"Um yeah, they're my brothers surprised you don't know of them," Nick said placing his backpack on the car floor. Hearing Jackson's thoughts he waits for the guy to voice them before speaking "No I said I would go get a drink with you and that's what I intend to do." Smiling kindly he leans back into the car seat, "so what place do you have in mind that allows teens to drink?" He asked turning to face Jackson placing with a loose thread on his shirt.

Jack looks with a smirk “it’s called fake I.D.” Then he has a somewhat quizzical grin

you don’t have one, don’t you

He then chuckles. Looks like I’m actually doing this... is this what it’s like to have friends he chuckles at his own thought. He sounds like some depressed emo kid and he almost finds it hysterical. He then sighs

I have an in at a place.” He then pulls a right on the road they are on, although a bit violently. The car skids and drifts the turn, albeit a bit clumsily, but the are soon driving normaly. After a while they reach the some establishment. He parks in a spot. He then pulls the center console out. It has a knife in it, as well as various receipts, lighters, and I.D.S. If he was paying close attention they’d see what looks like a grip of some sort of fire arm under it all. After fumbling through a bunch of fake I.D.s he grabs one and replaces it in the pocket.

You can refer to me as Andrew Nelson.”

He says in a light chuckle. He then thumbs around a few before finding one that somewhat looks like nick.

Hello there, Richard Moore. Or do you like to be called dick

He says sarcastically, he outstretches the ID To nick,

You better be a good liar, otherwise you gonna owe me

Blushing Nick shook his head, "No, I don't have a fake I.D." technically he did have a 'fake' I.D considering he was 121 years old but Jackson didn't need to know that, in fact, it was best he didn't. Listening to his thoughts he glanced up promising himself that he would remain the guys' friend no matter what "even when he tries to kill you?" his inner voice asked. Ignoring it he quickly held on to the car handle as they swerved unexpectedly before driving normally again. "And I thought my driving was bad" he mumbled to himself, sitting properly again.

Glancing into the center console he shifted uncomfortably from being too close to the holy water knives and whatever else was in there. He did hear to moving of something heavy which could only be a gun of some kind. Glancing up he grimaced more than smiled at the idea of his name being Dick "uh no Richard is just fine Andrew" he said taking the I.D. from his hand. He just needed that console closed so he could breathe properly.

"I've never drunk before," he said to the guy looking at the I.D, "hmm, it does look like me a little maybe he'll allow me to keep it". Turning it around several times it looked real enough, he couldn't wait to use it at clubs and other places.

Jack chuckles briefly, seeing he is tense. He says nothing. He forgets that some of his arsenal exists in his car.

You’ve never drunk before” he he says with a smirk. He mutters under his breath “Süß

He climbs out of the car, lights another cigarette and strides in. In all of his five foot three inches, it was all fake swagger. He showed the bouncer his I.D. The bouncer is a tall, broad shoulder woman. Her hair is braided and she has a german flag pin.

he’s with me” he says to the bouncer in german

Of course, we’ll let him in” she says.

Jack motions to nikoli to come with him.

Climbing after him Nick walks quickly to the side of Jackson, for someone so small Jackson could obviously hold his own. He carried himself with confidence and swagger that would get him anything he wanted. "Um yeah I'm with him", he said to the woman smiling at her as walked in "Yeah I haven't drunk before, what of it? My parents are ridiculously strict so I don't do much" he grumbled looking around the place.

Jack has a cold stare for half a second. Parents he cstarts to smell blood. But it doesn’t exist he sees a brief flash of blood splattering on a white wall before he slaps back into reality. He starts to feel a bit queasy, but he presses on. The bar itself is musty, poorly lit. It’s patrons vary. You can tell this bar has a somewhat german theme. From the decor to the flags He locates them a place at the bar. A middle aged man approaches jack

What would you like jackson” he says in german.

I’ll take the usual, vodka. give my friend a shot of whatever he wants.” He reply’s in german “also tell Nicky I say hi. He hasn’t responded to any of my messages and I worry that his german boyfriend has kidnapped him”

They are married now. Or should I say soon” the bartender says in german

And I’m not invited. Riveting” jack reply sounds apethetic

They’re not doing anything fancy. Erik just wants the papers to be signed.”

Erik is a smart man. Can see why Nicky chose him” he smirks. The bartender leaves to grab their drinks

In English jack says to nickoli “that’s an old...friend... of mine. His name is Kristopher.my..uh... adoptive cousins husband owns the place so I get discounts on drinks.... and the benefit of being servered while being underaged” he laughs. He feels a bit lightheaded. He hears a scream. But only in his head.

I will be back” he walks to the bathroom and immediately starts hevaing up again. This time there are tears from his slight relapse. In a rage he just starts punching the floor. He must’ve been there for five minutes. He composes himself and washes his mouth out. He flushes the toilet and takes more of his meds and returns. He is oblivious to his bruised knuckles, or one of the ones that was just split.

He says nothing and takes his place at the table..

Everything seemed to tilt dizzyingly quickly; they were on a knife edge, so to speak, waiting for the first move. At least nobody seemed to notice Evie muttering under her breath to herself, looking rather distant, though really that was the last of her worries. The mention of bodies, the threat of knives, and the sight of the new girl's sharp teeth made her feel sick with fear. She was glad that Jackson left, although she worried about the boy that went with him. She barely even registered him speaking to her.

Evie was usually the person who made peace, usually the one that told everyone to calm down, but when the knife had been pulled out, she had been frozen. Even though it was Isabella being threatened, not her, the fear had been instinctual.

The two other girls started talking about going to class, as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened. God... Was she hallucinating now too? She murmured the Lord's Prayer quietly, making the sign of the cross to ward off evil. This parking lot seemed far too full of evil, of danger, and suddenly she couldn't bear it any longer. Evie felt like she drowning, as she tried to control her breathing and ran a hand through her hair. For a moment, she wondered if she might have a panic attack right here, right now but her body seemed to kick into default mode and carry on without her.

After taking one last drag, she dropped her cigarette on the ground and stamped it out. She must been imagining things, working herself up. She'd recently had a change of meds, which was probably the reason she'd seen the girl's fangs. However, the knife seemed real enough. She should've checked the front door again this morning. Maybe then none of this would have happened.

She blinked away her dizziness and forced herself to choke out words, "I need to get out of this place, it's doing stuff to my head. Plus, I'm going to be late to English at this rate. Come on."

She even managed a smile, as bright as it was fake. Evie turned on her heel and walked into school, wrapping her arms around herself as she was trying to hold herself together. As she passed inside, she looked back at the parking lot and realised it would be difficult to step foot there again. Once something bad happened, the area it happened was contaminated and she couldn't step foot there again- not without looking like a crazy person.

That in mind, Evie wondered what else had been happening out there. There had been conflict, yes, but something else seemed to be underlying it. Something else had been happening. Briefly, she wondered about gangs and whether she had just been caught in the middle of something she wasn't meant to see. But only Jackson really seemed like the type that would be caught up in a gang- and Isabella seemed to be new here. She shook her head and as she headed to English, trying to put the whole thing out of her mind. As she did, she couldn't resist the urge to tap each locker she passed twice with her index finger. Maybe if she did it right, nothing bad would happen to her.

Rodrick had just woken up and walked into the kitchen when his brother looked at him “did you do that?” he asked without any actual belief in his voice as he pointed at the TV screen “of course I did, I am so insane I couldn’t help myself” Rodrick said in a nonchalant tone that was still leaking with sarcasm before adding an eye roll to additionally express the ridiculousness of the accusation.

Just to see what his brother was actually talking about he listened to the full report and sighed. If he was unlucky enough Eric would insist they move out of town because of this. He took a blood bag and sat opposite his brother.

The massacre must have happened after they had left the preserve last night since he hadn’t smelled anything off let alone death or human blood, and there must have been lots and lots of blood. It would have been impossible for them to miss it, Rodrick thought as he sipped his breakfast.

“I think it were either a bunch of hunters that got in over their head or a group of supernaturals fought another one and lost. In either case, I won't go on that trip and you need to be extra careful around town. If things get worse we move, even if I have to tranque you and throw you into the back of my car to get you out of here” said Eric and Rodrick just rolled his eyes before adding "you're a caveman, you know that?". But knew Eric wasn’t joking. He would indeed use special tranquilizers if he had to.

Rodrick finished his breakfast, got ready and walked towards the school. He wasn’t feeling like sitting in on the first class after the news that morning and so instead walked to a cafe to drink some coffee and think about how he could convince Eric not to move in case things got worse, and if he had learned anything in his long life it was that things always got worse before they got better.

Jae's spidey-senses had been tingling ever since he'd step foot in Cleora. It seemed like almost everywhere he went there was a hit on his inner "supernatural GPS". Going to see a movie? Ping! Window-shopping at the mall? Ping! Driving past a goddamn Sheetz? Pa-Ping. They were everywhere and Jae had been on edge since his Sunday morning arrival. This morning's broadcast didn't make him feel any better either.

"Easy pickings around here, huh? Probably because they're overpopulating the place." His older brother Deok-su had laughed as the news buzzed in through his car radio. Jae didn't say anything. He felt nauseous at the idea of killing children: supernatural or not. When Deok-su asked what got him so quiet, Jae just blamed it on breakfast.

And if the town was bad, wow was school even worse. Just walking through the parking lot was a nightmare. Almost every student who ducked out of their cars, rushed to catch-up with friends, or were hitting one last joint before first period were raising the hairs on Jae's skin: ping ping pING PING PING ping ping. Jae looked over his brother's expression as they past through the front doors: calm and cool as ever. He wondered if Deok-su just hadn't noticed the overwhelming supernatural student body or if he was just ignoring it for the sake of looking cool on the first day.

"I gotta' head to the office to fix my schedule, but text me if any of the freaks here try and pull anything. Okay?" Deok-su whispers, gripping Jae by his wrist just to absolutely make sure he was listening.
"네 엄마. (Yes, mom.)" Jae rolls his eyes; the grip on his wrist tightens.
"No funny games, Jae. I mean it." Deok-su grunts, playfully punching his brother's arm as he begins heading down the hall.
"Text. Me." He calls ones more time. Jae shoots him some finger guns, getting an embarrassed groan out of his brother, before he disappeared around a corner.

Well, here he is then. Alone in the middle of his new high school. Jae feels the hairs stand up on his arms again and this time it has nothing to do with the monsters surrounding him. He pulls out his schedule, smoothing out the wrinkles to see his first class: Honor's English. Cool. Jae likes English. He, like, reads books and stuff.
"Good morning class. My name's Jae." He rehearses to himself quietly, turning in circles to see which hall to take.
"You know, like Jay Gatsby? From the F. Scott Fitzgerald classic? Let's talk about the death of the American dream together."

On his third turn, Jae was starting to realize that he really had no idea where he was going. He was about to check the time on his phone, but flinched as the morning bell rang. Students started pouring in from all sides, pushing and moving there way around him: ping ping ping. Thoughts of slaying werewolves and vampires floated away and were replaced with something arguably much more horrific: being the new kid.

Annie watched as Evie walked ahead of them and felt something in her sink, she had been so wrapped up in preparing for a fight she didn't even consider what it must be like to an outsider. She herself was try to calm her breathing and heartbeat as she slowly walked with Isabelle, the urge to ask if she was alright died in her throat. Annie already knew Isabelle wasn't alright and know she was positive that Isabelle was a vampire, there was no ignoring that fact any longer. Of course she would never tell anyone but it did lead to some new problems, one being that now Isabelle probably knew her secret as well which meant Annie will have lost two friends and gained a potential enemy. Looking over to Isabelle she gave a final smile, "I'll see you later? Take care." She hoped she would see her again and that they could still be friends but she was worried now.

With that Annie heard the bell ring and scurried to her locker where she grabbed the necessary books, however when she closed it and turned around she saw a boy whom she assumed to be her age looking around lost. Hope sputtered into her heart and she went to him, "hello couldn't help but notice you look a bit lost. I completely understand, this place is a maze. Where are you trying to go?"

Jae's sensors were going wild: this school was full to the brim with supernaturals! The hair on the back of his neck stood on end, he felt his skin prickle with goosebumps, and a chill ran down his spine. This was total sensory over-load. So maybe he might have looked just a little crazy jumping at the sound of a voice behind him.

When he turned to see who it was, he half-expected it to be a werewolf or a vampire or a goblin or...something. But instead it was just a girl, around his age, with a textbook in hand and smiling politely. It was hard to tell with everyone else running around them, but she wasn't setting off any alarms so far.

"Oh, yeah, thanks. You're like totally rescuing me right now." He let out an embarrassed laugh, rubbing the hairs on the back of his neck.
"Uhm, I'm heading to Honors English in room 240B. Any idea where that is?"

Nickoli felt a switch in Jackson's attitude but said nothing of it, taking a seat at the bar, "Um I'll have a vodka too I guess?" he responded in German. For a second he thought they were talking about him "Damn Annie, you're getting me used to being called Nicky" not wanting to Eavesdrop on their conversation he stared at the wall behind the old man. Turning to face Jackson when the old guy left, "You're lucky if a family of mine had a bar I would not leave", he said before being hit with the sounds of screaming. Gasping he barely hears what Jackson says before leaving.

Able to breathe now that the screams have stopped, Nick holds onto the bar stool listening to the sound of Jackson's heaving biting down on his lips, he wanted to get up and go help him but doubted that Jackson would appreciate that. The screams had been horrible, considering he only heard part of memory. He couldn't imagine what Jackson was going through, the memories seemed fresh almost like they happened yesterday. He smells Jackson before he sees him, the blood tickling his nose. Luckily he was used to it, he smiled slightly at Jack not saying anything about the bruises on his hand, or the fact that he was bleeding.

Jack comes back, his mood shifting to an almost feigned interest

I didn’t know you spoke german.” He says.

This man can do anything albeit. He chuckles to him self. He notices the fact that one of his knuckles was cut. It’s not bleeding profusely but it’s just a bit. He wipes it on his pants and calls it good.

I gave you both two shots. Looks like you need it” Kris says in german. he also hands him a bandaid an a napkin.

Danke” jack reply’s. He looks at Nickoli dead in the eye

You’d stay here forever you say.” He smirks and takes a quick shot. His eyes look hazy and his smile is Devious. He down his second shot and taps the table twice. Kristen comes back

Give us the Jackson special” he says in german

Kris nods goes back. He brings out two bottles, one whisky, the other vodka. And a tray of shot glasses

Enjoy.” Kris says with a blank stare and returns to his duties to the other patrons.

Now. It’s just pick and choose” he pours a bunch of miscellaneous shot soft whisky and vodka. He downs another one. His normaly pale skin has a flush of pink.

Your turn” he says with a drunken smile. Gesturing to the tray and the first two shots.

Not saying anything about it, glad Kris arrived with a bandage, but not so happy about the alcohol. Vampires couldn't get drunk right...?

Taking his shot, the smell tickling his nose. Grimacing he quickly chugged it down gagging at the taste. "Uh yeah, I said I would stay here family owned the place", he said coughing slightly. He didn't like the look in Jackson's eyes, and Jackson special did not sound like something he wanted to be doing. "I don't think Kris would appreciate me staying at his club forever."

“You know..” he hiccups. He feels his thoughts being clouded by the alcohol.
“You don’t have to drink all of this.” He points to the tray before pouring some more vodka into his shot
“Last one” he takes his last one. He set shot glass onto the table.
“Or any at all...” he says. He looks at nicks blue eyes. Or maybe green. He has a drunken smile on his face. One could say it’s the first emotion -other than anger- he has shown all day.
He then looks at nicks hair.

Annie almost felt bad for making the boy jump but it was overshadowed by a giggle , "sorry, didn't mean to sneak up on you." She noted the way he gave her a quick glance over and took pity on him, it was hard being the new kid in any scenario but in this school it was even harder. When he revealed where he was going her smile brightened, "yeah, that's my next class. I'll walk you over, we're on Beowulf and other classic epics."

The boy seemed really nice to Annie and she felt the stress from earlier slowly slide away, "I'm Annie by the way, or well Ana-Maria Desmarais if you want to get all formal, but please don't. Being Formal always makes my head spin."

"Ooh, 'Fate will unwind as it must!'" Jae smiles, he had read Beowulf last year for his class back in England. It was a basic "hero slays the monster" sort of story, but it was a fun read from what he can remember. The book report after it, however, was not so fun. Turns out slaying English papers is way harder than slaying monsters.

"It's nice to meet you, Annie. And no worries, I'm the least formal guy in town." He laughs, walking in stride with her as they head to the classroom. He was lucky to have met Annie on the first day. They weren't friends by any stretch of the word, at least not yet, but Jae was already comforted by her friendly presence. At least she wasn't sucking his blood or eating his face.

"I'm Jae-sung, but everyone just calls me Jae. My family just moved from London to Cleora this weekend. We unpacked everything yesterday, so I guess the realization that I'm the new guy just hadn't sunken in until now..."

The engine of a Harley loudly purred down the streets of Cleora as Chris finally arrived into what he came to think of as a mysterious town. Ever since the first time he had stepped foot into Cleora he could feel something was different about it.

It had been as if every second or third person barely, if at all, smelled human yet they didn’t smell like his kind either. Sure Chris’ nose wasn’t as sharp in his human form as it was in an animal form but he could still pick up the distinctive scent of a predator, they smelled spicy, dark and dangerous. A mix he always found interesting.

Chris drove up to a restaurant that looked like it would have steak and fries, parked his Harley and walked inside.

The scents of fried food, meat and hunger hit his senses like a punch to the nose as he stepped inside. Booths lined the sides and a large counter stood in the middle with a chef that looked like he would fit in better as the head of a biker gang than a cook. Many tribal tattoos lined his arms and one even snaked its way up his neck. The man had a partially shaved head and a small thin braid falling over his shoulder reaching from the back of his head.

Chris felt right at home, walking up to the counter he sat down and placed his order, which made the man cooking the delicious smelling food frown “will you be able to eat all that? I hate people leaving leftovers. I swear sometimes I want to smack them with a wet and dirty dish towel” the man said and Chris chuckled “wouldn’t want that to happen” he said and then added, “don’t worry, no leftovers from me”.

The man grunted and grumbled “hope so” under his breath before he handed Chris a beer and then went to work on his order.

Checking the time, he should still be able to make it to the end of first period, all he needed to do was make sure Jackson made it to his room safely and didn't do anything that would get him killed. Although, as he turned to look at the guy, it would most likely get people around him killed. Just hanging out with him for a couple of hours and he could already tell the guy was extremely stubborn. Waiting by the stop sign so Jackson could tell him where to turn.

Evie's morning had been nothing short of ordinary, moving from class to class and falling into the routine. Towards the end of the morning, the incident that had occured before first period had settled firmly in the back of her mind and she was sure it was nothing to worry about. As long as she avoided Jackson Andrews, which wouldn't be difficult- she'd heard a passing whisper that he'd already gone off-campus. She wasn't sure what to think about the other people who had been involved but only him and the girl with the sharp teeth really struck her as dangerous. Evie wished she could remember the girl's name but in the muddle of the morning, it had slipped her mind. It would've been easier to avoid her if she knew who the girl was, (avoidance was Evie's #1 tatic when it came to keeping herself safe but it was the same thing that had left her unable to leave the house just a few months ago, she wouldn't let it get that bad this time). The others seemed more like by-standers. Wrong place, wrong time. That shit can get you killed around here.

Easily, she chatted to one of her classmates as she packed up her things and hoisted her bag onto her shoulder. Spilling out into the hallway, Evie went with the flow of the crowd in the direction of the cafeteria. She bought her lunch and as she came out of the lunch line, she hesitated for the first time.

Looking around the room, Evie quickly found that she had no place anymore. Last year, she would've sat with her friends at their usual table but after they'd hospitalised her, she hadn't heard a word from them. There hadn't been one card, one get-well-soon, and one look at their table made it clear to her that they were getting by just fine without her. She had other friends too but most of them either didn't have the same lunch period or had their own cliques that they fit into. The longer she stood there, the more a rising sense of panic came over her. Her lunch was getting cold; her hands were getting clammy. She forced herself to take several deep breaths to stop herself from drowning. Snapping into action, Evie made her way across the cafeteria to a mostly deserted table and sat gingerly at the opposite end of the other residents.

At the other end of the table, a pair of younger girls were chatting and giggling. Evie thought about attempting to make conversation with her, talkative as she was, but decided against it. Instead, she retrieved a hand mirror from her bag and began to carefully touch up her lipstick; appearance meant a lot to her because she was a bit of a perfectionist, a bit obsessive, and the idea of her make-up smudging or her hair being out of place freaked her out. For the most part, her lunch remained untouched.

Hanah's day had gone like every school day, at english she does her best to turn her rating better with writing, as her speaking problems and that her homeworks gets stoled drops it. Pre-Algebra goes bad just because she doesn't understand it, plus her notes doesn't stay readable very long. Intro of tech had gone lot better, as long there had been pictures of machines or even better actual machines, as any of her bullies couldn't destroy her notes that she didn't make.

At when lunch time came, she collected her free peanut sandwich with water and taked her place at far away table. At where those who was from classes had gone to eat started to spread rumor how clumsy girl's mother was attacked last night and rumor how her mother sold herself to pay their living and now had disease.

Hanah didn't hear what they talked, but did notice that nobody didn't come to pour vinegar to her sandwich or salt to her water, like they would normally do, that made her smile bit, as even as peanut sandwich didn't taste great or filled much, it did taste lot better without vinegar.
