Guardian Angel Of Mine

Hearing Dakota ask for Carver to save her just angers Cole more, making him dig his nails deeply into her thighs.

Carver feels her pain, and hears her plea, his heart racing a million times a minute as he slams his shoulder against the door, effectively breaking it in before running over and easily throwing Cole off of Dakota, into the nearby window. In the process shattering it, and once more leaving the vampire unconscious as he lands on the ground.

Carver then finds himself standing over Dakota's body, quickly he unties the restraints as he looks at her in panic, "Oh my gods... Koda..." He leans down and begins using his healing light on her, healing all the wounds including the new ones on her thighs. He then does the one thing angels are always taught against doing, because of how much strain it puts onto their bodies... "Don't worry... I'll all be better, soon." He whispers to her in a soothing voice despite the nervousness and fear seeping through his every breath. He brings his wrist to his mouth and painfully bites a chunk out of it before putting his profusely bleeding wound to her mouth. Just a few drops of angel blood would bring a human's own blood production back to healthy levels with no adverse effects, no matter how close to death they are.

Dakota's heart jolts in her body, and she gasps at the taste of his blood, her eyes going wide and she shakily reaches up to pushes away his wrist, as she was already feeling much better, though on the inside she hurt from the shear fact that Cole, her best friend of fourteen years, almost just killed her..over her blood. Tears pool in her eyes and run down her cheeks as she painfully sobs, getting strong by the minute, though she like she'd been betrayed..she trusted Cole with her life..and he just nearly took it..what was it about her blood that was so special? And why did it have to be her? She let out broken sobs, not caring that Carver was there, as all she could feel was the emotional pain Cole just gave her. It felt like someone has ripped out her heart and stabbed it, as she would have never suspected the one person in the entire universe would ever betray her..and yet..he did.

Carver frowns sadly and slowly pulls his wrist away, allowing the blue light to heal him before he leans down and gently wraps her naked form with the bed sheet before pulling her into his chest and hugging her comfortingly, "I'm sorry, Dakota..." And, he was... No matter the pain he felt from her being with Cole, at least she was happy... But, now, he can tell how hurt she is that he'd have done such a thing. He places a soft kiss against her temple, "I'm so sorry." He rocks softly from side to side, hoping to give her at least a little emotional relief as he strokes her hair gently.

Dakota weeps against his chest, her arms wrapped tightly around him, as she was sure his shirt was getting drenched in tears. After a long time of crying, she looks up at him, her eyes redish and burning, her face red and blochy while she sniffed. "C..carver.." She said softly, her eyes finding his, as she felt very numb and broken, bit she had to ask him something important.

Carver continues to hold her as he looks down and into her eyes, pain once more shooting through him as he pushes a bit of hair from her face, "Yes?" He asks, his tone soft, and hopefully a bit calming.

"D..do you promise....not to betray me too..? Because..I don't think I can take that from another person I love.." Dakota said softly, not realizing that she just told him that she loved him.

Carver feels as though someone was squeezing his lungs as he becomes instantly breathless. Dakota had just admitted that she loves him.... He looks into her eyes, gently reaching up to wipe away her tears as he nods, "I promise, Dakota..." He leans forward and places a soft kiss on her forehead before pulling back and once more looking into her eyes, "I promise."

Dakota nods a bit and runs her hands up his back to where she was not cupping his face. In this very moment she wanted to kiss him, she didn't know why, but she really just felt like its what she should do, but she wouldn't do it, not unless he wanted it too. "Tell me..you feel the same urge right now..because its tempting.." She said, her face now mere inches from his.

Carver swallows hard as his heart races faster than it ever has before, his breathing becoming more shallow as he gently nods. "I do... And... it is..." He slowly leans forward, enough so that their foreheads and noses were now touching. His warm breath dances gracefully against her lips as he lets out rather deep breaths, "Are you sure... You want to..?" He asks, not wishing to push her into anything, especially after what she'd just been through.

Dakota nods ever so slightly as she leans in and plants a soft kiss on his lips, as this is what she wanted, a simple kiss from the boy who made her feel safe and protected, the one she would trust now more than ever, the one she thought she'd never love when they first met, the one she was now in love with, even if she was in pain. An electric shock responds to Dakota kissing him, it causing her to slip her hands in his hair and pull whilst deepening the kiss by a lot.

Carver lets out a soft gasp at the spark which seems to travel quickly down from his lips to his chest, igniting in him an even greater urge to protect the girl in his arms. He tightens his hold on her ever so slightly, not wanting to take their kiss too far as he closes his eyes and melts entirely into the kiss, now leaning back against the bed's headboard as she sits on his lap.

Carver's heart skips a beat at the feeling of her being so close, gladly opening his mouth and granting access as he gently starts running his fingers along her spine, able to still feel it through the thin sheet wrapped around her.

Dakota gasps a bit at his touch, as she pulls on his hair a bit harder, as she did expect his touch to have any affect on her, but it did. It made her want him more, and it sent tingles though her body which made her shiver a bit.

Carver groans softly against her lips before pulling back, slowly opening his eyes as he looks at her beautiful face. He swallows hard, wanting nothing more than to continue kissing her, and maybe more, but... He's also aware of how badly all the recent actions effected her, and he wanted to give her time to get her thoughts and emotions straight before she decides to do something like this-before deciding to go any farther at all.

Dakota blushes lightly. "I..uhm..s..sorry." She said softly, looking up at him though her bangs as she chewed on her lower lip nervously.

Carver gives her a soft smile as he shakes his head, "Don't apologize... I liked it, a lot... I just didn't want you to do anything you'd later regret."

Dakota smiles a bit as she leans in and kisses his cheek. "Thank you Carver..for everything.." She said softly, whispering into his ear.

Carver nods, "Not a problem." He reaches up and tucks a bit of hair behind her ear, "I told you.. I'll always be here, and I'll always protect you."

Dakota shivers a bit, as a small tear rolls down her cheek. "Carver...do you know why I'm so special?" She asked weakly, as this question was a constant thought on her mind.

Carver sighs a bit, "I'm not sure about all of it.. But I know that there are several humans who vampires find complex irresistible. There's about one in every nine thousand humans who have this certain type of blood that literally just sort of calls to vampires. I'm honestly surprised Colew could hold out as long as he could.. But, please... Please don't worry. I promise you that I am going to protect you from now until forever. You'll never be hurt again."

Dakota nods as she lays her forehead on his chest, closing her eyes, as she was utterly lost, in and out. "I trust you Carver.." She said softly. "Please...don't show me I shouldn't.."

Carver shakes his head, "I'll try my hardest to sdnever give you reason to doubt me..." He leans his lips against the crown of her head before whispering against her hair, "I love you."
