Max smiled happily at him "I love you too babe." She murmured happily before she made Lana a plate as well as hers. She sat down and ate her food happily with the two of them

Charlie smirked and kept the books above her head not going to let her win. He frowned though when he noticed her stumble and quickly put the books down and placed his arms around her "Are you okay?"

She steadied herself then nodded and looked up at him, "Yeah, I'm alright, just.. got dizzy, probably looked up too high." She smiled, pecking his cheek, going to snatch the first three books off the top and placed them in his hands, "There... I win." She teased, trying to brush off still feeling a little fuzzy so he didn't notice but it faded soon enough.

Jeff ate with them, checking over his e-mails and trying his best to get this movie deal finalised so they could crack on with filming, "This author is trying to grab every last bit of control he can get." he muttered shaking his head some.

Max gave a small laugh and smiled some "What author is it?" She asked softly taking his hand in hers and squeezing his hand gently for comfort

Charlie rolled his eyes and took her to check out "Alright alright." He said paying for the books then taking her home "Hoping to finalize the deal with the movie company, trying to get my last rights down."

"Charlie Hunnam, we were just lucky we got him to agree to anything at all, never let anyone touch his books." He muttered, glancing over at Lana who was sitting patiently, "You can be excused sweetheart, put your plate in the sink." He told her and smiled over at MAx while she ran off to go play with Dex. "Solved the issue of buying her a puppy." He chuckled

Carmen smiled, holding his hand in the car "Oh yeah? Try not to make their life too difficult love, they do know what they're doing." She pointed out and kissed his cheek once they pulled into the driveway, "You... you know that I'm incredibly grateful for everything you do for me right? You don't need to spend money on me like you do." She murmured fiddling with her hands in her lap

Max raised an eyebrow and laughed lightly "Really? My friend dates him you know? The girl I was living with before I moved in here." She said kissing his hand gently "I'm sure he is just protective of them."

Charlie smiled some at her and gave a small nod "I know, but I want to spoil you. Is that so wrong?" He asked raising an eyebrow "I've got all this money, and I don't know what to do with it. I save a damn good chunk of it, don't really need anything for myself but I could spend it on you."

She frowned shaking her head "No I'm not... I'm not complaining baby not one bit, I just... I want you to know that I really am so grateful." She murmured and leaned over, pecking his cheek again, going inside the house with him.

His head shot up and looked up at her, "Can you get me a meeting with him?" He asked her. "All of this has been done through his agent and it's taking forever. If I could just get a meeting with Hunnam then it would make life so much easier" He begged her, grabbing at her hands

Max frowned softly at him "I...I don't know Jeff. I'll see but I can't make any kind of promises." She said biting her lip some

Charlie smiled happily as he watched her go inside before he made his way in as well. He looked over a few emails and groaned some seeing more stuff from his agent over this movie deal "God why can't he get this shit right?!" He said out of frustration

Jeff nodded, "Even just asking your friend would be a massive help baby." He murmured, pecking her cheek and got up to do the dishes for her.

Carmen smiled some, "Cause Ernie is an agent not a contracts expert." She reminded him and pecked his cheek, "I'm gonna go take a nap before we have to go out again." She murmured tiredly.

Max gave a small nod and helped clean up "Alright babe, I'll try to call her tomorrow." She murmured kissing him gently

Charlie nodded and chuckled some "Love you beautiful, I'll see you when you wake up." He murmured before he went to his study

"Thank you... you and me need a date night." he murmured to her, smiling some and running his fingers up her sides when he was done with the dishes.

Carmen smiled some and gave him a little salute, heading up to bed and curling up under the duvet, letting herself drift off for a nap after the mental rollercoaster she'd been on that morning

Max smirked some and nodded running a hand through his hair "Mmmm yes yes we do." She said softly pecking his lips a few times "She'll be in school soon enough."

Charlie started working on his book sighing heavily when he got stuck on the end of it yet again.

"Two more weeks." He murmured happily but those last two weeks of vacation seemed to drag on for forever with Lana misbehaving around him most of the time now that she'd decided Max was her favorite again but she was finally back in school and he had finished working full time, now down to part time so he could focus more on his family. "Babe what time did you say they were gonna be here again?" He called to her, having got a get together arranged between them and Carmen and Charlie.

Carmen frowned some, swaying on her feet a little as she tried to finish doing her hair in their bathroom. She'd been feeling funny for a couple weeks now and at first she'd thought it was because of her period but now, that was long gone.

Max smiled some as she came from the living room after cleaning it up. She had been happy to have him home now and she just hoped he wouldn't get too stressed about this movie. She kissed him gently and smiled "In about an hour babe, you feeling okay?" She asked softly

Charlie smiled at her some as he came into the room finishing the last button on his shirt "So you sure they won't be trying to screw me over right?" He teased smiling happily at her "How are you beautiful?"

Jeff nodded and smiled some at her, holding her hips as he watched her, "I'm good, glad to be home with my gorgeous woman." He murmured softly to her and pressed his forehead to hers. "It'll be nice having a bit more free time." He murmured happily to her.

Carmen nodded and looked up at him, "Sure... well.... almost sure... Max wouldn't screw me over like that, I don't know Jeff... I can't believe you got a shirt out for this... they live on a farm like us handsome." She murmured, skirting around the question of how she was doing. She'd told him how she'd felt off and she knew he was a little worried but she had a gp appointment for the next morning tha she would be going to

Max smiled some at him and swayed with him kissing him gently "Mmm I love you babe, and I'm glad to have you home." She said happily cupping his cheeks some "I ever tell you how much I like the beard?"

Charlie chuckled softly and kissed her cheek gently "I get that, but I still need to look presentable." He said wrapping his arms around her waist before letting his hands fall to her stomach rubbing small circles

She nodded some and leaned back against him, "I'm not pregnant." She mumbled, "I just had my period I know it's not cause I'm pregnant." She muttered, "I'll get the answers tomorrow though alright? And you can stop worrying." She murmured tiredly.

Jeff smiled, "Only every day." He chuckled, humming softly to her, "I got us dinner reservations at the steak house tomorrow night, Lana is going to my mom's and you and me are having an evening entirely to ourselves." He smiled at her looking pleased as punch with himself.

Charlie gave a small nod and bit his lip some "You ever want kids? In the future of course." He said softly to her. It was one thing he regretted about Laura that he had never had any with her

Max smiled happily at him giving a small nod "Mmm that sounds nice and can I expect dessert?" She asked biting her lip as she gently tugged at his hair

She smiled and looked up at him. “It’s not something I ever thought about... but I think with the right person... yes I’d love to.” She murmured kissing under his chin and glanced at the time. “We better get going.” She pointed out and squeezed his hand heading downstairs to go get in the car.

“depends what kind of dessert youre talking about.” He chuckled and kissed her gently. “I love you max. Very very much.” He murmured softly to her.

Charlie smiled softly and gave a small nod before he left with her holding her hand the entire way as he drove. Once they got there he smiled some looking over the place "This is a nice place, looks nice and homey."

Max smiled softly at him "Mmm I think you know what kind I'm talking about." She said smiling more when he said he loved her "I love you too Jeff, very much." She murmured before letting go of him when she heard a knock at the door

She smiled and nodded some. “Mmhmm, almost as homey as your place.” She murmured, getting out and going to knock on the door, yawning some as she glanced back at him “relax. There’s no pressure.” She smiled turning back and seeing max. “Hey! We brought dessert and company.” She grinned walking in with her homemade peach cobbler and greeting her. “Max you remember Charlie right?” She asked her “where’s jeff at?” She’s met him before but they’d never had their partners meet each other until now.

He smiled going to grab a couple beers out of the fridge not knowing anything about his previous drinking problem, heading back out “hey carmen, Charlie can i offer you a beer?” He asked while the girls went straight to the kitchen.

Max smiled happily and hugged her friend as she opened the door "Just getting some drinks, come on in. Charlie, its nice to meet you again." She happily taking Carmen to the kitchen when Jeff had come out

Charlie frowned as he saw the beer temped to take it to ease his nerves. He took a deep breath shaking his head some "No thank you, just a water for me." He murmured

Carmen smiled some and leaned up against the counter. “How’s everything been with you then?” She asked her smiling some.

Jeff nodded. “No problem.” He smiled some going to sit down with him. “So I hear that the go between guy, your agent, isn’t actually the best way to do things with this contract.” He chuckled some.

Max smiled happily at her friend "Been pretty damn good, I can't complain. Lana keeps flipping between who is her favorite so right now she is being a major pain in the ass for Jeff but its nothing we can't handle." She said speaking of the little not as a child she baby sat anymore but as if she were her own "How are things with you and Charlie? He seems MUCH happier since the last time I saw him."

Charlie gave a small laugh and nodded at him "Ernie is a great agent, just sometimes not the brightest when it comes to this stuff." He said as he sat down "Look, I just want to be able to see the screenplay and script before its all said and done. I'd like to be on set as well during the duration of filming to help them see what I saw in my head for major scenes." He told him seriously trying to be reasonable about it all but this book was his baby, his first and biggest hit.

Carmen nodded and smiled some as she sat down and ran a hand through her hair, "They're good, he's uh, he's almost finished with this new book which I think is taking a lot of stress off his plate but he's finally settling with us... Starting to see me not as a replacement for Laura but someone else entirely." She told her, "He's just worried about this movie is all, he doesn't want this to be ruined.

Jeff raised an eyebrow and nodded, "Well that's a lot more reasonable than what your agent was asking for." He muttered, getting that all written down, "I'm sure we can work that in... Carmen still does a lot of your admin work right? I'll send her a copy of the new contract with that written in and let me know what you think. We need to get this finalised as soon as possible though so the filmmakers can get to work." He pointed out

Charlue chuckled some giving a small nod "Sounds like a plan to me. I definitely want to get this ball rolling." He said sipping his water some

Max gave a nod and smiled "Yeah Jeff has been stressing on it too. I'm glad we could get them together to work it out." She said happily
