Hey! I was actually thinking a creepy ass necromancer who’s actually a Mum friend™, that sort of thing. You?Hey there DatBoi. You got a character idea yet?

Are you planning on writing any lore about the southern lands for us to use for guidance, or are you leaving things up to our characters to flesh things out?
Awesome. Looking forward to it.I'm glad you asked.
Yes, that'll be added to the extra pages.
That sounds really cool. I would binge read a book wherein she’s the protagonist, to be honest.DatBoi
Lol, you sure necromancers and the undead aren't on the list of "ancient evils" we're supposed to be fighting? I do like the subversion of the expected stereotype for a necromancer by making him/her protective of their friends. Usually people play them as self-interested jerks.
I'm making a religious monk struggling with her training and going through a tiny existential crisis. She serves an older religion that forbids evangelism and has waned in the past couple hundred years to the point of almost going extinct. She wants to keep her faith alive but is having trouble figuring out how to do that without being able to preach, advertise, or otherwise recruit others. Something along those lines. Still working on it.

Thanks for adding that stuff to the lore page.
HeyyWhat up ni-neighbors.
The limitations of necromancy would be very toned down from what they can be portrayed as, traditionally. It’s similar to the first one you mentioned; no souls are involved at all. I haven’t got it fully worked out yet, I’m still trying to make sure it doesn’t cross the ‘overpowered’ line xDDatBoi
Lol, thank you. Flattery is an acceptable form of currency.
I guess it depends on your definition of necromancy. Is your version of necromancy simply animating dead flesh and bones like puppets? Something more akin to telekinesis (in which case why are your powers limited to dead and dying things and not just full on telekinesis). Or is your version actually raising the dead? Binding their souls back to their rotting vessels and enslaving them. I'd say actually raising the dead crosses the line into playing god and playing out one's tyrannical inclinations which one could argue is objectively badong.

Well, you’re the GM. I’ll think of something elseWould it even be necromancy then and not just some conjuring of sorts?
I'm not sure if something that's clearly being used by the enemy to wreak destruction would be something they'd want in their ranks.
