Heal My Heart

Matsu quickly downed some toast and orange juice, then called out to Miku, who was still in bed. "If stop by your house on the way to school, we could probably pick up your uniform. We've got an hour."

Miku groaned and got out of bed, trudging into the room. "Fine." she said, looking at him. She sat down across from him and rubbed her head.

"Want breakfast?" He held out a toasted bagel before putting on his shoes and slinging his school bag across his shoulder. "Walking there should't take too long."

Miku accepted the toasted bagel and shoved it in her mouth before slipping on her shoes and walking out the door with him.

"So I thought I should tell you..." Matsu chewed on his toast while thinking about what he had seen the other day. "I saw Kevin with some girl when I went shopping yesterday."

Miku growled. "Damn bitch." She mumbled, gnawing on her toast. She was a feisty one, and he only went with her because "She was to plain and boring."

Matsu raised his eyebrows. "Yeah, I've heard some...interesting things about that girl." He didn't like to gossip, but when you hung around with and messed around with multiple guys, the news spread quickly. The two of them arrived at Miku's home, and Matsu stopped at the front door. "I'll wait here, don't take too long."

Miku laughed at him. "You Matsu? I thought you hated gossip." She commented, walking inside. She quickly ran up to her room and grabbed her uniform. She tugged it on, straitening her bow before running back downstairs and out the door.

Matsu led the way, continuing to walk towards the school. "Well, you know how it is. The girls tell the guys things, and the guys tell the girls things. Somewhere in there, everyone ends up knowing about what's going on." Matsu, although he liked to keep to himself and his friends, was relatively well-known throughout the school because he was quite a bit taller than the rest of the student body and towered over pretty much everyone.

Miku chuckled. "That is how it works. It is like a silent cycle of death." She stated, adjusting her knee high socks and putting her shoes on all the way. She looked at him, and realized once again how unfair it was that he was two heads taller than her. She sighed. "Why do I have to be short?" She stated.

Matsu simply patted her head in response to her question. "You wouldn't get any guys if you were taller than all of them, would you?" As they approached the front gates of the school, Matsu caught sight of Kevin and the girl that he had seen with him in the supermarket the day before. He quickly turned his attention away from them, hoping that Miku didn't notice.

Miku smiled. "You always know what to say Matsu." She said, walking up to the gate. Seeing Kevin, she went rigid. He smirked, thinking that she would run or cry. Instead, she took a sip of her coffee cup and gave him the middle finger, walking strait past them.

Matsu gave Kevin the cold shoulder as he walked with Miku to their classroom. They had been placed in the same class this year; the unfortunate thing was that Kevin was also in their class. "Are you sure you're fine?" Matsu questioned, not sure if Miku coming to school was a good idea or not.

Miku shrugged. "He tries to talk to me, I will do what I did this morning again. He tries to hit me, I will give him a piece of my worth. He will end up with more than a split lip though." She said, cracking her knuckles.

Matsu chuckled, and the two of them reached the classroom just as the bell rang. "Just be careful you don't get into any trouble. Being expelled doesn't look too good on your record when you're looking for colleges." He slid into his seat near the front of the room, and started to take out his books as the teacher entered the room.

Matsu turned around, distracted from the lecture by the sound of paper hitting Miku's head. When the teacher wasn't looking, Matsu took the chance to throw an eraser at Kevin's forehead, which made a slapping noise as it met with his skin. The two glared at each other from across the room while the class looked on in amusement.

Miku didn't even notice, glaring at the front board. The teacher was now just watching them, a bit amused. But she soon broke it up, leaving them to go back to class.

The tall boy rolled his eyes and returned his attention to the lesson, but was distracted by his ex-girlfriend, named Sora, who looked like she was flirting with Kevin. He made a disgusted face at her, to which he received the middle finger. She was the queen bee of the class, and although her appearance was alluring, her attitude and personality was terrible.

Miku smiled as the bell for lunch rang. She smiled and grabbed her bento and took out her chopsticks, walking towards the roof. That is where she usually ate lunch.

Matsu rushed to the school's gym once the bell rang, and played a bit of basketball with his friends. He eventually left them, and decided to eat his lunch on the roof since it was a nice day out. "Hey!" Matsu called out to Miku cheerfully, as he spotted her eating lunch on her own.

Matsu went and sat down next to her, opening up his lunch and taking out an apple. "Do you always eat up here? I never knew that." He chewed on the juicy fruit thoughtfully, and looked at the city below them. "What are you doing after school today?"

Miku shrugged. "Probably go home, hope my parents don't come back today, and eat a bunch of junk food." She said, finishing her lunch.

"I have a better idea," he grinned. "How about we go to that party that Ao's having at his place?" A devilish look appeared on his face. "After all, there's no better revenge on an ex than to get with someone else right afterwards, right? So what do you say?"
