omfg I can totally picture it in your art style too. xD like him with his head slightly tilted so he can look up at her and her looking down at them like they are talking about something funny from one of their books.

Well.. she has longer hair now, and she parts her bangs at the side and pins them behind her ears since they have gotten a lot longer, but she still wears it in a high ponytail for the most part. xD she doesn't really wear anything very revealing, like she doesn't generally show cleavage or her thighs or tummy and she usually wears something pretty lose, unless you want to put her in her mage armor? I can post the pic that inspired it for you to use... oh and if she's reading of course she has her glasses on. xD

I mean, even when she went swimming with James, she was still wearing capris and I think she had a halter top on at that time? but it was one of the long ones so her tummy was covered (I think that's what she was wearing, can't remember. xD)

Well I mean... even if she's not the love of his life, she can see that he still cares. Otherwise she'd probably want to break up with him after what happened. lol he never even mentioned Hailey to her so she gets that he doesn't think of her so much, but that he still does love her. In the event that she does get to stay with him she'll probably ask if Hailey came back to him, if he'd leave her for Hailey though.

HMMM!! XD And we get see James panic now. Cause, if I remember correctly, Hailey was gentle and sweet and smart and caring too...but James stopped paying attention to her for work. So...yea... XD That's what I remember about her anyways.

Yeah... but I think the thing is that... Lydia enjoys just being in the same room as him and isn't one to interrupt him either. xD so she could be working on something in the same room and be just as happy as if they were talking. Now, if he locked himself up in a room and didn't come out for a long time and wouldn't let her study in the same room then that might be a problem.
