~Professor Crysta Chime~

The Meditation and Focus teacher was once again sitting cross-legged on her floor, quietly mumbling, "Sun, moon, earth, sky..."

Then she felt it. Sighing, she opened her electric yellow eyes. Nobody had seen her eyes for years...not that she really cared if anyone saw, but she just kept the blindfold on all the time. Grabbing the piece of red piece of satin folded beside her, the teacher carefully tied it over her eyes. She stood up, and was still for a moment.

Confusion...he is lost. Italian. Name? I'm not sure...he belongs in Healing and Protection 101...standing outside of my classroom.

Crysta silently opened the door that lead into the hallway. Yes, he was definitely lost. She could feel that much.

"You..." she called after him. "You are lost. What is your name?"

That was a question she didn't have to ask often.

Geno whistled. "I guess it's none of my business, but may I inquire about why you've got a cat with you? Not that I'm criticizing you, I like animals." He realized that this guy probably could see his eyes, but he decided that it really didn't matter all that much. He offered his hand for a shake, and said "I'm Geno." He tilted his head, and added "And what's up with the mask? The air is fine as far as I can tell."

Aleksander turned and saw a woman who asked his name. Definitely a teacher but he was quite surprised by the cloth around her eyes. He hadn't read anything in his books about having cloth around one's head in England. He kinda of just awkwardly stared at her. Not sure how to really respond.

Oh I get it. It must be a form of a respectful greeting!
Aleksander thought suddenly. He quickly found a piece of cloth in his bag and tied it around his head as well, covering his eyes. Now he couldn't see but at least he knew the direction of where the woman was.

"Hello. My name is Aleksander Denucio." Aleksander replied, now 'blind' and somehow talking in the opposite direction of the teacher.

Shinji just chuckled and took the cat back into his arm, stroking its' black fur with gentle touches of his fingers,"He's a friend, someone who I keep with me at all time." Shinji said, the answer that he gave being confusing as it sounded but he wouldn't tell the reason of why Kuro was with him, Kuro was something special and no one should know that reason.. yet.

Staring at the hand that was offered, Shinji took his gloved hand into the handshake and shook the hand of the boy, who introduced himself as Geno. With a smile that was hidden under his mask, Shinji decided to befriend this boy,"Shinji, Shinji Aramaki." Shinji said and looked down to the cat in his arm that continued to purr nonstop,"And this is Kuro. Nice to meet you Geno." Shinji said and let Gen's hand go, back to petting Kuro.

~Professor Crysta Chime~

Crysta desperately tried not to burst into laughter, sensing him tie his own "blindfold" over his eyes. She could read that he honestly thought that this was how people greeted eacother in her Country. He was so dorky and innocent that he very much resembled a seven year old, in her opinion. Crysta considered making him feel guilty and making a crack about him ridiculing her blindness, but for some reason, she didn't. Messing with her students was incredibly fun, pretending to misunderstand their intentions and taking fake offense.

Approaching him and gently turning him to face her, she said, "I appreciate the spirited greeting, but I assure you that we don't greet eachother this way, Aleksander."

She expertly removed the piece of cloth from his eyes and held it out to him, smiling sweetly.

"I simply wear the blindfold because I can't see." she smiled, reaching out and touching his face to get more information. Crysta wasn't expecting what happened next. She almost instantly drew back her hand, not being able to gather any information about this boy. His aura was incredibly strong, projecting the pictures and colors of pure good. She had only seen one other person with such pureness, and for the first time in ages, the teacher was unsettled. For the first time in ages, she couldn't determine what this meant.

He watched the cat as he stroked it. "I see. Well, I'm not sure, I'm new here, but isn't there some sort of rules against bringing animals to class?" He decided not to pursue the question about his mask, as he completely ignored his question. He probably had good grounds to do so, and Geno didn't want to offend this guy. After all, he was the first person he had met who wasn't loud, or emotionally unstable.

He leaned back in his seat and looked around the room. "You don't happen to know which one of those teachers from earlier we have? I... Didn't exactly pay attention..." Which he hadn't. Listening to people he doesn't know/care about isn't his forté.

~Lyra~

Lyra's heart (and thoughts) were racing as the scene unfolded between Johnathon and herself. Of course, they went pretty unnoticed by the class, who were busy reading over their evaluations, asking questions, and talking to eachother. Lyra was thankful for that, or the overall situation would probably be so embarrassing that she'd have to go crawl into a hole or jump off a bridge. Though seeing his cheeks matching the color of hers made her feel slightly better...but just a moment ago when he had put his hand over hers, even though it was obviously unintentional, she couldn't help but feel her heart jump at his touch.

She still didn't know why.

Then, Lyra had a revelation...sort of.

Johnathon controlled temperature, which was hot and cold, and hot and cold in German was heiß und kalt (some of the few words Lyra managed to learn before she violently quit German). Heiß und kalt start with "H" and "K". The "H" stood for "He's". The letter "k" makes the same sound as the letter "c", and the "C" stood for "Contagious"...

He's Contagious?!

It was so obvious! Johnathon was sick, and he was giving whatever he had to Lyra! That would explain why they were both all red and jumpy!

~Professor Xavier Caige~

Xavier walked into the Training Room to see some students were already there and waiting to start class. His hands were slightly charred from blasting himself up into the sky. It didn't hurt, of course, it never did. Though he wished that he was able to wear gloves so his hands wouldn't get blackened every time he used his powers. Then again, he didn't exactly want to remember the time that he DID wear gloves.

Rubber gloves.

It took forever to get that melted gunk off of his fingers, and the stench was unbearable. People avoided him like the plague. Xavier sighed, shaking his head.

Last year was just not a good year.

The teacher crossed his arms and looked over his class. His named was already scrawled on the blackboard behind him, and he began, "I am Professor Xavier Caige. Now, I'm only going to say this once...I am the type of person who you want to get on the bad side of."

He crossed his arms and leaned back on a wall.

"Don't make me regret writing you those acceptance letters." he growled. If one was looking close enough, you'd swear you saw FIRE in his eyes.

It was scary.

"Now, I have some evaluations here for you. I would've loved to write out techniques FOR you...but I have a life. All of you are surely creative enough to come up with your own techniques--ah, that's a good assignment. Tonight, you will think of techniques. Write them down, as many as you can, but I'll accept just one."

With that, Xavier started passing out the sheets, saying, "These are basically evaluations of your powers, and suggestions of what sort of technique will be beneficial for you."

Ah, shapeshifting. If I were in charge, I'd have placed you in Protection and Healing 101...but then again, your power is very useful for fighting. I feel you'd be best for long-ranged combat, turning into different things sporadically to confuse your enemy. Though this only makes a good distraction, which is why I have joined you with another Combat student and her protector.

Partner(s): Lyra Connerson, Aleksander Denucio, and Valentina Locke

You are lucky, you have a power that will help you excel easily in this course. Though you would be good in hand-to-hand combat, I suggest you consider focusing on range. Making lightning strike down on your enemies from afar and such...

Partner: Veronica Elizabeth McCarter

So you can turn into a jaguar, eh? This is a very good ability for fighting small enemies, but the larger ones you are going to need help, so I have placed you in a group of four with another Combat student and two protectors. Your power, of course, will be most useful in close combat. You also have extreme stealth, which is useful for when you want to AVOID enemies.

Partner(s): Umbra Vang, Lyra Connerson, Aleksander Denucio

The power of electronics. This power is either a hit or miss...you'd be the hero in a situation where you are fighting robots or mechas, probably being able to win in a matter of seconds...but in an organic environment, most of your powers would be pretty useless, though I understand you can create a sort of weapon from sparks? This is good. You would be good in close range combat.

Partner: Mars Porter

Telekinetic powers are always useful in combat, and you can do a lot with them...as long as you have bountiful surroundings. You wouldn't do very very in an empty space, so I suggest you start carrying around loose bullets to launch at your enemies. You will be most useful as a range fighter.

Partner: Maria Scarlette

Your power is extremely dangerous. I trust you are able to take down any wired you leave behind? Since these wires are unseen, you must have very good memory. You are what I call a trapper, a kind of combat where the fighter sets up a lethal trap using their powers and luring their enemy into it.

Partner: Nichole Kudo

Your ability is very...interesting. I wasn't sure about it, so see me after you read this and tell me what you can do with it.

Partner: Calista Vance

Stone hands? AWESOME! Um, I mean...you would be very good in hand-to-hand combat, naturally. You know, pound in the faces of your enemies and whatnot. It'll get a bit bloody. You will prove fairly useless in range.

Partner: Johnathon Szczyz

You are an illusionist, an art that the Japanese know as Genjitsu. Your ability will be difficult to use in combat, but when used correctly, it can be super effective. If you find a trench, cliff, etc, create the illusion that it is not there. Lure your opponent over the cliff/trench. You will prove useful as a trapper.

Partner: Emma Farris

Do I really have to evaluate your power? Your shadow can tear things a part. You'd be good in range, depending on how far the sun/lighting stretches your shadow...just make sure you are out of reach. You will be absolutely useless in the complete darkness, so stay away from it when you can.

Partner: Blake Jones

Aleksander nodded. That was a relief. He only brought a certain amount of cloth with him and it was mostly for cleaning his supplies. He didn't want to spend any

"Oh I see." He said. Who knows if he actually knew.

He was a bit curious why she started to touch his face but to each man his own. He didn't mind until she drew back her hand in surprise. Aleks gave her a quizzical look.

"Is everything alright?"

~Professor Crysta Chime~

Crysta said nothing. What had just happened? It was not possible for someone's aura to overwhelm her power...especially not someone so young! Because of the slight disorientation, the teacher wasn't able to sense things around her as smoothly as before, and she clumsily stepped back, fumbling for the doorknob that would grant her access to her classroom.

"Aleksander, p-please come in." she stuttered, finally managing to open the door, nearly smacking her face against the doorframe as the entered the room.

This just isn't possible.

"We need to have a little...talk. Then I will take you to Professor Eriwind with a note excusing your lateness." she said, trying to regain her composure.

Aleksander tilted his head.

"Are you alright Professor? You seem a bit ill." He commented. "Can I do anything for you? I have water. Everyone likes water. Do you want some? Clear your head, get some water flowing in the body. All that good stuff."

He walked into the room with some mats. That surprised him considerably. Was he supposed to lay on the mats? Where were the chairs.. Aleks went to one of the mats and just sorta stared at it. Then he stomped his foot on it and turned in a complete circle. Then sat down. Exactly how a cat would paw at it's resting spot before sitting down. He was weird like that and that mats made him feel awkward.

Geno read through his evaluation, which didn't take more than a few seconds. He was a little bummed, seeing as some of the other students having longer letters, but having to talk to the teacher later? Sounded like he was already in trouble, for no reason whatsoever. "Maybe I shouldn't be so cynical." He whispered to himself. "Wonder who Calista is." He added, a bit louder. He was a bit relieved to know he had a girl as his partner though, he knew from experience he worked better with women. It might've been because his only friend throughout his entire childhood was his sister, or maybe because he was always teased by all boys, while the girls were just quiet, which he prefered.

Leo had already known that she'd be near-useless in most combat (or any) situations, so she was shocked at what she saw written on her evaluation. There were times when she could actually be of some help! She supposed that it would make sense that she wouldn't be too utterly terrible when electronics or machines were involved, but close range combat? That, she wasn't so sure about. Her body trembled slightly and she glitched sporadically, which further proved her point in her mind. "I'll never be good for any of this... Not if I can't get some kind of a hold on my glitch..." She read through to see who her partner would be and swallowed audibly, eyes wide and glitch becoming more obvious in her nervousness. "Mars Porter... He's on the Student Council... Someone in power... I'll be in so much trouble..." Leona was tempted to burst into tears, but thankfully, she managed to control the urge, though she was shaking and glitching quite a bit...

~Professor Crysta Chime~

Crysta closed the door, pausing for a moment while she tried to get a handle on herself. The shapes of her room grew a little less fuzzy, and she was able to go to the small tea-stove she had in her her room and pour the already hot water into two delicate china cups. Placing two teabags in the water, she silently let them steep for a moment. She cautiously focused on Aleksander to determine what he preferred in his tea, and thankfully, she was able to figure it out without completely freaking out again.

Placing the cups on their matching saucers, Crysta approached Aleksander and handed him his tea. She proceeded to sit cross-legged on the mat in front of him. The lavender incense was still burning, and the familiar smell put the teacher at ease. She sipped her tea as she studied the boy, being careful not to put herself into a state of shock.

After what seemed like forever, the teacher finally said, "Aleksander, would you be terribly upset if I asked your history teacher if he'd let me transfer you into my class?"

Crysta hadn't been told that Aleksander was in the history class, but as was her way, she just knew.

Shinji snickered, seeing the boy was actually a fresh meat, ready to be roasted soon enough after some tough beating,"There no such rule in my book." Shinji stated and then here came the one and only, Exploding Caige or Professor Caige, the one teacher that everyone stay away from with a 50 ft distance, even more just to get more safer. Not caring that Kuro was in open view for everyone to see, Shinji pointed to the man,"That's the teacher." Shinji said and smirked when Professor Caige continued to ramble on about whatever he had on his mind, the flicking of fire burn in his eyes.

Grumbling that they were given homework on the first day of school, Shinji took the letter that he was given, ripping the letter carelessly out and skimmed through the words which didn't took him long to read,

A sly smirk played at his lips, seeing the name of his partner,"Blake Jones. Mr. Secretary is gonna protect me?" Shinji thought snickering at how the boy must be reacting to this now. Throwing the letter onto the desk, he overheard Geno over his shoulder, the name of his friend being spoken through his lips.

Turning around in no time at all, Shinji stared at him with amused but also stern eyes,"Calista Vance is your partner?" Shinji asked, wanting to make sure that it wasn't his Calista, small, adorable Calista that is timid and barely have confidence in her own power and strength that she possess. Calista that he had been together with for 10 years and protected, Calista who he treasure so much to give up his life just to protect. This may sound a bit too extreme but Calista meant quite a lot to Shinji since she was like a sister to him and the only to understand him.

Matt read his evaluation from the class and raised an eyebrow. He had thought he wouldn’t be of much use in this particular class, but it seemed that the teacher actually had a plan for him… setting traps with his illusions? (A real life question mark appearing over his head, something that happened once in a while with his illusions when he wasn’t concentrating) Well he could certainly do that. He would just have to advance his ability a little. (his question mark plopped away) Since he could mostly make small things appear so far… a cliff sounded… tricky. He noticed the name of his partner in this class. Emma.. the girl from this morning. So she was in this class too. He still hadn’t found out what her ability was.

~Professor Giovia Eriwind~

Giovia carefully closed the box once Emma was through feeling the bottles and herbs. She smiled and said, "Well, I was thinking tomorrow I could teach you a few of the basics while I help Nichole learn how to heal with water. I'm going to have the rest of the students practice their protection and healing techniques in the courtyard while we do that."

Pushing the box forward a bit, she continued, "This is just a starting kit with most of the herbs that are often used as a base when making potions. Of course, there are some potions already, but they are there so you can see if you made your own potion correctly."

Heh. Exploding Caige, what a name. Geno was sure he'd grow fond of this teacher, he had air of authority about him, and Geno could respect that. It was only left to see if he was actually a good teacher, but we'd get to that eventually. He seemed to have a bit of a temperament though, but that could usually be dealt with simply by not inducing rage.

Geno flinched at Shinji's sudden movement, and was a bit surprised by his question. "Yeah, that's the girl." He observed Shinji's stern look and added "What's up? Should I be worried?" He was a bit fazed at his reaction, he didn't suspect he'd react so fiercely to a simple name. "Do you know her?"

Emma nodded, picking up the small box "Alright, that sounds like a plan, Professor Eriwind." she smiled softly "Thanks." now it was time to meet her Partner for real. Whenever they are to be partnered up. She really hoped he wasnt a idiot If he was, well...This was going to be a long school year for her.

~Professor Xavier Caige~

The teacher's eyebrow twitched with irritation upon seeing the animal. He was about to argue and get Shinji to get it out of the room, but he just mumbled, "Ah, whatever..."

Kicking his feet up onto his desk, he closed his eyes. He was absolutely exhausted. He stayed up all night writing those evaluations because he put them off until the last minute. He didn't get any sleep because he had to start getting ready for Orientation, there was the strange episode that occurred in the graveyard when he was visiting...

Xavier's eyes snapped open. Oh no, he was already having a bad day. He wasn't going to make it worse.

"If anyone has any questions...you know...ask me or something..." he yawned, locking his hands behind his head.

As umbra looked down at his evaluation he was confused, was this professor stupid or did he not understand the full extent of umbra power? Umbra thought about standing up and giving the professor a demonstration, by making his body bigger and giving the professor a great big punch. Instead he turned to a white haired classmate and said "hey are you the one that was snoozing up on the roof earlier? "

Valentina's sunset orange gaze flicked up as the teacher entered the room, calmly introducing himself to the class. But there was something about him that caused goosebumps to run up her arms. Staring at him a bit more closely, Valentina scanned over his face to figure out what it was.

Was it the way he furrowed his brow? No... That can't be it. She stared a bit closer, not realizing how creepy she looked. Than, it finally hit her.

"HIS EYES!" She exclaimed out loud. Almost immediately, her face became bright red with embarrassment. Leaning back in her chair, she rubbed the back of her head and flashed Leo a very, nervous smile.

Valentina hadn't even noticed the evaluation letter on her desk yet. Ignoring the confused stares from other students around her, she snatched up the letter and sliced it open with her nail. Picking out the paper, her orange eyes skimmed over the words as she read her evaluation.

A sly grin appeared on Valentina's face as she finished reading, and placed the letter gently back onto the desk. She stared at her partners names, recognizing Lyra's name immediately, but the others, she didn't know.

Glancing over at Leo beside her, she leaned over in her chair towards her.

"Who are your partners?" She whispered quietly, flashing her another grin.

Aleksander sipped his tea. He quite liked tea. Especially this tea. It tasted good. He paused when she asked him about transferring. Aleksander put down his tea and thought for a moment. Honestly, he couldn't really remember why he was taking the history class in the first place. Probably because all of the other classes were all closed.

Aleksander smiled and replied "I wouldn't mind that at all Professor. This tea is good. Will I get it here when if I join this class? Can I ask why you want me in your class?

~Professor Crysta Chime~

Crysta wasn't drinking her tea...just...stirring it. She listened to the boy speak, and then replied, "Thank you, it's my own special blend. You never know if it's going to be good or bad--I'm glad you got a good cup."

Pausing as he asked her more questions, she sighed.

"I serve all of my students a cup of tea before meditation." she smiled. "I'd love to say it cleanses the soul and whatnot, but tea is just a beverage, and the warmness from it helps people relax."

Pausing again, Crysta set down her cup. She didn't answer for a few second.

"Well, you have much about you that intrigues me." she said, not really wanting to explain the exact reason she wanted him. She didn't want to lie to the boy, either.

"You have a very good aura. Very good, actually. The best best I've seen in a student."

The best I've seen ever.

"I think my class would be highly beneficial for you as far as inner discovery go. I can tell you haven't nearly unlocked your power's full potential, and I want to help you."

Nichole hummed drawing and wanted to go meet her partner. she wondered what he was like. She wrote some more lyrics in her book sighing. "~do do do do do do do do do do do do. You see me standing here without a care in the world. You think 'whats wrong with that girl?'. You see all I need is for you to smile. It gives me joy, smile. We can change the world if we smile. Smile smile. It makes my day, if all you do is give me a smile smile smile. Fill me with joy, make me smile too. Because I just wanna be with you... be with you ooohhhh be with you...~" Nichole nodded and smiled writing it down.

Aleksander tilted his head and listened carefully. He didn't exactly know what an aura was but if it was a good aura that meant it can't be anything bad so he decided he would just wait to learn it in this class.

"You can help me unlock my full power? I see, you will help me so I can help others. I agree with this. Yes, very much so. I look forward to this class Professor."
