Attempted Suicide three times


Lilith hasn't exactly had a normal life. When she was little (until she was about 16) her step-father had not been the kindest with his hands, but all of that changed when she was rescued and taken in by her aunt and uncle, or so she thought. Her aunt was the sweetest person and never laid a hand on her, but when she was gone her uncle decided they took Lilith in for another reason. She tried to run away but the police always found her and brought her back. After so many times of being beaten and being brought back to that awful place, she began cutting. One day, her uncle beat her horribly and sexually assaulted her, that was the first time she attempted to kill herself. Her aunt found her and immediately called the 911. When Lilith woke up and the hospital staff started questioning her she told them why she had tried, but of course, her uncle denied te accusations. And, with no evidence of the rape he was only charged with assault and held for a year. After that he moved in, promising he had changed but he hadn't Lilith continued to be beaten and raped. Right before the second time she tried to kill herself, her aunt died from mysterious causes. No evidence. She tried two more times to kill herself, the third time she was admitted by her uncle so that he didn't have to deal with her. Lilith still flinches when someone reaches for her, or gets to loud, or angry with her.

Luke has always had a pretty normal life until his mother was diagnosed with Bi-polar Schizophrenia. Soon after the diagnosis his father left them and he had to take the roll as man of the house. Luke's mother died three years ago and ever since then he came to work at this hospital to help take care of those who suffer the same problem as his mother, or other problems that cause families to dump their loved ones here.

Reason for being in Grey-Stone: Sees his dead older brother


Backstory: His parents left him and his brother, Taylor, when Carter was ten. Taylor was eighteen, and adopted his younger brother so that they could stay together. However, as the years went by, Taylor started drinking every day, and he would become very violent. He beat Carter and locked him in his room for days at a time. Taylor drank himself to death when Carter was sixteen. Carter started to heal as he went to school and made some friends, but at eighteen he got into a car accident, and when he woke up he saw his brother sitting on the end of his bed. He did not remember his brother's death, but he knew that he was scared of his brother's beatings, so he reversed back into his old self. The nurses had him committed after he explained that his brother was trying to kill him. He is often a very strong person, but when he sees his brother, he reverts back into his childhood self.

Backstory: She grew up in New York City where she did a lot of volunteer work with the homeless. She has always cared for the well-being of others, which is why she chose to major in psychology and art therapy in college. She is interning at Grey-Stone while on a semester off.

Reason for being in Grey-Stone: Athena has severe depression, has self-harm, attempted suicide multiple times, drug addict.


Backstory: Athena since the age of three was brought into the acting business. Athena never wanted to be in that business but her mother forced her. She never knew why and she never liked the attention. Slowly that brought Athena into a depression state. At a young age of 13 Athena began to cut, started taking cocaine and other drugs, attempted suicide ended up in various hospitals that never seemed to help. Athena continued to act and sing though, her mom would never let her stop. Everyone knows about her hospitalizations and her attempts at suicide, I mean you would know if you read magazines and watched the tv.


Her mom finally couldn't take her daughter acting this way and brought her to the hospital with the best reviews, Grey-Stone Asylum and payed them to keep her locked up there for a while. Athena can never accept for the way she is.

Reason for being in Grey-Stone: Jace suffers from severe suicidal tendencies and PTSD


Backstory: Jace was born in sunny California, but it wasn't that way behind closed doors. He and his younger sister were always being abused physically, verbally, and emotionally. He was even forced to watch his sister get raped by their own father which scarred him deeply. Because there was no escape, he eventually grew mostly isolated, only talking to his sister, and attempting suicide several times due to his night terrors from his PTSD after witnessing his sister nearly die. He was finally locked up in Grey-Stone Asylum after his screaming woke the neighbors.

Age: 17


Reason for being in Grey-Stone: Severe PTSD; Night terrors, Suicidal; sees herself being shot over and over again


Backstory: Aphrodite was born in a very abusive home with her brother, Jace. She was abused physically, verbally, emotionally, and even sexually on a few occasions. She was raped by their father when she was only 11, and then again when she was 14 and 16. After the last time he was raped, her father pulled out a gun and shot her, missing her heart by centimeters, and waited to call the cops until she had lost half her blood. The only thing that saved her was the blood transfusions. She was admitted into Grey-Stone Asylum two months later after breaking down in public, screaming as she remembered what happened to her and her brother not being there anymore.

Backstory:


Ying and Yang since childhood has had some dark, and sick moments. Being twins they were always together. There parents were Kristal and Henery Toren, a wealthy family with a known background. When they discover they were having twins they're life was perfect . . . until they were born. Both children came out the womb silence as death, for neither of them cried, nor moved, or even opened there eyes. The doctors was sad to tell the parents of there childrens death until both awaken at the same time and looked directly at one another. Growing up they never talked. They just went outside to 'play'. One day Kristal and Henery Toren discovered what playing was. In there tree house was discovered bodies of dead animals and blood scattered on the wood. At the age of thirteen Mike and Melisha Toren was sent to Grey-Stone Asylum. And since then that's where they've been. . .

Reason you're in Grey-Stone: Attempting to murder 12 people in a store


Backstory: Avery was born in a fairly decent home and she hated it. Her family was always noted as the good family, but she was always the black sheep. Even as a little girl, she had her issues. She was caught ripping the heads off her Barbies and strategically placing them so her parents would find them. When she was 10 and her dog had puppies, she filled a bucket with water and drowned them one by one before grabbing a knife and slicing them open. As she grew older, her family realized just how crazy she was when he was caught in a corner holding one of her dolls close by with a knife singing "Ring Around the Rosie" before smiling and cutting its head off at the age of 16. She always was talking to someone, but no one at the same time. Most of the time, she was speaking to someone in her mind, though she has had contact with people before. At the local store, she had gone in to get something to drink, but almost instantly, she had a mental breakdown and pulled a knife on those inside. She ordered them into a line and brought the first one forward. She was about to slit her throat when the police arrived and sent her to Grey-Stone.

  Ever since she was eight years-old, Alicia would have terrible nightmares. Every night, she would scream herself awake, tears always streaking down her face. She couldn't never describe her dreams clearly, but they were always hyper-realistic. It got to the point where she couldn't differentiate dream from reality, and she's tried to harm people she thought were 'imposters' and herself.

  Growing up rich, Alicia lived a lavish life. At least, that's how it seemed if you were from the outside looking in. In reality, the entire family was sincerely fucked up. Her mom, being a teenage mother and marrying early, was diagnosed with depression. Her entire existence was considered an abomination. Her mother blamed Alicia for the way her life turned. Constantly while growing up, she would live in fear of her mother dying. Every day was another day she had to agonize over the life or death of her mom. Meanwhile, her dad who happened to be sixteen years older than her mom, came home with countless different women each night whom he would call his 'friends' and then proceed to tell her to 'go play in her room and lock the door'. She never understood until she started growing older. When she had turned eight, her mom finally successfully ended her life, leaving Alicia to an irresponsible father and a cold house. The last moments of her mom's life were seen by Alicia. Alicia walked into the bathroom, only to see her mom step off of a stool and wriggle around gasping for breath.   Backstory
  
  
  Kayden grew up on the streets of Brooklyn, New York. At age ten, he escaped from his abusive mother. Even his father, who suffered from his mother's domestic violence had tried to escape, only to have been shot in the chest twice by a .22 caliber. His mother also suffered from abandonment issues, but never seeked help. Constantly, his mother would sober up and hug Kayden, crying and begging him not to leave her, and that she was sorry. It was the same story every time, and he had enough. When Kayden turned eleven, he was picked up by a drug pedaling gang, and helped the gang distribute to customers. He was incredibly useful, since hardly anyone would suspect such a young dealer. He ended up dabbling in the drugs himself, eventually moving on to harder drugs and getting addicted. Soon, he would have hallucinations even without taking the drugs, and the only way to calm him down was with more drugs. Eventually, the drugs only made him worse. He would try to claw through his wrists, claiming that there were ants in his veins, or scream at seemingly nothing. Any attempt at restraining him would result in intensive backlash.
