Well, Snape's loyalty is under suspicion when Voldemort returns. When Voldemort finds out he's married an Auror, he'll want answers as to why. Now if Sev isn't going to be executed as a traitor, he'd have to say something like "I only got with her to escape Azkaban/She could provide us with information." Voldemort will then point out that she's outlived her usefulness, and will demand she's brought before him to prove Sevs loyalty to the cause.

True, but that's why she's going with her mother's last name, but if it ever comes to the fact Sev has to bring his wife to him Violet's not gonna be overly happy

With Violet having that name Lucius (or another death eater) could track her mother down and bring her in for questioning to find out if Sev had been telling the dark lords secrets to everyone in range, or whether she's just some fling he had several years ago.
