Fjdjfjf I’m waiting for class to end but here’s a random prompt:

Your character is invited to a fancy ball! The biggest question is of course what are they going to wear to it, but also how would they spend their time there? Do they dance the night away, are do they get bored by all that fancy-smancy type of stuff?

Okay lemme go ahead and actually answer this lmao.

So with 2003 while there is art of Ed wearing suits, most of it isn’t actually what you’d wear to ball/is silly non canon stuff. However, for the overall fma series there was a collab with this mobile game called Yume-100 that put Edward in something I could totally imagine him wanting to wear.



Like take away the silly cape and crown and I think he’d absolutely wear this sorta thing to a formal event if given free rein to do so.

As for what he’d be doing at said ball? I think he’d be sticking to the side, enjoying the various snacks and refreshments and chatting with anyone there that he actually knows. He probably wouldn’t go out of his way to dance, but if someone asked him for one, especially if it was like a friend or something I could see him possibly accepting.


And as for bonus stuff here’s some actual 2003 official art of him in suits, even if it’s not white tie appropriate lmao. As well, here’s a clip of the time Ed actually danced in a ballroom

oh Gintoki would definitely want to dance with Carmen. Confident, gorgeous and good at bantering? Sign him up. Maybe Gorgo too since she’s an attractive woman too, but then he finds out that shes married and is like “uh is your husband the jealous type??”

Everyone else is either a) not his type physically or b) too young.

I can’t say there really are many that would fit the type of either of my characters though I also don’t think they’d be closed off to dancing with pretty much anyone that’s willing

Ren probably would have a natural pull towards Carmen just for their likeness to each other. Imagining him trying to take the lead only for Carm to be like “lol nope. You’re letting me lead” is an amusing thought. There are probably others among the cast that could work, both guys and girls, but they don’t seem as fitting

Eupha would be wary to dance at first because of how close it would be and touching someone like that could be seen very romantic for her which makes her awkward. Honestly I’m not even sure who would fit with her

Think the last game that made me cry or get emotional in a significant capacity wasn't even technically a game, it was more of a visual novel with puzzles interlaced in it.

Dhsjfjdj so since Ed has really only interacted with three people so far, there’s not a lot of obvious choices for who he’d be up for dancing with. Winry’s an obvious pick of course, and I’m sure there’s definitely other people in the cast he wouldn’t mind dancing with if prompted, but I don’t think there’s anyone at the moment that Ed would super go out of his way to wanna nab a dance with. But who knows! Maybe once Ed gets to know the rest of the cast a lil better some more obvious picks might begin popping up!

ryza wants all the ladies but she'll back off if they say theyre straight.

kohaku wants to dance with komaeda and im got giving any reason. he just does.

kuruna...someone thats not human. eupha, marivel, or linkle. if shed gotten close to a human by the time of the ball, she'd dance with them, but at this point shed still be keeping her distance.

he has the same hair colour as the main character of rune factory 3 and he has the same anti-prejudice views; if she had to choose any character other than the 3 characters that arent human, she'd go with the one that reminds her of home

For what he’ll do, just walk around being a goofball probably, maybe ask a girl or two to dance, and some other stuff to not get bored

To be honest, any woman he sees as pretty, which doesn’t really remove any of the female characters in this RP from his list, but if it was new dawn jakka (new dawn is a remake of Andaron saga in a different game engine, with a ton of things such as lore and characters reworked, Jakka is one of them, he’s a lot more of a Scoundrel in new dawn) he’d definitely try to hit on one of them while dancing
