[Deadly Malice]

Keir smiled as he was placed into Slytherin, following into his families steps. He skipped over to the table and sat down randomly as he watched the rest of the first years get sorted. Then, as a random teacher stood up to and spoke out against Slytherin. He didn't like the stereotype about Slytherin so the smile on his face faded slightly as the scarred teacher talked.

"Hi Katherine, I'm Marie Edwards. I have to say, your grumpy toad is very cute." Marie smiled at the girl but paused in her conversations to cheer for the new Hufflepuffs. She gave each of the new Hufflepuffs a smile as they sat down at the table. One of the first years, Margaret, made Marie laugh with her enthusiasm."Welcome to Hufflepuff! We're glad to have you in our house." She loved the sorting ceremony, but Marie had to admit, she loved the dinner that followed almost just as much. Hogwarts had wonderful food, she only hoped to be able to make food as good one day (but somehow she didn't think she could compete with the Hogwarts' House Elves).

Looking down the tale at the first years she noticed the one a few seat down from her frown slightly during Professor Armundus' speach. Deciding to make it to where the first year wouldn't dislike the teacher she stood and walked to the empty spot beside the boy before plopping back down. "Hello there ickle firstie," she said ruffling his hair slightly. "Names Charlie I'm a sixth year, and I just wanted to let you know that you are directing that frown at our house head," she told the boy.

Kat smile and looked at the girl who was almost as bubbly as herself as she mentioned her toad, "He's only grumpy when he's woken up from his naps and when he's not getting belly rubs..." she giggled and reached up and gently pet Pip with a single finger before she joined in with the applauds as the members were separated.

Keir chuckled to himself as his smile returned " apologies, Keir Lewis Anderson at your services" His head did a small bow before he looked back up with a goofy grin on his face. "I just dislike the way everyone always thinks of Sltherin as 'the bad guys' and 'the tricksters', it's just..." He gave a sigh and his smile slightly faded before returnng back "no matter, today should be enjoyed and im just bringing the mood down."

Threlm let himself be dragged to the entrance ceremony by Elizabeth and sat down next to her. He cheered and did everything that was usual at the ceremony with a smile. He looked at Elizabeth, "I didn't see your sister up there do you know what happened?" Threlm said curiously.

Henry heard Norella, but had not responded for he had heard the names start to be called. They started called the names, and first years walked to their house tables. Finally, his name was called. He looked at Norella one last time before he walked to the hat Slipping it over his head. The hat seemed to speak in his ear and seconds later was calling out His House. “ HUFFLEPUFF” The tables cheered and he took off the hat before scurrying to his table, wanting to be out of the site of everyone. He looked up when Norella’s name was called, and was hoping she would be a Hufflepuff, but she got Ravenclaw. He sat there quietly for a few moment before food appeared, unsure of what to do.


Henry heard some people introducing themselves among the table, but he didn’t pay that much attention. He had been separated from the one person he had been anywhere near comfortable around and thrown into a house where he knew no one. Great, he thought as he looked around at other Hufflepuffs as they introduced themselves. He willed himself to speak, but nothing came out.

Daniel Cheered hearing Gryffindor be called for a girl named Pru, as well as several others. He saw several people surround the first years, and normally he would have been one to do that, but he felt like they were already a bit to crowded. “Welcome to Gryffindor!” He couldn’t help but call. He didn’t care if they knew who had called it or not.

Elizabeth watched her sister join the group of first years and was happy that she was okay. She felt time slow down as her sister took the stool, and was called out to be a gryffindor. She was a little surprised but happy, and proud all the same. She may have loved her house, but if it wasn’t right for her sister than she shouldn’t be in her house. She looked at the new first years and waved at a few, before she sat down and good appeared. She heard the Slytherin head speaking to Charlie, a first year and a few others, as she began to eat. She looked at Threlm when he asked where her sister was. " Pru is a Gryffindor apparently. "

Riley sat at the Ravenclaw table, just watching the sorting. Food appeared and she began to get food on her plate, before turning back to her book and picking at her food.

Threlm watched Pru as she sat down at the Gryffindor table. "So she is. If it is better for her than our house then so be it. But we are still going to have to kick there butts in Quidditch." Threlm laughed and watched Elizabeth's reaction.

" Though i have a feeling my little sister won't be able to play Quidditch. Even if she does, i'm not throwing any games for her. " Elizabeth said as she looked around at the Slytherin team. That was around them.

Threlm smiled, "This should make for an intresting year." Threlm smiled and put some food on his plate. "So what do we do now." Threlm chuckled thinking of the countless pranks that he could do.

Madison sat down at her table, Henry was in Hufflepuff and Norella was I'm Ravenclaw, so the only friends she ever had were in different houses, she hoped that they would still visit her or ask her any questions. She began to eat her food, especially the meat, she loved meat over anything, it was kinda part of her thing. She smiled at everyone at the table who decided to start watching her eat.

Rosetta smiled at Pru's joke, "You caught me. Anyway, welcome" she said hugging Pru. "Feel free to ask me anything. I'm the Gryffindor Seeker. I have never failed to catch the snitch since I was a second year" she bragged, "It's bound to happen sooner or later, so I might was well brag while I can right?" She joked. @ThatGuyWithSouvlaki

Once Olivia had explained Ravenclaw to the new kids she sat down, and looked at her food. The food at Hogwarts was always perfect, and so delicious. Olivia took slow small bites out of her food, she had already begun reading through her textbooks and had already finished most of them, but she still needed to read the history of magic book, which she had been avoiding.

Dawn sat down next to a boy she had seen on the boats, "Hey, I'm Dawn Aspartame" she said sweetly, "What's your name?" She asked looking into his eyes, with her bright periwinkle colored eyes, "I'm in Hufflepuff too. Want to be friends?" She asked, blushing slightly. @Awkwardpotato

Astra sat down near Elizabeth and Threlm, "Hey guys" she said with a smile, she had overheard Elizabeth talking about Quidditch and her sister, "Wow, Rivalry between Gryffindor and Slytherin is going to get deeper now that family is involved" she said. "Anyway how are you guys?"​

Sitting down at his house's table and watching the sorting hat's ceremony Cody begins to wonder what's in store for this year at Hogwarts. As much as he's trying to pay attention to the ceremony and see the new faces of the first years in Gryffindor he can't help but think back about his amazing first year at this marvelous school. He can recall his first year lesson in Defense Against the Dark Arts with Professor Armundus, learning about only the beginning of what's to come, something Cody has been eager for since his first year at Hogwarts ended. After a few moments of spacing out in memory he snaps back to attention, patiently listening and watching everyone.

Excited for a new year at Hogwarts?" She asked, sneaking up behind him, and taking a seat next to him, "Sorry I didn't send you an owl. I believe even owls deserve a vacation, so Bubbles was on total relaxation mode" she explained, her last letter to Cody had been August 7th, before Rosetta and her Family went to Rio, Brazil. "How was your summer vacation?" She said, "Did you remember to get your Hogsmeade permission slip signed?" She asked excited. "Wanna see something cool? I learned how to turn my hair the colors pink and green!" She smiled, she loved learning new tricks to change her appearance. "Wanna see?" She asked @Dude

Hearing Rosetta's voice perked Cody up, she was the first friendly face Cody saw when he first stepped onto Platform Nine and Three Quarters and onto the famous train. She even rode in the same compartment as him, which Cody valued more than she might know. "Hey Rosetta, I'm pretty excited to see what's to come of this year, what about you?" When she apologizes to him he chuckles lightly at her and shakes his head. "No need to apologize to me, I actually let Dude go out and explore myself this vacation. He seemed to enjoy it. How was Rio? Heard it's pretty amazing down there." He replies, curious of her journey, wondering if she saw any foreign magic. Upon Rosetta asking about the permission slip and watching her demonstration upon her changing her appearance Cody nods his head to both, eager to see how far she's advanced since he's last seen her. She really is awesome, he thinks while watching her perform, genuinely glad to be back to school.

She was finally happy once more, all her friends were back. Once the sorting was finished she ran over and literally tackled Rosetta, though, not nearly with enough strength to knock her off her feet., "Miss me?"

Amongst the chattering Slytherins, Scipio was the only one that had kept quiet so far, being too engrossed in reading "Advanced Potion Making" by Libatius Borage. Leave it to Slytherin's Quidditch Captain to be studying even before the year officially started.

Marie saw a first year looking particularly down. With a smile at Katherine and a quick, "I'll be right back", she moved towards the first years and asked a second year to move down so that she could sit near the new crowd of Hufflelpuffs, and particularly, next to the downcast looking boy. She looked down at him and spoke softly, barely being able to be heard over the chatter around the Great Hall, "Hello. I'm Marie. It's nice to meet you." She looked at him with a smile. She needed to speak with the first years eventually, but she couldn't stand by the boy looking so sad so she moved to talk to him. Unfortunately, sometimes they got kids who didn't like where they were sorted. Hopefully, she could help the boy at least feel a bit better.

Katherine smiled as she saw her best friend and secret crush once more. Her arms firmly wrapped around the girl's body in a close embrace as Katherine had obviously missed her. However, the embrace was soon broken when Rosetta did what she usually did and went to make sure everyone felt like they'd fit in and that they'd be okay. Walking, and standing behind her; Katherine would gently welcome and greet the first years to their new home for the summer and the second years back to such an amazing school to learn more of a unique world that most were blind to.

As Professor Armundus stood from his table, seeing no one took any of his words into consideration; he began to walk to the front podium once more and looked at the Head Mistress/Master, "I think it about time we moved the first years to their Common rooms, The second through seventh years need to begin to find their classes..." He didn't even wait long enough for a reply before walking past the podium and sat in his personal seat and waited to see if said action would take place. Had it, he'd quietly stand and much like a ghost in the darkest of shadows; He'd make his way towards his classroom and begin to prep the boggart cabinet.

Cody stood up and walked quietly behind Katherine and Rosetta as they went to the first years to greet them. He joined in the greeting, feeling it was only right to help out the first years transition to this school. After a few moments of greetings he hears Professor Armundus mention the classes which causes Cody to frantically search his robe for the schedule. "Oh man, I misplaced the schedule..do one of you two happen to have one I can look at?" He asks after giving up his search, it would not be well for him to miss his first class of this year.

Elizabeth looked at Threlm as he said that it should make for an interesting year. “ Every year is an intersting year around here. “ She said as he asked her what they should do now. “ We should eat. That’s what we should do. “ She said as she got food onto her plate as the head girl sat down next to them.


“ Hey Astra. “ She said with a smile as she mentioned the Gryffindor And Slytherin Rivarly. “ There’s a rivalry going on??” She asked with fake amazement. She often forgot there was on with so many of her friends being spread out among the houses. She only ever seemed to remember it when it was brought up. “ I’m good. YOurself?” She asked Astra.


Elizabeth noticed Scipio a little ways down the table reading while he ate. “ Yo, Scipio if you’re not careful people will mistake you for that one ravenclaw who’s always reading.” She joked.

Henry looked up to see a girl next to him. She spoke introducing herself as Dawn. “ Henry M-McCoy. “ he stuttered out trying not to freak out inside. “ I noticed. W-we’re both in H-hufflep-puff. “ he stuttered as she asked to be friends. “ Sure. “ He said as another, older student came up to him. She introduced herself as Marie. “ H-henry. Pleasure. “ He said as he looked up at her. He saw a girl behind Marie and nodded to her, hoping he didn’t seem rude due to his nerves.

"Hi, Henry." Marie gave him a smile again before turning to the whole group of first years. "So, first years! I'm the prefect of Hufflepuff, Marie!" Marie paused to grab a pastry to munch on before continuing. "So basically, I'm here to help you out if you need anything. So if you have any questions, concerns, want to talk to someone I'm here. I'm also here to help, so if any trouble arises grab me if I'm close by or the nearest teacher." She gave them a wink, "But that doesn't happen much with our house. Unlike some of my friends in Gryffindor. But first before we get into anything else, can you all introduce yourselves?"

Margret stepped up, a big smile on her face that never seemed to waver in the least. "Of course! I'm Margret Kirkland. I'm 12 years old and I'm from the United States of America, and I can't wait to start off the school year with you all!" she introduced herself, looking at all of the other Hufflepuffs and hoping that she would get along and even become friends with all of them.

Katherine heard Cody struggle to find his schedule, in response, she pulled out her own and began to go over it quickly before she thankfully realized Cody, Rosetta, and herself all had the same classes. Smiling softly, she'd place her paper on the table before pulling her wand from her sleeve and with a simple flick of her wrist and the following incantation, "Gimino." the paper would begin to shake violently before a second one suddenly popped out of the original.


Slipping her wand back into her sleeve she'd smile and handed Cody the new copy of their schedule, "This time, don't loose it." a soft giggle came from her as she looked back to the boy that Rosetta was still talking too.
