Idyllia
to thine own self be true
Harlyn jumped a little at the mention of her guitar. She never played much in front of other people, sometimes in front of Nohea, the stray puppy she's been feeding. Harlyn smiled at the thought of Nohea. Who's going to feed him while she's gone?
"Ah damn it," she sighed under her breath. Shaking her head, she slipped her guitar around to the front.
There were people around her but they were having her own conversations and dilemmas. "Anyways, I'm sorry if I'm a little rusty. Let's strum out a song I'm sure everyone knows..."
Harlyn started to play Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana, there were a couple mess-ups in the beginning, but as she warmed up it came easily to her. She hasn't played this song in a while, it was one of the first songs she's learned.
"Smells like the only Nirvana song most people know, am I right?" She joked, fighting the urge to sing along.
She absolutely adored playing her guitar, but Harlyn never thought herself much of a singer. She'd rather hear other's sing than embarrass herself in that way.
Harlyn continued strumming, occasionally looking up at Carter.
