2000 IQ Killjoy Detective
"Alright, Mars. Attack me. Please, don't hold back. I need to make sure I can create a wall that will actually do a good job protecting me."
Mars took position 50 or so feet away from Lyra, having flames flash on and off of his hands. Sighing, he ran his hand through his hair as he thought of a technique to use. He wasn't too worried about Lyra not being able to block his attack, since flames weren't that great at breaking things. He had a few techniques that could make a dent in a hard barrier, but nothing strong enough to completely destroy it. There were attacks he had such as surrounding the opponent in a tornado of flames that made up for his inability to smash through physical barriers. Still, upon hearing Lyra say not to hold back, he couldn't help but try out his fire missile technique. "Well, you better be ready then, because this is made specifically to break tough barriers such as yours."
Placing his feet shoulder length apart, he held out his left hand palm forward and placed his injured hand on the wrist. He slowly began building pressure, focusing intently on the execution. This is the perfect test to see exactly how strong it is. His mind was clear from any distractions for the moment, so there was less risk of things going wrong. After about fifteen seconds, the palm of his hand began to smoke, indicating the final stage of the move. "Okay, now!" With that, he released the built up fireball from his palm, the force causing him to stumble backwards. Yes! It worked! Though it launched, he wasn't sure if exactly how strong it would be. Guess both he and Lyra were practicing a new technique. The flames looked like a rocket as it spun horizontally at an extreme velocity towards its target.
