While Maia isn’t the most cheerful person in the world,she is by no means depressing either. She tends to have a sarcastic retort to anything,which became increasingly necessary after her powers started to become more obvious in camp. She often had to deal with the animosity because of her parentage, making her extra resistant against offenses from the campers.


Maia isn’t beyond lying to protect herself. She allows other campers to believe that her abilities are much stronger than they actually are,mostly because it keeps her from trouble.


She is willing to offer a shoulder to her very rare friends. Still,Maia is completely sincere and unafraid of speaking her mind to whoever is willing to listen.


Maia is a friendly person, although most campers seem too afraid to approach her to see that shade of her personality. While she hates being on crowds, she does enjoy having interactions with other people. Whenever she makes a friend,her loyalty become unbreakable. She hates people who judge her based on labels,which is why she likes to know others in depth before she makes any judgment about them.


Maia is insecure about her place in the world,always feeling like she isn’t doing enough to make her life worth it. She feel like she needs to find a goal,or else she will simply be wasted space. That is one of the reasons as to why she is dying to go on a quest, mainly because it could help her to find a purpose.


To Maia,it's everything or nothing. She used to do some dating around camp,but soon she realized that she was trying to fill an empty space in chest that was probably meant to stay like that. While she isn't afraid of relationships,she hasn't found any worth of her time. That probably comes from her mildly pessimistic view on life. Maia isn't sure if she is meant to be happy.


Maia knows she isn't mentally stable,but she keeps it well hidden. Hallucinations happen,though.

Weaknesses: Rueben has always been pretty frail and weak, and has had a lot of self doubt. He doesn't really think he can do things and relies on other people to do things for him usually. Rueben spends more time with plants than with people.


Strengths: He is really smart for his age and is pretty good at strategizing. Underneath all his anxiety and stuff, he is actually a pretty nice guy.


Backstory: Rueben has always lived in a large house in the country with his father, who was a fairly wealthy man who made his money through cross breeding different plants. He was homeschooled by his father and grew very smart. When he turned eight he noticed how his father's plants started to move when he was around them and he approached his father about it. When everything had been explained Rueben was startled but also excited. He spent the next few years learning all that he could about his mother and her world, and also began practicing with plants. Five years later he had an ok understanding of his mother and the gods, and had become accustomed to working with plants. However one night he woke up in a bed that was not his. There was with a satyr who explained that over night a crommyonian sow had destroyed his houses and killed his father. He woke up in camp half-blood and was marked by Demeter and placed in the respected cabin.


Personality: Rueben is a frail, skinny boy who is intimidated by most people and keeps to himself. He doesn't like to be put in the spotlight and hates attention. Despite all his fears and self doubt, Rueben is actually really smart in times of need and often surprises people with his knowledge.


Secrets: the fact his father was killed by a monster. The reason he wears the ring on a string around his neck.
