Then he isn't doing it for his own benefit, nor will he ever. True neutrals are sages that either a.) never join a side, and don't operate for their own benefit, or b.) operate for the weaker side, disregarding their own gain and switching sides the moment the table turns, always supporting the weaker side because they believe the world will fall apart if there is no balance.
