Fantasy Hawthorne Academy

~Lyra~

Lyra nervously pulled at the ruffles of her dress as people didn't immediately bid on her. She bowed her head and clenched her teeth slightly...geez, why was she getting so upset over this? All of the big spenders had already bid on the other girls, it really was no surprise that nobody was bidding on Lyra. She found herself thinking about being all alone, cleaning up the mess from the tea-party while everyone else went on their dates and enjoyed their Saturday. Of course, even if someone did bid on her, she'd be stuck with clean up...Lyra sighed. First, waking up super early to greet everybody at the gates of the school, going to classes, and staying up all night to set up the tea-party. If someone ended up bidding on her, she'd be going on a date and being up until midnight, and then cleaning up the mess of the tea-party, which would force her to pull another all-nighter. Could she survive staying up a full 48 hours without sleep? Should she just quit now?

No. She had made a commitment. Even if nobody bid on her...

"Lyra Connerson! One thousand dollars!!"

Lyra' head snapped up, her eyes wide. She knew whose voice that was...hell, that accent could only be one person. Yet she felt the need to scan the audience to see if it was really him. Her stomach flip-flopped when she saw Johnathon had risen to his feet. One thousand dollars? For her? She wanted so badly to yell back at him to save his money, that she wasn't worth that much - and then she realized there was probably another motive. Maybe he didn't want to seem cheap...maybe he was just being nice and saving Lyra the humiliation of not being bid on. Suddenly, all of the bad things that came after going on a date faded from Lyra's mind.

"TWO thousand dollars!"

Lyra nearly choked on her own spit. Of course, these sums weren't nearly as high as the bids before her, but the President was just amazed that SOMEHOW had offered so much. No. She was amazed that Johnathon had offered so much...and for HER!

After it was obvious that nobody else was bidding, Lyra found herself yelling, "SOLD!" before Mars or Blake had the chance to. She hopped off the stage, and then swallowed. Oh no, she looked to eager. Lyra walked a little bit slower on her way to Johnathon, and laughed sheepishly, "Thank you. I don't know what would have happened if nobody bid on me...humiliations galore, heh..."

Then it hit her.

Where was Miss Weatherstone? Lyra didn't hear the woman make her introduction, and Xavier was sitting at the edge of his seat, check in hand...probably a ridiculous amount that would top absolutely everyone elses. Her was leaning forward, staring at the empty stage and waiting for Kinya to come out...Lyra's eyes drifted over to the dress table to see the Headmistress's costume flung carelessly onto it.

"Oh no." Lyra muttered under her breath. The Headmistress had escaped.

~Headmistress Kinya Weatherstone/Professor Crysta Chime/Professor Liam DiFranco/Professor Xavier Caige/Professor Giovia Eriwind~

Kinya had managed to slip away from the auction while the other girls were up onstage. Thankfully, she was wearing her normal clothes underneath that abomination of a dress, so she was able to pull it over her head and throw it back on the table from which it came. She cursed it, even. That was a hideous dress, to say the least.

It didn't take long at all for the Headmistress to reach her office, as it was on the top floor of the main hall. She held the key to the room in her hand for a moment, running her gloved thumb along the elaborate designs...maybe she should have stayed at the auction. Lyra had been counting on her, and so had Xavier, no doubt...but she'd apologize to them later.

Kinya quickly unlocked the door and slipped inside, dropping the key back into her pocket. As she looked at, a piercing shriek that she hardly recognized as her own rang through the air.

Theodore, dead, a long claw with some sort of rope tied at the end of it...thrust through the little creature's small body. He hung from the ceiling, unmoving, only inches from the Headmistress's face. Kinya stumbled back against the door, slamming it shut as she did. She firmly held a hand to her neck to force down the vomit she could feel rising in her throat. It was absolutely silent, other than the occasion drip of blood splashing onto the wooden floor. She felt her vision blur as tears bubbled in her eyes. She let out a pain-filled scream and dropped to her knees as they did, covering her eyes with the palms of her hands. The acidic tear-drops rolled down her cheeks, hissing as they did. She clenched her teeth, trying to force herself to stop crying. Each droplet that fell from her eye left a scorching red mark on her cheek, and each one that dripped onto the floor burned a hole through the wood.

Kinya looked up, her eyes bloodshot and full of rage.

"Kinya!? Kinya what happened?!"

The door swung up, just barely missing the Headmistress on the floor. Crysta was silent for a moment, and placed a hand over her mouth...and then her head. She quietly closed the door, and slowly reached down to Kinya. She was about to place a hand on the Headmistress's shoulder, but drew back when she hissed, "Don't touch me! DON'T TOUCH ME!"

Crysta took a long pause, and then knelt down beside the hysterical woman. It might've seemed like she was perfectly calm, but really, Crysta was about as uneasy as she'd ever been. There was such...evil in the room.

"...who did this?"

Crysta didn't turn towards the Headmistress, and didn't speak for a moment. She hugged her arms and frowned.

"WHO DID THIS, CRYSTA?!"

There was another pause, and Crysta let out a short sigh.

"We must gather the other professors at once." she said quietly, rising to her feet. Kinya stayed on the floor, pulling at her hair as she gently rocked herself back and forth. Crysta quickly pulled out her phone, fumbling slightly with it as she shot out the urgent text.

To: Professor Xavier Caige, Professor Giovia Eriwind, Professor Liam DiFranco

Subject: (no subject)

hurry to kinyas office. emergency. fears have been confirmed. urgent. hurry.

Crysta placed the phone of the table, and sighed at Kinya once again. The Professor carefully sidled around the dead creature and to Kinya's desk, where she easily found a pair of scissors. Crysta easily cut the rope that was hanging the poor creature, and then she quickly moved it to the Headmistress's desk. Where else could she put it? Crysta gently ran her fingers along the claw that ran through the small, purple furred monster...she didn't know what kind of creature would have such a claw. The only thing she knew...was that this was meant to be a warning.

Crysta turned back towards Kinya, who was shaking far worse now. The woman could sense that the Headmistress had a very special relationship with the small monster...

"Come, Kinya. Let's move to the sofa, alright?"

Crysta practically lifted up the woman, who was no longer resisting her touch, and helped her over to the sofa. Kinya flopped down onto it, placing her head on her knees as she whimpered quietly.

"Crysta! I got your message! What's wrong!?"

Crysta spun around to see Liam bursting through the door. He was asking a million questions, most of which Crysta couldn't even understand...he fell silent as he saw the creature sprawled across Kinya's desk. He sucked in his cheeks, and slowly approached the creature. He touched the claw just like Crysta had, and shook his head.

"Where did you find this..."

Crysta pointed towards the door and said, "It was hanging right in front of the door. I was on my way back to the tea-party when I sensed something...wrong here. I was rushing upstairs when I heard Kinya scream. I came in. She was on the floor, and this poor creature was only inches from my face."

Liam was silent for a moment, and bowed his head. He turned back to face Crysta and said, "I don't know what kind of creature would have claws this big and be able to slip into a locked office unnoticed to hang a creature. Most monsters don't have the mental ability."

"...maybe it wasn't the creature who that claw belongs to."

Crysta and Liam both turned towards Kinya, who seemed to be calming down. She sighed and rubbed her eyes, leaving red burns on her hands. She stood up, and continued, "Maybe someone...or something took the claw by force to kill Theodore - I mean, the purple...thing...with?"

Liam thought for a moment, scratching his chin. He shook his head and mumbled, "It's feasible, but why would someone go out of their way to get a claw like this when they could use a simple knife? I'd say slaying a monster like this is a lot of trouble to go through to kill such a small creature."

"What if the claw means something, then?" Crysta interjected. "What if it's meant to represent something?"

Liam exhaled heavily as he plopped down in the arm-chair across from Kinya. He rubbed her temples, deep in thought, and asked, "But what would it represent?"

That's when Xavier and Giovia both burst into the room. Giovia was seemingly calm, though you could see traces of worry touching her face. Xavier was the same, until her saw Kinya. With a few long steps, he had knelt beside her. Crysta had once again turned to examine the creature.

"Kinya? Kinya what's happened? Y-your eyes..."

"Liam, do you want to explain what the hell is going on here?"

"Um, well..."

"What happened to Kinya!?"

"I'm fine, Xavier."

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?"

Everyone was yelling over eachother as Crysta silently examined the creature. They only quieted when they heard the Professor's quiet mumbling...

"...purple...creature represents...Hawthorne...claw...represents...Otherworld...rope represents p-punishment..."

Liam narrowed his eyes and stood up once more, placing both of his hands on Crysta's shoulders. She was shaking, probably even worse than Kinya.

"...purple creature represents Hawthorne, the claw represents the Otherworld's...monsters...the rope represents punishment...I...I..."

She repeated the words over and over again, getting slightly clearer about what she was saying every time. Liam silently encouraged her, standing right behind her in case she fell.

Finally, the words escaped her lips. The ones that left every single person in the room with a sour taste in their mouth.

"The monsters of the Otherworld will enter Hawthorne...a-and we will be punished."

Blake shook his head at the ridiculous sums of money that was being called out, it was ludicrous, and how the students would throw thousands of dollars for one date with a total stranger. It was like they had TOO much money, so they decided to burn through all that cash by bidding on Lolita clothed girls. Now Blake might have had a slightly different opinion if those were Lolita clothed boys up there, but since they were girls Blake couldn't find the appeal and the reasoning behind any of this.

I wonder what it would be like if Shinji was up there...wait did I say Shinji!? I meant guys...not Shinji specifically!

Mentally smacking himself for that thought he was astonished when Mars bid five thousand on Veronica, of course Mars immediantly took it back, but that didn't mean Blake would give him mercy...not this time.

Should I have the bid at five thousand dollars? Why am I even bothering to ask myself this, of course I should!

With a mischievous glint in his eyes Blake looked at Mars and then Veronica.

"Five thousand dollars...going once...going twice...sold!"

Was Blake being a douche? Yes, did he care? Of course not!

However when Lyra was auctioned off Blake felt himself go rigid. He wasn't sure who bid on her but he had a feeling it was that Jonathon guy. His already low opinion of the on that guy was decreasing dramatically, even if they hadn't really met. By this point Blake was just being plainly overprotective, though like always he'd never admit it.

@cojemo @Sunasa

"Sold!"

The words struck Alain as he felt the pressure on him, eyes staring holes into his back like bullets and the angry glares just made it worse,"Did I do something wrong?" Alain thought confused why everyone was so mad at him but maybe it was because he bid with a higher amount then these guys. They can't blame him now, he had an aunt who was a nurse of a famous hospital, an uncle who was an inventor and from what his uncle said, his family was pretty high standard, their fortune granted on him since he was the only son of theirs or so his uncle said.

Getting up onto the stage was rough but Alain made it safely without getting jumped on, getting out his checkbook and scribbling in the number he owed,"Umm... May I ask who I bid on?" Alain asked confused, handing the smaller boy the check and looking around for who he must have bid on, seeing from the corner of his eye a girl with a cute blue dress on that matched her brilliantly sky-blue orbs,"Oh, is it her?" Alain asked glancing at the girl who hid at the back of the stage.

Shinji for a later time~

Calista still waiting

Geno raised an eyebrow. "Of course you may know my name. I'm Geno." Did he seem like the kind of guy who would be upset at such a question? Damnit, he didn't want that! "Calista? Oh. I think you're in my collab team. That's cool." He didn't know what else to say, and he just heard someone familiar shouting "2000 dollars." He sent a glance out into the crowd. Hopefully johnathon hadn't depleted all his cash with that. That would lead to a rather boring date, wouldn't it?

@DeijiiChan @Emperor Shadow IV

"Geno?... Wait..." Calista thought remembering she saw the name as one of her group, glancing up at him and about to speak but he took the words right out of her mouth,"A-ah... Y-yes I-i-i am." Calista responded looking down to her skirt and playing with her bow as he spoke of how cool it was, Calista embarrassed that her date was even her partner in class,"U-umm... T-thank y-y-you G-geno." Calista said but then heard shouting about huge amount of money, Calista astonished to see how many of the guys are now stepping up to use larger amounts,"W-wow... they really are something." Calista thought and glanced back at Geno with a worry look.

"S-so umm... S-shall we head off to our d-d-date b-but I m-mean... I-if you don't w-want to, i-it's fine!" Calista said trying to speak out her sentence properly to the best of her ability but it all came out in stutters, Calista hiding her bright red cheeks behind her hand,"S-sorry I-i'm like t-this... I-i'm new t-t-to this." Calista mumbled looking down to the ground in shame.

-Sorry it took me this long @~@-

@Kriyze

Geno looked back at Calista when she started talking again. "Ah, yeah. We should get going, I agree." His thoughts were a bit all over the place, so he shook his head. "Where do you want to go though? Anywhere you like. Anything at all." He turned from the stage and raised an arm for her to grab. That's what you did right? Walk with your arms together like that? Geno thought so. Sheesh. Crap memory.

Johnathon gulped immensely, wondering what he had just gotten himself into. He had been dense enough to jump the gun without first realizing the consequences. $1000 of his own, gone. That was a $1000 worth of hard earned cash that he wouldn't get back for a long time - not until he finished school at the Academy. Lyra was worth it though, right?

Lyra jumped off the stage and made her way towards John, eagerly at first, but then seemingly more collected and casual. Johnathon was progressively feeling a weight sink in his stomach, and with every step the girl took towards him, it only grew more dramatically. How could he help it, but negative thoughts began to accumulate in his subconscious. Such thoughts could be summarized by the previous day's concerns: Mars, namely, but also Lyra (and quite possibly the rest of the Student Body's) indifference towards him. Even now, John fostered the idea of Lyra and Mars planning for him to make such a bold bidding move and ultimately lure him into their trap. What could he say to her now?

"Thank you. I don't know what would have happened if nobody bid on me...humiliations galore, heh..."

Johnathon meant to launch to the defensive at this. However, a blush gracing his cheeks prevented him entirely from doing so. Perhaps a small pain of guilt stabbed him too as he saw Lyra up close, possessing that still refreshing, kind, and down-to-earth quality about her. It didn't seem possible for her to fake relief or happiness, as both emotions just felt so genuine coming from her.

And then there was that dress.

John cleared his throat, immediately overwhelmed by the girl's cuteness, his foolish actions, and the locking stares of those gathered around him. He had to pay up now too, he knew. Damn it all, he silently cursed, however still offering Lyra a sheepish smile in return to her laugh. "To be honest," he began, fumbling a little in sync with the heightened thickness of his accent, "I bid to save you from those other guys. There were so many around me and, eh . . . see, I . . . eh . . . I thought . . . " He hung his head, absently scratching the nape of his neck, then ruffling his hair. He cleared his throat. "I thought you might . . . might . . . well, would rather spend the day with someone you knew." Painfully Johnathon was aware how awkward and unnatural he sounded. But, his words were honest; the awkward, honest truth. "But at the same time," he continued on against his better judgment, "I didn't want you stuck with that guy." The indication of 'that' was made clear as John gestured towards Mars near the stage. Oh-h-h-h, boy, he thought, you've done it now, Johnathon.

He wanted to save the situation now, and so thinking quickly, Johnathon clenched both checks in his hand and said, "I-I better go and . . . eh, turn these in. Yeah." Offering a small wave to Lyra, he was off scampering toward Mars - checks in hand, and heart pounding. Parting with the money wouldn't be too difficult for him (half was Geno's anyways), yet nonetheless, it helped him to not focus on the amount in his hand and simply cherish the look on Mars' face. "Here you go," he said, outstretching his hand for the Treasurer to take. Still he kept a good distance from Mars though, mainly by instinct. Oh God, really . . . what have I gotten myself into?! It was only now, in the heat of the situation, did Johnathon really comprehend what was coming next. He was to go on a date - his first date!

@Rai-Chan @cojemo

~Lyra~

"To be honest, I bid to save you from those other guys. There were so many around me and, eh . . . see, I . . . eh . . . I thought . . . .I thought you might . . . might . . . well, would rather spend the day with someone you knew. But at the same time, I didn't want you stuck with that guy."

Lyra tilted her head as he spoke, her cheeks flushing slightly as he did. She was really going on a...date...with HIM. Of course, inside, she was absolutely ecstatic, but what if things got awkward? What if she did or said something that he considered...well...strange?

The President turned towards the stage where Mars was standing. She felt a smile twitch at the corners of her mouth as Johnathon stuttered. The girl was slightly put at ease seeing she wasn't the only one who was nervous. She shook her head and looked up at Johnathon once again, saying, "You're very sweet...and yes, spending the day with you - um, I mean...someone I know...yeah-ha-ha, that would be better, wouldn't it?"

"I-I better go and . . . eh, turn these in. Yeah."

Lyra nodded, and called after him, "I-I'm going to go change! I'll meet you back here in a flash!"

And with that, she grabbed what was left of her Mountain Dew supply, and booked it for her dorm. She hadn't set foot in her dorm for over 24 hours...how strange.

Lyra fumbled for the key for a few seconds before jamming the rigged piece of metal into its lock, twisting it around it emit a slight click. She stepped in, tossing her Mountain Dews onto her unmade bed and slung open the closet doors.

"What do I wear? What do I wear!?" she said over and over as she tore through every single article of clothing she owned. She wanted to be casual, but not too casual...but not be overdressed. Why was she overthinking it, it was just a date! It's not like they were going to a five star restaurant...

But how could she be sure they weren't?

"Oh, come ON, how is it that I have nothing to wear the ONE TIME I need something?!" she squeaked, tossing a shirt over her shoulder. She narrowed her eyes, and took a pause.

"It's just a date...besides, I should be able to where whatever the heck I want." she mumbled, tapping her foot slightly. She groaned, pulling the white dress over her head and disgarding it to the floor. She unlaced her boots, pulled off her socks, and took the white headband out of her hair.

Finally, after a few more minutes of rummaging, Lyra just decided on a pair of her most comfortable (but not exactly stylish) jeans, a form-fitting Beatles tee-shirt, and her white converse. She gave herself a quick once over in the mirror, and shrugged.

"Eh, not exactly runway worthy, but it's not like Johnathon will really care...let's just hope he wasn't planning anything..." she muttered, popping open two more Mountain Dews and sucking them down. She tossed the cans into the garbage, and head out the door. As she walked back to the tea-party, she quickly threw her hair into her usual pigtails.

"...geez, I need to try something else with my hair...oh well."

Nichole said"thanks onnii-chan. Sigh im just gonna go to the cafeteria or something. Cya later." Standing and walked off with her stuff. she went to go find and find someone to talk to. Nichole sighed and bit her lip.

Kouji walked to make a tart. He needed to do something to cheer himself up and grabbed some fresh fruit. He hummed and smiled.

It seemed she was to make a choice here as she felt her mind jumble up in a mess. She was pretty new to this place since she had only been here for a few weeks ever since she moved from her homeland, England, all the way to here just so she could attend this school but to be asked of where to go, Calista wasn't sure as she tried to think up a place,"U-umm... w-well I wouldn't m-mind where w-we go." Calista said not sure what to say since her knowledge of her surrounding was not as well as her knowledge for England.

Fiddling with her bow again, she glanced at Geno's arm as he held it out for her to take hold of, her face flushed in bright red as if it wasn't any redder than it was now. She have never done such a thing as locking arms besides Shinji, hesitating on what to do but she couldn't be rude to refuse and raised her hand to slip through his arm and wrap around it gently. The sight of the two together was adorable and Kuro saw it all as his jaw felt like dropping to the floor,"W-what is he doing to Calista?! T-they're being too lovey dovey here!" Kuro thought about to come out of his hiding and ruin their moment but he held back remembering that he was only here to watch her and protect her just in case Geno did anything funny.

Though Kuro liked Geno, he still had his doubts for people and this was the time for Kuro to have it now as he glared at Geno but as long as Geno kept his distance then Kuro was fine with whatever they did, his hazel eyes glowed in the shadows but luckily were hidden behind the many leaves of the bushes.

@Kriyze

She's going to go change . . . alright, Johnathon thought upon hearing Lyra's words. He wouldn't have minded if she stayed in her dress, but her own comfort certainly took precedence over anything else. Walking around all day in boots like that would not be such a good idea after all. Absently, as he briefly spoke to Mars, his gaze lingered for a moment over his own clothing - a dress t-shirt, slacks, sweater vest, and a loose tie. He simply shrugged, then after handing Mars the two checks, walked a few paces back to where Lyra and he had been standing. A date, he thought over and over again, scratching the hair off his head. What do you do on a date?!

Johnathon knew the basics of dating - going out to eat, doing something fun, buying a girl simple, yet endearing, items. However, once faced with it, the simplicity of a date suddenly blew up to be a far larger and more complicated predicament. His thoughts were beginning to spin rapidly around his head, weaving tangled knots of second guessed ideas, yielding nothing but the tasteless fruit of stress. "Dammit," John growled in his mouth. Out of habit, he reached into his pocket for a cigarette. Once lighted and clenched between his teeth, he could slump his shoulders and relax a bit. The stimulant aided in calming his mind and the panic that had overtaken it. Now, he exhaled heavily, then inhaled heavily, then exhaled heavily . . . Once the muscles of his body were moving in perfect rhythm with his breathing, Johnathon took each of his index fingers, massaging along his temples. Think clearly now, he breathed, exhaling heavily for the last time. Good, now . . . no. No, no, no . . . The thoughts and worries all at once came back in. Dammit! he thought. Why was he so scared? He answered his own question by shouting out loud, "Because you've never gone on a date before, idiot!"

He currently stood erectly, alone, on the school grounds not far from the stage, but he almost felt like stalking down Mars and asking for his money back. Of course he knew why that wasn't an option now, and with how happy Lyra had looked . . .

God, why, he whimpered inwardly, aware of a darling rosy blush kissing his cheeks. Did just thinking of Lyra's smile do that to him now?

He scratched the back of his neck, hissing through his teeth as he did so. He felt hopeless, embarrassed, yet at the same time . . . he felt giddy. There was excitement somewhere within him! It didn't take too long for him to realize it was more important to embrace that excitement than to rush ahead with all the greatest date plans in the world. Lyra and he would be alright. He could ask her first where she wanted to go, but as he anticipated, she would be indecisive. So I can ask her to show me the town, he thought, smiling. This is good!

Unlike typical perverts (and men in general), Johnathon wasn't going thinking how to corner Lyra, or even to steal a kiss (if he did, he'd most likely blush his face off). His thoughts were simply content on having fun, and how strange did that word sound to him. "Fun," he said, staring absently. A slow, mirthless chuckle escaped his lips. "Maybe I'm hoping for this too much," he muttered, running another hand through his ratty hair. "Maybe it's best . . . no, it is best to lay hopes in more assured matters, not . . . ugh." He caught himself thinking too hard again, and shook his head to alleviate his thoughts. Keep that attitude up, he thought, and Lyra won't enjoy herself at all. Inhaling heavily, exhaling heavily, John repeated the process again, ending it with a sigh. I can do this, he told himself repeatedly, I can make Lyra happy, and to make up for my own blunder with the money, I will be happy too.

As Lyra returned, Johnathon, hands in pockets, cigarette carelessly hanging from his teeth, smiled and made way to meet her. "Welcome back," he called to her. The casualness of her outfit put John at ease and helped to remind him that he needn't stand on ceremony, or treat the girl like the queen of England. He could just be himself, and her herself, and that was refreshing in a way. "Well," he said, taking the cigarette from his mouth and placing both hands on his hips, "where shall we go? I haven't seen town yet."

--

Ryuu, as dramatic as ever, pushed open the door to the infirmary old west style. Spotting Elsa, he imitated a cowboy strut and moved towards her, immediately bending low for a kiss on her cheek. "Good morning," he said softly, gazing kindly into her eyes with a sincere smile. "Or, wait, good afternoon! Time flies . . . goodness me, it's been five hours since I awoke!" He laughed heartily, but knew well that Elsa shared his pains of early rising. Soon, as a matter of fact, they'd be sharing it together . . . well, together! Together in the same apartment (in the same bed too Ryuu secretly hoped) with the same everyday struggles. The thought only broadened the janitor's smile. Somehow, his mornings from here on out would be more bearable. Of course, he thought, Elsa will have to become as infatuated with batman as I, so that together we may watch super hero flicks when we should be sleeping!

~Lyra~

Lyra felt an involuntary smile spread across her face as Johnathon approached her with a kind 'welcome back'. She almost wanted to wrap her arms around him in a friendly hug, and was about to when she realized that she hadn't really known Johnathon for long. Her public displays of affection would probably go unappreciated. Lyra twirled a lock of her hair around her index finger, as she would do when she got nervous, and said, "Thank you."

"Where shall we go? I haven't seen town yet."

Lyra raised her eyebrows, and then smiled slightly. So he
hadn't planned anything...what a relief.

Oh no.

Now it was up to HER to choose. He hadn't been into town as many times as her...he hadn't been at all, actually. What was something they could do that would cost much, or anything at all? All of the restaurants were pretty cheap if they decided to go grab a bite to eat, and of course Lyra would pay for her own meal. But what could they do other than eat?

"Well, the mall in town has a bunch of cool things. There's a bowling alley, a karaoke place...and we could go shopping if you--"

What was she saying? Would he REALLY want to go shopping?

"Well, we can do whatever you want to do." she smiled. "You won the bid, after all!"

She laughed nervously, mentally whacking herself upside the head with a baseball bat. She repeatedly told herself to stop being so nervous...to stop being such a ditz. It didn't work.

~Nurse Elsa Longstorm~

Elsa's head popped up as Ryuu walked in, and she couldn't help but smile as he dramatically approached her, giving her an equally as dramatic kiss on the cheek. She listen to his, what she called, Ryuuambling for a moment before rising and gently tapping his cheek with her hand, saying, "You are adorable, my Ryuu. Thanks for coming, I was getting lonely."

She smiled once again, and walked over the coffee machine. She'd only just figured out how to use it, so she made it a point to make coffee whenever she could.

It didn't take long for the pot to be ready, and Elsa quickly poured Ryuu a cup. The coffee was lousy, definitely. Probably because she didn't add enough water...it was way too thick, and WAY too strong. Not to mention she didn't have any cream or sugar. She handed the cup to Ryuu and smiled, saying, "I think I'm getting better at making coffee! Tell me what ya think!"

(Sanae and Akio moment?
xD )

(Praise everything. I'm home again!)

"U-umm... w-well I wouldn't m-mind where w-we go." He wouldn't ever say it aloud, but she was very cute when stuttering like that, so much that he at first didn't hear what she said. When he snapped back to reality, however, he remembered every word. He was too lost to respond though, and just went silent for a couple of seconds, trying to clear his head. Geno didn't physically react when she slipped her arm around his, but his mind was in a state of chaos. He'd never felt this way before, and he was confused. He felt like he was dying, but he was, as a matter of fact, happy. Not sure of how to react to that, all he did was to surpress the blushing. Butterflies in the stomach and weight on the shoulders had been foreign expressions to him before, but they all made sense now.

"I.. I don't quite know either. We'll find something though, right?" It all sounded so awkward to him. He started leading her with him to the gates (Are they open or something?), and tried his best at smalltalk meanwhile. "So.. What do you like? Dancing? Bowling? Swimming?.. Skydiving?" He hadn't ever skydived, and he had no idea whether or not there was any nearby skydiving places either, but he had to come up with more things to ask.

As they got closer to the gates, he fished his phone out of his pocket and looked up a limousine firm. The concept of Taxi's were foreign to him, however he did realize that the school was invisible to normal people, and that ordering anything here would seem crazy, so he put the phone away again. He just had to hope there was some sort of transportation waiting for people. He glanced at the girl. Why did he do this? He probably couldn't make her happy anyway!.. It was too late to back out now..

(I'm assuming the Auction Party whatever is over)

Seeing as the Charity Date Auction was coming to a close, as all the girls were introduced, bids were made, and their supply of tea and crumpets were now severely diminished Blake figured it was time to kick everyone out of the area. Besides he wanted to talk to Shinji and see how he was doing...and maybe see if Lyra was doing okay with that guy wow I need to stop obsessing over Shinji and Lyra, I'm sounding like a stalker, and why do I care about Shinji? It's not like I...hugged….him...dammit. However that's no excuse for Lyra as she can handle herself fine, just as long as that crusty ass bastard doesn't try anything...Suddenly remembering that he had an auction tea party ordeal to end Blake tapped the microphone to get everyone's attention.

"Seeing as the auction has ended and all of you drained the supplies of tea and pastries, it's time to end the Tea Party/Charity Date Auction, thank you for supporting our school and coming, now get the hell out," Blake announced.

Hopping off the stage Blake started looking form Shinji, wondering where that insufferable prick went.

@DeijiiChan

Locking arms with Geno felt... different. The feeling of another person's body other than Shinji was unusual since the only person she had ever really was comfortable with touching contact was either Shinji or Kuro but with Geno it felt so strange, her face beet red and her chest filled to the brim with an unknown force that made her chest feel as if it could just burst like fireworks,"Y-yeah. I d-don't mind." Calista said following after Geno as he lead the way to the gates, he tried to start a small conversation, Calista thinking up what was her hobbies.

"W-well, I l-like drawing... a-and books... umm... uhh... S-stuff animals wait no! I mean-" Calista couldn't believe how childish she just sound after saying stuff animals. Hugging Geno's arm closer, she held her face in his arm embarrassed to look up at him,"I-i'm s-s-sorry, I-i sound childish r-right?" Calista said softly still hiding her red face.

-Short sorry >.< I have nothing to put in...-

Shinji sat under the tree in complete boredom once Kuro left to watch over Calista. He wasn't the type for parties especially tea parties. Though he did love his tea, he couldn't drink it with his mask on and he wasn't gonna show his face to anyone now besides Calista and Kuro, placing his hand on his mask,"If I were to take this off now, I wonder how everyone will react?" Shinji thought but he quickly pulled his hand away from his mask, not daring to take it off.

Getting up from his spot, he decided to go tour around some more since there were still more things he had to learn about the school, not noticing that the party was already over as Blake announced it up on stage. He didn't even notice that Blake got off too, a perfect chance for Shinji to go have a good chat with him but Shinji was already off to the benches where he met with Blake, taking a seat on the spot where he sat before. Slouching a bit, Shinji looked up to the sky with dull red eyes.

Shinji must have been out of it since he was missing a lot of things, Calista standing right there at the gates with Geno, arm in arm, right there but of course Shinji didn't give a care to glance at them or acknowledge that they were literally right there. His mind was jumbled with thoughts most on Blake, questions that he wanted answers for,"Why did he hug me? Why does he not trust me? Am I that irresponsible?" Shinji thought closing his eyes and nodding off a bit,"I wonder why he has an eyepatch... maybe... he's like... me." Shinji thought his mind slowly darken and all his thoughts drain out as he fell asleep on the benches, his head tilted to the side.

-Your cue Blake! Shinji is defenseless! Take off the mask and reveal the true face of Shinji!-

Alain is awaiting to take hold of his princess...

"W-well, I l-like drawing... a-and books... umm... uhh... S-stuff animals wait no! I mean-" He looked at the girl with a raised eyebrow. "I-i'm s-s-sorry, I-i sound childish r-right?" He laughed. And not one of his usual fake laughs either, a real hearty laugh. "I can see why you think I'd think that, and honestly, I guess I kind of do. But it's fine, to each their own. Personally, I collected stickers until I was 16." It wasn't true, he had collected stickers at one point in his life, but he stopped when he was 13, he just wanted her to feel more comfortable. "I mean, at least books and drawings are cool. Think you could draw a picture of me any time?" He smiled at her. She really had a cute personality, and he liked that. Almost as socially awkward as him.

He faced away from the girl, and looked at the busses situated outside the gates. "Come on now, let's get on one." He yanked her arm gently towards the busses. "Either way, none of those things are really anything we can DO.. I guess we could go to a library.. Want to do that?" He didn't really want to go there, he already had those books from Mr... Mr..... DiFranco! He would've clapped his hands if his arm wasn't locked in Calista's. He remembered a name! That's awesome..

@DeijiiChan

You're not alone. In 1x1's like this posts can get kinda short.

(By the way, it's fine if we 1x1 during the date, right?)

Nichole sat down in her dorm and sighed thinking. Maybe she could write a letter to her parents. Yea that'll cheer her up! Nichole got some stationary and her favorite rainbow colored pen. Then got to writing telling everything that happened.

Dear mama and dad,

how are you guys? I miss you very much. How's komo doing? I miss that silly pup. Well I made some new friends....sorta. i saw kouji and we had some time together. I came up with a new song. Almost got into a fight with the nurse and her boyfriend. Im getting better control of my powers promise! I pinkie pie promise I'll keep them under control. Cross my heart and hope to fly. Stick a cupcake in my eye!I made some more ice flowers and stuff...I went to a party. It was sorta fun. I guess. Well I'll see you soon. Love you.

With love,

Nichole

Nichole whistled and a bird flew in. "Here jasmine." Nichole said. She had named the beautiful bird. Jasmine took the letter in her beak and flew off.

Nichole stood and put her friends in her bag. She rested her guitar against the wall and grabbed a package of pocky. She walked outside and saw a girl wandering. Nichole didnt know if she should bother her or not. But walked over anyway. "Hey are you lost or something? " she asked before eating some pocky.

Calista giggled at Geno's strange habit to collect stickers but it made her feel a bit better of herself for having stuffed animals, such childish habits that she still keep with her to this day. Stuffed animals were just so cute to her that she couldn't resist collecting so many. At the moment, most of her stuffed animals were in England with her parents, the only stuffed animals she was able to bring was her rabbit, White and her panda bear, Kumajirou (wink wink). These two were very dear to her since these two were her first stuffed animals and were the one she treasured most out of all her other animals.

Letting her grip on his arm go, she looked up at him and nodded, her cheeks return to a more lighter pink hue,"U-umm... I c-could..." Calista said glancing away from his eyes embarrassed since in reality, she had already made a picture of him even when she didn't know him, not even knowing how he even looked. It's surprising how she even knew how he even looked by just his name feeling she would be like some weirdo or stalker to him if she told him, so she kept it to herself... for now.

Being tugged a bit, Geno took them to one of the busses but he suggested to go to the library, Calista not sure if that what people usually do on dates but she didn't want to make him feel bored with her. The library would be boring since it's too quiet and they would barely get to chat since talking wouldn't be allowed in the library,"U-umm... w-we could go to maybe a carnival... o-or a cafe. I-i think t-those would b-b-be a n-nice d-d-date." Calista suggested, glancing away when she said "date".

Now that she think about it... this was her first date with a guy,"Wait... first date?" Calista thought and felt the butterflies flying around in her stomach multiply as she mentally panicked,"This is my first date... with a guy! And he's even on my group?!" Calista thought and felt like she would faint any second by this conclusion. Her sky-blue eyes looking like they were spiraling.

Alain stood at the stage as the boy with an eyepatch announced the party was over, looking around for the girl he had paid for though he was quite confused what was going on. Glancing behind him, he noticed a girl with a cute blue dress on, giving her his princely smile, he walked over to her and held out his hand,"Hello fair maiden, are you perhaps the princess I have come to save?" Alain teasingly said, his eyes filled with passion for the girl. Her dress was very cute, Alain seeing how it made her adorn that he couldn't resist the urge to hug her but he refrain himself, his love for cute things was great but he learned how to keep his cool when it came to cute things, his smile never leaving his lips.

Mirabelle Ami

Ami sighed. My everything hurts, she complained mentally, and tried to move... Again. Fruitlessly, of course, because IT WASN'T WORKING. Owwwww. Why was that so hard to do? Ami thought, her mind focused on Alain. Why was he so hard to charm? Why are people immune to my charms?! I'm wonderful, right? What's not to like? Ami moaned - With no one but her thoughts - Oh, and the nurse, who seemed to have disregarded her completely - To keep her company, she would go insane in a matter of minutes. Well, I might as well get comfortable. I'm not moving any time soon... Oh, wait. I can't get comfortable because I CAN'T MOVE.

Ami tapped her fingers impatiently against the bed frame - Wait, what? She did WHAT?! YES! I CAN MOVE kind of! Ami continued to tap her fingers against the bed frame in an attempt to regain feeling in the rest of her body as well. She could move her hands a bit, which seemed to be a good sign. She wiggled her toes around in her shoes in an attempt to regain feeling in her feet, as well.

It might take a little effort, but I can do this, Ami thought. It just might take a while.

To his surprise he found Shinji fairly quickly, he was on a bench looking strangely peaceful. Upon closer inspection Blake saw that Shinji was sleeping of course he manages to fall asleep like that...Moving a bit closer to him it looked like Shinji was completely out of it, deep in sleep, dead to the world. Blake found himself staring at his gasmask, the clunky and heavy mask was resting on his face, covering a good portion of it like always. A deep curiosity dwelled inside of him and his hand was subconsciously reaching over to it, grasping it in his hand. I shouldn't, the least I can do is respect his privacy. Even as he told himself this Blake managed to pull the mask off and what he saw was shocking.

A long scar that ran from his forehead, through his eye and down to his cheek. Along the scar was his left eye, under his left eye was some kind of symbol, a black trail of curves with a strange eye in the middle of it (taking this from you know what) other than that his face was quite handsome, sporting smooth and attractive features, he had no idea why Shinji hid all that, the symbol might be strange but the scars and said symbol didn't take anything away and had a certain charm. Blake started caressing Shinji's face, tracing the scars and symbol in a gentle fashion.

@DeijiiChan

(sorry this was really late, I'm over my sisters and since I rarely see her I've been hanging out with her a lot)

"U-umm... w-we could go to maybe a carnival... o-or a cafe. I-i think t-those would b-b-be a n-nice d-d-date." It was weird. The word "Date" cut him like a knife. He didn't show it physically, but a shiver went down his spine when he heard the word. He wasn't ready for it, and it immediately made the date official, which changed everything for some reason. Her words had spurred a train of thought in his mind though. He got to a seat in the bus, and signaled for her to sit down next him.

"I.. Err.." He was kind of ashamed of this, since it made him feel different from other kids. "I've.. Never been to a carnival.. But it sounds fun, can we go there?" He said with a small genuine smile on his lips. He felt like a kid, and it amused him. A carnival.. He'd never even thought of it before, but he had heard of it. He had had regular "friends". They didn't really hang out, but they met sometimes, and they always talked about the "regular" things they did, like going to carnivals. He had been really jealous at the time, but he grew colder to their temptations over the years, just as he grew cold to everything else.

Argh, I feel incomplete without a third paragraph, but here goes nothing... @DeijiiChan

Shinji wasn't quite sure where he was. He was at first at the school just sitting on a bench and next thing he knows he was in some kind of dark place. It was dark everywhere and Shinji couldn't see anything other than darkness but then peering through the dark was a small light. Walking towards the light, it felt like to was getting further and further away so he tried to walk faster but he still couldn't reach it. Now running and reaching out for the light, he tried to grasps the light but still, no matter what he did, he never could reach it. It was like an endless yearning to escape this place but he knew that he couldn't escape but he still believed, that was all he had left was that small light of hope.

Maybe that was the light, the small light was his exit but he has yet to know of it. Standing in the darkness, he watched the light flicker on,"When will this be over?" Shinji mumbled and slowly crouched down, pulling his legs close to his chest just like a lonely child. He was lonely and only wanted for someone to come to him but something bright flashed into his vision and the feeling of a warm hand touched his cheeks, looking up, he was blinded by the light, everything too bright to even see what was going on.

Twitching a bit from Blake's gentle touch, Shinji slowly opened his eyes his left eye also open to reveal a more darker color red unlike his other eye. Shinji was sure what was going on but he was able to see Blake clearly and his face felt lighter than usual,"What?" Shinji mumbled drowsily since he had just woken up and placed a hand over Blake's hand that gently caress his face, pressing it closer to his face, a small smile formed on his lips. Finally gaining his consciousness of what was going on, Shinji eyes widen as he shot up but still was seated on the bench and stared at Blake in shock now understanding what was happening.

His mask was off and Blake was now able to see what he hid from others, covering the mark under his eyes and glaring at Blake,"What are you doing?" Shinji asked or more like demanded for an answer for why his mask was off, his ruby eyes dark just like his left eye. He didn't expect Blake to see it so soon nor did he thought Blake would be this rude to budge in on his privacy. It felt like Blake had betrayed him in some way but it also felt like a weight was lifted off of his shoulders but Shinji ignored that part, still covering the symbol with his hand,"You must think I'm a monster now, huh? Just like everyone else." Shinji snarled under his breath,"To have the crested symbol of a monster..." Shinji mumbled glancing away from Blake's eyes and looking towards the floor.

-Dun dun dun! The truth is revealed!! :o -

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Walking onto the bus with Geno, he gestured her to sit down next to him, taking the offer and sitting down onto the black leather seat. Looking over to Geno, her crystal-blue eyes lit up when he agreed to go with her to the carnival, cupping both of his hands in hers gently,"Oh yes please! I'll show you everything a carnival have." Calista exclaimed in excitement just like a child who was excited for a present but then she flushed in embarrassment of her act, letting go of Geno's hand and hiding her face.

"I-i-i'm sorry! How r-rude of m-me." Calista said and felt tears well up in her eyes. She had ruin the mood and made it seem like she was a childish weirdo now. Geno must have thought she was a weirdo by now, her bottom lip puffed up and sniffles could be heard a bit,"I'm such a crybaby." Calista thought as she tried to hold in her sniffles and the tears, keeping her strong suit up but it wouldn't last long if Geno doesn't do something fast to stop her from breaking down.
