Fantasy Hawthorne Academy

Emma jumped at the sudden speaking into her ear. Forgetting that she had her blindfold off, she turned to meet eyes with Luna. Her face turned red and she now remembered her blindfold was off and that he was able to see what she was hiding "L-Luna!" she was shocked and scared of what he might think. Seeing her cursed eyes. Quickly closing her eyes, she faced away from him "..I-I'm sorry...Go ahead..run...thats what everyone does...." the crush that she finally had on this boy only grew stronger, but she knew that most likely, he'd back off just like everyone else did when they saw her eyes.

Except for her Professor who thought that it was facinating. And it wasnt. Her eyes were never meant to be cursed. But she was only in a middle of a fight that caused this..She had no choice to be part of this or not. It just happened. Slowly, she lifted her blindfold, ready to put it back on.

LUNATIO GRIMALDO

Run? Why would he run? Then his mind went back to her eyes. Is that why she kept that blindfold on? Quickly, he took hold of the piece of cloth and placed his other hand on her chin, making her face him, getting a clear view of her eyes. It wasn't the fact that it scared him, it was because he didn't care at all— all he saw was her. "Beautiful.." He murmured, placing the blindfold into his pocket and cupping her face with his free hand. "Simply beautiful.." He continued.

"No. I won't run. Why should I.. When that would mean running away from my life itself, specially when my whole life is standing in front of me.." He told her, a gentle smile on his face. He pulled her away from the crowd to somewhere more private, taking Emma's personal privacy in mind. She wouldn't want a whole crowd of students to notice them, and maybe annoy them when they had the chance. They walked to what seemed to be a garden, and Luna quickly pulled her into a hug, one that he never wanted to end.

Emma's face turned red when she heard the word 'beautiful'. No one had really called her that except for her mother. And his hand that was strong and warm He's...He's so serious about this... and yet, Emma was still doubtful. What shocked her even more is that he wouldnt run from her like everyone else did. He seemed to want to stay with her. His words making her stomach flip a billion times and making her heart race. Soon enough, he pulled her from the room and to a garden where he held her tight and didnt let her go.

"Luna..." she sighs softly with a small smile "We just met and you know relationships dont work that way." she looked up at him "But I am glad that you didnt run away..and you actually said something nice to me. You have no idea how much that means to me." she reached into his pocket and pulled out her blindfold "Just...Dont tell anyone about my eyes, okay?"

LUNATIO GRIMALDO

His hold on Emma somewhat loosened, shifting his gaze to the girl in his arms. He let out a low chuckle, and brushed away a piece of hair that strayed to her face. "I know we just met, and I'll tell you this time and time again, I'm willing to wait for you, no matter how long it takes." he told her with a smile, pulling her closer into his warm embrace. "And of course.. I won't tell anyone. Not until you're ready." he added, upon hearing Emma's request.

His hold on her didn't let up, albeit it was beginning to tighten somewhat. He let out a contented sigh and smiled. "Could we stay like this a little longer?" he asked, hoping she would agree with his request.

(Last post for now. Time to wait. :3)

KRIYZE and SUNASA are IN CHARGE! Please continue with the bidding and do what they say, I won't be on until further notice! KEEP THINGS ORGANIZED, PLEASE!

"Sold!"

It looked like Maria was getting a date for a whopping 200$ to the guy who was waving around the money. However the next bid was on a totally other league. Blake nearly nearly spit out his gum he was chewing when he heard...Geno's? He was pretty sure that was his name, bid on Calista. The kid was either loaded or...nothing. There was no other reason besides being rich that would have someone spend that kind of money on a charity date auction.

"We've got five thousand dollars..."

Blake didn't even ha ve to do the going once thing, as the people who were near Geno were either giving him a shocked look, or shaking their head in defeat.

"Sold!"

(since no one else is bidding on Maria or Calista I guess I'll just go ahead and give them the bid)

Calista stood at the back of the stage waiting for the bids to come in as she watched all the boys all rioting large amount of money that Calista never knew would exist in the school as Maria was bid on for 200 dollars,"W-wow... Bidding is such an intense thing." Calista thought trying to hide from the boys as they started to bid for her now and in honesty, they looked like wild animals who were ready to rip each other in pieces for who got the most money.

The sight of all them bidding on her made it more scary for Calista until a hand raised up and called out the most extreme thing to do,"F-f-five thousands dollars?!" Calista gasped in shock of the large amount of money. There was no one here who even got close to that amount and Calista tried to see who the person was, peeking from her spot. Among the crowd, it was the boy from before with the unique eyes, her jaw felt like it would drop. She couldn't believe what she was seeing, the guy wanted her?! She never thought that she would be appealing to the guy since he was hanging out with another girl earlier who was also part of this mess.

-Sorry! I was busy >.<-

"Sold!"

Geno smirked with satisfaction as no one challenged his bid. It was empowering to know you were the richest guy around, even though he was slightly ashamed for feeling that way. Nontheless, he made his way through the crowd of shocked people. He heard a couple of "Who's that guy"s, and "How can he afford that?"s, but he didn't bother to stop and tell them. He doubted they would recognize his family's name, besides, he was quite certain that most of their money wasn't made in any legitimate way.

He felt a sting of nervousity as he saw the girl he had bid for backstage. He wasn't really used to any of this, but he'd want to make sure she at least enjoyed it, even if she was uninterested in him. He tried to ignore her, as her gaze felt like 100 needles of worry piercing his heart(hopefully that would pass though), and walked up to Mars. He pulled out a cheque and instead of the agreed upon amount, he wrote down 250,000$. He would've shouted out the amount on site, but realized that revealing that he was that wealthy could maybe attract unwanted attention.

"I'm supposed to give this to you, right?" He said, raising his hand to offer him the cheque. He wasn't sure of how he would react, since he hadn't met him that much, but perhaps he could persuade him to keep quiet about it. He scratched his neck. He really didn't know where to go from here, all he could do was to hope and pray that Mars didn't flip.

@cojemo

When Geno had bid five thousand dollars, Mars had kept a straight face, though he couldn't help but feel dissapointed. If only I was in the crowd right now! I'd bid against him and force him to raise it even more! Someone who was willing to bid high right away most likely had money to spare, and even though Mar's highest spending amount was $25 000, he would be willing to take the risk. However, he could never have expected a bid this high on someone he barely knew, so he accepted defeat.

"I'm supposed to give this to you, right?"

Taking the cheque from Geno, Mars instinctively checked the printed amount, noticing it was... considerably higher than the amount he had bid. Looks like he was willing to spend anyways. Mars just nodded, then looked back up at Geno. "Thanks for your generous bid. Now, you can go and take your prize." He didn't feel the need to raise any attention to the matter. As long as they made a profit everything was fine, and this was definitely a profit.

(Sorry I hadn't posted in a while! I'll post some more responses to the other bids later!)

"Thanks for your generous bid. Now, you can go and take your prize."

The words stung him like an arrow. He wasn't much for feminism, really, but that sentence was very.. Objectifying. He didn't think he did it purposely though, and chose not to point it out. He walked a couple steps away, then turned back around. "My handwriting is a bit sloppy(which it by the way isn't, mind you), I hope it'll still cash out. Oh, and no offense, but have you seen the piano in the music hall? It could really use an upgrade. Ever heard of a concert grand?" He said, giving a sly smile. "Oh I'm sure you have. Whatever. I'll see you around Mars." He gave it up. If they chose to get a concert grand or not was their own choice, he wasn't going to try and force them just because he donated such a large sum. It didn't put too much of a dent in his account anyway.

He hesitated for a moment, and then walked straight to Calista. He gave her the cheeriest smile he could. "Hey there! I guess you can be happy it was me and no one else that... "Won" you. No.. No, I shouldn't talk like that about the other students. I'm sorry." There was a definite difference in tone when he said "won", as he was really uncomfortable talking like that. He tried to surpress the uncertainty in himself. He hadn't ever tried talking to a girl in this way. He'd always just been friends, which, at times, had made him sad. He had had his share of crushes, too. He'd just been to awkward to do anything.

"We're supposed to be allowed to go to town later, right?" He wasn't actually sure, but from how people had been talking he would assume that that's a thing. He leaned in closer, and whispered as he didn't know if anyone would disapprove: "Before then, change into something more casual. That dress looks really uncomfortable, and it's rubbing off." He leaned back and said slightly louder "Besides, I've always though casual wear is much better looking than formal." He scratched his neck. Small talk really wasn't his thing.

@DeijiiChan

Watching the boy walk up onto the stage, Calista felt nervous all of a sudden. She wasn't used to this kind of thing and it felt more like some kind of blind date with some guy but luckily this guy wouldn't be so bad, he did seem nice since he was chatting with the girl before and from what she could recall, he was pretty friendly to her,"It'll be okay Calista, he'll be a nice guy." Calista thought, her gut feeling telling her so. After giving the money to the boy with red hair next to Blake, he came towards Calista, giving her an adorable smile that made Calista blush as she clenched at her dress nervously.

The first thing that Calista thought was that he seemed a bit cocky of his winning of her but he was saying the truth, in honesty, Calista was pretty happy she got him besides someone else who would be a complete stranger to her though this guy was also a stranger to her as well but he seemed like a cool guy and didn't make Calista feel uncomfortable,"I-it's okay. I-i think I would be more c-c-comfortable with y-you than someone else." Calista said, glancing down, embarrassed at what she just said. She wasn't used to saying words like these and usually ever used sweet words with Shinji mostly but it should be fine, she needed to open up a bit anyways.

Returning his smile, Calista nod slowly,"Y-yes, we'll be allowed into t-town." Calista said about to walk off with him until he then started to lean closer to Calista, his face inches away from her ear as he whispered softly to her. The feeling of his breath tickled and made Calista's cheek warm up to a bright red, she didn't notice that she held in her breath and her heart beating faster than before. Once he moved away, Calista was finally able to let her breath out, Calista's cheeks still burning,"U-umm... Y-yes s-s-sir. I-i'll go c-c-change n-now." Calista stuttered on her words, her mind feeling as if it could explode and her heart just wanting to burst out of her chest.

With that said, Calista turned on her heels and ran off to go change in the Main Halls' bathroom, placing on the extra clothes she bought with her. It wasn't much and she didn't really have anything else to wear as she came out of the bathroom stalls. Going over to the mirror, she tried to fix her hair, taking out the braid and her hair still kept wavy since she didn't have her straightener with her,"I guess the glasses may help a bit." Calista thought and pulled out her glasses, placing them on and walking out to where the boy stood,"S-sorry for t-the wait." Calista said and went over to his side,"S-shall we go?" Calista asked fiddling with her glasses.

Mirabelle Ami

Ami smiled when Alain took her hand - Good, he's going along with it. She found herself walking with Alain to the nurse's room. Do I really look tired? I've slept less than this and looked way better, Ami thought. How could I possibly look tired?

Either I look bad - Ami shuddered at that - Somehow, or I'm more tired than I thought. Hey, this doesn't look familiar. Is he taking me to the right place? Ami thought for a second. She hadn't walked by the nurse's room, so how the hell would she know?

"Ohhhhh, Ami's such an airhead," Ami knocked on her head with her free hand, "And Ami's so tired... Can you carry me?" The idea of someone carrying her - A stranger, even, albeit a hot one - Made her wonder how far she would go to flirt with a guy. If she let herself get picked up by this guy, how could she know she was being taken to the right place?

Then again, how much of a better position was she in right now? Her legs could give out at any moment from her exhaustion. Maybe I really am tired. Ami considered just letting her exhaustion catch up with her and letting Alain drag her to the nurse's room, but she had to hold herself to at least a slightly high standard, right? Right?

Right.

Ami yawned and carried on. It can't be that far now, can it?

(Maria's post took a little longer than expected, sorry.)

Maria Scarlette

"Two hundred dollars," Maria muttered under her breath. There had been a short while where she hadn't been bid on, but someone had bid $200 on her.

Why? Was she really worth it?

Maria looked out at the crowd and noticed a man waving a wad of bills in one hand. That must be him, right? "We've got 200$ Anyone want to go for 220$? Going once...going twice..."

"Sold!" Maria shouted and ran over to the man who had been waving his money around. Maria threw her arms around the man and looked up at him... To think he thought she was worth $200 just from what she did on the stage was incredible. Oh, with this smile on my face I probably look so stupid, Maria thought - But she couldn't stop smiling. Something just felt so right - So great - About this guy, whoever he was, and she thought she would enjoy being around him. "I can't wait to spend a day with you," Maria's voice chimed in again - But unlike when she was talking earlier, she felt truly happy - It wasn't just a show. Something about this was just so-

"Will," Maria said quietly, then she stepped back and let her arms fall to her sides. "Is your name Will?"

(Finally, Maria gets background! Want to know who Will is? Too bad, I'm working on it, so wait! If anyone *Cough* ROOMATE *Unconvincing cough* is interested in overhearing that 'Will' comment, they can question it later - In the meantime I'll be writing up a backstory! On a less important note, if my posts look awkward structure-wise, it's because I add too many breaks while I'm writing, but since it looks like so little writing normally I remove a lot of breaks. Sorry. Also, end-rant almost as big as my actual post. Sigh.)

(@iLoriel2 , you have a thing to reply to. Enjoy!)

With all of her blushing and stuttering, Geno actually felt like he was the lucky one. "I guess I'm not the only anxious one.." He thought to himself. "U-umm... Y-yes s-s-sir. I-i'll go c-c-change n-now." His smile faded for a second. "Oh, no, please don't call me si-" She was already gone. Oh well, that gave him time to switch into something comfortable as well. He slipped into a black t-shirt, a pair of equally black jeans, and a white hoodie.

He got back before the girl though.. What was her name? He had forgotten. Oh god. That's awkward. Either way, she came up to him after a minute or so, wearing, as he'd said, something much more casual. He couldn't stop himself, and said "You wear glasses? That's cute." He realized what he said however, and started blushing. However, as mentioned before, his blushes were black, and looked weird as hell, so he raised a hand to cover his face. "I'm sorry, though.. I'm really bad with names, could you remind me what yours was?"

@DeijiiChan

SOLAIRA GRIMALDO

"Sold!" Maria cried out and ran over to Sol, hugging him in the process. "Whoa there. Excited are we?" He said with a smile, seeing that the girl was happy made him happy as well. 'Ugh.. When did I turn into such a sap?' He though to himself, mentally kicking himself to boot. "I can't wait to spend a day with you," She chimed, a big grin on her face. She turned her head to look at Sol and suddenly frowned, dropping her hands to her sides. "Is your name Will?" She asked him again, looking sad at him.

"Oh? why the sad face? And I'm not this Will person you speak of. Solaira Grimaldo, at your service." He said with a bow and flashed a smile to her, hoping to lighten the sudden damp mood.

SORAPHINA GRIMALDO

"Looks like Calista and Maria have been bid on.." Soraphine murmured, seemingly saddened at the events that were transpiring. No one was bidding on her, it scared her. What if she was the only no one had bid on? She would be the laughing stock of the academy. She curled up into a ball in a corner and stayed that way for a while, sadness taking over her.

Maria Scarlette

"Oh? why the sad face? And I'm not this Will person you speak of. Solaira Grimaldo, at your service."

"Oh - Sorry, I didn't notice I was - I'm sorry, I mistook you for someone else! It's wonderful to meet you, Solaira," Maria smiled. "I do hope you're looking forward to today, because I am - I think we're going to have a wonderful day together. What might we want to do, do you think?"

Am I being imposing?

Maria had to tilt her head up a lot to look this man in the eyes - Which she didn't mind at all, though she wished she could be a bit taller so Solaira didn't need to look down so much. "You needn't figure anything out right now, though," Maria added hastily. "We can figure things out together whenever we want, right? Oh - Pardon me, do you have any requests for how I look? I could change if you'd like." Maria noticed one of the other girls had gone and changed into something more casual. She wouldn't change into something casual, of course - She would want to change into something more familiar. More layers, more satin and silk, less lace and pins.

Why are you trying so hard?! Stop it! Shut up! STOP TALKING!

"Ultimately it's your choice," Maria concluded.

Nichole sighed walking out of the area and was heading to the courtyard. Then she could be with her real friends. The wild animals. Nichole petted a bird a hummed softly. A lost look in her eyes as she did. Nichole smiled softly and gave the bird a drink of water. Nichole laid on the grass and looked up at the animals around her. Nichole gave them all something to eat and a bunny hopped onto her chest looking down at her. "Hi little one." Nichole said petting him. She gave him a nice carrot to munch on and sighed closing her eyes. Jesse and angel were next to her. Nichole softly sang her song again and the animals swayed to her voice. Nichole smiled at them and said"thanks guys. "Petting them and sat up leaning on the tree her knees together. "I dont really think I belong here.." she whispered.

Kouji read up more on Nichole's powers and bit his lip taking notes. He had a bad feeling about his sis at the moment. So he went to the courtyard and saw her with the animals and smiled in relief. But then he saw the tear stains on Nichole's cheek. Kouji jogged over to her and sat down. "You do belong here imuto. "He whispered hugging her close.

~Nurse Elsa Longstorm~

Elsa tapped her pencil on her chin for a moment, then scrawled a few more words down on her notebook. What was she writing about? She didn't really know. Random food items that she craved, but wouldn't let herself have. Goodness, she hated diets. Then again, she didn't want to be the chubby girl again.

Suddenly, the nurse felt her phone buzz in her pocket.

No, I insist you come over to my apartment! Just be prepared to wait 6 hours.

Heading to the infirmary-y-y-y-y-y-y-y!

:) <3

Elsa smiled, and slipped her phone back into her pocket.

((worst post in the world...forgive me!))

Emma couldnt stop blushing, this was just..surprisingly so much for her. "...Luna..." 'I'm willing to wait for you, no matter how long it takes' he's...just so sweet.. "thank you, Luna. I'm glad you respect my wish of my eyes." she was acting much more different then she normally did, and that was bad in her book. His embrace only got tighter and this caused Emma to actually hug back this time. 'Stay like this a little longer'...He really did have these feelings for her.

"Sure." Emma wasnt awkward about it, she was just trying to see it as a friendly hug for now. Though her heart screamed for him to be with her and make her truely happy.

ATTENTION!

I want to wrap up this Auction! You have until MIDNIGHT to bid on someone. If you are a girl participating, and nobody bids on you, don't worry and don't be sad!

Thanks!

Calista didn't expect to be commented of her glasses especially being called cute with them since no one had ever called her such thing before. Feeling her cheeks heat up again, Calista glanced downward trying to not have any eye contact with him but glanced upward a bit to see his cheeks a slight shade of dark black hue which Calista thought was quite freaky but she didn't say anything about it, not wanting to be rude or anything of the sort,"T-thank you." Calista whispered out and then she was asked of her name, Calista remembering that she also didn't know the guy's name as well,"M-my name is Calista a-and umm... I also don't know y-your name... may I-i know your name?" Calista asked tilting her head slightly wondering what kind of name he got for such an interesting guy with strange eyes and his blush being black as if his blood was black too.

Alain was only leading her to the nurse office but out of the blue she starts asking for more. First, she asked him to hold hands and now she wants to be carried to the nurse office? Like hell he would do that now, holding hand in public was worse enough, he don't need to make it into some kind of news story about him seeming as if he was dating her now. Luckily the nurse office wasn't far so Alain didn't have to carry her, placing on a charming smile to hide his frustration on how this girl was pushing his limit to just walk off on her.

She really was someone Alain couldn't deal well with but being the polite gentleman he is, he couldn't deny much and one swish movement, she was up in his arms bridal style,"Up we go Miss Ami, please don't move to much and relax." Alain said and turned a corner to where the nurse office's door stood. Placing Ami down, he opened the doors and let her in first, glancing at the owner of the office,"Sorry for disturbing you Miss but this girl fainted in the hallways and I would like her to rest here if that is fine." Alain said before placing Ami on the bed and walking towards the door,"I'm sorry for the rush but I have somewhere to go but I'll see you around Ami and Good day Miss." Alain said to the two as he went off to where the bid was happening,"Thank god I'm out of there, now on to what the great event is occurring." Alain thought as he walked out the door and over to where a stage was set up behind the Main Building with many people shouting and holding paper money everywhere as they screamed out numbers after numbers.

The sight of all the boys confused Alain greatly as he tried to comprehend what was going on,"Huh? What the heck?" Alain thought as he glanced up at the stage to see two boys with different shade of red hair standing there calling out names and the numbers of money that the people offered. Alain didn't know what to do but he was suddenly pulled into the mess as he was suddenly pushed into the crowd and bought up to the front and tripping up to the stage where he landed at the feet of one of the boys and grumbled,"Ouch... diese dumme menschen." Alain mumbled using his native language and looked up to see the two boys a up close,"I'm not sure what's going on but..." Alain mumbled and without hesitation, called out a number himself,"7000 dollars!" Alain called out randomly among the crowd. He wasn't sure what he was doing but he knew that he was bidding on someone.

Shinji didn't expected out of all the boys, Geno being the guy Calista would get. It was pretty amusing seeing Geno stand up on the stage proudly and taking Calista like that but though Geno was Shinji's friend, he didn't trust Calista with another guy and glanced down at Kuro, his eyes telling Kuro what to do as Kuro hissed and ran off after Calista to do as he was told,"Dang it! Why must I worry for Calista? Geno not some guy who would do anything weird to her but just in case..." Kuro thought and hid under a bush, peeking through to see Calista and Geno standing there together,"I'll just stalk them for now." Kuro thought,"Stupid Master just wants to stay to watch Blake... that perv." Kuro thought rolling his eyes.

When Veronica had taken the stage, Mars stepped down into the crowd, leaving the bidding process to Blake. He was hoping to raise bids, after all, and he had planned Veronica to be one of the people he'd do that for. However, it was right after Geno had bid his exorbitantly high amount on Calista, so he was slightly worried people would be too scared or intimidated to bid if he bid a high amount. When Veronica had finished her intro and the bidding began, Mars rose his hand to get attention. Okay, I'll bid $50 and go from there. Nothing too high and I should be- "Five thousand dollars!" He paused as he thought about what he said. Five...THOUSAND! He immediately waved his hands in rejection. "I mean fifty! Fifty dollars! Not five thousand!" He must've not wanted to be shown up by Geno and let his competitive nature get the best of him. He looked around as he saw a few of the others around him backing down. He had messed up. No one was going to bid after that, unless it was someone not normal. He just hoped that Blake would allow him to pay $50 instead of $5000, or that someone else decided to bid ridiculously high again.

SORAPHINE GRIMALDO

"7000$!" Someone yelled out. This snapped Sora out of her depressed trance. She raised her head to find a man with white hair and red eyes standing right smack dab in front of the stage. "7000..? Wonder who he bid on.." She murmured and stood up, hoping to get a better view of who he 'won'. She studied her facial feature more, he was handsome. The white hair contrasted his red eyes and made him look more appealing to the eye. She brushed off any residual dirt on her dress and began walking closer to the stage, wanting to see who he bid on.

LUNATIO GRIMALDO

"Sure" Emma murmured, which made Luna all the more happier. His hug on her tightened a bit as he rested his chin on the top of her head. "Thank you." He whispered, a huge grin on her face. "Hey, Emma. Do you wish to walk around? You did say you loved the outside." He asked her, looking back down on her. "We could go anywhere you want. I'll be here to follow." He added, smiling down on her.

SOLAIRA GRIMALDO

"In all honesty Maria? You look fine to me, but." He paused and gave her a one over, "You look uncomfortable in what you wear." He stated, looking back into her eyes. "So I suggest you go change. Wouldn't want my date to be uncomfortable, hm?" He said, smiling at her. "And as for the date, it would be fine with me if we went anywhere." He added, looking down to her since she was fairly smaller. "Now come, let me escort you back to your quarters." He stated, holding his hand out for her.

(Crappy post I know.)

Kriyze said:
Geno was about to respond with a smart comment when Lyra came by and stole Johns attention. He didn't really see a point in interrupting them, that is to say, if he COULD interrupt them. As much as they were stuttering, they both seemed absorbed with their conversation. He didn't exactly like sitting off to the side and being ignored, but he could handle it for the while being, and Lyra looked like she was gonna be in the auction, so he'd have his time with John soon enough.
As she left, Geno turned to John, smirked, and said: "Yes, I do wonder on who you'd bet." He paused shortly, John didn't exactly seem like the type of person to want to discuss this sort of thing, but he couldn't just give up like that. "I'm not going to inquire further about your relationship with her, I just don't think you should give up... on her." He was about to say "give up on love" but he stopped himself, as it was waaaay to corny for him. "So uh.." He pulled a cheque out of his pocket, signed it for 1000$ and said "Bid high." as he pushed it across the table.

He sent a glance over his shoulder, only to notice a table completely flipped over with tea all over the ground. "Gah, I hate people sometimes.." He said as he got up from the table. He looked at John over his shoulder and said "And I'd never become a waiter, I'm way too fancy for that." And so he moved off to take care of all the guests.
John paused, his eyes following Lyra as she left. Without turning his head or his expression changing, his eyes averted to Geno, looking into his milky white pupils. He could only roll his eyes and mutter some incomprehensible Polish. "Relationship," he scoffed, rubbing his upper lip. No longer were his eyes on Geno, but looking deadpan at the ground. It was interesting how grass, dirt, and puny insects of absolutely no significance could suddenly spark such mundane curiosity, as they did suddenly for Johnathon. Who am I kidding? he thought. He knew full well that his behavior was foolish and, to Geno at least, probably very amusing in its own way.

"I just don't think you should give up... on her."

Boy, does that sound cheesy, he mused, a noticeable smirk playing at his upper lip. This is a date auction, Geno. Hell, I have money, but I'm not going to flaunt it away in competition for a girl who has half the school's eyes on her. His thoughts were interrupted when Geno slid a piece of paper towards him. Johnathon instinctively leaned over the table's rim to get a keen look at the note (upside down, mind you), and when the $1000 amount became clear, his pupils widened.

A comment Geno had previously made regarding the music room's piano now made perfect sense. The check could easily have been a $100, but that extra '0', marking it up another decimal, seemed nothing to him. He was very, very wealthy, and John knew this auction would follow along to a sweet tune for Geno.

A sweet tune for Geno, John chuckled, folding the check in half and slipping it into his pocket. Thanks to the boy, Johnathon's fate for the day practically seemed set in stone. He couldn't refuse a thousand dollars, purposefully given to him to support the charity auction, yet did it bother him at all? Frankly, it did, but his hands were tied. What irony, he thought. Once again, he rolled his eyes at Geno. "A thousand lettuce isn't going to buy a new piano, I hope you realize," he said, waving to his friend as he moved on to help some other guests. Cupping a hand to his mouth, he then called, "I'll ensure Lyra sends her regards!"

Presently, he was laughing.

As each girl came up and introduced themselves, flirted, and then were auctioned off, John's gaze wandered through the crowd. His chin rested on the upturned palm of his hand, and he busily drummed out a tune on the table's top while the laziness of his eyes filled his mind with uninteresting images. At this point he was only passing the time. Part of him had considered returning to the dorms after handing some kid Geno's check, but he knew that would be wrong. He was still a gentleman; he needed to act like it. What continually bothered him though was the thought of Lyra, and her reaction to a thousand dollars being waved around in her favor. When she saw who was waving around the money, Johnathon, then what would she think? John's chin slowly began to droop; the beat he was drumming came to a close.

"Five thousand dollars!"

A wild grin spread across Johnathon's face, as he knew the bidder to be Geno. "That a boy," he cackled. The comical silence that followed was golden. Truly, Geno was a one of a kind student, and, for the first time, John could say he was glad he knew him. Personal relationships and friends weren't, of course, his forte, yet nonetheless, this relationship with Geno had begun to bloom. He wasn't granted much time to retreat back to his own thoughts though, because presently more fanatical prices shot up from the crowd. Time was passing fairly quickly, and with the next two girls shouts arose for $7000 and $5000! John stared in wide-eyed astonishment. "What the hell are these students?!" he cried. Poor starving children in Africa could have used that cash.

Actually, Johnathon was beginning to panic now. The prices had soared from the $200 for the first girl into the thousands now. And Lyra was last. She was the ending climax to the entire auction. Johnathon could only imagine what prices would be like for her! He was gripping Geno's check in his pocket now, a pained expression sweeping over his otherwise dull face. Dammit! The thought was involuntary, and John kicked himself for it realizing that the prospect of Lyra going out with other guys was infuriating him. Considering what he had said and denied in the past, he shouldn't be reacting this way. But what could he say now? Thank God Geno isn't sitting next to me, was all that he could think.

Lyra was on stage now. John's heart was beginning to pound like it never had before.

~Lyra~

Lyra was staring blankly at the ground, swaying slightly from side to side. It was obvious that she was totally spacing out. Lyra looked up slightly, and absently fumbled for another can of Mountain Dew, which she surprisingly grabbed on only her fourth try. She quickly opened the can, and chugged down the impossibly sweet fizz. She wiped her mouth, and tossed the empty can into the trash bin. She stretched her arms, and then, before she knew it, it was her turn to go up. She hadn't really been paying much attention, so she really had no clue who bid on who...but that didn't matter, she'd find out later.

She climbed onto the stage as she was announced and gave a big smile. She stood in the direct center where she was supposed to, and quickly surveyed the crowd. Her eyes inevitably fell on Johnathon, but she quickly tore her gaze away. A little blush might've been cute...but she was not going to let her face go absolutely firetruck red.

"Hello everyone!" she smiled, locking her hands together behind her, "My name is Lyra Connerson and I'm seventeen years old...

She thought for a moment and then laughed nervously.

WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT, LYRA?!

All of the other girls had probably won over the crowd by doing something adorable...and what did Lyra do? She stood there. She had to think fast...what was something she could do to win the crowd over? She didn't want to seem fake...yet she wanted to do SOMETHING.

ANYTHING.

Placing both hands over her heart, she gave a warm smile to the audience and said, "I look forward to spending the day with one of you!"

Brilliant. Simply freaking BRILLIANT, Lyra. Good job. And in case you didn't notice, I'm being sarcastic.

Running a hand through his messy hair, practically biting off the stub of his cigarette, John bent himself over in frustration. His hands were folded in front of his knees as he glowered at the ground. Repeatedly, all he could think to say was 'Dammit!' Bidding was beginning now, yet his heart was dropping so fast that he couldn't find the strength within to muster courage. He had a thousand dollars, but so what? Even with that kind of money, it was still highly possible that within a heartbeat he'd be outbid by some other fancy good for nothing rich kid from Capitol Hill.

But that simply wouldn't do. Lyra deserved more than some good for nothing! John's struggle was beginning to turn into fortification, and he lifted his head to the stage - to Lyra. Maybe he wasn't much better than a good for nothing rich kid. Maybe he wouldn't suit Lyra's needs, hopes, or desires for the day. But damn it all! he thought, if I don't give my best to please Lyra today!

Johnathon rose to his feet. His eyes were scanning the crowd amassed before him now, and as he picked out each and every susceptible bidding candidate, his hand rose to the breast pocket of his dress shirt. From it he retrieved a pen and a small slip of paper. "All or nothing," he muttered. In an instant, next to Geno's check clutched in his hand, Johnathon was clutching another $1000 note. He threw aside his cigarette, brushed the hair out of his face, and shouted "Lyra Connerson! One thousand dollars!!" He waited a moment, allowing the stares of those near him to cling, then shouted again (this time covering up his accent as best as he could), "TWO thousand dollars!"

Would anyone challenge him? If they did, he'd fight back. This is for Geno and the piano in the music room.

(Sorry it's not very high quality. I lacked motivation for this post.)

(Crappy post I know.)
Emma felt his embrace become tighter, but it didnt much faze her due to her mother having a similar grip. Her attention went back to Luna's face and she shrugged "I do like the outside but..what is that event inside? All I heard was bids and girls on stage...Are they buying girls?" Because in her book, that was similar to human trafficing...

Mirabelle Ami

Suddenly Ami was swept up off her feet - Alain was carrying her! Mission accomplished! "Up we go Miss Ami, please don't move to much and relax."

Ami giggled and smiled - "Whatever you say," she replied. It seemed Alain was doing whatever he could to resist her, which wasn't the smartest thing - She would find a way to make every last reluctant guy fall to her knees and worship her!

Oh, wait. She already could; She just chose not to.

A lot.

Like, a lot a lot.

Okay, Ami thought. That's it - I'm going to try and charm him. Ami gazed deep into Alain's eyes and tried to overpower him with all her strength - But something didn't seem right. She tried harder, then harder still, but he wasn't even moving closer to her a little. Sure, he was holding her already, but at least she could have made Alain peck her on the cheek or something.

Ami had to admit it - She had met her power's match. Ami winced as she stopped trying to charm Alain - She had been trying a lot harder than she meant to, it seemed. He's... So much stronger than I thought he would be, Ami thought.

By the time she finished her thought, she had been put in bed in the nurse's office.

You're welcomed to join me, Ami thought in one final attempt to charm Alain.

"Sorry for disturbing you Miss but this girl fainted in the hallways and I would like her to rest here if that is fine." Goooooood. Now, lay down with me. "I'm sorry for the rush but I have somewhere to go but I'll see you around Ami and Good day Miss."

"Aw, but I-" Ami started and sat up, but Alain was already gone.

I don't care how long it takes... I'm going to get that guy to- Ami managed to think before falling back onto the bed involuntarily. She couldn't move and her arms and legs hurt when she tried to move them... A dull pain covered her entire body as if she had just been hit with a hammer all over her body.

How hard was I trying to charm him? Ami thought, a bit of fear visible in her eyes. This isn't right. This really isn't right...

Maria Scarlette

Solaira was checking her out. She couldn't help but smirk mentally... She would need to de-ego herself later. Somehow.

Tonight Veronica's gonna have to insult me. A lot.

"Now come, let me escort you back to your quarters." Solaira offered her his hand - Maria took it and blushed. His hand almost covered her own completely, it seemed, since hers were so small and her fingers so short. Damn my hands, Maria thought. Can't play piano with them, can't fit them right with a guy's hand... Well, you get what you get, she figured, and she scored big time at least with the whole '2000+ year lifespan' thing. Speaking of which, her 1000th birthday would be coming up in a year or two...

Maybe she could spend it at Hawthorne.

Or, like any sane person, she could throw a party.

Once Maria had emerged from her over-thinking mind, she realized she was in the North Dormitory - Wonderful, Maria thought. He's probably been talking this whole time and you've been saying nothing.

"I-I'll go in and change," Maria said and opened the door to her room. "Or would you like to c-"

She stopped dead in her tracks. Solaira wants a date, not a show, you idiot!

"Nevermind!" Maria shouted and ran through the door. She peeked her head out and smiled. "Be out in a few minutes!" She shut the door and ran to her bed. She pulled her bags out from under the bed and rummaged through her clothes - Something nice needed to be in there, right? She didn't want to wear a dress because Solaira had said she looked uncomfortable in the dress she was wearing.

"Here!" Maria pulled out some clothes and threw them on her bed. She undid the laces and pins on her dress and let it fall off, then she slipped off her shoes. There. Now...

*Cough* BLATANTLYOBVIOUSREFERENCE *Cough*

Maria put on her hat and tipped it a bit, then she put her sunglasses onto the top of the hat. Then she slipped her socks on and pulled them to her thighs and ran for the door - She stepped into her shoes, tied them and tapped the toes of her shoes against the ground. "Good," Maria thought. "I like it. It's a bit over the top, but..." Maria opened the door, stepped out and shut the door behind her. She looked up to Solaira - Her face went bright red. Ohhhhh my God, he looks so much like Will... How am I going to handle this for a whole day?

"Do I look OK...?" Maria asked nervously.

(I can imagine this looking terrible on Maria, sadly, because of her hair - But since I'm too much of a lazy arse to make her an original outfit, here's to stealing content.)
