Well. It sucks a lot but there are things that make it worth it, like sleeping in and eating sweets for breakfast.

Don't worry too much! You don't automatically get all the responsibilities dumped on you on your 18th birthday. Like tbh I lived at home until just a few months ago and I've only just started feeling like an Adult TM, and I'm in my mid 20s.

Also I still get mistaken for being a teenager. Baby face high five!

It's really going to depend on where exactly you live, unfortunately. The good news is that most colleges have dorms and work study positions available, which can make things easier.

Ones a neglectful alcoholic paironoid schizophrenic thats hated me since i was born and has attacked me on mutiple cases and neglected me since i was little, the other is one of those that thinks he's correct all the time and is rather verbal abusive.

yikes! If you just want to go to school just to get out i would say its not the hardest to get in to school even if your only a mediocre student. I graduated during the rescission and would advise picking a trade you either A. Really love or B. Something your good at that can make money. I don't think its viable to go to school just to go. My bachelors degree has not given me much of a leg up on jobs where my competition is people without degrees. Jobs are trickier it depends where you live. I'm up in seattle so rent is high but getting a job isn't too terrifying...not like it was in maine in 2009. it sounds like not a good living situation, I hope you stay safe. its also okay to make a plan that will take a couple years to execute. Stay safe and think aghead!

I mean I have also lived in 10 by 10 apartment with nothing but a matress on the floor and hot plate- its not glamorous and I don't want it for anyone else but it got me out of where I was and now i live somewhere nice with windows and lots of plants and people I love. I think my found family is the best thing thats come out of my adulthood so far!
edit: And when you haven't gotten out there yet and started doing the thing it probably sounds terrible to hear us complain about how rough it can be- but you gotta remember that i hope, most of us are not hacking it all alone. And when I was home and things were bad i always felt very alone even though i had most of the things I needed? I am sleeping and doing an atticus.
