Ever heard of a phenomenon where people will willingly dismiss the truth just to make it easier? That's what Reign and Sol are doing right now. Reign is almost fully dismissing it happened, only acknowledging it by texting her mom to go "yeh i safe" and Sol is pushing it on the military.

Personally, I think Reign's commendable; she isn't panicking, and she isn't sticking her nose into stuff that'll get her killed. Very smart.

Humans are strange. Most have a herd mentality, despite everything, and if someone starts panicking, a lot of others will as well, and the effect spreads. Some get stuck in this deer-in-headlights mode instead, and just watch, mesmerised by the destruction.

Others, as demonstrated, try to push away any negative connotations, mostly out of denial, and abject refusal to believe that whatever they've experienced is real.

Ever got injured pretty badly before, or see someone get super badly injured, and note that they can walk it off and try to brush it off as nothing? It's adrenaline and denial taking over, just plain pushing them to head off somewhere.

It's not a commendable action. It's human.
