Guardian Angel Of Mine

Cole sees the mark and instantly his expression hardens. "Who. Are. You?!" He demands, his voice threatening as he gets right in Carver's face. The mixture of his anger and close proximity giving Carver the chance to smell the vampire on him.

Carver laughs, clapping his hands before clapping Cole's shoulder, "Oh, wow! Congrats, little human girl! You got yourself a vampire buddy!"

Dakota creases her brows at looks at Carver then Cole, not trusting Carver knew what he was talking about. "Cole isn't a vampire..if he was he;d have told me..right Cole?" She asked him softly, her eyes giving him a knowing expression along with trust mixed in there. Cole and her were best friends since kindergarten..there's no way he would't tell her something as important as that.

Cole stiffens, slowly backing from Carver, guilt washes over him inside and out as he looks to his friend, "Dakota... Listen, it's.. It's not that easy, as to just told you..."

Dakota's face falls ever so slightly as she looked upon Cole. "Th..that's okay..When do you get off? You can come over and explain it all." She said softly, as a pang of hurt when though her body. Cole didn't trust her enough to tell her what he was..She should probably be irate at him right now, but she wasn't.she new Cole well enough that there had to be a reason he hid it from her.

Cole swallows hard, able to feel the pain from his best friend making him feel awful. "I'm off in an hour... I'll just head back with you..?"

Carver smirks at the two of them, loving the expression and obvious sadness of the little human girl.

Dakota nods. "That's fine with me." She said then looked to Carver and sighs a bit. "Lovely. You don't know what this food is.. uh okay..get him what I get." She said, not looking back at Cole as she didn't want more hurt and sorrow to shoot though her once more, though there was a bit of anger stirring in her from Carver's little smirk.

Cole nods, doubling the order before taking it back to the kitchen.

"So. Nice friend, huh?" Carver laughs, the smirk never leaving his lips.

Dakota sighs once more. "Better than you'll ever be..." She mumbled, not too much caring at this moment that she was more than likely trying to antagonize her. She looked away from his and out the window to the city, loving how all the little lights and cars racing around out there looked like little fireflies, dancing though the night. At this very moment, she really wished her and Cole could sit up on the rooftop of the old barn his family used to own in the more rural part of town and look at the stars while laughing at some of the stupid things that they'd done earlier in the day, then after a while, Dakota would fall asleep all curled up next to Cole and he'd some how carry her inside and lay her down on the couch with a blanket, making sure she was all tucked up, her little stuffed anime next to her, the one she always claimed when she sent to his house, the one he gave her on her 10th birthday. A small wolf, who's fur was white as snow ad eyes blue as the ocean, they'd named him Snow like his fur, and Cole always said Snow would protect her when he couldn't. As these memories rushed though her mind, a very small and soft smile came to her face, along with a single tear rolling down her cheek and onto the table. She really missed those days with Cole..she'd do anything to get them back, even if just for a moment.

Carver rolls his eyes at Dakota as he sees her smile, as well as her tear. "Yo, human. What's wrong with you? Your expression and actions aren't coinciding, right now."

Dakota shakes herself out of her memories and wipes away the tear. "None of your business. You don't care anyways." She said, her smile fading to a normal expression, as her voice was calm and collected unlike on the inside where everything was hurt, saddened and longing, all of those feelings for Cole, along with the love she still had for him. Even if he didn't tell her about being a vampire..he;d still be his best friend and still love him no matter what, that's just how best friends worked.

Carver rolls his eyes, "That's true." And, it was... Sort of... Of course he cared nothing about the true reason a human would be crying. Why would it matter to him at all? He couldn't care less about her death, none the less her tears. Though, at the same time, seeing her sadness made his stomach clench... Who knows, maybe he's just hungry.

Dakota looks out at the restaurant, her stomach growling once more as she really wished Cole would get here with their food. She was hungry despite the emotions she felt, which still surprised her that she could be hungry while emotional.

As if on cue with Dakota's thoughts, a waitress saunters out of the back with two plates in hand. She places one before Dakota casually, then when she goes to put the other in front of Carver she bends down, allowing her cleavage to show out the open buttons of her top. She winks at him before standing, saying a flirtatious "Enjoy~" Then walking off, shaking her hips a bit more than necessary along the way.

In the beginning, Carver paid her absolutely no mind. However, once he caught her scent he was quite into her little... Show... As her scent was that of a fallen angel-no surprise there.

Dakota rolls her eyes at him. "Slut.." She muttered then started eating, not really caring if Carver took that offensively or not, seeing as she had not idea what the girl even was.

Carver smirks over at Dakota, "Jealous much?" He then picks up his fork and begins to eat, quite loving the taste of it all.

Dakota rolls her eyes. "Please. You're not attractive to me. At. All. Well at least until you cause me pain..But if you were the last guy on Earth uh no. I'd take Cole over you any day." She said then kept eating, her voice being completely serious, then she added, "Oh and you don;t have to remind me I'm not all that attractive either. I already know this." She said, then looked down at her sugar biscuits, noticing Cole slipped her extra, and by extra she took note it was more than the normal extra, he was bribbing her with food, which was a good idea for him.

Carver shrugs, "I dunno, you're pretty hot." He casually continues eating for several seconds, almost a minute before he chokes on his food, his eyes wide as he stares at her and adds, "-for a human!" He then grumbles incoherent profanities as he glues his eyes to his food and continues eating.

Dakota laughs. "Nice save slick." She said and stuffed a whole sugar biscuit in her mouth and chewed on it, her lips getting covered in sugar and her cheeks looking like a hamster, but she didn't seem to care as she was enjoying this.

Carver decides this is the right time to tease Dakota. So, as he sees the sugar coating her lips he stands up, leans over the table, gets his face right in front of hers, then licks the sugar off before nipping her bottom lip rather hard and sitting down to continuing to eat as if nothing had ever happened. "Ya know, that shit's good." He smirks through a mouthful of food.

Dakota bites down on her bottom lip as desire ran though her body, the she swallowed her food. "That.. was unfair." She said, then ate more food, desperately wishing Cole was off already so she could feel a lot less awkward and so she'd have another person, one that didn't tease her woth her turn ons.

Carver smirks, "Don't know what you're talking about~" He muses while continuing to eat.

Dakota rolls her eyes as she finishes off her food off then sighs happily. "That..was amazing." She said with a small smile.

Carver finishes his as well, an actual smile crossing his face as he leans back in his chair, "It actually was... I quite approve of this 'Chinese' food!"

Dakota laughs. "You think this is good then you'll freaking love sushi." She said with a smile as she looked out to all the people in the Paper Lantern, not seeing Cole like she hoped she would.
