I have many more female characters than male--all my prettyboys are gay or pan, and most of my gals are pan or ace (It's fair to note that a good portion of my characters are also inhuman eldritch abominations :33) . I'm such a big queer ;3;

I don't figure there's anything altogether special about character sexuality. Straight is no different from gay, ace is no different from pan. I say do what you like so long as you're proud of it. Being proud of yourself is something that's very important too. I will admit though, I highly enjoy the 'gaydar' joke with Ellie. Ellie is my child. She's so precious to me.

I suppose, since I'm in a very wordy mood, I could explain Ellie's canon parallels?


The girl isn't even human canonically, she's a colonist race of humanoids (okay she's practically human nix a few key differences) around ten generations down the road--born in the slum province of Proletaria on the moon Arcadia. There, the poor crowd the streets like roaches might a rotting log. Human hives.. Literal cement structures hollowed out like hives--collapses were common.


Gregory, rather than act as an old, kindly adoptee, is an ex king excommunicated by the queen Amidatty Marxis of Arcadia for having (plenty of) affairs with uh.. Staff members. The maids, chefs, you name it. He was a hunk. Fuck it.


He moves to the Woods of Elvask and becomes a recluse, going into the city for meager work as a hitman. He's a big guy. Eight feet tall, big broad shoulders, all that jazz. He finds Ellie on the streets in Proletaria after completing a job and his heart practically melts. An eight year old gal just sitting on her lonesome with no guardian in sight. He takes her home and raises her as her own in hopes of amending all his mistakes and ruining his relationship with Amaya, his blood daughter.


Ellie moves to Epsilon later after recuperating. She gets meager work as a bookstore clerk, but she likes it.


This version of Ellie, I enjoy it so much because it's a vastly different time period and technological, uhh.. Shift. There aren't working phones where she lives, or TVs or iphones or internet.


Actually, I'm extremely fond of human Ellie. So thanks!!! For prompting me to figure out the changes. She seems so much happier traveling with new companions.
