Okay, if Lydia cast her spell or looked through the spyglass, she'd notice that the mounted soldiers are uncharacteristically nervous for a bunch who should feel safe within their territory.
 
Well she's already suspicious... amplify would just eavesdrop on them, should she use that to see what they are saying or are they quiet?
She would be able to catch mutterings of: "Don't look at them." and in the fort. "Ambush is a go in fifteen minutes." Three people replied with, "Copy."
 
Okay, well I'll have her cast then.

*Can heal, restoring 2 Hp per round.

Snipers

*Attacks 3 times, +4 defense, + 3 success.
 
Or wait, was the perception roll for amplify? I mean, technically it is a perception ability? So upon that successful roll, she would have heard them?
 
OKAY! So I can roll to attack and that was a fail, so does the weapon enchant allow for a reroll or did I need charms?
Yes, the weapon enchant allows a reroll, we can assume it was a failed conjuration check. Her weapon's chosen ability for re-roll is Conjuration, right? Or one-handed?
 
One-handed, but she would have cast Rain of Fire on the mounted company and she doesn't have to speak the words for that anymore so... well I'll take care of it in my post. xD
