dalaran. Renee payed a bit more attention to him instead of her within time and it's to the point where even when it's just the two of them together, Renee doesn't feel comfortable with Lydia to just talk anymore like before and Lydia just shuts herself up whenever Renee is nearby. Instead of talking it out like before. Just now, with what happened in James' soulroom, she got angry just because Seifer only mentioned his opinion. If it was James who said his opinion, I bet you right now, she would be a lot calmer instead of anger. I'm not saying she wouldn't correct their mistakes; she still would but a lot more calmer instead of out right getting agitated and blame a single person for it. Do you get what I mean?
Of course that's just in my head, coming up with why she could be jealous. It might also explain why Renee feels really weird to be around Lydia too and is just really...quiet? Not quiet but not as talkative either with Lydia around...
That and there's also the fact that she's agitated of how open Seifer and Renee are with their relationship too. Raised as a proper girl, she would probably find their relationship too...attached and revealing instead of closed and private like she is with James.

xD it's okay... um... well I really don't think Lydia is jealous. lol like I said, I kinda' think that she just really doesn't trust him a whole lot as much as she tries to, I think that she thinks that Seifer just takes advantage of how Renee felt for him from the beginning and that they kinda' have a... symbiotic relationship. xD like Seifer uses Renees feelings to make himself feel better and keeps her liking him by babying her. I mean, he even calls her baby. Lydia probably also feels neglected because Renee like completely just stopped hanging out with anyone else when Seifer accepted her, I mean, she even got them lost and separated from the group because she decided to go off and fool around with them and I think that Lydia sees it as they care more about each other than anyone else. Like no one else matters and it makes her really angry.

Ha! I can't wait for these two talk before the battle then because if that's how Lydia honestly views Renee and her relationship with Seifer, then she got another thing coming. Sorry about the late response I was getting ready to go out. XD But yea, Renee is gonna be offended by that view and she's going to tell Lydia that she take things too literally with that nickname and jumps to conclusions without even trying to investigate on her own when it comes to people.

xD Renee really shouldn't be surprised over Lydia's view of their relationship. I mean, the most time she has spent with the two of them together was in the airship and they were like all over each other all the time so it was very uncomfortable for Lydia and it just seemed like they were only following their hormones. xD and that opinion only seemed to be proved right with how they were always running off together once they were off the airship. Also, I don't know about you, but I can't even ever really remember Lydia telling them that she was happy for their relationship. Like she was glad they worked things out or whatever. I honestly don't think she believes that they are going to end up together, like it's just a fluke and they'll break up when everything is over and that they only need each other right now.

Which is why I'm saying Renee will be very offended. She knows what she will be implying and that will really hurt Renee. Basically Lydia thinks that Renee and Seifer's relationship is not real, that James is wrong about them, and that her own feelings towarda Seifer is not true like hers with James, right? I really can't wait to write what Renee will tell her.

I'm kinda' wondering if their relationship will even get fixed. xD I mean because Renee is much more outspoken than Lydia so if she goes off on her, I don't know how Lydia will take it. I mean, there hasn't really been an opportunity for Lydia to observe them in any other light because they spent more of their time in private than with anyone else. xD like to her it looks like they are really unhealthily attached to each other, like they are incapable of being apart.

With time, it will. If they are going to be family, like all of them, then she'll have time to see what Renee and Seifer will do for each other and be seperate for a period of time too.

Hahahaha... and Lydia still doesn't know how to deal with stuff like this, remember she hasn't had any female friends outside of her brother's wife. All of her other female friends were from before she left school.

Exactly. Besides Renee always went up to her when Lydia had something in her mind...maybe she can try to do that to Renee instead?
