Threlm laughed and nodded taking a bite from his plate in a very trained looking manner. "If not a nerd then what can I consider you Captain?" Threlm chuckled with a wink before taking another bite. And waiting for his reaction.

"A studious person," Scipio replied curtly, sending Threlm a playful glare before turning his attention back to his book. He'd occasionally reach out for his spoon to scoop up a humble amount of food from his plate before shoving it in his mouth, eyes never leaving the book as he fed himself.

"Oh, thanks! I'll have to keep that spell in mind." Looking over their schedule Cody gets more eager by the moment, imagining the spells, creatures, and potions that could possibly be in store for this year. Should be a good year, he thinks while rolling up his new copy of their schedule, believing it to be a good idea to see how his Owl is doing Cody walks past everyone, giving a casual wave. "I'll see you guys later, I'm going to go to the Owlery." Leaving the hall and making his way to where the Owlery is Cody is fascinated by everything and everyone in sight on his trek. After a few minutes of trying to recall how to navigate to it he eventually finds the fourth-floor corridor which brings him up to it.

"It's nice to meet you Margaret! That's pretty awesome you coming here as an American, that's really cool." Marie averted her attention as she filled her plate and pour some tea into her goblet. Pumpkin juice was usually a bit much for her. "Where are you from Henry?" Marie gave the boy an encouraging smile, she hopped the first years would get along well, it always helped to get along with your year-mates.

Leo chuckled at all the excitement going on at the Gryffindor table. Everyone was pretty welcoming to the first years, something Leo was happy to see. However, the celebration would be over soon, and the 2nd-7th years could relax while the 1st years were being shown to their respective common rooms. This was the first night, so Leo was happy with catching up with some old friends before going to bed. But, he knew that tomorrow is when they would start classes, and he'd have to be ready for the challenge of his fifth year. On top of that, he was kind of hoping to try out for the Quidditch team this year, so he'd have to worry about that too. To anyone else, it would seem stressful, but Leo actually has it down. But to distract himself for now, he glanced around the table, his eyes being locked on a 2nd year girl, one he's pretty sure he saw on the train. He think he knew her name, Maddy, or Madison or something. Whatever, she seemed to meat she was eating a lot, it actually made Leo laugh. "Wish I could eat like that." He muttered to himself.

Maddie had been so lost in the delicious flavor of the meat, she forgot to pace herself. She heard a mumble from a fifth year she had seen, "Oh umm, hey. Sorry" she said embarrassed that she had been noticed eating like a psycho. She was also extremely nervous, she hid the bottom half of her face with her hoodies sleeves. @PartyHat03

Rosetta kept quiet she had missed both her Besties, Cody and Katherine. She was starving, so she took a few bites of her food while still listening to their conversation. "See you later Cody!" She called out as her friend mentioned he was going to the owlery. Then Katherine came back over saying she wanted to talk in private, "Sure" she said in her sweet upbeat time like always, "is something wrong? " she asked. @Runakei @Dude

Astra replied, "I'm doing very well actually. Guys, I'm head girl! How cool is that?!" She asked trying to contain get excitement. She lived up her whole life for this huge accomplishment. "Since I no longer have to fully stress out over my record. I hope you guys don't mind that I'm trying out for the Quidditch team once again. I can't believe I stopped playing since the Fifth year. I use to be a pretty great chaser, and I hear there is room on the team" she said, hoping to excite her friends. @Slytherins

Entering the Owlery, Cody gets instantly bombarded by his owl, Dude. Laughing and enjoying the routinely greeting Cody pets his owl, bringing him out of the Owlery down to the outside of the school. Dude enjoyed soaring around the skies by Cody as much as he enjoyed his owl chilling with him, so off his owl went above him. Sticking by the door to the school Cody sits down, watching this impressive scene go by.

When she had Rosetta to herself, her face turned a deep red. Shaking her head in response to her friends concern as to whether something was wrong, "N-No... Nothing is wrong... I- Actually... It's better than it is bad..." reaching down, she straightened her skirt before looking to Rosetta being sure to lock eyes, "S-So. Umm... I've been meaning to ask you if you'd like to g-go out with me" her face was blood red and she felt light headed awaiting her friends answer. It was a sudden question, and Katherine was putting her on the spot, but, she really hoped Rosetta was okay with that.

Having finished her food a while ago Charlie surveyed the table in search of her friends. Spotting the capitan with his nose in a book she stood and walked toward him. Noticing Elizabeth and Threlm close by she smiled. "Hey guys," she started, "I got myself separated again," she said a small giggle playing at her lips.


Waving a younger student to the side she sat down next to Scipio. Reaching into her robe pocket she pulled out a slip of paper. Folding it into a frog she enchanted it to hop into the boys book covering the words he was trying to read.

Henry looked at Marie as she said hi to him. He nodded to her as she turned to everyone Else and spoke to the other first years. He nodded as she said she was there to help, and if they were in trouble they could come get her or the nearest teacher. Than Marie asked everyone to introduce themselves, and he looked down as a girl stood up and said her name was Margret and she was from the United States. He had never been there, but had been hoping to visit after his years at Hogwarts were over. He heard Marie respond to Margret before doing something with her food. She than asked where he was from and he slowly looked up meeting her smile there. “ I’m from Liverpool. “ He said. There wasn’t much more to say, he didn’t think so at least, but he didn’t have to speak anymore for Dawn introduced herself. He took a deep breath glad the attention was off of him.

Elizabeth looked at Scipio as he responded, telling her not to group him with the nerds. “ Well you do go outside, but who reads at the feast?? “ She asked with a raised eyebrow waiting from an answer from him. She simply smiled when he stuck his tongue out at her. She looked at Threlm as he asked what they could consider their captain as she took a drink of her pumpkin juice


“ A studious person?” She asked with a raised eyebrow. “ What kind of person uses the word studious to describe themself?” SHe asked with a raised eyebrow.


She smiled at Charlie as she walked towards them. “ Yeah i noticed. You disappeared a while back. “ She said. “ Good to have you back. “ She said with a smile.

Professor Witten looked at the crowd of students as they started to finish eating and the conversations slowed. She stood and walked to the podium.


“ Settle down please. “ She said looking at the group of students as they got quieter. “ Thank you. “ She said with a smile.


“ Welcome. “ She said. “ Welcome to a new and wonderful year of learning that we have ahead of us. “ She smiled looking between the four tables.


“ I just have a few quick rules before we began, that some of you may not know, or may need reminding of. “ She said looking at a few members of the Slytherin team, knowing they were a pranksters.


“ First off, No going into the forbidden Forest. There is a reason why it’s called the forbidden forest. It’s forbidden. “ She said looking around. “ Two, The only time any first years should be on a broom is during their flying lessons. “ She said glancing at many of the first years.


“ Those who are a third year and above may go to Hogsmeade if they have the correct forums signed, which those can be returned to your head of house.”


“ Quidditch Captain and teams, remember you are responsible for your own practices, and must book the pitch in order to use it. “


“ Please take note that the kitchens are off limits to anyone wishing to enter. “ She said looking at a few students, specifically Hufflepuffs, who had been known for sneaking into the kitchens.


“Professor Armundus would like me to remind you that pranks of any kind, especially from those in his own house, are not welcome and will be punished accordingly. “ She said glancing once more at the Slytherin table


“ Please remember that if any of you have a question, you can ask me, any teacher, or a prefect. Head Boy and Head Girl will also be willing to answer your questions. “ She said with a smile.


“ Well i think that about covers everything i thought of. A few final words of Advice for you all. Don’t forget that though you may be divided by house, we are all friends here. “ She said looking among the tables.


“ Now Prefects will you please lead your houses, specifically the first years, to your common rooms and show them their dormitories. “ SHe said. “ Heads of Houses, if you’d like to go up and introduce yourself to your first years and mention a few extra rules, now would be the time. “ She said looking at the student body.


“ Goodnight. “ She said as she went back to her seat.

Threlm smiled at Elizabeth's comment, "A nerd that denys he is a nerd calls himself a 'studious' person." Threlm laughed and then everyone was told to quite down threlm listened to the familiar rules with a wide grin thinking about how happy he was to finally be back and then waited for Slytherin's prefect and head of house to introduce themselves again and to take them to their dorms.

"Okay first years, gather around me. We'll wait a minute for the crowd to die down before we actually start off." Marie said standing up, she smiled at everyone. The Hufflepuff common room was pretty close to the Great Hall so she was going to wait so there wasn't a huge crowd all heading to the same place. Marie also wondered how much they enforced the kitchen rule, because she was known to skip meals if she was really into a project. Speaking of projects she needed to clear her workroom usage with Professor Witten. She shook her head and looked around at the first years around her. "Okay guys, so to start off with my bit, so first off, any questions about anything?"

After Professor Witten explained the rules of the school and dismissed everyone, Margret got up with the other first year kids and gathered around Marie, who seemed to be the oldest Hufflepuff. "Okay guys, so to start off with my bit, so first off, any questions about anything?" she asked, making sure everyone was informed about everything and comfortable at the school, which Margret was thankful for. "What is the common room like?" Margret asked, curious about what it was.

Noticing that Professor Witten had looked directly at her group of friends not once but twice when she mentioned pranks she laughed a bit. Oh heavens if her parents knew of her school reputation she would be in a great deal of trouble. "Hey mates I have a feeling we are being singled out," she said referring to the many prank comments of the night.

Pru eat and chatted with some of her fellow students, she was surprised how Griffindors most were indifferent to her height and we're quite friendly. The food was delicious and it seemed to just keep on coming without end. Soon the headmistress began to speak with news and rules and from than she was dismissed. When she stood she looked around for Margret wondering how she was doing. She seemed happy in her own house and than Pru''s mind went to Abigail wondering how she was doing and what house would be in.

Scipio really did enjoy his time spent reading the textbook, until a certain slimy creature hopped onto his book and covered most of the words, undeniably dirtying his textbook in the process. Rather than exclaiming out in shock, Scipio shot his hand out in immediately to grab the frog and threw it across the table, far away from him.


"Bloody hell!" He shot Charlie a glare before hissing out "Bennett! Are you trying to dispose of me by giving me a heart attack twice in a day?"


He wasn't oblivious to what their Head of House had said, and he was certain that Professor Witten would address the same thing during her speech.


"It's only natural that Slytherin gets singled out, because of a certain somebody who keeps pranking me." He huffed out in despair. Why was he the person of interest for pranks?

Katherine pouted as she was forced to part ways from Rosetta before she was able to get an answer, however, before she left, Kat leaned forward and placed a peck on the girls cheek before hugging her tightly. "I'll see you tomorrow!" and with that, she was forced to follow the rest of the students towards her Common room where she would immediately find herself plopping in her bed after getting undressed and redressed in her pajamas.

Upon hearing the fellow professor speak out towards all the students and declare it time to return to their Common rooms, Professor Armundus silently lead all Slytherin's towards the Dungeon - his ears like that of a bat, he'd throw a paralysis spell at any of the students who dared attempt to sneak off before they reached the common room. Once arrived, he locked the door behind them with a magical charm and quickly made his way to his private quarters.

"Good question, it's pretty homey. There's huge fireplace, really comfy seating, and kinda reminds me of hobbit hole, if anyone has ever read Tolkien, which I actually highly suggest, the rest you guys can see for yourself! So let's get started walking." Marie turned and made her way out of the significantly less crowded Great Hall, she made sure that the first years were close behind her. "Okay, so if you have any questions while we're walking, just tell me. So to get the common room we only use a set of staircases that don't move, going down a level to the kitchens. Now the grand staircase, which is actually a bunch of stairs, will move, so be careful on them and until you get used to them I'd go in groups. Also, be careful of disappearing steps, that only almost always gets me, which is why you really need to be careful on them." Marie lead them down a side hallway and was approaching the common, getting more and more excited as they approached. They walked down the set of, thankfully, stable stairs down into the area that held storage rooms and the kitchen.


"Now, as Professor Witten says, we aren't allowed in the kitchens. Unofficially, don't get caught, also don't be afraid to bring me some back. Officially, I will not condone you sneaking about to get food." She glanced at the first years to give them a grin, "Also, officially, to spell it out you aren't allow to tickle that pear in the picture right there, because that will lead you to the off-limits kitchen. I should also note that the last room down this hallway is where I usually am I use it was a workroom of sorts, if you need me I'm likely there, but knock first!" The hallway Marie was leading them down was actually an L shape, with the kitchens at the beginning and many of the storage rooms around the bend. Then her workshop down at the end of the hallway. She needed to re-set up after getting permission, but usually there were wards, simple but strong, so most student couldn't get in unless she opened to door or was with them. She stopped at the corner of the L shape where a doorway was almost in darkness but was covered with shimmering gold and black curtains, they swayed gently as if there was a draft and around it smelled slightly of baking and plants, Marie flicked her wand out of her arm holster and did a quick lumos to show them the doorway more clearly. "This is our common room door! Now, to get in you have to say the password, which is 'Practical badger', but the password changes but we always tell people when it does change. If you can't get in, you can find our head of house or me and we'll get you." Marie turned to face the doorway and said, "Practical badger", and the curtains gently swayed open a little and she started inside the common room.

Kat walked along with all the first year students towards their common room, knowing that they would be confused and wanting to ask several questions and she didn't want them bombarding their House Head. However, as none seemed to question much; they began to find themselves within the realm of the HufflePuff Common room. Happy, Kat quickly stripped from her clothing and put on her nightgown that was literally a tunic that went to her knees. Almost immediately, she flopped on her bed and groaned happily, "Mmmm, So comfy!" though, as she spoke; most of it would be unrecognizable due to her muffled voice as her face burrowed into her pillow before she spoke.

Margret, after everyone walked into the Hufflepuff common room, put her stuff down on one of the empty beds and, after she put her stuff away in a chest beside her bed, did the same as Katherine and changed into her pajamas. She came out of the bathroom wearing a long sleeved purple shirt and long darker purple pants that went down to her toes, and went back to her bed and took out her cat and a novel to read. Mac and Cheese jumped obto the bed and onto her lap, snuggled up into a ball, and fell asleep, looking adorable as he did so.

"So, what do you think of it so far?" Asked Katherine as Margret was reading a new chapter. "Oh my gosh, it's amazing!" She replied as she put her bookmark onto her half-read page and put her book down onto her nightstand. "I still can't believe I'm actually here at a school for the magical arts! It all seems like a dream that I never want to wake up from." She said with a large and goofy smile, becoming giddy from the thought of being at Hogwarts. "How about you?" She asked, as she started to pet her cat on his head and behind his ears that kept moving towards the sounds of the conversations the others were having as they got ready to go to bed.

Kat smiled at the girls remark about her experiance thus far before asking about her own, "It is amazing, between learning that I am a Witch, Hogwarts also saved me from being isolated in a muggle world where I would just fade into nothing without ever learning my true potential." she reached under her bed and pulled out The Tales of Beedle the Bard as she waited for the girls response.
