Fantasy Hawthorne Academy

As Mars was helping any students who had any questions, he was bumped into by someone from behind. Mars was able to keep his balance and avoid falling down, then turned to the apologizing boy who had bumped into him. "No worries." He waved a dismissive hand at him. "It's very busy around here, so it happens all the time." He looked at the boy, noticing his odd eyes. He would've remembered this person. "Your new. I'm assuming? Well, I'm a part of the student government, so if you need any help, just ask." Seeing the boy was a little flustered from bumping into him, he felt he had to calm him down a bit. "So, what's your name? I'm Mars, the student treasurer."

(I'm signing off for the night.)

"I noticed. I'm Geno." At least Mars seemed to handle it well, maybe he wouldn't have to deal with an angry student government. "Wait.. Mars.. I've heard that name. I think you're my roommate. We'll get to that later though, could you tell me where the orientation is held?" Geno sighed. He wasn't in the mood to talk to people, but he didn't know where to go now. He pushed his shades up, to make sure nobody noticed his eyes. He always had felt a bit awkward about them.

(Man I missed a lot! Sorry :()

Killua walked to his dorm dreading the thought of a roommate. Maybe it won't be so bad? Killua thought. Nope, its gonna be bad.. Killua decided. When Killua arrived he remembered that he had forgot his luggage, maybe it will be inside? Killua hoped. Killua unlocked the door and stepped inside. Eh.. Was all Killua could think of. Killua noticed his luggage on the bed and silently thanked god that he didn't have to go back to that crowded courtyard.

Killua sat on his bed and put his thumb and fore-finger together and made a static shock. Killua decided to find a place he could be alone and headed out the door into the hall. Killua walked over the the railing of the building, then started to climb. Killua reached the top in a matter of seconds, once he was there Killua sat on the roof and enjoyed the breeze. I wonder when classes start, I forgot to check. Killua thought lazily, then Killua dozed off.

Valentina flashed Leo yet another warm smile, seeing that her face was still a beet red color.

"Trust me. It's a big problem." She grinned, pushing herself off of Leo's bed and standing at the doorway of their dorm. She popped her head outside, watching some of the students find their dorms and socialize with one another.

"When is orientation supposed to start?" She asked Leo curiously, deciding to change to subject. It seemed like an hour or two had passed since she had been with Leo. Maybe it was getting close to starting?

Leo blinked rapidly a few times at the question. "Um... Probably soon..." She glanced around, then stood up to join Valentina at the door. "Do you think we should start heading there now...? I'm not entirely sure exactly where it is..."
Lyra began to protest at Veronica leaving, but before she could the Vice President was gone.
Traitor.

Looking back at Johnathon, Lyra locked her hands behind her back and said, "My name is Lyra Connerson."

And then, she noticed. The accent...the incredibly amazing, foreign, gorgeous Polish accent. Unfortunately, she had a weakness for such accents. Lyra stuttered for a moment and asked, "Are you from Poland? That's so cool! I wish I was from somewhere interesting...well, Germany might count as interesting, though I hardly think so because I can't speak a word--"

And she was off, rambling like she usually would. Once she caught herself, she stopped.

"Lyra Connerson." she said, answering his question again and bowing her head.
First day of school (only the first day!) and John had been hit with a curve ball he couldn't catch. He was only reminded his accent was notable when someone made it obvious, but whenever that did happen, it didn't happen like this! He stood blankly at Lyra, stopped dead in his tracks for the time being as she rambled. He wanted to say something like, 'Easy there, slow down,' but she was too quick for him; there wasn't even time to make a WW2 crack in reference to Germany.

It was then he noticed it. He was smiling. The thought hit home and aggravated him, and with difficulty frowning, reaching a strange hybrid between smiling and frowning, he cracked his jaw to wipe away the face he was making, fine-tuned his senses to ensure it didn't happen again. Honestly, he felt foolish. Even I'm human I suppose, he sighed inwardly.

Lyra stopped abruptly, lowering John's guard some. Now with a chance to respond to her introduction, he cleared his throat (something he does more frequently than others, due to a certain habit). "Then, Lyra, good to meet you." Her eyes caught his again, sending a strange feeling down his spine. Silver eyes. Just like his.

This time, when Lyra looked up at him, she kept hey eyes on his for a solid five seconds. He definitely was different, but she was fairly sure that it wasn't in a bad way. She could tell that by looking at those eyes...the rest of his body just said he was bad news, but there was something behind those silver eyes that let her know that he wasn't bad. This thought put her at ease, and she couldn't stop the corner of her mouth from twitching up into a smile.

"Good to meet you too, Johnathon." she said. "I look forward to seeing--"

And that's when Veronica came bouncing back up to her. She glanced at the hand sign that her friend quickly made, and Lyra gave a short nod. She leaned forward and whispered in the girl's ear, "Go inside and put on some more sunscreen, okay? Take a break and relax, I can handle it out here."

Stepping back slightly, Lyra reached her hand and gently took Maria's, giving a shake and said, "Hello, my name is Lyra."

She couldn't help but glanced over her shoulder and back at Johnathon. Had he smiled at her? Nobody smiled at her rambling...they scowled and told her to shut up. It was weird. She immediately looked away from him.

Stop staring, you creeper! Geez, Lyra!

It was if an unspoken understanding had been reached the very split-second Lyra held John's gaze. And as she smiled slightly, it seemed more sincere to John than the brief smile of greeting he had received not 5 minutes ago. Could it be he actually just enjoyed himself interacting with another human? A girl, nonetheless? Irony seeped into his head like a cold splash of water hits you in the face. And as she spoke the words, 'Good to meet you too, Johnathon,' he already knew what his response would be. Yet the chance never came.

A sudden, yet oddly familiar, shrill caught Johnathon's attention again and he sharply turned to see Lyra's friend, the vice president, come flying towards them. He found himself feeling mildly perturbed, but couldn't complain as the two quickly conversed. Johnathon had keen ears, keener than most, but he didn't bother to try and listen in. In this setting he would've normally reached for a cigarette, and he was about to when he felt the lacking presence of the cigarette box in his pants pocket. Confused, he turned both pants pockets inside out, yet nothing but a burned-out match fell to the ground. He had blown through his box on the long walk from the airport to the school. Damn.

Thinking of the airport, for the first time since getting off the plane, he considered the new, strange land he had entered into. John knew absolutely nothing about the climate, the inhabitants, local customs, or even the school! Other than the fact it was established for 'gifted' teens, such as himself, the rest was totally in the dark. But lord, had he done more thinking than usual today. Again he thought to reach for a cigarette, and then again remembered he had none. In response, almost involuntarily, his eyes turned towards Lyra, and it struck him to ask her about Germany - her homeland. They were, geographically speaking, both Poland and Germany, neighbors, and seeing as Lyra was both president of the student government, a naturally outgoing person, and was already enrolled at the school, she also appeared to John as a good source of information regarding the area. Yet would she want to talk to him? Formalities were quaint and such, but that said nothing about the actual person. She was only doing her job as school president after all, wasn't she? All at once, Johnathon thought about moving on to his dorm. Something still stopped him, however. Should I . . . say goodbye before heading out?

(Sorry, I had to sleep. Urg, timezones. xD )

Matt walked up to the huge gate of the school. Lots of people were pouring inside, but he could see that he was one of the last… well, not his fault that public transportation was the only option to get here. He had almost had a minor heart-attack doing the flight here from France, and thereby refused to take the bus or train. So he had walked.

He was quite the sight walking down the street. All his clothes were cloth sewn together in strange patterns, and he had spots of paint still on his hands. On his bag were his huge bag-pack that was filled with mostly art supplies, because he wasn’t sure how many supplies his art club would have and he didn’t want to not have something. He had a pair of headphones on, and music blaring out the sides of them. He let out a sigh of relief as he had finally made it here. He collapsed on a neatly placed bench when he was inside the area, and his hat dropped down in front of his eyes. A few paint-brushes fell out the side of his bag and rolled away, but he would pick them up later.

Nichole got out of her taxi and paid the driver. She grabbed her stuff walking through the gate.Nichole had her ear buds in and hummed a song. Her long black hair was down today and blowing in the wind. Nichole took out her earbuds as she came across the student council. "Hello." She said smiling. Nichole adjusted her skirt and cleaned her glasses."u-um where are the dorms please? " she asked.

Lyra, letting go of Maria's hand, turned around to face someone asking for directions. Pointing towards the North Dormitories, she explained, "If you head down that way for about ten minutes, you'll walk straight into the Girls' Dorms!"

Her pointing hand then dropped down to shake the girl's.

"My name is Lyra, Student Body President. If you have any questions..."

Lyra's eyes sparkled as she tapped a finger on the arm band.

"...just look for someone with the arm band!"

Feeling eyes on her, Lyra turned back towards where Johnathon was standing, expecting that he probably left while she was talking to the other students.

Well, he probably had to go find his dorm--

Freezing mid-thought, she was shocked to see him, still standing there. Looking at her. Why? Did he not understand her directions? Was he too embarrassed to ask?

Well, he'd be a lot more embarrassed if she flat out asked him if he was lost...

She'd wait for him to ask her.

Turning back towards Nichole, Lyra finished her greeting with, "Welcome to Hawthorne. I'm in your dorm, room D, if you ever need me."

Nichole nodded and said"thank you."bowing and got her things walking to the dorms. Nichole put her earbuds back in humming as she walked she looked around excited and nervous. She was nerveexcited! Nichole finally made it to the girl's dorms and went to dorm D finding her dorm and unlocked the door going inside. Nichole smiled unpacking and put up her posters and anime stuff. Nichole brushed her long black hair and then put it into a high ponytail. She then got a box of pocky and walked out smiling. The place looked amazing. Yet expensive.

Emma had been peeking from her blindfold to know where she was going. Sure, she could fight and dodge people and things, but she cant go somewhere without peeking into the world. She spotted a few people at the gates and since now she had a mental image, she put her blindfold down and approached one of the people and spoke "Hello." she simply said, keeping that mental image inside her head "Could you help me find the dorms..And help me know the campus." she wasnt embarrassed but the person was bound to say something rude or tell her to take off the dang blindfold.

Emily silently walked down the road towards her new school, Hawthorne academy. Her eyes wandering over the view while she dragged her suitcase with her stuff behind her. When she had reached her destination, she stood still. Once again staring at the view of the big school building. As she quickly got back to her senses, she rushed forward to the gate. That was when the 'I have no idea where to go' thought reached her. She scratched her neck and looked around to see if any guides of some sort were nearby.

"I'm lost on the first day.. Way to go" Sme muttred before leaning on the brick wall with her bag on the bround by her feet.

Matt lifted his hat a little and sat up properly when he had had a chance to catch his breath. “Ah great…” he mumbled when he noticed all of his stuff scattered all over the ground. He motioned the bag off of his shoulders, and went around to pick a few of the things up from the ground, gathering them in his arms.

Then he noticed one of his paint-brushes having rolled over toward a girl (EMILY), who was leaning against a wall. She looked lost… oh yeah, he was suppose to find his dorm. He had just been relieved to finally make it to the school after the long walk. When the girl set her bag down it landed right on top of the brush and he flinched, as if physically hit.

“Excuse me,” he said and looked over at her with a smile. “I think you set your bag on my paint brush, can I have it back?”

Crysta Chime walked across the campus and towards the school gates, expertly weaving through the students. Her blindness was never an issue, she could sense everything happening around her. Orientation was beginning soon, but the teacher figured shed mingle with some of the students. Stopping abruptly as she passed a girl leaning on one of the building, Crysta turned to the girl. Her eyes were hidden by a red sash, but you could tell by the rest of her face that she was kind. She placed both of her hands on the girl's face.

"Emily Hart, I do believe you are lost." she smiled. She turned onwards Matt and said, "Matt Dale. Help her."

Crysta resumed walking, and as she reached the gate, she carefully listened. Turning slightly, she reached out and put a hand on the blindfolded girl's shoulder.

"You are not blind." she observed. "Yet you wear a blindfold over your eyes...interesting...what is even more interesting is how well you can move with it on..."

It was almost amazing how Crysta could sense all of these things just by touching the girl. Then again, that was her power. Crysta thought for a moment, focusing harder on the girl. She had potential, definitely. Looking back at Emily, she nodded approvingly.

"I will help you." she smiled. "My name is Crysta Chime, I am the Meditation and Focus teacher...your name is..."

There was a pause as the woman thought, and then she grinned, "Emma, yes? Oh what luck! You and that girl over there will be rooming together this year."

Pointing towards Emily and Matt, Crysta smiled.

It was absolutely crazy how Crysta was just coughing up this information.

Emma didnt react as much when the girl had touched her shoulder. When she asked her name, she spoke "Emma Farris." she stated, continuing to listen to the girl who actually found her dorm partner. Emma wanted to see her but, with everyone looking here and there, she didnt want to accidently make eye contact with someone and scare them with her cursed eyes. Emma didnt say anything as she listen to the conversaion go on.

When a voice was heard near her, she quickly turned her head towards the boy the voice came from.

"Mh, sorry" She mumbled and lift up her bag from the brush, still looking straight at the boy.

"Do you have any idea where the girls dorm is?" She asked him and crossed her arms over her chest before turning her head around to see if she herself could find the building she was looking for. To no sucess. She turned back towards the brunette again.

(Now for the randomness of nichole dancing xD )

Nichole smiled exploring the school and said"ooh pretty flowers!" Smelling them. Even gave them a small bit of water. Nichole's song switched and she squealed loving this song. And started dancing to caramelldansen. She didnt care who saw! Nichole was having a fun time. And to her this was a fun workout.

He send her a smile, and crouched down to pick it up. Luckily no damage was done. “Thanks,” he said, inspecting the brush. Then he straightened back up, and put it in the pile in his arms. He blinked as someone new came over toward them, and ‘demanded' that he helped the girl… and she knew his name. This sure was a strange place…. he liked it.

“Yeah, sure,” he said, and nodded. He didn’t mind. He had been studying the schools lay-out before coming. He pointed over toward the dorms. “I think the girls dorm would be this way, I can show you the way. I just have to get this stuff into my bag first,” he said, looking down at the supplies in his hands.

"Ah, thanks" She simply said, also looking down at his supplies.

"Do you need help?" She smiled a very small smile while saying those words, the reason behind them was mostly because of politeness. She ran her fingers through her long pink hair while glancing at the boy in front of her. It was only now that she realised how tall he really was, he must have been at least a feet taller than herself. Once again she came to her senses and blinked a few times.

“Nope, I got it, just dropped a few things that needs to get back in place, you know. I just brought most of my stuff from home, since I had no clue if they would have what I wanted at this place,” he answered cheerfully, and started poking his brushes into the bag, into all the holes where they might fit into the mess of stuff. Then he grabbed his bag and slung it around his shoulder again. When he looked back over at her he noticed her gaze. “What’s up, have I got paint on my face again?” he asked and touched his cheek.

“Oh, by the way, as you might have heard before, I’m Matt,” he told her and reached a hand out toward her.

"ugh" Veronica stated as Lyra mentioned the sunscreen. "Just what I need. Things meant for living people. But I'll look stupid putting it on when the clouds are out". Of course, Veronica knew that Lyra treated her like a little sister and then gave in as she knew Lyra would give her the look that she always gave her. The look she knew as, "You should probably do what I say, little sis". Then Veronica would always return the look, "I'm older than you!!" As she would then try and playfully attack Lyra on her lower body, as she could not reach her face to tease. she then put both clipboard and pen in her side bag and then pulled out some sunscreen. It seems she caught Lyra's attention and delivered, " I hope ms. President does have her small speech made, yes?" Veronica then pushed the sunscreen out of it's capsule and spread it over her exposed arms, legs, and face. She felt icky.

Lyra grinned at Veronica and said, "I sure do. I still have to ask the boys whether or not they want to speak...I'm not going to make them, but it would be nice...you missed a spot."

Grabbed the sunscreen from the girl, Lyra started to smear the stuff on Veronica's face, beaming as she did. If there was one thing she liked more than forcing people to join her drama club, it was messing with Veronica. She got so adorably flustered, Lyra couldn't help it!

"I assume you're prepared with something, too? Scratch that, I don't assume. I know." she said, slathering some more sunscreen on the girl's neck. Handing the bottle back, she said, "There. You're perfect!"
