Fantasy Hawthorne Academy

~Lyra~

Lyra smiled, and she once again clasped her hands together under her chin as Johnathon addressed her. She almost wanted to laugh at how surprised he seemed to see her. He hadn't even realized how he had her in a complete trance.

"That was lovely! Simply beautiful--I thought you said you weren't a virtuoso! That was absolutely magnificent!" she exclaimed as she enthusiastically began to clap for the man.

You could practically see a light radiating off of her as she stood, her happiness was so intense.

Well, that light faded when her eyes fell upon the smoldering cigarette in his mouth. Her eyebrow twitched, and her smile slowly faded. Without a single word, she stopped clapping, took a few steps toward him, plucked the cigarette out of his mouth, and said, "Smoking...is bad for you..."

And with that, she tossed the cigarette out the conveniently placed window.

She smiled once again, and said as she looked over his face once more, "Much better...you look far better without that stick of death in your mouth!"

Stick of death?

Glancing up, Lyra noticed that a few other people had entered the room, one being...Calista! Yes!

"Calista!" she grinned, taking a few steps towards to girl, "I was wondering if you'd like to participate in the Charity Date Auction we're having at the student tea-party tomorrow!"

Glancing at Sora as well, Lyra grinned and said, "Actually, that was the reason I came in here in the first place. I think people would offer good money for a beautiful girl like yourself! What do you say?"

Suddenly, another girl had entered the room. She, too, was beautiful...but Lyra had her mind set on more than enough girls already.

"Hi, I'm Ami - Would anyone here mind showing me around the school? I just got here..."

Lyra blinked. Under normal circumstances, she would have immediately said yes...but she was so incredibly busy.

"I would, but I am dreadfully busy." Lyra said sheepishly, taking a step towards the newcomer. Taking one of the girl's soft hands in both of hers, Lyra grinned and said, "My name is Lyra, Student Body President. Who might you be?"

((Sorry if I forgot something! I have read posts to Giovia and Xavier, they will be up soon!))

"My name is Lyra, Student Body President. Who might you be?"

Ami blinked, her face blank and staring at Lyra - She didn't recognize her? Odd. She had been recognized by more than a few people here, having been on the cover of more than a few fashion magazines - Though, given this woman's clothes, she didn't seem like the type who would recognize her. Though she seemed a bit as if she would be competition, given she was the President.

Though something seemed off about how this Lyra girl was looking at her - Her pupils were dilated. And if she knew anything about that, it meant she thought she was sexy.

Ooh, Ami smirked - In her mind, she liked to think. Physically she didn't. This might be interesting.

"Mirabelle Ami - Former model, now a student at this school. Call me Ami, please - I-I don't like my name," Ami explained. She tilted her head to the side curiously, still looking into Lyra's eyes. She moved a little closer, almost nose to nose with her. Time to have a little fun with this, she thought. "Your eyes are beautiful. A wonderful shade of - Ah!" Ami 'fell' forward onto Lyra, landing on top of her, her lips pressed against Lyra's. Ami's eyes widened and she scrambled backwards, her face painted red with blush. "Uwaaah - I-I'm so sorry, Lyra! Oh, Ami-Chan's such an airhead..." Ami sat on her legs, looking down at her thighs and knocking on the top of her head with her hand. "So sorry... So, so sorry..."

That. That was incredible. I need to do that again!

(Yay, I did a long post - And hopefully it was fun/interesting to read! By the way, we need fanart of Ami's 'screwup'.)

Jonah rushed to the two following their battle, still somewhat put off by the fact that they really used dangerous weaponry. Even so, his eyes gleamed with admiration and ambition, and he couldn't help but gush, "You two looked like a movie! Is that what we learn here?"

Seeing this, however, the young man knew he was at a great disadvantage. The majority of his ability came in with some simple brawls. He knew how to punch and to keep swinging after a hit, but that was really it. He didn't even know to to crack a whip like the girl presumably did. How did you even fight with that thing?

Following the words of the other onlooker, Jonah happily supported them, "Hey, if there's going to be more, I'd love to watch if you'll have me. Heck, I'd start learning now if I could."

Geno opened his eyes after they finished the piece, and realized that an entire crowd had formed. Nichole was here, that one pink haired girl that had caught his eyes back in the cafeteria was here. "Ridiculous" He thought. "I don't even know her."

The student body president only further supported his theory when she walked straight for John. They didn't seem to know eachother fully, since she didn't know about his skill, so they did, indeed seem infatuated with one another. It was nice, in a way, but... Geno didn't know. He wasn't too familiar with this kind of thing.

He cringed as he listened to her talk to the girls. What were they talking about? Slavery? Prostitution?.. His thoughts were interrupted by a faint meow, and Sora rushing out. His thoughts immediately fell to Shinji and Kuro.. Well, if they were around and wanted to hang out, they'd probably find him. Besides, listening to this student interaction was fun.

He bowed to John after Lyra left them, and said "You definitely aren't bad. Let's play the minute waltz sometime, but we've got to make sure they have a concert grand first." He put aside the violin to listen to conversation that had popped up behind him, when another new girl showed up. She immediately seemed like the kind of girl he'd hate, but then again, so was his sister to begin with. He didn't notice the one black tear running down his cheek when the thought struck him, and now had a long black stripe in his face, leading to his right eye.

The new girl made a theatric fall and... Kissed Lyra? He sent a glance to John. This might be the moment of truth. (Soz, wouldve been longer if I didn't type it out on a cracked phone. I miss my keyboard.)

Sora heard talking and went back inside. She saw Lyra turn to her and asked her a question. "I think people would offer good money for a beautiful girl like yourself. What do you say?" An auction? "Oh uh.. Well.. Sure, ok." She told her completely shocked at what the girl had said.

Another girl came in the room. "Hi I'm Ami— would anyone here mind showing me around the school? I just got here.." She stated. Well, Sora was new aswell, so offering to tour the school with her would just mean it would be the both of them getting lost. Then, the girl she was talking to before answered. "My name is Lyra. Student Body President." Oh? The president? Well, Sora had to accept now. She made it a rule to always follow the superiors, even if it meant something bad for her.

"I'm Soraphine Grimaldo. Nice to meet you." She told Lyra.

Johnathon shifted awkwardly on the piano bench as Lyra exclaimed over him, stuttering some, "Uh . . . heh, well . . . " To be placed in such a predicament (though only for him) didn't look good on his character, but he seriously could not help it! She practically called him a virtuoso, and although he wasn't one to give easily into flattery, the smile on Lyra's face was so genuine that his chest couldn't help but swell with pride. He almost felt giddy. "Thank . . . you," he managed to say, though slower than his usual speaking pace.

Before he could say another word though, Lyra was approaching. Her face quite suddenly no longer held its cheerful elegance, but a disconcerting frown - one which John had never before seen. He arched his back on automatic as the girl approached him, and looking into her upset - yet cute- face, he desperately tried to turn away. Why is she looking with such loath at me, he inwardly whimpered. Then, with a slight snap of air, a pulling sensation nipped his lips. Lyra had taken his cigarette and chucked it out the nearest window. "Hey-- you, me-- who . . . what?" Perplexity smote Johnathon's face with a sudden slap. As he tried to complain, only nonsense spilled out of his gaping jaw.

"Much better...you look far better without that stick of death in your mouth!"

Death . . . stick? A stick of death? Johnathon rolled over the words in his head, unsure whether to take them as a compliment or not. But, soon though, he was feeling more annoyed than perplexed. What right had a girl to steal his possessions? And Polish cigarettes, nonetheless! How could he manage to find the Motherland's stock away from the Motherland? A frown was playing at his lips. Then, like a defiant child, he struck another match against the heel of his shoe and plopped another cigarette into his mouth. So there.

What victory he cherished was however short-lived, and Johnathon was slow to the game. If he had paid more attention, intervention could have taken place before the fact of such atrocity; atrocity that was . . . a woman KISSING Lyra.

"ATROCITY!" John belted, rising from his place on the bench, tossing aside his newly lit cigarette, and springing into action. "ATROCITY!" Within a second he was beside Lyra, one fist clenched, the other poised for action, and two eyes staring down the defiling woman meanly. "Such action," he panted, "is PROHIBITED. A music room!" He accusingly pointed at Ami. "This is a music room! All of the great composers were artists! STRAIGHT artists!" His panting grew heavier, and he himself looked ready to leap upon the woman in rage. His outburst was over the top, immature, and uncharismatic; yet no for a single split-second did John even think over his actions. ATROCITY.

~Lyra~

Lyra smiled at the girl. Mirabelle Ami...huh, pretty name. Maybe Lyra would get the girl to participate in the auction. Who would want to turn down a former model? Just then, when Lyra wasn't even paying attention, the girl's noses were nearly touching as Ami said, "Your eyes are beautiful. A wonderful shade of - Ah!"

With that the girl began to trip. Lyra gasped, and let out a slight squeal as the two tumbled to the floor. She moaned slightly, as the pressure on her bruised up hip was anything but pleasant. She was about to ask the girl if she was alright...but the was something on her mouth...something soft and warm.

Lyra opened up her eyes, and immediately whipped her face to the side upon seeing Ami's face hovering right above her...no...she couldn't have...did Ami just...KISS Lyra?! The next thing the President knew, the girl was sitting up and apologizing profusely as Johnathon came by, obviously enraged.

Lyra just stared blankly at the ceiling. She was probably in a state of shock.

"H-h-hey Johnathon..." she mumbled, still sprawled onto the floor. "...my first kiss...gone..."

She pouted, and then sat up, still phased. She blinked at Ami, who was still apologizing, and smiled nervously, "It's...fine. A-a-a-a-accidents happen, right?"

With that, she glanced at Johnathon again and managed to sit herself up, her cheeks burning with embarrassment. She gently touched her lips with her index and middle fingers, and then groaned, sprawling back onto the floor.

~Professor Xavier Caige~

Xavier raised both of his hands in victory as the girl sprawled off of the mat. He was never very good at being a good winner...nah...if he won at something, he was going to milk it for all it was worth. He beamed down at her and said, "I told you I'd win didn't I? Ahahahahahahaha!"

Just then, she spoke. Xavier shut up.

"I lose. You're really strong, though...Really, really strong! I don't think I've ever been beaten that fast,"

As the girl fell, Xavier had managed to run over to her with such amazing speed that he surprised even himself. He dropped to his knees beside her and immediately began taking off her helmet.

"Yeah, you fought alright...you'll only get better." he smiled as she discarded the girl's armor, piece by piece. "Are you alright? I hope I didn't hit your legs that hard...do you need to go to the nurse? Are you in serious pain?"

Xavier might've been a cocky man most of the time, but he knew how to be serious. If a student was hurt near him, he'd always be right there. Xavier placed a hand on the girl's forehead as he leaned over her, her expression completely serious.

"So, are you up for it?"

Xavier looked at at Mars, only barely catching the last few words that he uttered. Xavier could only assume the boy DID want to spar, but it would have to wait.

"I have to make sure she's okay, and then dinner and the student party or whatever it is should be starting. Maybe tomorrow?" he suggested.

~Kahra~

Upon hearing the slightly accented voice, Kahra glanced up. She blinked at the boy, and shook her head.

"N-no, I'm not lost." she said, hopping up from the bench. "Just thinking...well, not really thinking. Relaxing, I suppose...well, I do think. A lot. But I don't OVERTHINK, you know? I was just sitting there not thinking about...much...um...well, that's not true, a lot is on my mind actually...oh, my name is Kahra! Kahra Weatherstone! It's so good to meet you!"

It was amazing how quickly the words spilled from her mouth, and it would be even more amazing if someone could understand what she was saying. The only things that one MIGHT get from her rambling would be, "No, I'm not lost...thinking...relaxing...overthink...sitting here...Kahra Weatherstone."

The girl smiled back at the boy and tilted her head.

"Aleksander...Denucio? That is Italian, isn't it?" she asked.
"Yes that is Italian! I'm glad you recognize it!" Aleksander said, smiling brightly. Aleks was always happy and proud of his Italian heritage and took great joy when someone recognized it. After the girl sent out a flurry of words, he just chuckled and sat next to her.

"I hope you don't mind me sitting here. I was just wondering why you're all alone by yourself? To be perfectly frank, you look very lonely and lost. Something seems to be on your mind. You don't have to tell me of course but it's not good to hold things in."

~Kahra~

Smiling again at Aleks as he sat, Kahra was about to go into another spiel about how she and her parents had gone to Rome for two months when she was little, but he had said something else before she was able to.

"I hope you don't mind me sitting here. I was just wondering why you're all alone by yourself? To be perfectly frank, you look very lonely and lost. Something seems to be on your mind. You don't have to tell me of course but it's not good to hold things in."

Kahra's smile faded slightly, but she let out a small giggle and said, "Sometimes holding things in is the best thing to do."

She shrugged, and her smile brightened again.

"I am a little lonely, I haven't made any friends yet..." she sighed, still with a smile on her face. "I keep trying to find my sister so I can talk to her...but she doesn't seem to want anything to do with me."

Kahra shrugged, and then looked back at him again, "Hey, how about we be friends, 'kay?"

~Professor Giovia Eriwind/Headmistress Kinya Weatherstone~

As Veronica explained the situation, Giovia had gotten up to grab a piece of paper and a pen to write down everything the girl was saying. Kinya raised an eyebrow as the girl mention an...auction? Headmistress Weathstone took a seat and crossed her arms, seeing if anything Veronica was saying even slightly resembled anything she had read in the library earlier that day.

Giovia looked up at Veronica stopped speaking, and then at Kinya. She tilted her head and asked, "I hope you have an explanation for this..."

Setting down the paper, the Professor began to rummage around in some of her cabinets.

Kinya tapped her fingernails against her mask and mumbled, "...love..."

She reached into her bag and pulled out the book that she had taken from the library. Flipping through the pages, she quickly found what she was looking for.

"In fairytales, you often see the classic 'true love's first kiss will lift the curse'. This concept was originally derived from a certain sort of curse. Usually, people hosting this curse find the opposite sex quite unappealing, which makes the curse very difficult to break. The form of this curse may take on a physical form, but only in extreme cases." Kinya read. She looked up at Veronica and said, "I am aware of your loathing for men...maybe we're onto something."

Kinya continued reading.

"Occasionally, the curse will 'glitch' in and out, causing the host to feel the compassion that they would if they weren't cursed." she muttered. "The one way to life this curse is for the host to genuinely fall in love with someone. A love so strong that it completely surpasses the curse--oh brother..."

Kinya couldn't help but roll her eyes. It was so cliche...she didn't actually think it was possible, either.

"Veronica, does this sound accurate?"

"I have to make sure she's okay, and then dinner and the student party or whatever it is should be starting. Maybe tomorrow?"

Mars sighed and nodded. "Yeah, that sounds good." He then turned towards the man who had interjected slightly before. "Well, I guess you'll have to watch some other time." He turned and walked away before giving him a chance to talk, waving from over his shoulder. He had forgotten the student party was fast approaching, so Mars couldn't exactly train in case he injured himself, and that was even more sure when practicing his new technique. From the previous times working on it, he had burned his arm and had before even launching the high powered fire missile he had been trying. Too much fire and pressure in a short amount of time was his assumption. There had been many trips to the nurse because of it.

Walking outside, he pondered what to do next. Maybe I should start my investigation on what is going on with Veronica? His curiosity on the subject hadn't faded, and he was still intent on finding out some way or another. Of course, there was the chance she was just feeling off and slightly ill, but if he found that out it was still a success. I should let things sit for a day, then see how things are tomorrow.

He thought about heading back to his room to do some extra work, but he quickly discarded that idea when he remembered that there would be time after the party. Maybe I should go find Lyra, see if she's fine. He nodded at this idea, then quickly shook his head. Why did he want to check up on her? He never did before, as he usually stayed out of someones personal business unless he was curious. Was it Johnathan? No, he had already deduced that Lyra was obviously attracted to the smoker, so he shouldn't be curious about that. Maybe it was the fact that she WAS attracted to him that made him feel like checking in on her. But why? Confused and frustrated at being unable to figure out the meaning of his actions, Mars dropped down on the grass. He noticed two girls thirty or so feet in front of him on a bench, but that didn't concern him. He laid back and closed his eyes, hands behind head. Maybe a good nap will clear my mind.

Mirabelle Ami

"...my first kiss...gone..."
Ami flinched at this. Come ON, am I really THAT bad?! For Christ's sake, I'm a-

"ATROCITY!" A man marched to Lyra's side, clearing angry and with his fists clenched at his sides. Who's that? Maybe her boyfriend, or just a friend... "ATROCITY!" The man repeated, his voice cracking in the process. "Such action is PROHIBITED. A music room!" The man was clearly flustered. He was definitely her boyfriend. "This is a music room! All of the great composers were artists! STRAIGHT artists!" At this point, Ami wanted to punch this guy. He's being such a child, Ami thought, And it was an ACCIDENT - Er, not really, but it looked that way. Can he see through that kind of thing?

"I-It was an accident, I swear! I'm so sorry!" Ami pleaded, acting faux-flustered. "I was just interested in her eyes, and then I lost my balance-"

"It's...fine. A-a-a-a-accidents happen, right?" Lyra looked traumatized. MY GOD. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE. It was surprising, but was she a bad kisser or something? That was interesting, though. If I'm lucky, maybe we'll be sharing a room...

Nichole blinked and wondered what the hell just happened. She slowly inched to the door and said"ok this is getting weird."Then ttripped landing on her face."owww.....ugh not again!" Standing up and grumbled seeing her lens cracked some. She dusted herself off and patted her skirt down. "Why am I such a clutz?" Nichole patted her cheeks and shook her head. "Ok time for vocaloid!" Walking to where she left her radio and grabbed it walking to another side of the room. Nichole sighed and played some music calming down. She smiled and tapped her foot singing 'the game of life.'

Maria Scarlette

"Are you alright? I hope I didn't hit your legs that hard...do you need to go to the nurse? Are you in serious pain?"

"Oh? Yeah, I think I'm fine," Maria gave Xavier a reassuring smile and tried to stand up, but lost her balance again immediately. She yelped and fell forward. "OK, maybe I'm not," Maria muttered nervously. "C-Could you help me get to my room? You don't have to if you don't want to, though, and if you think I should see the nurse..." Maria paused and thought for a second. "I'm fine. I'm fine... Don't worry about me." Maria stumbled to her feet and walked to the door, her legs trembling a bit. Upon reaching the door, Maria turned around and looked at the Professor, a smile dominating her face.

"We need to do that again sometime," Maria said, "When I'm stronger." She walked out the door and toward her dorm.

No...This can't be happening...

LOVE

What the hell is that? Was this even real? Maybe she really was dead but she surely wasn't capable of knowing what love was. That was human. That wasn't like her. Even if it was love, it obviously couldn't break the curse. True loves kiss!? Veronica couldn't believe what she was hearing. She got up from her seat and walked out of the room in a way that would seem offensive. There was no way any man could love her. There was no way she could love a man in any way. But was it truly because of her hatred of them?

"Thank you for your help, I need to go now." Veronica said as she slammed the door behind her. Obviously embarrassed but she was in much more pain than before. All she could feel was hatred. All she felt was the hurt she felt a long time ago. The tears started to come back. Then eventually, Veronica could also feel her fangs hurting in her gums. There was a thirst coming on. She had to feed soon. But now was not the time, so she controlled herself as she did for many years. Now was time to just sit down and think.

This curse was taking her life. She knew that. But it seemed somewhat of a deeper hurt to her. Emotional. How would Lyra feel if I died? How would the student body feel if this curse got worse and worse? Thoughts flooded her mind. Veronica knew it was time to do something. She was going to have to make some one fall in love with her. And soon too. This was not going to go away so easily. Veronica built up the courage and pulled her cellphone out. She knew what she had to do. She knew she didn't need the help of anyone. No one could stand in her way.

It was now time to make grandfather proud. It was time to stand up and be the woman she was made to be. Veronica then pulled out her cellphone and went to the messaging app sending a message to Lyra:

To: Lyra Connerson <3

Subject: Urgent

Put me back on the list. I'll be joining the party.

She put her phone away and then smiled. Time to fight.

"I have to disagree with that miss. Sometimes people think they're strong enough to hold it in but all it's really doing is eating them from the inside and crushing them." Aleksander replied. He thought for a moment but then smiled. "But to each man his own as they say."

Not one to argue, Aleks would say his opinion but would not pursue and become hostile, arguing his opinion was better. Aleks smiled wider when she smiled again. He really did like it when people smiled but frowned slightly when he heard about her sister.

"Ah I see. That is hard, no? Things take time, perhaps you should wait a bit before trying to approach her. Let her get used to you being around before talking to her." Aleksander suggested. He grinned widely when she asked to be friend. "Of course, I love having friends, friend."

~Kahra~

Kahra listened to him speak, surprised at what he said. For a student, he was fairly wise...it was refreshing, almost.

She shrugged at the advice he gave her about Kinya, and said, "My sister and I don't have a...normal relationship, I guess. It's going to take a lot more...but that's such a depressing subject! I'm sure I'll figure it out!"

Suddenly, Kahra felt the tickle of something crawling up her bare leg. Did she dare look? She slowly looked down, and right on her knee was the biggest, ugliest, nastiest cricket she had ever seen.

Well, then again, that's what she thought about them all.

She stared at the bug in silence for a moment, eyes wide. It was almost like she wasn't processing that this horrible creature was actually on her leg...how did it get all the way up to her knee?! Kahra blinked at it a few times.

Chiiiirp!

The girl let out an ear piercing shriek as she violently jerked her leg into the air, just barely missing Aleksander's neck. The cricket happily hopped onto the boy's shoulder.

Aleks' eardrums pretty much burst when Kahra let loose her piercing shriek although he also had to worry about the leg that somehow almost hit his neck.

Wow she must take gymnastics! He thought as he dodged the leg. The source of her scream jumped onto his soldier. Just a little cricket, harmless really. Ah I see, she is afraid of crickets. However, as much as Aleks enjoyed things, he wasn't much of a bug lover.

"Ciao il mio piccolo amico." Aleks murmured. He let the cricket move around and placed his hand where it walked so it went on his hand. "Devi lasciare ora, viaggi sicuri piccola."

He dropped it onto the grass and watched it skitter away into the grass. He turned back to Kahra and smiled.

"See? Harmless critter. He's gone now. Nothing to worry about."

(Thank you Google Translate *^*-b)

Nichole finished her song and sighed. Once again ignored. She stood grabbing her radio walking out but forgot her lyric book. Which had really good songs written into it. Nichole sat in the garden lost I thought. She sighed and made different shapes with water. She didnt know what was happening to her. Nichole shook her head and forced herself to smile once more. Nichole sighed and slapped herself a few times. "Smile. Smile. Smile. Remember smile. Dont ever frown or anything. " smiling now.

~Kahra~

Kahra, with both hands over her chest, stumbled away from Aleksander and the cricket. She watched, her eyes glistening with tears as the boy spoke softly to the bug and placed it in the grass. The cricket proceeded to hop away happily, and Kahra looked back at Aleksander as he spoke directly to her. He spoke so gently...and she couldn't help but be put as ease.

"I...I am sorry..." she mumbled, rubbing her eyes and smiling sheepishly. "I don't...really like insects."

She hugged her arms, thought for a moment, and then gasped.

"I almost kicked you right in the face, didn't I?!" she gasped, clapping both of her hands over her mouth. "I am so sorry! I overreacted...it's just a reflex...I-I don't know much about bugs, so I don't know which ones can hurt me...they're all horrible..."

She shuddered and bowed her head again, nervously kicking at the grass. She almost laughed, and said, "What a pathetic fear...I need to get over it!"

Aleksander laughed heartily.

"It's okay. We all fear something. We are humans no?" He replied, smiling. "That's what people like me is for! I am here to protect against anything. Even crickets!" Aleks laughed brightly.

He sighed as he wiped the tears from his laughing away. Aleks checked the time and stretched, then getting up.

"It's about time for the student party I was hearing about. Care to come along? I'll protect you from the crickets on your way there." Aleks teased gently, although his eyes were bright with humor.

~Kahra~

Kahra blinked up at him, and nodded. She looped her arm through his and said, "I'll take you up on that! You shall protect me from the crickets, grasshoppers, spiders, ladybugs, butterflies..."

Kahra proceeded to list every single insect known to man (mostly) as they walked. You could tell she was focusing very hard on where she was walking, and each step was perfectly choreographed so she wouldn't accidentally kick over an ant hill or squash a praying mantis. Whenever she WOULD happen to see a bug, she's hop over it, using Aleksander's arm to hoist herself up. Every time she would, she'd just smile and thank him politely, and they'd continue on their way.

As the two neared the student party, which was being help in a simple gymnasium, some students were already flooding into the place. She grinned, and said, "Oh, listen to that music!"

She couldn't wait to get out into the middle of the dancefloor to show off her mad dancing skills (which she did not have).

ATTENTION! The Student Party is Beginning! Please Have Your Character Start Heading Over to the Gymnasium! If You Don't Want Them to Attend...YOUR LOSS!

Maria Scarlette & Mirabelle Ami

Ami backed out of the music room awkwardly and started to run down the hall away from the music room. Moments after leaving the room, she collided with something small, and she heard a 'thump' noise like something falling over. Was it even a something? Maybe it was a person... Whatever it was, it definitely wasn't letting her go forward. Ami looked down at a petite silver-haired girl who she had knocked over, who she must have bumped into. She looked like she would be cute if she didn't look so angry at the time. She stood up and looked Ami dead in the eyes.

The little girl growled and clenched her right hand into a fist. She's actually scaring me, Ami thought, her eyes wide with fear. Somehow-

Before she could finish her thought, the girl had hit her upside the chin with an uppercut. Ami landed on her back, the wind knocked out of her - Partially from surprise and partially from impact with the ground. The girl continued walking along as if nothing had happened. Ami stayed just where she was, too shocked to even move.

Did that really just happen?

Veronica heard the announcement over the intercom. It seemed as if the orientation party was starting for the new students so it was probably best to head over there now. So she walked to the gymnasium, doing so, she checked her phone in the meantime. It seemed Lyra hadn't seen the message yet, but if she could meet Lyra at the gymnasium she wouldn't have to worry about the message and could just tell her in person. She probably was going to see headmistress here too. Then would be a good time to tell her apologies for running out of the room so quickly.

She grabbed the door handle and made her way in, seeing all the decorations put up and students intermingling in the center. Veronica looked around and walked to the center where some chairs were located. She sat and checked the curse on her chest. Making sure no one else could peek. It was stable at the moment and it didn't seem as if it was hurting much. But just in case. Veronica took another painkiller to make sure there was no longing pain.

Dream sequence alert!

~

It was in the middle of the afternoon, Blake just finished the last of the bouquets, stunning red roses that were a velvety dark red. Blake always thought roses looked a bit stuck up and cliché but even he had to admit the bouquets were looking classy and vibrant. From behind him the manager of the shop whistled at the amount of bouquets that were scattered around the area.

"Well I think this is enough, the soon to be Mrs. said that she needed around 50 bouquets, why don't you take the rest of the day off?"

Nodding his head and thanking his boss for the sudden day off Blake took his apron off that was covered with stem clipping and dirt and walked out of the flower shop. Immediately exiting the premises light glared into his eyes making Blake squint until his eyes were used to the light. It was a quiet and peaceful walk to his apartment building that he shared with his boyfriend. Upon entering the building he checked his mailbox but found it was already empty.

I wonder if the check came...

Currently Blake was waiting for his grandfather's life insurance check and account to his estate. He already knew what he was going to spend some of it on, a house and money for law school...for his boyfriend. Than he'd use the rest so he could quit his job and focus on maintaining the house and making sure his boyfriend didn't starve to death…and maybe some therapy for his boyfriend as well. He had yet to tell his boyfriend about this but was probably going to spring this on him over dinner tonight. Walking up the stairs Blake’s thoughts wondered to the future, he’d already had a house in mind, a simple one story house with two bedrooms, and bathroom, a nice kitchen, and living room, a sun room where both of them could enjoy tea peacefully, not to mention a nice yard with plenty of gardening space (a secret guilty pleasure of Blake’s) reaching his apartment Blake tried the doorknob and found it was unlocked. Entering said apartment Blake looked around, it was a quaint little apartment that smelled of tea and old books. Though comfortable admittedly it was cramped and not in the best part of the neighborhood. Walking over to the kitchen Blake was about to start lunch by cutting up some tomatoes when he saw one of the knives were missing and near the place where they stored knives was a letter addressed to him.

What the hell? He knows I hate it when he opens my mail

The letter looked to be the real estate information he sent for a while back.

About to pick it up Blake felt an arm wrap around his neck in a choke hold and a hand holding a shining knife unsheathed near his right eye.

“You thought you could leave me so easily?” An all too familiar voice whispered in his ear.

End of Dream sequence

~

Blake woke up in a slight cold sweat. His heart was pounding, his breath was short, and he was trembling a bit. Laying there for a few seconds to calm himself down Blake finally felt his heartbeat slow down and his shaking subside. Looking at the scenery he found he was in his dormitory and in the room was Shinji casually reading a book.

What the…

Now staring at the ceiling Blake cycled through his memories. He remembered talking to Shinji and then…passing out? Racking his brain for more information he also remembered Shinji…carrying him…and worse of all Blake remembered his delirious confession to Shinji. Feeling his cheeks heat up Blake let a moan slip followed by a face palm.

“Crap…”

Mars opened his eyes as the intercom announced the party was beginning soon. "Well, looks like I'll just have to get some sleep some other time." picking himself off the ground, he headed to the gymnasium. Parties weren't really his thing, but he was a part of the student council, plus it never hurt to show up. entering the gym, he was blasted with a loud assortment of sounds. Why do they always have to play music so loudly? Sure, he liked music, but not at ear-deafening volumes. It could be the fact that he was just sleeping a second ago (for a few minutes, but still sleeping), but it was definitely not quiet.

He wasn't very sure what he should do now that he was there. he definitely wasn't going to dance, so that was that. Maybe I should wait for a few members of the student council to show up? He liked this idea, as it afforded him time to figure out what to do. Scanning, he noticed Veronica was sitting by herself near the center of the room. This was a good chance for him, since he could start figuring out about what was bothering her. Taking a seat near her, Mars adjusted his hair before speaking. "How's it going Veronica? I couldn't help but notice you were acting strange during the meeting earlier today. Is everything okay? If it's something I can help with, then shoot. I'm pretty good at solving complicated problems if I do say so myself, as long as they don't involve being compassionate." He chuckled nervously at his own dig towards himself. He wasn't too good at being supportive, so even though it was for investigative purposes only, he was very unsure if what he was saying was proper.
