My Uncle used to paint with oil paints. I did for a while too. xD my best painting was a watercolor when I was in first grade though. LOL that doesn't sound very spectacular but considering how old I was and the intricacy of the painting, it was pretty awesome for my age. Katsuya

That's cool. One of my teachers (for some reason we had two in that class) was (was married to someone?) Japanese and we had a whole Japanese day where we wore kimono and ate in the classroom and used Japanese paint brushes and stuff. xD I just remember that painting because I remember being aware of reflections on the water and perception. lol so when I think about it now, I am like, "how was I even thinking like that when I was like seven?" Cool!!! I know that I didn't have that type of different culture experience when I was a wee kid. There were only hispanics from Central America at time so the elementary school I went to only had culture week, but most of the cultures we get were hispanic ones. Then one year when I was in I think seventh or sixth grade, the princiaple thought he was being clever and chose a culture for each classroom to do. My class had to do Cuba...and the song was from the mask movie. XD We basically had to dance to the song. Roleplay Skittle I didn't know how to draw at time, but I did graffiti my test papers all the time. XD

We didn't have a culture week at any of the schools I went to. xD that was just a one day thing, we did have Spanish class starting at a young age though because I remember going and helping the younger kids with theirs. I did a lot of tutoring when I was a kid. lol but when I was in like sixth grade, we had a culture fair and my friends and I got India and we went all out. It was madness. xD it was just the three of us, but our booth was pretty awesome.

I used to graffiti my everything. xD if it was paper, I drew on it. I actually learned to draw because of my grandma. She gave me a picture she drew of a mermaid and I was just so amazed that I traced it over and over and over again. Like to the point that I could look at it and draw freehand. So I got really good at copying other pictures. I drew this awesome bird when I was in like fifth grade, could never draw people though. D: unless they were anime. xD I could draw anime pretty good but my style changed every time I got bored. Katsuya

I actually can't copy anything to save my life. XD Didn't think that I needed to draw real life stuff until collage happened. So imagine my surprise to see a life drawing model like in the movies....

But I do know that one of the drawings I made was actually featured in one of the 9/11 memorial calendars that held a competition for kids...thing is I can't remember what I drew. XD Roleplay Skittle Was too young to remember it.

I made a recycling poster for a contest once and I won and it was supposed to be a cash prize but I never saw it. D: I was like... I think that was in first or second grade too. xD I have this big issue with art and I've always had an issue with art classes. xD I hated being told what to draw and how to draw it. For me, it was either or. Either tell me what to draw or tell me how to draw it but being told both felt too restricting for me. Katsuya

Yea, same. I hated it when someone told me what to draw and how to draw it. Thing is the person didn't know what he was saying! XD We had to draw/show a literal version of a simile and there were 150 similes to do. I was the only one in the whole class that knew how to draw and this guy kept telling me how to draw it while criticizing it when it was his idea in the first place. So I grabbed a marker and made whiskers on his face. I had a short temper as a kid. XD Roleplay Skittle
