Fantasy Hawthorne Academy

(@Haruhi Suzumiya)

"I'll probably be in my room while you're at the sports club - So maybe we should meet somewhere in between. Or maybe you would want to come to my dorm, or for me to come to yours?"

That suited him to a degree. After finishing a bit of jogging around the track, head back to his own dorm to have a shower, then he would walk the way over to her dorm. Nice and simple, he mentally muttered, But am I even allowed into the girls dorm? I can't imagine it would be advised...I'll just ask Maria for crying out loud! It was going to be an awkward experience for the young Irishman, it was not often he'd talk to women. Well, women that weren't related to him. Nor was there any doubt in his mind that his heart will be beating a million-miles an hour even if the whole conversation wasn't anything like that. But Luke felt this was the right course of action, he figured that this would make it easier to talk to people in general. But it wouldn't be easy, he would have to utilize every bit of willpower he could to try and not blush through the whole ordeal. But that would simply be asking too much of him, Bell was simply, utterly uncomfortable around women even though his façade that he isn't seems to work.

Now the inquiry was going to be made.

"Now, I best be heading off," he announced, making sure all his jogging attire was with him, "Someone's going to have make me jog because if I don't start now, I won't ever! Before I do go however, I have to ask one question; am I actually allowed to go to the girl's dorm? I wouldn't be entirely surprised if there was some rule in place that prevented such a thing. So would I be able?

Maria Scarlette

Maria stared blankly at Luke. "Well, to be honest," Maria started, "I don't know, but I hadn't really thought-" Maria looked down at herself. "Yeah, no." Maria laughed. "If you think you'll get in trouble for going into my room, I can go into yours," Maria offered. "Then I would get in trouble, and what would I get in trouble for?" Maria went over her plans in her mind, and started trying to guess how long she might need for everything she planned to do. "I'll do some things in my room for a while, then I'll come over to the South Dorms. How about that?" Before Luke had a chance to respond, Maria added, "Right, we'll do that, then - You need to get to Sports Club and I need to go do some things. See you in an hour!"

Maria ran off to her dorm. She burst through the door to her dorm, threw aside her bag and headed into the bathroom. "I need a shower," Maria started.

*Fade to black/timeskip/whateverthehell*

Maria stepped out of the shower and wrapped herself in a towel, humming to a song she couldn't quite figure out the name of. She walked over to the sink and looked at herself in the mirror with dissatisfaction. "Maybe... Yes, I think. That could work..." Maria dried her hair off as well as she could and curled her hair (With great difficulty, long hair is long). Maria ran out to her bed, pulled out her suitcase and took out one of her dresses. "This will do," Maria decided and replaced the towel with the dress.

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_07/57a8bfebd8618_WHATISTHIS.jpg.552481f6383793e5abaccbffbfff737a.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="24901" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_07/57a8bfebd8618_WHATISTHIS.jpg.552481f6383793e5abaccbffbfff737a.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Maria looked at her reflection in the bathroom mirror again. Something about this dress told her it would definitely work better on Veronica, but she liked it on herself, too. She thought she looked nice in it, even if black hair would have looked better than silver hair with this particular dress. Maria slipped on a pair of flats and looked at the time. "I can wait a while," Maria thought aloud. "I'll lay down and sleep for a while, then I'll go out in about fifteen minutes." At that, Maria fell asleep face-down on her bed with her alarm set.

Rai-Chan updated Hawthorne Academy with a new update entry:

What's Going On #11

~Written by the amazing Haruhi Suzumiya. Thanks!~

Oh, hello. Page 144...

Maria folds over the corners of a page in a book.

Hey, I'm Maria - I've been tasked with telling you... Er, whoever you are, with what's been happening so far at Hawthorne. Sit tight, because we've got a lot to cover. Keep your hands and feet inside the nonexistent vehicle and let's get started, shall we? Oh, and keep in mind I'll inevitably forget a few things... Sorry. Not even 998 years...

Timeskip Report

Ambrogino Friar

---------------------------------------------

- During the four months, Geno spent a lot of time trying to learn how to meditate, and eventually became rather good at it. Spending time meditating has allowed him to summon his power in greater capacity and faster than before, which he himself thinks is totally convenient and cool. He's also learned to control the weight of his metal better, but the heat control is still above him. He can barely change the heat of it at all, unless he's holding it, and holding it leads to him burning himself, so it ain't something he uses yet.

- As per usual, he's constantly at least a little depressed, and occasionally goes into deeper depressions. Luckily for him, the school has brought him a lot more happiness than sorrow.

- Unfortunately, Geno's first real love for years didn't quite work out. He and Calista fell apart, and are now barely friends. She found interest in another, and Geno found comfort in his pillow. Except not really, because Geno pent it all up and became a cold dickhead for a couple weeks instead. He ain't the crying type. An awkward hello is the most you could expect from a word exchange between the two. @DeijiiChan

- Luckily for Geno, his savior came in the form of another. Raph, who seemed like a real fun person at first, became good friends with him, and it eventually flourished into something more. Her enthusiastic and happy style works wonders on Geno, and he's happy he's found her. (I call it Geraph. Get it? Cuz giraffe...) @Rai\-Chan

- Geno and Shinji became alright friends on the first day, and they still are. Shinji is fun to be around, and has interesting views of things. Let's say he was PRETTY surprised when he learned about his orientation, but he got past it in less than 8 seconds. It doesn't change who Shinji's been this far, and probably won't change who he'll become. He's still Shinji, and Shinji is cool. @DeijiiChan

- Since Shinji and Geno are #bros4lyf now, of course he met his boy, Blake. Blake, as expected of a boyfriend of Shinji, was cool, and seemed to have some sort of rivalry with Mars too, so there's that. @magikarpfever

- Geno and Cylva... WEEELL. There seemed to have been a large misunderstanding there, which lead to some pretty awkward conversations. Let's not delve to deeply into it for respect of the OC's, but let's just say Geno has a difficult time looking Cylva in the eyes now. An awkward hello would in this case be rare. Talking is rare. It's really awkward. @Rai\-Chan

- Anthony had left a bad impression, and the loathing seemed to be mutual. Gwen and Anthony avoid eachother with a passion.

- Calista and Gwen... Well.. Gwen was a bit puzzled about the shy girl at first. She had caught word of Geno's and her short relationship, and immediately caught a bit of a disliking towards her, just out of the mutual loyalty between her and Geno. However, after a long conversation between the siblings she learned that he didn't actually hate Calista for leaving him, and that she's a good person, despite them not working out. Therefore, Gwen likes Calista now. She considers her pretty cute for being shy, and thinks she's great fun to hang out with. @DeijiiChan

- Luke seemed totally lame at first. The DID didn't make it better, but Gwen eventually came to respect her partner. He was alright, despite being a bit weird, and they are stuck together after all. At least he's competent in combat. @Larrylycan

- Through her connection with Cylva, Gwen met Kahra a couple of times, and they're all fun and friendly, too. @Rai\-Chan

(This was the first thing I've written in a long time that I've had fun with. If anyone wants to point out that something is dumb, send me a PM and I'll change it)

After the whole monster fight and classes Blake kept on thinking about Shinji’s powers. Seeing Shinji's raw power like that, it was intense even on a weak monster. When Shinji used his shadows to basically rip apart the monster like it was paper, Blake was entranced. Walking to the student council room Blake was interrupted by a slight buzz making him stop and pull out his cell phone.

To: Blakey-Boo, Veronica XOXO

Subject: Student Council Meeting is Cancelled

The subject says it all.

Sighing Blake put away his phone and started to walk the other way. That's odd, why wasn't the message sent to Mars...unless...no I'm jumping to conclusions, Mars would never be interested in that sort of thing... Now walking through the hallways Blake decided to check out the school gardens and text Shinji to see what he was up to and if he wanted to hang out with him. Once at the quaint little garden Blake was surprised to see Shinji napping under a tree. What a freaking coincidence. From what he could tell Shinji looked pretty peaceful, the sound of nature must have lulled him into a pleasant sleep. Taking a seat next to him Blake couldn't help but give him a quick kiss on the forehead and run his fingers through his deep black hair, it was incredibly peaceful here and with Shinji also here Bake felt at ease.

@DeijiiChan

(@DeijiiChan, @Kriyze, @iLoriel2, @magikarpfever)

A light gust of wind carelessly breezed across the snow covered campus, disturbing the paths of a few snowflakes as it blew. A blanket of white stretched as far as the eye could see. All the familiar features of the school had seemingly disappeared beneath the glittering white. Sun sparkled, picking out glittery diamonds clasped in frosty settings. Such a scene resembled that of an untouched snowglobe, aside from the few trails of footsteps imprinted into the frost. . .though it wouldn't stay like this for long. The serenity would soon be broken by the whooping of ecstatic students as they emerged from their classrooms, thus marking the end of an eventful semester.

~Headmistress Kinya Weatherstone/Professor Xavier Caige/Professor Liam DiFranco/Professor Crysta Chime/Professor Giovia Eriwind~

Whether they were going home for Christmas or staying at Hawthorne, all of the students were glad to see the end of classes. . .for the time being, at least. Kinya looked out her window, which was fogged and frosted, and placed her hand onto the freezing pane. Ever since the beginning of the semester, she and the other professors had been worrying nonstop about this. . .creature getting into Hawthorne, but none of them had actually seen it. They probably would've decided that there was nothing really wrong if it weren't for the fact that Crysta was violently ill very often due to this strange presence. . .and the fact that Ryuu Luigi, one of Hawthorne's janitors (and part time campus guard), had gone missing the same day that Theodore was found dead. Elsa, Ryuu's girlfriend, was going absolutely crazy by this. . .she often tried to sneak out to find him, but never got very far before Xavier dragged her back to the safety of Hawthorne's walls. Ryuu wasn't the only staff member to go missing, either. Three others, two men and one woman, who were guarding the school had mysteriously vanished as well.

Kinya bowed her head and dropped her hand from the cold glass, leaving the mark of her palm etched in the fog. That's when she felt warm, familiar hands on her shoulders. The woman glanced back, and wasn't surprised to see Xavier standing behind her. She didn't bother asking him how he got inside, since she now always kept her door locked. She sighed and let them man gently massage her tense shoulders.

"We can't keep a lid on this much longer." she muttered. "People are. . .they're. . ."

Xavier gently hushed her, and said,
"Kinya, don't worry. I'm doing everything I can to solve this. . .all you need to do is go about your job as if nothing were wrong. No students have been taken. . ."

Kinya spun around to face the man, her eyes narrowed.

"So are we just going to sit here until one is?" she snapped. The woman bowed her head and crossed her arms. "Four people are missing...probably dead...and we don't even have a lead. . .who knows how long it'll be before this. . .thing. . .starts taking students as well?"

Xavier felt his heart drop into his stomach, and he didn't hesitate to envelope the Headmistress in his arms. She was just as scared as all of them, if not even more.

"What should we do, then. . .?" he asked quietly.

There was a long pause.

". . .we shouldn't let them come back until we figure out what's going on." she muttered. She looked up at him, almost glad that her quivering lip was hidden by her mask. "It's. . .the best thing to do."

At that moment Liam trudged in, traces of snow still on his boots. Crysta was hugging his arm and leaning on him heavily. Since the middle of the semester, she needed somebody to help her get around. Liam would wake up early in the morning and bring the woman some breakfast, make her tea, help her get dressed, and then escort her to her office. They would both chat until lunchtime, and then Liam would get her something to eat. He'd make a large batch of tea for her students before they came, and then went to his own classroom. After the bell rang, he would immediately go back to Crysta. He would clean up for her, and then he would usually help her back to her apartment.

"Crysta. Liam." Kinya greeted, slipping out of Xavier's embrace to help Liam get Crysta seated. The blinded woman smiled and released her grip on Liam's arm before taking off both of her gloves and reaching out towards Kinya. The Headmistress slipped Crysta's hand into her own and gave it a friendly squeeze.

"Kinya." Crysta smiled as she was guided to a chair. As she sat, she could feel Liam drape a blanket over her shoulders as he asked, "Would you like some tea, Crysta?"

Crysta gave a small nod and said,
"Tea sounds amazing. . .it's freezing out there."

Xavier automatically walked over to Kinya's coffee pot and started to heat up some water, and Kinya knelt down beside her friend. In the months that Crysta was unable to do much on her own, all of the professors had learned to help her as much as they possibly could. The unseeing woman often insisted that they needn't do anything, and that she didn't want to burden them at such a stressful time. . .but as Xavier said, it was four against one.

Only a moment later, Giovia stumbled in. It was almost a funny sight, as the woman looked like she was dressed to take on the next Ice Age. All of her long hair was tucked up in a plain, black beanie, her hands completely enveloped in three pairs of gloves and one pair of mittens. Her scarf winded all the way to just below her eyes, which were hidden beneath a pair of snow goggles. It looked like she was wearing at least two heavy coats and three pairs of pants, one pair being an extra thick, heavy duty waterproof pants. And her boots? Oh. . .her boots. . .they looked as if they were made completely out of poodle fur.

"I-i-i-i-i-it is a-a-absolutely u-unbearabl FREEZING o-out there!" Giovia chattered as she stomped inside, tracking in enough snow to make a small igloo. She quickly took a place on the rug in front of the fireplace. Liam smiled, and said, "Oh, come on. It's not that bad. . ."

The five of them talked for about fifteen minutes, none of them bringing up anything that might upset Crysta. They mostly spoke of Christmas, plans for the next semester. . .small talk. They all acted like everything was fine, but it was clear that nobody bought that.

After Kinya wished them all a Merry Christmas (and a Happy New Year) and saw them out, she quickly closed her door an locked it, leaning heavily on the wood. She stared straight ahead, frowning. She'd been standing in that exact spot about four months ago, staring at the mangled body of her small, three-eyed monster. The woman sighed, and rested her forehead on her knees.

~Kahra~

Kahra let out a small groan as she sat herself up as the last bell rang throughout the campus. Her hair was sticking up at all ends, dark circles had been etched under the girls eyes, and a used tissue was glued to her left cheekbone. She was sick with a cold for about three days, and it was really starting to get old. She'd gone to classes the first two days she was sick, but when she'd woken up that morning, she knew that trying to focus on anything would be absolutely pointless. Besides, it was the last day of classes. . .nobody was actually going to get any work done. The girl kicked off her blanket, blowing her nose one more time before standing up. She didn't have a fever, which was good. . .but she still felt like crap. . .well, there was one thing that cheered her up. She was going to go meet up with Aleks.

Of course, he didn't know this. It would be a million years before he'd approve letting his girlfriend go outside in the snow while she was sick.

They'd been sitting on "their" bench when he'd asked her.

"Ohh, I hate these bugs. . .geez, wouldn't it be great if I just had someone to always protect me from them, Aleks?"

"Y-you know.. I could protect you..from...things..forever. If you're willing.."

The girl chuckled, remembering how she'd thought that he was just joking around with her. . .and how awkward she felt when she learned he was serious. She had blushed furiously. . .and of course, said yes. Her heart fluttered, remembering how happy he'd looked.

Kahra shuffled into the bathroom to evaluate herself. When she looked in the mirror, she honestly expected a lot worse. . .but there was nothing wrong with her face that a little bit on concealer wouldn't fix. As she reached for her makeup bag, a small glimmer caught her eye. Glancing at her collarbone, she could see the sparkling, silver snowflake hanging from a simple chain around her neck. The girl smiled, gently touching the delicate charm.

"Your smile is all I need to brighten up my day and make you look cute. . .but I think this necklace will make you look cute too."

Kahra's cheeks reddened just thinking back on how kindly he had said the words. Aleksander always had a way of making her feel special. He was one of the few people who'd she'd celebrated her birthday with. Mars had given her a copy of all of his combat notes. He had recorded the powers, techniques, and fighting patterns of all of the students he'd encountered. . .it was quite an amazing gift.

She'd become pretty close to Ami as well, being her roommate and all, and had become friends with a girl named Gwen Friar.

Kahra quickly shook her head, realizing that she was getting distracted. She quickly put on whatever makeup she felt necessary, and tried the brush her hair. She just decided to put it in a simple braid, and then slipped out of the bathroom. She quickly got undressed, and then pulled on a pair of grey pants, and then her black trench coat over a simple cream colored turtleneck. Her gloves and hat were both a nice cream color, and her scarf matched her pants. Why was she so well coordinated today? She didn't know. Maybe to impress Aleks. She quickly pulled on her boots, and then walked out of the room. When she made it outside, she suddenly wished that she put on more layers. It was really cold. She sniffled, and then started towards the Meditation and Focus classroom. After about ten minutes. . .she saw him. A wide grin spread across her face, and she couldn't stop herself from breaking into a run towards him. She'd lost her hat on her way over, but she didn't even notice. As she was about five feet from him, she stepped on a patch of packed snow, and started to slip.

"Aleks!" she squealed as she fell into his arms. She knew that he'd catch her, he always did.

~Lyra~

Lyra stood up once that bell rang, dismissing her from class. The bell that had been annoying her since the semester started. . .she was almost sad to think that that was the last time she'd hear it until after the break. The girl quickly put away her notebook, and then turned in whatever books she'd borrowed from Liam to his desk. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and sighed, glancing back at the boy who she had just been sitting with. The boy who'd been one of Lyra's closest friends since she first came to the school, the boy with the flaming red hair, the boy constantly had an injury of some sort. . .

The boy who she was dating. Mars Porter.

She smiled, almost surprised that it had already been four months since the two started going out. Of course, the two had know eachother for years, but it wasn't until that day in the dining hall when Mars confessed to her that she really realized that what she felt for him was more than just friendship. Of course, not much was different between the two other than the occasional date or peck on the lips or cheek, but Lyra thought it was nice to have somebody to call her boyfriend. Of course, when Mars had told her about his crush on her, she was confused. Really confused. It took a lot of explaining to finally get her to understand what he was saying.

Mars wasn't the only person she'd grown considerably closer with. Her roommates, Gwen and Calista (@Kriyze and @DeijiiChan) had both become two of Lyra's best friends, though sharing a bathroom with two other girls often sparked arguments. Lyra had also became fairly close with her collaboration partner, Cylva (@AshenLily). . .well, close despite the fact that Lyra nearly crushed the girl under a pile of rocks during on of their projects.

"Hey, Mars-Bars!" Lyra grinned, leaning forward on the Treasurer's desk. "Snowball fight?" (@cojemo)

Anthony gave a smile as he wrote letters at night and healed up. He had a close call or two but has overall stayed under the radar. He stayed to himself and was nice to Calista and Cylva so nobody thought he was playing favorites.

He also avoided that girl Gwen to the best of his ability and met her brother Geno. Geno seemed cool so he may be a nice guy to hang out with of course Anthony met all that was annoying and slapped it in the face yesterday. He had challenged Isaac to a duel in the classic manner of a glove to the chops.

He was also rather busy hand writing letters which he didn't do often since he could essentially write with his powers.

He felt this made letters special but a lot of his time was spent texting Calista and Cylva but he had talked to Lyra too. He told her that he wished he had been to the charity date auction and then he gave her a "small" cash donation of $500 in American currency.

He was unfamiliar with anybody else except the teachers he was trying to get on their good side by buying some very fine and expensive tea for Crysta and a few practice dummies. He also gave Giovia a few healing herbs and Liam got a typewriter and a small monster in a jar. That's what the monster got for trying to tangle Anthony's headphones the little bugger.

Anthony also had a bet with Calista that he lost and as the loser he has to do almost anything she asks for the week.

Calista
right
In for a little combat practice?

Maria Scarlette

Wake up, get dressed, measure up by the door, go to class, talk with Luke after class, help with Mars' romance problems, food, sleep. This is your life now, Maria dearest.

Maria yawned and stretched - She pushed all the blankets off her bed in the process. She had been trying to sleep, because it was all she really wanted to do at this point. Going home, wherever that would be, was a terrible idea at the time - She would spend Christmas, New Years' and her birthday alone if she went home. She wanted nothing more than to stay here, with people she knew and liked... She wanted to see Luke, she wanted to talk to him, spend the Winter break with him. He was just a friend as far as Maria was concerned, but she liked him a lot. Then there was Mars, who had been going to her for romantic advice after hearing of her power and her experiences, which she liked. Maria rolled off her bed and looked into her suitcase, which she still hadn't unpacked. It was stuffed to the brim with things she had bought recently for the winter - Boots, sweaters, thick leggings and fuzzy socks were the most plentiful items in the suitcase. Maria arranged an outfit for herself that she knew she would like and would keep her warm.

1RenL5GPLdHXUBEcoRO-OpH_khqYTM34DliwiyKxJlcEQYrKkwoh3Mz7eaXeGBAjAfVI_bX0R1htyEbko5EqhVbCOjmjw9lZfFeW8NeJxI31v1iesTjqZ15HGQKDQEtU8w

Maria walked into the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror - She thought she looked nice. She noticed that she had grown - She wasn't the measly 4'9 she used to be. Meditation and Focus developing her abilities had apparently started to make her grow again, which seemed to be happening slowly but surely, as she was now 5'2. Something was nice about being taller, even if it was only by a bit. Go outside, find Luke, talk to him - Or, if you find anyone else, you can talk to them instead.

At that, Maria headed outside - It was cold, but not unbearably so. Little snowflakes fluttered down from the sky as far as Maria's piercing red eyes could see, which she loved. Something about Winter was something she simply loved. "Oh, Winter," Maria chimed. "Not even nine hundred ninety-nine of you is enough." Right, it was her birthday today, wasn't it? "Happy birthday to you," Maria sung. "Happy birthday to you," she repeated. "Happy birthday, Maria... Happy birthday to you."

"Are you one, are you two, are you three..." Maria laughed at her own lame joke. "Are you nine hundred ninety-nine..." She looked down at her boots and lost herself in thought. "Did I tell anyone today was my birthday?" Maria thought, a concerned look on her face. "I probably did, but I just forgot."

Maria looked up and through the falling snow - She wondered if anyone else was wandering around out here too.

Mirabelle Ami

Wake up, wake up again, wake up for real this time, wake up Kahra, get dressed, eat something, go to class, practice, eat, sleep. Repeat.

Ami laid on her bed, her eyes half-open and a scowl on her face. She had hardly changed at all, which was strange. Despite four months passing, she had hardly changed. She became friends with Kahra, which was nice, but Kahra was her only friend, really. Lyra was all right, but the little kiss-hap always got in the way. The only thing that truly bothered Ami about that was that Lyra had never been kissed before Ami did that... And Lyra was really good. Seriously. For someone inexperienced, she had natural talent.

Maybe that's her power.

Ami looked at her phone, which had a bunch of numbers from people she never talked to anymore - The idea of talking to any of them now seemed desperate and stupid. She considered hanging out with Kahra for the Winter break, but she would be staying with her own family, wouldn't she? Besides, wasn't the Headmistress related to Kahra? She had mentioned the Headmistress like she was family more than once, she knew that much, and they had the same last name. She didn't want to ask, either, because if she wasn't right things would be incredibly awkward.

There was Aleksander, Ami's partner, though they didn't really talk aside from when they practiced. There was Alain, who she hadn't talked to since the second day. Then there was Mars, who she hadn't talked to since... Well, the second day. Again. She had flirted with some of the guys and succeeded with most of them, and she hadn't told anyone about her power - Aleksander being the only exception to that - But things were always incredibly dull. The only thing that seemed to be keeping her around was free food and a decent place to sleep, and maybe Kahra.

Ami shut her eyes. "If I could have anything right now, it would be sleep. I don't care for how long or why. I just want to sleep."

@Holo[/URL] ). The goody-two-shoes. Not only was he rude but also thinking he had a right to butt into other conversations making him the hero. What a joke. Either way, Isaak had a duel with this man. Like the noble he was, they would be using standard weapons, maybe a glove to the face but more likely some other kind of weapon.

Surprisingly he was actually getting along with his step-sister, Lyra. Perhaps all he had to do was spend quite a long time with her but every now and then, he'll visit her room and they'll Skype call their mother together. He's even offered to help her in the drama club, mainly for funding. Once, he offered her to come with him on vacation to visit Germany however the moment passed and he very embarrassingly collected himself and stalked away.

All in all, Isaak had grown since his time here. He still doesn't like everyone but he doesn't hate them. He may even have a friend or two.

Four months. Has it really been that long? Time had flown by at Hawthorne, and it seemed the months had passed in just the course of a few days.

(Bahaha. Aren't I clever?)

Cylva had kept a fairly low profile at the school, keeping her personal ties few and far between, just the way she liked them. Her and Lyra, her collaboration partner, had what appeared to be a rock-solid friendship, considering the other girl had nearly accidentally maimed, and/or murdered her multiple times. Accidentally. Did I mention it was unintentional?

@Rai-Chan

(Sorry for the awesomely stupid pun. Feeling rather silly, at the moment. :P )

Cylva's powers had been developing nicely. She was able to completely coat her body in the crystal she was able to manipulate, and working with other students, take advantage of it's cohesiveness with other elements of the world. She'd learned how to fire the crystals as projectiles, but was still quite a way away from being able to use it as an effective form of combat. She had, however, finally managed to ditch the idea of just hiding her powers, and returning to a "normal" society. This was normal now. When the time had come to decide whether or not she would be returning home for the winter break, she'd almost decided to, but in the end, hadn't even mentioned to her mother, the fact that it was an option. Instead, she elected to stay at the school with the few friends she had, and share the joys of the holiday break at Hawthorne, where she was free to use her powers in non-destructive ways.

Aside from Lyra, there were few people Cylva frequently associated with. Her and Kahra were definitely friendly, though neither one of them seemed to go too far out of their way to make plans with the other.

Cylva had met most of the students of the school in passing, but due to her somewhat introverted personality, didn't truly take to many of them. The obvious exception to this rule was Gwen. The two of them were nearly inseparable by this point, having become best friends rather quickly, likely due to the nature of their lack of control over their powers at the beginning of the semester. It was nice to have someone Cylva felt like she could talk to, about nearly anything, and know that the information wouldn't travel any further than the one set of ears. The only thing she didn't disclose to her close friend, was the details of what had caused the awkward situation between herself, and Gwen's older(?) brother, Geno.

@Kriyze

She kept in touch with Anthony, as well, and the two exchanged test messages rather frequently. He was a good friend, and definitely quite thoughtful, often giving him small trinkets he had created with his abilities. Though the two didn't frequently meet up, in part, at least, due to Gwen's seeming strong dislike of the boy, and vice-versa, she was happy to have him as a friend.

@Holo

Geno... well. That was an awkward story to tell. Suffice to say, Cylva had horribly misconstrued what their "first date", AKA, training session, had entailed. The result was VERY infrequent contact between the two of them. Cylva had, only about a month earlier, dived headfirst into a bush, to avoid possibly being forced into a conversation with the boy. While she didn't harbor any ill feelings for the boy, there wasn't anything else that needed to be said. Or anything that could be said, given the petrifying fear that overcame her whenever she crossed paths with him. Typically, the only time they really even acknowledged one another anymore was if they happened to cross paths when associating with Gwen. Now and again, Cylva would manage an awkward "hi", though more often than not, she was too busy trying to avoid his gaze, and blushing furiously to manage even that much.

@Kriyze

(I think that about sums it up. If I missed anyone who feels I should acknowledge them, or if anyone would like to be friends, not BFFs, that role's already taken. @Kriyze, enemies, etc. let me know. :P

~Kahra~

As Kahra felt Aleks's arms wrap around her, there was a moment of security, but it shortly ended as she could feel her boyfriend falling back, and, of course, she was dragged down with him. Kahra squeezed her eyes shut and braced for impact, but was slightly shocked when she felt her lips press against something soft and warm. The girl's eyes fluttered open, and then widened to see Aleksander staring right back at her. It took her a moment to process what had just happened, but eventually, she realized that her mouth was on his.

Their first kiss. Oh, could it be any more romantic?

Kahra slowly pulled back, and then remembered how horribly sick she was. Her face turned bright red, and she quickly rolled off of him, squeaking, "Aleks, I'm so sorry! Oh my goodness, I probably just gave you all of my--"

She broke out into a fit of coughs, violently hunching forward as they came.

[Aleks Denucio]

Aleks kept staring up as Kahra rolled off him. The clouds looked quite nice today. Besides that, Kahra and Aleks just had their first kiss. That was pretty good too. More than good, why was Aleks still on the ground? He wasn't sure. Probably shock. He slowly sat up and stared at Kahra. She sure was cute today. She started to cough violently snapping him out of his dazed lovey dovey state.

He quickly got up and stood next to her, looking concerned.

"I knew you should've stayed in bed! Come on, you sound horrible. Let's get back to your dorm." Aleks said, smiling at her.

~Kahra~

"I'm fine!" the girl croaked in between coughs, standing up. As she recomposed herself, she sniffled and pulled a loose tissue from her pocket and dabbed at her watering eyes. She smiled up at him and said, "All better! But you. . .geez, you're probably going to come down with something because of me! And you're leaving for Italy in the morning, too. . .I just. . .I wanted to spend as much time with you as I could before you left."

She stuck out her bottom lip, and then slipped her arms around his waist, resting her head on his chest. She didn't want him to go. . .well, not without her, at least. Of course, if was only for a few weeks, and they'd be able to Skype and everything. . .but she was going back home herself, and that was going to be anything but pleasant. Kahra loved her parents, but she couldn't help be feel worried that they might've developed the same fear they had of Kinya. . .of her.

As the snow started to fall heavier, Kahra tightened her arms around Aleks and shivered. She looked up at him and laughed sheepishly, saying, "How about we just play some board games in the commons?"

(noun

a designated area in a school where students can relax.)

Mars shivered as the final bell of the semester rang, slowly packing his things back into his bag. He always found it quite sad whenever a semester ended, this one in particular. He had learned so much interesting history as well as greatly improved on his fighting techniques. Creating ice wasn't an issue for the boy anymore, and could freeze things quite quickly, including the air to an extent, allowing for much more efficient ice barriers. Of course, in this type of weather it seemed almost comical to make things even colder. Mars himself could barely stand the cold, and he was wrapped up in a fur-lined black coat with two shirts on and the leather gloves he often used for combat adorning his hands. It was most likely due to the nature of his powers and how his body adapted to withstand extremely warm temperatures and ignored cold ones that he was so susceptible to the cold, even inside. Still, it was better than years before, as he was only wearing one coat instead of two and two shirts instead of six, so he assumed he was now gaining an immunity to the cold because of his work with the cold. Couldn't come any sooner if you asked him.

He looked up from his slow process of packing up at Lyra as she glanced back at him and gave the best smile he could before going back to putting his things away and being cold. It was still a very strange thought to him. Just a few months ago they were simple friends who'd known each other for almost as long as he'd been going to the school, and now they were a couple and officially dating. The day when they had dinner together and he decided to tell her the feelings that had been plaguing her, though it took a bit of explaining to get what he was saying through to the girl, he was both surprised and ecstatic when Lyra said she felt the same. He was no longer bothered by this unusual feeling and just accepted the way his heart gleefully jumped. Things didn't change very much though, and they mostly acted the same with a few minor adjustments, but she was still his girlfriend, and that seemed to be enough.

Girlfriend. What exactly did that word mean? Though he was decently fine with the idea of little change besides a title, it still bothered him to a degree. What was the point in them 'dating' if nothing changed? Was he not doing something right? With his lack of knowledge on the subject, he eventually went to Maria, the long living love guru as he jokingly called her, for romantic advice after learning of her extended lifespan and experience. He'd ask for how to approach the relationship he was in and, though he was stubborn at times, eventually he became semi-adequate in the concept of love. There were a few things that he still didn't do which she suggested, but he was slowly opening up for suggestions, and now paid for his meal and 10% of Lyra's when they went to eat despite his belief that everyone should pay for their own food. Other than Romantic help, Mars found Maria genuinely interesting and would sometimes just chat about random topics.

(@magikarpfever )

There were quite a few other developments in his relationship with other people that he found noteworthy over the semester. Him and Kahra had been getting along pretty well as a team as well as friends in general. They'd been sharing many things with each other just like he suggested the first time they met, and Mars even gifted her with a copy of his battle notes for her birthday. She had been getting exceptionally better in his opinion and still had a lot of potential, so he trusted her with something he'd never shown anyone before. There was also her boyfriend, Aleks (@Kriyze ), his roommate who had quickly gotten onto Mars' bad side. After blowing off Mars' attempts to learn more about the boys powers so he could add him to his list, plus the way Geno seemed completely uninterested in him gave Mars the impression that Geno believed he was better than him. He was fine with a little competition, but when someone popped up and claimed they were the best without much proof, it didn't slide well with Mars, and he made sure to prove at every opportunity that there was no being better than him.

Mars looked up at Lyra as she called him by the nickname she'd always given him and suggested a snowball fight. Throwing snow definitely didn't seem like a good idea to him. He didn't have a cold per se as he had an unusually strong immune system, but the weather was still cold. Sure, he could use his powers to heat himself up, but that would cause too many bad side effects, such as mildly burning everything he touched. During a fight he had no problems lighting himself and the environment on fire, but it wasn't the brightest idea outside of that. Still, it wasn't the worst idea he'd ever heard, just that it probably wouldn't be possible since he was colder than usual.Still mildly shivering, he leaned forward and pecked her gently on the cheek with a kiss, which he heard was a good thing to do when about to say something that went against the other person, and flashed an apologetic smile.

"I'm sorry, but I don't think I could handle the intensity of having freezing snow thrown at me today. It's been unusually cold today and I'm absolutely freezing. We could still hang around outside and do other things with snow, just not throwing it. And besides," he continued with a playful tone in his voice, "it's not a snowball fight if one person is continuously pelted while the other is only mildly hit. I'm just too good for it to be any fun anyways." He laughed shortly at his own joke about his ego, stopping to resume shivering.

~Lyra~

"...it's not a snowball fight if one person is continuously pelted while the other is only mildly hit. I'm just too good for it to be any fun anyways."

Lyra raised an eyebrow, a smile playing across her lips as she asked, "Don't underestimate my power, young padawan. . .but alright. We can get some hot chocolate in the commons and snuggle or something cheesy like that. . .I wanna spend as much time as possible with my Mars before I leave tomorrow."

Lyra was going to be flying to Germany the very next morning with Isaak for Christmas break. This was the first year that Lyra, Isaak, their mother, Lyra's father, and Isaak's father were going to be spending the holidays together like one big family. The girl was pretty excited about it, but she didn't like the idea of being away from Mars, even if it was only for a few weeks. Leaning forward, Lyra planted a soft, sweet kiss on the boy's lips. A light blush graced her cheeks as she pulled back, and she let out a small laugh, saying, "Be expecting a lot more of that. I want to get my fix of kisses before I leave, alright?"

The final bell of the day rang, and Tekis got up and walked to his dorm room to pack up. Over all ready? Time flew by really quickly. Well, maybe that's because I only ever spoke to 3 people, and ignored the rest. Smooth Tekis.... Smooth.... Dumbass. As he packed his bag, Tekis looked through the window, where he could see snow far as the eye could see. Snowflakes, floating down from the sky, the disappearing once they hit the ground. This snowy scene reminds me the days of when I was a child, when I was actually happy. The old man taught me to unlock my power. Every day, on a snowy day similar to this one. He would tell me to come out side; and train me. I need to feel something... It's been TOO long since I felt something, packing can wait.

Tekis throws his unpacked bag on his bed, locks the door and walks outside. He does not need a coat or any warm clothing other than his shirt; as he is used to the cold back in Eastern Europe. He walks to a wall, lays back on it, and closes his eyes.

FLASHBACK:

"You can do it boy! I believe in you!" an old kind voice encouraged young little Tekis. "I can't!! It's too cold, I'll freeze to death!!" little Tekis whimpered as he was sitting on snow only in shorts. "Just close your eyes, and think deeply, try to unlock the hidden part of your mind, and you will thank me later!" The old man responded. "B- Bu- But, I d-d-don't know i-i-if I c-c-can do this!!" Tekis stuttered in the cold. "Tell ya what boy, if you do this for 3 hours, I will make you my famous hot chocolate with the special marshmallows?" The old man smiled gently. "YAY!!! I'm going to do it now! Just watch me!" Tekis shouted, determined to do this task; he was all fired up.

OUT OF FLASHBACK:

Tekis eyes opened quickly, realising where he was. He takes out a cigarette, lights it, and wonders. I was feeling multiple things back then... Now I can't feel anything but anger. Tekis sighed, he looked up at the sky as the snowflakes slowly descended onto the ground. He stopped resting on the wall and walked up to the snow. I want to take this opportunity to train once more... In this school. But not like they teach me. For this last meditation; I'll meditate like the old man taught me... Tekis removed his shirt and neatly folded it up next to him. He sat down and began to meditate as the smoke of the cigarette slowly drifted towards the sky. I don't care who sees me, or my scars... I just want to feel like I felt all those years ago...

Events over the Timeskip

The Irishman became more erratic as the months moved on, the voices increasing in number but decreasing in the amount the actually conversed inside his head. Due to meditation taking place, he gained various new abilities thanks to isolating himself away from the rest of the other students. These included the ability to see clearly in the dark, shroud himself so that he blends in the with the shade itself. But, as his power developed the use of during the daytime reduced to naught. A troublesome result of course but something he could live with, it only played to what it was all about.

Luke over the past few months had become very friendly with Maria Scarlette, finding her power and astounding to be something that fascinated him up until now. The questions would never cease whenever he was in his sight, although he felt that he was a bit of a hindrance to her but he couldn't help it; being alone all the time wasn't all it cracked up to be.

[Aleksander Denucio]

Aleks patted Kahra's head and hugged her.

"You don't have to worry about me. It's my job to worry about others." Aleks joked and smiled at her. He took her hand and gave it a loving squeeze. "Hey, don't worry about it. You know I wanted to spend as much time as I could with you too. Besides, I'll only be gone for a couple of weeks then I'll be back here to spend time with my awesome girlfriend."

Going back would be a very awesome experience for him. He had not seen his Mama or Papa for so long and even though he called them every night, it would be good to see their faces again. He would use Skype but even though Kahra and Lyra desperately tried to teach him how to use it, he never did figure it out. He wasn't good with technology.

"How about we just go play some board games in the commons?"

Aleks smiled and wiped the snow off Kahra's hair. He nodded.

"Yeah, we should get inside before we both freeze to death!"

@Rai\-Chan

Geno sat on his bed with his hands folded, staring blankly at the floor in front of him. The lights were off, and the only thing illuminating the room was the whitish grey light from the sky outside. Gwen stood by the window, leaning on her hands against the windowsill. The entire window was fogged due to her high body temperature, and the rest of the room was also rather quite hot. Gwen had called him, saying she wanted to talk. Geno figured what it was about, but he didn't really want to get afflicted by her depression. Rejecting Gwen was hard though, so he still invited her in. Mars had already left. It never seemed like he wanted to stick around for long. The dorm room had always been a bit more of Geno's place, since Mars was never there. Geno had planned to go around saying goodbye's and thank you's to friends and teachers, but this halted that. Maybe he'd have time later.

Gwen stared blankly at a pile of snow. Not that she knew, mind you, the window stopped being see-through as soon as she got within 3 meters of it. The silence in the room was so thick it could be cut with a knife, and Gwen felt heat behind her eyes. She turned around abruptly, and broke the silence. "We're going to have to go home." Geno didn't move a muscle. It was as he expected. She'd started feeling like him about their family. "I know." Gwen looked at him, and felt a painful bump in her throat. "I don't want to go home." Geno looked up from the floor, to his sister. ".. I know." "Dad's going to shun me. I probably won't even get a seat at the main table." "... I know." "Can you say anything but 'I know'? I know you know! You've always had it this way! How did you make it through!?" Gwen couldn't hold it back anymore. The tears started running from her eyes. She felt so empty inside. She would have to leave the school behind. Even if just for a short moment. And she almost felt scared about going back home.

Geno didn't know how to respond. He'd always hated it, every moment he'd have to spend with his family. His siblings being praised for nothing, just because they were normal. Him, being shunned just for having strange eyes. His mother not being able to even look at him. His dad dealing in business less legal than murder. "I.. I don't know." Gwen approached him, and for a moment it looked like she was going to hit him, but halfway through the motion she stopped. Instead, she leaned forward and hugged him. This caught him off-guard, and he flinched. He wasn't used to getting into physical contact with anyone, and despite being the only sibling Geno didn't hate, Gwen had always kept a little distance away from him. Nontheless, he returned the hug. "We'll be fine, right? We'll just get back here as soon as possible!" "... Yeah."

--------------------------------------------- Gwendolyn Friar ---------------------------------------------

Gwen left Geno's room as soon as her tears dried, which happened very fast due to her high body temperature. Walking through the halls she giggled at the fact that every window she passed fogged up. She felt childish for laughing at her own mental jokes, but she could finally consider herself 'hot'. She was still dressed like it was just autumn, with jeans, a t-shirt, and a cardigan. When she walked outside steam rose from her skin. It must look like she was freezing to death, but it didn't even feel chilly. Talking to Geno, even though he barely responded, made her feel better. She had already packed her thigns, so she could do whatever now. She probably shouldn't stick to her anxiety about what was going to happen, and instead say goodbye to her friends. At the thought of 'friend' her mind instantly jumped to Cylva. Wonder what Cylva was doing? She quickly fished her her phone out of her pocket, and sent her a text.

To: SexyCylva<3 (OOC: Omg, I just wrote that *popping noises when blood vessels explode*)

Girl, what are you doing? I ain't got no time for you hanging out with anyone else on the last day of this semester! WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING. Meet me by the benches outside the dorms. Now.

Click. And off the message went. Gwen smirked at her writing. She always wrote texts so weirdly. She sat down on the bench, and all the snow quickly melted and steamed off. Looking at everyone else walking around in heavy clothes, seeing the snow fall, actually being in a happy mood.. Gwen smiled, it was almost like she had christmas spirit. She thought about texting Calista and Kahra too, but they all had boyfriends. Lame. Come to think of it, didn't Geno have a girlfriend too? Man. Mars and Lyra we're a couple of lovebirds as well, but they usually didn't get so icky about it. She contemplated it for a second, then brought up her phone again.

To: Saturn- I mean Mars

There's no way you're not with Lyra right now, so get her and come over here. Dagnabbit, it's the last day, we've got to do something fun!

She always gave names to people on her phone. She laughed at her own awful joke on Mars. She amused herself.

--------------------------------------------- Ambrogino Friar ---------------------------------------------

He sat on the bed of his room after Gwen left. Despite trying to get out of it, seeing Gwen as upset as he used to be, it woke up old feelings. He felt cold. He was going to have to meet with his father again. Even though he knew it was silly, his father a deep psychological grip on him. Thinking about it made him angry, and he clenched his fists hard. He didn't stop until a drop of black blood ran down the side of his hand. He sighed, and calmed down. "What am I doing?" He quietly said to himself. He needed to find something to do. He picked up his phone and scrolled through the contacts. It made him smile. Just five months ago this was almost empty, but he'd gotten to know all these new people here. He stopped at the name Rafaela da Silva Santos. He always entered people's full name so he could always know who they were. His finger closed in on the call button, but at the last second he stopped.

He loved her, he truly did, but he still thought it was a bit awkward. He stuffed the phone back into his pocket and left the dorms. He'd always been pretty resistant against temperature differences, but today was particularly cold. He still refused to wear anything more than a thick cardigan and a scarf.
2014-brand-men-s-sweater-thick-cardigans-wool-cotton-coat-black-blue-khaki-gray-big-size.jpg

He was going to catch a cold, wasn't he? Ough, nevermind. He walked through the snow outside. Something about the atmosphere was nice. Christmas spirit? It was a long time ago he felt that. Long time. He thought he spotted a couple of familiar faces far away though, and headed over. Kahra and Aleks were hanging out. It reminded him of Raph, and he felt a little guilty for not calling her. Well, she was usually the one to call him anyway, and that's what he loved her for. Her extraverted demeanour was amazing. He contemplated whether to approach Aleks and Kahra or not. Maybe they wanted to be on their own?.. He'd have to ask, he supposed.

He walked up to them, and greeted them with a wave and a small true smile. "Hey. You guys feeling alright?" He stopped about 2 meters away, and looked between both of them. "Do you wanna be alone on the last day of school?" It was definitely an understandable thing if that was the case. Geno felt uncomfortable invading their space if that's what they wanted.

Damn, it's cold. This was the 10th time that that thought crossed her mind. She was freezing, and she couldn't concentrate on her last class of the year because of the thought that haunted her brain. Pushing it aside, she started to think about everything that happened in these four last months. She still wasn't really close to a lot of students, but there's one in particular. Geno.

Well, that was something new for Rafaela. Love. She wasn't really used to the term. Love was something she saw back in Brazil, while sitting on her mother's laps and watching bad soap operas. It was cheesy. But she liked it.

Raph knew Geno was someone special when she first met him. He didn't look at her like she was crazy, no. Even though, well, they were at an Academy of gifted people. But still, it made her feel good. Really good. And his calm demeanor was everything she needed. It's like they just... Completed each other. Just like that. She wasn't gonna lie, she was starting to like this whole
love thing. She was starting to love it. (@Kriyze )

There was that girl Cylvaara as well, at first Raph didn't had any problems with her, but since Tom, her pigeon, explained to her what exactly happened back in the dining hall, it got a little awkward. (
@AshenLily)

Oh, and Isaak was still an annoying richass, though Raph was trying to see him with different eyes and give the guy a second chance. It did seem like he was getting better at socializing. That's good. (
@Akihito)

Suddenly, the sound of the bell pulled Rafaela out of her thoughts.
It's over. It's finally over. She gathered her things and dashed quickly out of the classroom, going towards the dining hall. It was her favorite place of the Academy. She pulled out her phone and started to scroll through the contacts, stopping at GenoBaby. She grinned widely as she started to write a text. She didn't know if he was busy at the moment, so she just contented herself with a text.

To: GenoBaby

ITS OOOOOOOVER. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS? MORE TIME TO SLEEP. And of course, to us. BUT DO YOU KNOW WHAT COULD MAKE IT BETTER? IF I WASN'T FREEZING MY TITS OFF. ITS FREAKING COLD! HOW DO YOU GUYS MAKE IT? SHIT. I JUST SNEEZED. IM DYING.

Oh, I'm at the dining hall right now. I'm cheating on you with a mug of hot chocolate, if you can make it in time I might let this become a threesome. Your choice.

;)

Raph grinned even more as she hit the Send button and took a sip of her hot chocolate. However, her grin was slowly disappearing as she thought about what to do on this break. She didn't have anywhere to go. Of course, there was that idea but... Raph didn't know if it would be worth it. She frowned as she took another sip of the mug.

Emma Farris

Months had passed by way to quickly and now it was freezing. Over this time, her curse began to fade away and finally look like a normal girl again. When she had found out about this, she told her professor -who obviously was the paniced old man- and he seemed surprised as well. After a while of having the blindfold off, she noticed that her curse was never ever coming back again. And this made her cry tears of joy. Now people could see her and not think she was some freak.

She sat outside, looking at the snow as she was snuggled in her coat, scarf and hat as well as gloves. Her boots sat in the snow and she sat on the stairs of the dorm. Watching as some flakes began to fall "I can finally see everything now...thats all that matters to me and now...I can never let my partner down." she told herself, giggling softly. She missed Nichole though since Emma felt like a idiot for pushing her away when she wanted help. That also reminded her that she didnt find her knight in shining armor where he saved her from the group that had bullied her "...I wonder who he was..."

~Kahra~

Kahra grinned as Aleks gently smoothed her hair and obliged to going inside. She pulled her hand from his, and then lovingly hugged his arm as she started to walk towards the commons. As the semester went on, the commons became the most popular hangout on campus. There was a big, flatscreen T.V and a few old game consoles, a huge stack of board games (that usually remained untouched), a small kitchen, a cupboard full of snacks, a ping-pong table. . .it was a pretty cool spot for students to do homework or just unwind. She and Aleks had both spent a lot of time there together.

"Ohh, the weather outside is frightful!" Kahra burst, her voice slightly raspy from her cold. "But the fire is sooooo delightful!"

The girl grinned up at Aleks, and, unfortunately for him, started to dance with him. She twirled herself under his arm, and continued.

"But we've got no place to goooo! Let it snow, let it snow, LET IT SNOOOOW!"

"Hey. You guys feeling alright? Do you wanna be alone on the last day of school?"

Kahra shrieked, leaping back as Geno was suddenly standing right there.

"O-o-o-o-oh, HI Geno!" she stuttered, praying that he hadn't seen her performance. . .but who was she kidding.

(Attention! The plot is going to get started TOMORROW when I wake up!)

Girl, what are you doing? I ain't got no time for you hanging out with anyone else on the last day of this semester! WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING. Meet me by the benches outside the dorms. Now.

Cylva laughed as she read her friend's text. Gwen was usually a bit strange when it came to communicating via text message, but it was another of the girl's traits she found particularly endearing. She closed her bag, still a little irritated that she was going to have to go home for the winter break. She'd planned on staying here, but those plans had fallen through. Her mother had, of course, been overjoyed at the fact that she would be returning home for the break, but Cylva wasn't quite so thrilled. Although admittedly, she had missed her mother quite a bit in the passing months.

To: Gwen (Yes. That's it. Just Gwen.)

Hiya! Just finished packing. Sounds great! I'll be there in five!

Click. The text went. Cylva slid her phone back into her pocket, and placed her most recent journal in her bag, buckling it closed. Setting it on her bed, she examined herself in the mirror. Today was a turtle neck and jeans day. Though she'd bought more 'normal' clothes over the last few months, it was rather cold today, and she decided it would probably be best. Of course, hanging out with Gwen, she didn't typically get too cold, anyway, given the fact that the girl constantly radiated adequate amounts of heat.

Approaching the bench, Cylva laughed as she saw it was completely dry. Not a single trace of snow covered any part of the bench, while the rest of the world around them was blanketed in a deep, white blanket. She offered an excited wave as she drew nearer. "Hey, Gwen!" Cylva shivered slightly. It was really cold. She ran up to the bench, and quickly slid onto it, alongside her friend, wrapping Gwen in a deep hug. "Excited to go home for the break?" Her voice dripping with sarcasm, she laughed, fairly sure she'd already known the girl's answer before even asking the question. Not waiting for a response, she continued. "My mother's being alllllll sorts of weird. She's really excited..." her voice trailed off, and she reached up to brush a lock of her pale-colored hair out of her face. What am I going to do? Cylva's mother had recently revealed that she'd begun a relationship with some guy. As much as she didn't want to go home, she really didn't want to have to share her mother with anyone.

Now's not the time to dwell on personal issues, Cylva. She quickly snapped out of her funk and looked up at Gwen, forcing a smile. "So? How about it? Aren't you just dying to go back home?"

@Kriyze

Mars gently smiled at Lyra's suggestion to go to the commons to just hang around. It was weird. A few months ago he'd have wanted to do some extra combat training or read up on some old history or work on the big detective case his father sent him (He still hadn't solved it yet, though he believes he's only a few hours away from figuring it out), but ever since Lyra and him started dating he started doing all those things a whole lot less. He still did all of that more than normal people, but not to his previous extremes. Simply hanging around seemed like a great time now. As he was about to speak, he felt Lyra softly kiss him on the lips, causing his face to heat up mildly.

"Be expecting a lot more of that. I want to get my fix of kisses before I leave, alright?"

Mars chuckled, letting a grin spread across his face. "Oh really? Maybe I should start putting a price on them. $5 per kiss, $10 on the lips. They're a premium product, you know." He suddenly felt his phone vibrate in his pocket, and after raising a finger to indicate it will only be a moment, he flipped it open to check out the text.

To: Saturn- I mean Mars

There's no way you're not with Lyra right now, so get her and come over here. Dagnabbit, it's the last day, we've got to do something fun!

He inwardly laughed slightly after reading the message. Saturn was the Roman god of agriculture, but Mars was pretty sure that Gwen wasn't referring to the god and instead the planet. Whatever the case, it seemed that he and Lyra would have something to do for the day, though Gwen didn't exactly where here was. Mars flipped his phone around and showed the text to Lyra. "Seems Gwen wants us to hang out with her. Have any idea where she might be?"

Aleks smiled as Kahra sang in her weird but cute voice. He walked with her toward the commons when a voice spoke.

"Hey. You guys feeling alright? Do you wanna be alone on the last day of school?"

He turned to see Geno, speaking to them. Aleks gave a warm smile to him.

"Hello Geno! I'm glad I got to see you before we all head out. I'm feeling fine although Kahra is still sick. I don't mind spending sometime with our good friend, do you Kahra?"
