Ohhh~! and that would fit in perfectly if he was to be a dad too. Because then he has both the educational aspect and the personal one too! .....I need to stop over thinking and getting excited about these discoveries. XD
 
Katsuya Katsuya , like there is a war and Kenren Taisho is trying to unify the orients and James and Chenglei are on different factions in the war. The swordsman who is the prince's right hand, and the tactician summoner of an enemy faction.
 
Ah mah goodness!! XD That would be so much fun to do~!! Holy jackflakes on a noodle!

Then they start to have a feel for each other as time continues on with James trying to keep an eye on the proceedings and Chenglei hangs out with him just because why not and tries to get along, but then hark! Someone killed someone else in their temporary peace treaty and the pair has to choice: Their friend/ partner or...their factions????? Zer0 Zer0

James chooses his faction, saying that he was using Chenglei all along, and hurts him. During the chase for some reason Chenglei couldn't deal the killing blow to James and he was allowed to escape. James may not know it, but that's when his feelings for Chenglei began.

Then dum-dum-dum, war begins.
 
Yea, once Chenglei gets down and depressed, he's really somber too. So James might have to build up that trust Chenglei had with him from the floor up and who knows if Chenglei would even try to see James after that since he might be scared to lose him if someone spots him during the war. Katsuya Katsuya , James would be in denial of his feelings. He didn't like guys, he liked women. And besides, he was never going to see Chenglei again. And so the war is waged, but James keeps getting bothered. One day he is tasked to fight against the battalion where Chenglei is. He doesn't know why he's doing this but he goes and secretly meets Chenglei telling him to leave the men behind and save himself because the camp will burn tomorrow. That is all James would say since James was still loyal to his faction. And if Chenglei asks why it's because James just wanted to repay him sparing his life that one time.

Then Chenglei doesn't leave?

And in the fighting James battalion loses instead. And Chenglei looks for his body among the wreckage and secretly nurses him in a cave or something?

And James is like, why are you doing this, we are enemies.
 
Chenglei would probably be like "If we're enemies like you say, then why even tell me about the arson?" He would glare at James suspciously as he doesn't trust him despite being nice towards the tactician. "Why not use me again like you did the first time?" Then he stays quiet every time he comes back to the cave? place where he's keeping and nursing James in.

Oddly enough Chenglei would still treat him nicely, leave him food and water as James gets better and tells him he can leave whenever he's ready because obviously Chenglei would rather risk his life to save the guy he likes than to keep him in an area that he does not want to stay. Not once looking back to check if James would leave or stay...

James would be frustrated and be like, why is this so hard? Why is it hard to leave?

And then James is spotted! Chenglei is suspected of fraternizing with the enemy, but James does this move where they believe he is Chenglei's prisoner. And so they are brought to Kenren and of course Chenglei would trust him with the truth. So James is kept prisoner and then days alter Kenren tells Chenglei to show James their way of life. It might change his mind about them and win him over to their side.

Then James sees that his enemies weren't as bad as he thought. Kenren was actually okay and Chenglei wasn't so bad himself, though he knew that a long time ago. Then James starts to feel the feelings, that he wouldn't mind being this way with Chenglei forever, but he's not sure Chenglei feels the same way so he keeps it to himself. And besides, guy-guy relationships are taboo in the orients. They could get killed just for that.

Kenren begins to trust him and James secretly helps them with the war.

Chenglei would be so confused as to why James would pretend to be his prisoner, buy goes along anyways. Of course Chenglei would tell the prince the truth and when he got permission to show James around, he became Happy and showed him around his home.

Of course, Chenglei believes that James does not like him like how he likes him, so he keeps his hands to himself, unaware of James feelings. Though sometimes he forgets to not touch James like sometimes he would touch his hands briefly or sometimes he'll be too close when he believes that James is sick or something.

While knowing about the taboo, most already knew that he's the touchy feely type and most wouldn't think much if he sticks with James a lot.

Once he realizes that James is helping the prince, Chenglei would start feeling a fear that James might use the prince like how he used him before. So he makes sure to double check everything. He likes James but he wouldn't want James to start causing trouble again.

XD we just Made a total War drama with James and Chenglei. XD I swear at the end Kenren is like "yea, sure you two can go down with each other and whatever sexy times you guys have. Just make sure to not be around me when you do." XD Zer0 Zer0

I think in the end, it'd be nice if Chenglei and James get to travel around the orients as a symbol of unity between the two factions. And then one day be like, we have been dating for something months and nothing has happened. They may be the symbol of unity, but they're not united themselves --- James would be like, "I'm not certain that's what it means" ---- and then they go down and wrestle with less than adequate cloths on to see who's on top. James becomes bottom. The end.
 
CHENGLEI AND JAMES WRESTLING just made me realize the most plausible reason for James to run from Lydia. xD if she gets too buff from training with Echo. lmao
