Crowley hummed softly to himself as he worked planting the new hedge maze. Fast growing hedges were a staple of this kind of yard work, the little shrubs would shoot up over the next month or so. He was currently just setting the outer borders to cut off the inner area. Once he got further input from the other members of staff, he'd have a better idea of what to design. Maybe he'd separate different area by elemental theme, offer up badges or something to those who successfully got through each area. The young ones always liked to have bragging rights.

He mentally went through his checklist as he worked. First was the hedge maze, then he had to move over to the dorms and remove the creeping vines that crawled up the walls. On their own, they were no problem, but it wasn't unheard of for an aspiring romantic partner to hurt themselves attempting to climb the sturdy looking vines. After that he had to check the lake and make sure it remained clean and clear, he was sure that Lucille would give him an earful if a student came to her sick from stagnant water. While he didn't mind spending time with the woman, they shared an interest in herbology after all, getting her mad at him was the last of his worries.

Max double checked the piece of paper that had his classroom number on it before nodding as he stepped into the room, noting that a few other students had already gotten there. He smiled at the sight, it was cool to be around so many other different types of Gijinka. Back home, it had all been just his family, all the same type at various stages of growth. Not only that, but there was no one constantly checking out his 'combat readiness'.

Looking once more around the classroom, he noticed a free spot at the front near the window where the warm sun was just shining perfectly onto the seat as if welcoming him. He settled into the seat with a contented sigh and rested his chin on his hands as he looked out over the grounds, his body soaking up the sunlight and nourishing him. He wondered if he'd make friends. He was looking forwards to it, there were plenty of friendly looking people here already and the day had barely started.

His contentment and happiness radiated off of him, almost contagious in its purity.

Thanks to the poison gang's shenanigans, the air in the classroom started to get intense. First, Dani gave Pepe a baton out of the blue, with the baton disappearing and transferring her Shell Smash's effects as soon as he accepted it. "Thanks, mate," he said as the Baton Pass took effect.

Second, Pepe found Micah's joke somewhat amusing. Awkward yet amusing nonetheless. Yet he didn't laugh because he would've choked if he did. Plus, seems like Alistair got the Furret boy good.

Third, Lux suddenly stood up with electricity on his fist. Pepe swore it could've passed as a Thunder Punch weren't it for the fact that a full-breed Luxray can't even learn it to begin with. Not that it mattered anyway.

And lastly, by the time Pepe finished his Lum berry, the class rep decided to take the matter into her own hands. He could feel the suddenly cold air in the room, freezing the bullies solid. The Sylveon gulped, he was so thankful that it wasn't him who caused trouble in the first place.

"Pepe, thankyou for not taking advantage of this instigator's shell smash. You're a model student."
I- what now??? Pepe thought with a puzzled look on his face, not sure what to say beyond "U-uh..." All he did was keeping a cool head in front of the bullies despite all their taunts directed on him. That, and he wanted to say that Dani's Shell Smash was Baton Passed after the Sludge Bomb, but he doubted that Aisu would even listen anyway.

Note to self: in case of residual poison, see Ms. Bayou ASAP.

"As for the rest of you, we will go over hidden abilities and how best to use them" she replied
Right after Ms. Rose had Aisu to escort the poison gang to the headmaster, the former continued the lesson in earnest. "Hidden abilities... like Pixilate for Sylveon?" Pepe mused, not sure if he should do it out loud or not.

Michelle chuckled nervously to herself, she had purposefully gotten up late to avoid the student rush and was quietly walking to her classroom. She had managed to keep her head down and made herself as small as possible to avoid the notice of the teachers and other students, quietly looking at the slip of paper and she tried her best to just get there without freaking anyone out as she entered the classroom her racing slowed down at least a little bit upon seeing Pyla and Vivienne two different ghost types and ones that looked way creepier than her on first appearance and immeaditely creeped up on them unintentionally looking even weirder than she should of been "I-I uh h-h-hello I'm M-michelle a pleasure to meet you, a Mimikyu and a ghost type l-l-like the both of you and I'm sorry for butting into your conversation" Michelle said sitting down next to Vivienne her mask turning into a messy smile instead of a true smile

Annabeth woke up from her nap, she had gotten to the school early on and decided to take a nap before she had gotten into the school as the sun had yet to come up. "Ugh great, I slept in a little too much, ah well" she sighed to herself as she slowly got up and walked into the school. She entered the classroom and sat down in the seat furthest away from everyone else as she just watched everyone interact with each other "So boring and annoying all that stupid talking let's just get this over with" Annabelle mumbled to herself as she leaned back in her chair and decided to have another quick nap in the class before the teacher came around

Vivi followed the headmaster inside and was instantly amazed at the decor. It looked kinda like it did back home. mother always loved that style. She took one of the flyers the headmaster passed around and started looking at it. she had to giggle at his mention of getting lost. Vivi was kinda familiar with “getting lost”. Yes, this is going to become some good years.

They were led to classroom 7, which was going to be the classroom for the 1st and 2nd years. Vivi was already glad that both the 1st and 2nd years were together m͟ore ͡s͟o̸ul̶s̢ ̷t̢o f̸eed of̕f̸ óf͢ because now she can make even more friends. When she entered she looked around a bit to see who was sitting where already. She noticed Bertrice and Airin sitting near the windows. Vivi walked and sat down at a desk in the middle of the room right before Pyla and near her fellow 1st years. as she sat down she looked to Airin for a moment and gave her a polite wave.

as she turned back she looked to her left to see Bernice who sat before a Ninetails and Vibrava gijinka who both seemed to know each other. ” well well… what do we have here?” Vivi noticed the Ninetails stumbling over his words and trying his best not to blush. It warms a girl's heart to see such cute love, although Vivi had no real heart to speak of. Still, Vivi found it so cute.
Suddenly Vivi thought she heard mumbling behind her. As she looked back she saw the zoroark sitting behind her with her head buried in her arms. ”tu okay?” she said curiously. Pyla also seemed to have noticed the zoroark and was also trying to talk to her.
Then there as if out of nowhere Vivi heard another voice besides her. as she turned she saw a Mimikyu had crept up to them ” Nice to meet tu Michelle. I’m Vivienne. And don’t feel bad for intirrupting, we're all new here after all” Vivi gave the mimikyu a warm smile. Most people might find it disturbing if someone would sneak up to them, especially a ghost type. But Vivi just found her extremely cute the way she shyly introduced herself. Vivi softly giggled seeing the smile on the mimikyu’s mask become messy. ”No need to worry. we're all friends here” Vivi said as she raised her hand and gently patted Michelle’s head hoping she would feel a little bit at ease.

Katya sat up after being noticed by others, thankfully turning off the communicator in her ear before doing so. "I'm sorry, what?" She asked trying to seem normal.

She looked around and noticed all the pokemon around her were ghost type, at least half ghost type. Couldn't be a coincidence, if she needed she could beat two of them, the only one she had to worry about was the mimikyu girl, due to her being a part fairy type.

a5982c5c8fe45759194809cbcbae3a2e.jpg Bernice takes notice of the Vibrava taking a seat in front of her breaking her out of her world. She scans the room, watching as students flood in already chattering among themselves. Pyla taking a seat next to the Zoroark, an Ivysaur she hadn't seen within the group until now. Maybe he caught up at some point? She turns around, relieved to see Airin sitting behind her. Although it wasn't next to her, she appreciated the closeness. The brunette had written a "hi there" there a cute smiley face. "Hey, nice to see ya again~!" She greeted back. To the Lopunny's surprise, the Ninetails boy from earlier said hello. In truth, her cheeky Lopunny side kicked in as she grinned at the boy. "Wow, so you finally decided to say hi to me, didja?" She teased and dismissed his apology. "No need to be sorry." The next thing that came out of his mouth had her blushing. A compliment from a boy that didn't sound like a mockery. She didn't know what to make of it. She hasn't realized her rosy cheeks growing a deeper shade as she sat frozen stiff biting her lower lip bashfully. Her ruby eyes drop to her lap as she twiddles her thumbs. "O-oh...th-thank you." You mumbled.

Bernice is left speechless having no idea what to say next. Thankfully, the boy continued to bombard her with questions. The first one is a curious kind as if asking her what it's like to be a Gijinka.
"Um...it's ok, I guess?" She scoffed nervously. "I wish I was a fighting type, but that ain't' happening or maybe a steel or ghost type to get away from everything." She knew being a normal type was well...normal. There isn't anything fascinating about her and yet she struggles to make a point that she can. How, when she can't even believe it herself. The next question about disadvantage didn't even occur to her. All she was thinking about was brute strength and going against the grain. "Heck no! If I let a type of disadvantage get the better of me then I might as well quit my dream, because I wouldn't be challenging myself enough. It's all about the fighting spirit and as long as you got it in ya, nothing can break ya." She balls her hand and places it over her chest and stares intensely into Kitsune's eyes. A burning fire unmatching a physical fire. Bernice is a quirky Lopunny compared to the typical fancy lifestyle. She wants the hardships, the pain, the sweat, and tears to achieve greatness. "What about you?"

Kitsune Miyoki

"To be honest, I'm terrified of water types. I don't have any plans for them other than lowering their defense."
Kitsune said so with a puzzled look on his face as if this was a problem he had been trying to solve for quite a while. "That's why I think normal types are lucky! You don't have to worry about any one type beating you up!" Said Kitsune, but he was cut off from continuing their conversation by a knock at the door. From the moment he walked in, Mr. Pierson commanded the attention of everyone in the room. When he called Kitsune's name he mutely raised his hand. Kitsune was speechless when face to face with his most admired teacher.

"Miyoki, I said. Kitsune Miyoki." Said Mr. Pierson again, having not looked up from the papers beforehand. Kitsune tried to croak out something in response, but could only keep his hand up. Mr. Pierson finally looked up and walked over to Kitsune, handing him his paper. "It seems I have two mute students, I was uninformed." He said, handing the boy his schedule to a cacophony of giggles which were immediately squashed by a stern look from Mr. Pierson. Kitsune lay his head down on his desk in disappointment with himself.

Despite the ongoing chaos around the rest of the class, Lux found himself taken aback with how Draven was acting with him; the Houndoom unlike many others that had even attempt to associate with him in the past. Not even Aisu chastising the class and then getting in trouble for it could distract Lux from what Draven was currently saying.

Lux's initial reaction was to furrow his brows and scoff as Draven began to laugh, a typical reaction that seemed to occur whenever someone with ill intentions ever tried to act reasonable with him only to then crumble and break out of the facade. Alas, it wasn't until Draven apologized that Lux's furrowed brows raised ever so slightly in curiosity, the Luxray turning ever so slightly to look at the Houndoom as he began to speak, his comments hinting towards problems of his own that he seemed to be dealing with.

Whilst it brought no pleasure to Lux to discover that someone else seemed to be stuck in the mire of High School BS, it did make him feel more at ease that there was someone else who seemed to understand a bit of what he was going through, someone who wasn't fortunate enough to be standing on the side of the 'majority' but rather someone who for one reason or another had become lost along the way and ended up within the minority; an outcast so to speak. What convinced Lux that this wasn't just an elaborate act to fool him with was how Draven was accurate with what he said, two sides to every story and never being asked for his version of events, not even by those he was once close with; people he had fooled himself into believing were friends.

Shattered trust, it was nothing but painful to see people he once called friends jump on the bandwagon and ostracize him for a crime he didn't even commit. These were friends he grew up with, friends he'd spent years with getting to know and people that he had had the utmost trust with and whilst he would have defended their innocence to the grave, it became readily apparent that he was little more than trash that they'd easily discard for their own benefit and safety. Thus, despite what Draven had said, Lux was not so ready to trust again.

For Lux, trust was something that for a long time now he had associated only with pain and disappointment. A word with hollow meaning used only for the convenience of others. Whilst Lux knew nothing of Draven's past, he could tell that the Houndoom's attempt was a genuine one, an outstretched hand meant to pull Lux away from the darkness of isolation; yet even then Lux was hesitant. Trust was not a luxury that Lux had in spades, rather it was a resource he had long ago discarded in fear of getting burnt by it once again. Merely speaking to his classmate during first period was nowhere near enough for him to begin trusting once more; yet not acknowledging the attempt was also not going to help him escape the solitude either. Sighing at the dilemma he faced, Draven had taken the first step, so perhaps he could do the same to.

"I appreciate that you seem different to the others" muttered Lux, as Draven stared him in the eye. "Most people don't seem to care whether that is the whole truth or not after all its not their problem to deal with. I have X-ray vision and that was enough to be judged, labelled and ostracized. Its just far more easier and simpler for them to join the majority at the expense of the minority. Whether its the truth or not, their lives remain unchanged.. so why care about the consequences of their actions?" Lux's left hand was unconsciously digging into the top of his desk as elongated nails began to claw away at the surface as he held in his temper. "Nobody cares about the one at the bottom of the food chain, so long as their life is peachy and most would be happy to step on the wounded to better their own position in society. So regardless of my innocence, I doubt many would care now about whether or not I am innocent. Their minds are mostly made up and its easier for them to just accept it. All I can tell you is that I did not commit any of those acts that these rumours claim I did" finished Lux.

Alistair Burton

The class president's outburst had managed to break Alistair out of his thoughts about Damien, something he was a bit grateful for. Then, Aisu froze the Poison-types in place with the literal snap of her fingers, a rather scary display of frigid power. Fortunately for him, though, Ms. Rose did not display a similar outburst, and though Alistair could sense the mounting anger in the teacher's voice, he was at least somewhat relieved that she hadn't exercised her authority too severely. When the teacher told the class about "Hidden Abilities", Alistair put a hand to his chin. Meowstics didn't exactly have a "Hidden Ability" to speak of, but there was something he had done some amount of research into out of curiosity, a certain "Dream World", where Pokemon and Gijinkas alike could possess different abilities than normal. If Alistair remembered right, Meowstics could possess the "Prankster" ability in such a place. "As far as a Meowstic like myself is concerned, I don't exactly have a Hidden Ability, but there is supposedly a realm of dreams where I might have the 'Prankster' ability." Alistair responded to his teacher.

Returning to the scene between Draven and Lux, Alistair listened to what both of them had said. Draven has expressed his genuine desire to help Lux as someone who was "already at rock bottom", and Lux seemed to be somewhat accepting it, despite still showing signs of bitterness. It was when the Luxray expressed his belief that hardly anyone would care if he was innocent or not that Alistair broke his silence. While Alistair was mildly annoyed that Draven had asked Lux "the question" in a public space like the classroom rather than in privacy, Lux was still willing to answer it. "My apologies for butting in, but I couldn't keep quiet much longer. I'm Alistair Burton, 4th-year and present captain of the Chess Club. Draven here is an acquaintance of mine." Alistair said to Lux as he turned, gave a polite bow from his seat, and motioned towards Draven. As he was quite distant from the Luxray, his only option was telepathy-- something he did not use often, but it came in handy at times. "One thing you should know is that, even though we have just met, I do care. Allow me to reassure you that there are indeed those in high places that would seek to help those below to get there, themselves. I have some experience being around someone like that... someone who made a mistake in life, suffered because of it, and was in need of a metaphorical ladder to help them get back up to where they once were. As much as you've expressed your concern about others being dragged down with you, I don't fear that, myself. Again, I feel it is, to some extent at least, the responsibility of the strong to help the weak to become strong so they too may prosper. You don't need to give an answer right away, but if at some point you would allow me to join Draven in helping to uncover the truth behind what happened, I will come along without objections." Alistair explained to Lux as he maintained his trademark stoicism, but still gave the Luxray a small nod before turning his attention back to the lesson at hand.

"Lux, could you come up here please?" Alexis asked with her warm smile, showing that her anger at least wasn't present at the moment. "I'd like you to help me hand out everyone's schedule before I forget" she added

"After receiving your schedule please take the time to make sure that everything is correct, and the classes you have chosen are there, if there are any issues we can bring it up to the headmaster, there is also a segment at the bottom for you to fill out for a desired club that you can return to me" she stated as she grabbed a stack of papers from her desk

Lux answered Draven's question. Lux didn't commit the crime everyone has so casually placed on the boy and yet nobody has bothered to ask him directly. It's true that nobody cares about someone's personal affairs, he noticed that too when he was rebelling. He learned from his mistakes, the hard way and in some way, wanting Lux to see the light and prevail was some sort of personal benefit yet that's not what he wants it to be. He knows this route and wants Lux to survive with his sanity intact. He can tell how touchy the subject is just by watching the Luxray's body go against his words. The way he carved his desk like some sort of predator is the same comparison to when he would spark when he had a temper and when he was outcast. Draven couldn't deny just how cruel teenagers can be. They were just kids filled with hormones and confusion to conform with everyone else.

"You're right, nobody cares about the bottom of the food chain." He agreed. He had to go about it differently to assure the Luxray. "And nobody cares if you're innocent or not because they're just rumors, right? It's nobody's business but your own, and only you know the truth. So act like it's the truth. You're gonna let rumors win and people get to you? Your actions speak louder than words. Show them they're wrong or don't." He shrugged. "You can also stop caring so much about what they think or are you going to let them ruin your fiesta for the rest of the year? You seem like a bright guy and yet you're stuck with negative than positive. It's a little shocking because I hear Luxray's shine the brightest. They're brilliant, prideful and ambitious, why not use those traits to get yourself out?" He sighed heavily and rubbed his nape. "I can agree people are terrible and inconveniences happen, but I can also tell you that people come and go whether you like it or not. True friends stay with you no matter what." He saddens remembering his old friend. "The one's that don't stay are meant to be." He gives him a sad smile. "But you already know that...don't you?"

Suddenly, Draven jumps over the sound of someone's voice in his head speaking not only to him but Lux as well. "Alistair?" He whispered as the Meowstick added his two cents. The Houndoom face palmed feeling an invasion of privacy, but what's worse is inserting himself into the conversation instead of approaching it as if they weren't planning to help Lux . "Cripes Alistair..." He grumbled and silenced himself as he listened to his friend speak to Lux. He didn't want to confirm nor deny anything as he was skeptical towards Lux's reaction might be. Then Miss Rose asked for Lux and his schedule. When did she start handing them out?

It had been a very long time since Lux had had such a conversation with anyone other than his family and even then those conversations had become increasingly rare within the Raymond household. Since the end of last semester and the start of this one, Lux had been more reclusive around the family household, locking himself in his room and diving into the realm of gaming to distract him from the troubles at hand. Whilst his father and mother had noticed the change in his demeanour and questioned him about it, Lux had kept the problem a secret to even them, not wishing to cause them trouble or make them worry. His Jolteon father would have stormed into the academy and caused a scene whilst his mother would have probably felt at fault for giving Lux the Luxray genes. With Lux closing himself to even them, both his dad and mom could only assume that Luxray was going through 'that phase' in life.

Out of practice and somewhat uncomfortable with the topic, Lux could only sit there and listen to Draven go on, the Houndoom's persona far different to what Lux had been used to. Not even those he once called friends spoke with such warmth in their voice, making this experience all the more alien to him. However what really struck a chord within Lux was when Draven begun to list the traits associated with his species and it was when he mentioned them that Lux's eyes truly opened to just how low he had fallen since the beginning of his nightmare. Everything that Draven had listed had been lacking from Lux for the longest of time, so much so that it made it seem like he had not only been beaten emotionally but also robbed of his identity. He was a shell of who he was and what he was meant to be and in that realisation he had come to see just how much he had lost.

Teeth gritting and fists clenched tightly amidst a swirling vortex of conflicting emotions, Lux could not find a way to answer Draven, to counter his remarks without looking like a spoilt brat whose toys had been thrown out of the pram. Draven in all essence was right, acting this way rather than fighting for his case would only make it seem like the false truth was in fact the real truth. It would only solidify the false claims against him and thus the stigma would forever torment him, even after graduating... yet even if Draven's words were beginning to light a flicker of fire withing Lux, the boy was still unsure. He had been cast so far out into the cold desolate plains of isolation that even the ever growing warmth of Draven's sincere efforts seemed scary and intimidating, as if the fire behind his words would not only burn the icy shackles that bound Lux but engulf him as well.

"D..Draven.. I..."

Lux truly did not know how to respond to Draven, the dark haired boy merely able to forcefully mutter a few words as his conflicting emotions wrestled one another. Alas, faint mumblings and fear of the light were soon joined by the invasive tone of another; a voice almost echoing in his head causing Lux to quickly jolt his head and scour the room for the source before eyes finally fell upon the bowing Meowstic a row over and claiming one of the desk's behind Aisu. Whilst initially confused, it was soon made clear that this Alistair Burton was a friend of Draven's and another willing to extend their hand out towards him; the Meowstic's telepathic words radiating a calm and soothing aura.

Unlike Draven who spoke with words, Alistair was presently conveying his message via telepathy and whilst it was a first hand experience for Lux, he was quick to notice the accompanying sensations that seemed to emanate from each word that Alistair spoke. It was as if his own emotions were embedded with everything he said and because of that, Lux could not even begin to question the Meowstic's intentions. Everything was there to see and feel and that only added to Draven's efforts as well.

Again, Lux couldn't reply. He had become so imprinted with the idea of hands pushing him away, that he seemed hesitant to grab the two hands now stretched out in front of him, two hands that rather then seeking to keep him at a distance had instead offered him a way back out of the darkness. Lux couldn't help but feel a growing sense of optimism and relief swell within him and while he did try to contain his emotions physically by glancing outwards and rubbing his left arm against his face, he doubted he could hide the growing feelings away from the psychic type that had so easily entered his head.

"Alistair... Draven.. I really don't know what to..." Lux began to say and think, though his attempt to try and thank them was quickly cut off as the reality of them being back in a class was soon forced upon him and he was called up by Mrs Rose. Of all the people, why did it have to be him?

"Ok, Mrs Rose..." he mumbled unable to reject the teacher, not exactly keen on the idea. While Draven and Alistair had managed to make some leeway with the walls that Lux had built around himself, he still wasn't comfortable with the thought of having to walk up to each desk and hand out the schedules, especially to those who still looked at him with scorn in their eyes.

Chair screeching as he stood up, Lux once more wiped his face with the sleeve of his left arm, before walking around Draven and towards the teachers desk, the Luxray's ears twitching as he heard a few comments from some of the other students; someone going as far as to mention Lux using his vision on Mrs Rose as he got close to the desk, causing one or two others to laugh. Lux gritted his teeth and tried to ignore it as he took the schedules from her hand and began to hand them out; his eyes facing down towards the paper and not towards the other students as he passed. At least if he avoided looking at them, they'd have no reason to accuse him of invading their privacy with his eyes.

One by one, Lux handed out the papers to the other students; ignoring several more remarks as he passed by. For the most part he had been rather quick to place the paper on the desk's. Though he did stop for a bit, at the frozen tundra that now covered the vacant desk's of the trio of poison types who were presently being marched to the headmaster's office. It was when he came to Dani and Micah's desk that Lux paused once more, the electric gijinka avoiding eye contact with the Smeargle.
"I don't know what your motivations were... but thank you..." he offered her, referring to how she had chastised the poison types earlier song, though he did almost sneeze on both her and Micah as residual dust continued to orbit the overexcited furret. Arriving at Pepe's desk, Lux too found himself pausing as he wondered whether or not the Sylveon would have still taken a sludge bomb to the face if Lux had not been here to get the poison types overexcited with their antics.

"All done Mrs Rose.." Lux finally stated as he placed the last copy on Desk 1 and returned any spares left over to the Gardevoir, Lux out of habit keeping his line of sight out towards the window as he handed the papers over.

"Is there anything else you need?" he asked, though he hoped he could just get back to his seat.

"No thank you Lux, you may be seated" she smiled "but try not to be so tense, if you stay calm, and not let peoples rumors get to you, school will be a lot more enjoyable" he heard her voice say inside his head.

The overall lack of response towards Micah’s unconventional entrance into the classroom only served to reinforce his oblivious take on it. To him it made sense, he was simply doing as the headmaster had instructed, and clearly the silence of the others – including Ms. Rose – indicated they too shared that opinion. If only Micah could read the room, then he’d see the truth behind the silence.

However, it seemed like he didn’t have to learn to read the room after all. Alistair was the first who made the conscious decision to vocalize what the others were keeping to themselves, only to be silenced by the lingering dust attacking his senses. The next time the Meowstic spoke up was after the Sludge Bomb attack, but the topic of conversation had shifted to the (awful) pun Micah had made. Prompting the furball to defend the reasoning behind his comedic genius.

C’mon Alistair, don’t be like that…” Micah retorted, his tone dripping with feigned regret, “isn’t everyone weak to poison if you think about it? Eh? It’s not like being poisoned is nice, but it’s not that bad, right?

Unbeknownst to Micah, his ignorance was painfully obvious. Having already forgotten the lessons on type match-ups from prior years. Mostly on account of being a Normal-type himself. Yet, something in Alistair’s tone was clashing with his understanding of the subject regardless. Prompting Micah to lean forward in his chair to get a better look at Pepe’s condition. His ears perking up in the process as if the directional sound would be key to understanding the situation at hand.

From his rather poor vantage point, Micah could tell Pepe was eating something, presumably a berry, but couldn’t get a good view on what variety of berry it was. And if it hadn’t been for Alistair’s comment on the situation, he would’ve moved over to get that better view himself. “See? It’s not that bad, you worry too much, gotta unwind, ehr, not be so meow-strict, heh, geddit? ‘Cause-

Micah cut short his over-explaining of yet another pun when a cold, low tone of voice ensnared his attention in an instant. Completely overruling the interest he had in prolonging the banter with Alistair, and compelling him to move closer as to not disturb the class with a loud conversation. Micah easily – and elegantly – hopped over his desk and dashed over to the side of Aisu’s desk.

Hey!” He exclaimed with his trademark smile, ears perked high indicating his undivided attention, “I was gonna go do the other vents too, but there’s kinda a lot of them. So, it’s really nice to have some help, thanks! Though, are you sure you want to? It’s real dusty and don’t you have to keep looking this pretty as the class prez? Hey! Is part of being class prez caring about the school? Is that why, ohh, that makes sense-“ Micah simply rambled on, unaware of the scene he was undoubtedly causing by both misunderstanding Aisu’s threat and having the conversation about it in front of Ms. Rose.

Airin simply returned Bernice's greeting with a sweet smile and giggled at her cheekiness at the Ninetales boy. While their chatter was interesting enough for her, Airin decided to look around at her other classmates. There's an Ivysaur boy right in front of the Vibrava who looked like he's enjoying himself. Even the Dartrix herself felt happy by looking at him alone.

Moving on, there was Katya who was being surrounded by Ghost-types: Vivienne, the Palossand girl from before, and a Mimikyu girl whom Airin hadn't noticed before. Seeing Vivienne waving at her, Airin waved back in response. She wondered if she could join their gang of (mostly) ghosties when she evolves someday. I mean, Decidueye is a Grass/Ghost type, right?

At the other corner over there, there's an Absol girl who looked like she's taking a nap. Better not disturb her, Airin thought. It was at that moment that her Pokephone vibrated. Seems like she got a message from Brenna who asked if it was true that she got into the Gijinka Academy. "Yeah, I got in there. But sorry sis, having a class rn," Airin texted in response to Brenna's question.

And then there's someone knocking on the door, prompting everyone to get settled. A Typhlosion came into the classroom, introducing himself as Mr. Pierson, the 1st and 2nd years' homeroom teacher. The man looked quite intimidating, yeah. He explained what to be expected in his class, then did a roll call. The brunette girl decided to use the roll call time to try memorizing everyone's names.

As the actual mute student in the class, Airin got this WTH moment at Mr. Pierson's comment as he called the Ninetales boy's name: Kitsune Miyoki. She widened her eyes in disbelief because as far as she had seen, Kitsune was quite an energetic guy. Never did she expect that he would be that awkward in front of their homeroom teacher, of all people.

"Moving on, Airin Fletcher!" Mr. Pierson called. Airin immediately stood up in response, hoping nothing bad came her way. She signed a "Thank you, sir," with one hand as her other one accepted the schedule given to her.

I'm practically late for my first class. Ahhh, damn it I'm the worst!" She whined to herself and stopped dead in her tracks, frantically searching for her room number. "Crap! which one was it again?" She held on to her witchy hat as she whipped around for the room number. She rummages through her bag and opens the folder reading the role call chart. "Twelve." She said breathless and waltzed to the last room. "Ten, so then it's the third floor." She mumbled and raced up the flight of stairs making the soles of her heels echo through the corridor.

Once she spotted the golden number embedded on the wall, she turned thr knob and opened the door. There she stood trying to catch her breath. The opening slam of the door loud enough for students to hear as Audri stood on the doorway. "I'm so sorry....ha....I'm so sorry....I'm late...to class." Standing on the podium was Miss Alexis Rose attending to the students. "Miss Rose, thank you for substituting my students. I forgot to set my alarm up and my calendar that today is the first day." She sheepishly chuckled.

a5982c5c8fe45759194809cbcbae3a2e.jpg Bernice was caught by surprise by Kitsune's perspective. She hadn't thought of it that way. It made sense that a fire would be terrified of water, why a charmander's flame is practically it's life source. One drop of water and he's done for. Normal types are the same yet somewhat reselient. "Makes sense..." she mumbled. "But even so...wouldn't you want to be the first to debunk type advantages and prove that as long as you're brave you can do anything?"

The conversation ceased as Bernice heard a knock on the door. Entering the room was their homeroom teacher, Mr. Pierson. His presence commanding respect sending a shiver down her spine. She let her imagination wander as his piercing gaze felt as though he was staring at everyone's soul, reading their character just by looking. His demeanor changed to a mellow one yet there lingered his assertion should he need to put his foot down.

His lecture went one ear and out the other, the next thing she knew, he had called her name causing her to jump in her seat and squeak "here" to him. Embarrassed by her response, her fact grew flustered and only grew when the teacher made a cheeky remark. Bernice wanted to hide away. She wasn't the only one, Kitsune felt the same as he hung his head. Bernice felt a little easy to know she wasn't the only one suffering and gave him a pat on the back.
"I know just how ya feel." She whispered.

"Maximilian Deturo" Max was broken out of his basking when his name was called. He turned and looked towards the teacher, wondering when he'd shown up before he saw the paper being held by him "Oh! The schedule!" he laughed and went to move before pausing...he didn't want to really leave the comfort of the sunshine. For a second, he wondered if the teacher would bring it to him before he shook his head and two vines extended from underneath the back of his shirt, stretching across to the teacher and taking the paper "Thank you sir" he said taking the paper from his vines and studying it. It was weird to not have his schedule dictated to him with the expectation that he'd instantly memorize it.

Having a piece of paper with that information was a nice change of pace. He looked around and smiled at his other classmates, happy to see a few other guys around. It wasn't like he didn't like girls or want to be friends with them, but he'd spent the majority of his life being raised and trained along side his sisters, sometimes one just wanted to have guy friends for a change.

She said as she rests rests her legs back onto her desk again as her attention returns back to the front of the classroom to pay attention to the lessons as Ms. Rose started to talk about hidden abilities "Hidden abilities aye?" she said to herself "Now I think about it...Bro said that our hidden ability is moody. A ability that sharply boost one of our stats but also lowers one." She said to herself quietly as she look around the classroom again as she sees a Hatterene enter "Oh...I guess Ms. Rose was a substitute." She said.

Kitsune Miyoki

ALRIGHT! PE Right after Homeroom! I wonder who'll be teaching it. Will the third and fourth years be practicing at the same time?
Thought Kitsune, trying to leave the fact that he had completely ignored his professor behind. Oh Arceus, he just thinks I'm rude. Why am I being so weird? He's my teacher, I'll have all year to learn from him, but I felt as if anything I said would sound unimpressive. Kitsune continued reading his own schedule and turned so that Bernice, Airin, and Victor could hear him and see his face. He smiled, "I'm sorry, I get really nervous when I get caught off guard. Especially by someone as cool as Mr. Pierson. Did you know he knows how to use Eruption? As far as fire type moves go, it's potentially the strongest if the user has a lot of HP. I bet he doesn't even care if his opponent is a water type. Of course Bernice, I wouldn't ever back down from a fight, no matter the opponent. I just said I don't have a plan." He giggled and winked at his last sentence, before turning sideways in his chair and resting his arm on it's back.

"I'm sorry for not addressing you before Airin, I don't know sign language, and I feel like that means I don't have the right to be your friend. I'll learn though! I think my sister remembers how to do it, er- speak it? Sorry. Our grandmother was mute, but she passed away before I was born. She taught my big sister ASL, and I'm sure Aisu could teach me!" He looked her in the eye and addressed her in a rather formal tone. Then he smiled and addressed all three of the others near him by the windows, his orange cream colored ears bobbing as he cocked his head. "Do you three have PE right after homeroom as well?" asked the Gijinka politely in an inside voice so as not to disrupt if the teacher should start instructing. He turned back toward the front just to make sure he wouldn't be scolded and caught Aisu walking by the window of the classroom door. What was she doing out of class?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aisu Miyoki

"Move it!" Lashed out Aisu in a tone which resembled the lash of a whip. The three gijinka's in front of herhad the posture that would remind one of someone on a leash pulling a rickshaw carrying the class president. They picked up their pace a bit without looking back. The one in the middle stated;

"HEY hey hey chill out. Sue me for not wanting to get assigned detention even faster. The longer we take the longer the Headmaster has to finish his coffee." Droned the one in the middle.

"The longer you take the more likely I am to use Sheer Cold again." Chirped Aisu as happily as a songbird. The middle boy shivered, still dripping wet from the fox's earlier retaliation in Pepe's defense. It wasn't a fair trade, in his opinion. "If I miss the rest of this period, I'm using you three as striking pads before PE." Said Aisu, her tone low and murderous.

"H- hey, that actually seems pretty fun. My dad taught me how to box! I hold the pads for him all the time!" Said the one on the right, a little enthusiastic. He was actually starting to believe getting pulled in on his friends' antics was going to pay off.

"That's not what I said we'd be doing."Aisu crooned, a mischievous smile curling across her mouth. The three boys flinched as if burned by a hot poker at her words and started walking nearly twice the speed they had been.

This really sucks! Miss Webster just got back! And Draven just talked to Lux the whole period, he didn't even look my direction. Said Aisu in an entitled tone in her head. She blushed a little even though she didn't say the words out loud, embarrassed she could have such a schoolgirl crush. You are a schoolgirl, silly girl. She heard her father say in her head. If only she knew what mother expected of her, he would understand why she was so hesitant to engage with her classmates personally. No, she played the distant leader, hoping they would believe her façade of the perfect student. It was only a few more moments before they were in front of the Principle's office. She instructed the three to sit down in the pale pink plastic bowl chairs seated around the waiting area of the main lobby, adjacent to which was the Principle's door which had a large fog glass window which read "Headmaster." They all plopped down complacently.

She knocked a light few taps and called innocently inside. "Headmaster! Aisu Miyoki, sir. I've been instructed to bring you three misbehaving students from class four. May I come in?"

Alistair Burton

After Lux had handed out everyone's schedules, Alistair looked over his own, and everything looked correct. Under the section for clubs, Alistair simply wrote, "Chess Club". He was in charge of the club for one last year-- it wouldn't have made sense for him to surrender his position all of a sudden.

To Alexis's comment, Alistair replied, "Ah, yes. That's quite the good point." As he spoke, he took notes about gender playing a role in what Hidden Abilities a Gijinka might possess.

Alistair noticed Draven's reaction to his telepathic speech to Lux and put his hand to his mouth in embarrassment. /Blast. Maybe I was being too honest.../ He thought.

But, to his surprise, Lux seemed to take Alistair's words quite well, since for one thing, the Luxray's expression hadn't returned to one of anger like what he had displayed towards the Poison gang. /Oh. Well, alright then. I ought to apologize to Draven later on, though-- he seemed upset./ Alistair thought some more.

And, speaking of those that might want apologies, Micah was up next, as the Furret sitting behind Alistair had expressed dismay towards his words. Normally, this was where Alistair would explain that not all types of Gijinkas were explicitly weak to Poison-- especially not Steel-types, who were straight-up immune, but Alistair, still retaining something of a good (non-displayed) mood from his speech to Lux, kept that comment to himself. "Well, being poisoned isn't exactly nice, you're right about that." When Micah made another pun, Alistair somewhat felt obligated to enjoy it this time, even going so far as to nearly crack a smile. "Sure, I'll give you that one. I guess I do need to, as they say, 'lighten up a bit', and... I apologize. I can tell you were trying to be helpful with the vents, and besides, you did seem to enjoy that. It's at least a good thing you were the one to be jettisoned through there and not, say, a first-year who might wind up getting scared out of their wits. Keep up the--" Alistair couldn't finish his sentence, however, as the Furret bounced over to Aisu's desk. /With the class president helping him out, he'll keep this school dust-free, to be certain./

Pepe had wiped the poison gunk off of himself in the meanwhile, and this made Alistair feel ever-so-slightly more relieved. At least now, the Sylveon wouldn't need to worry about coming to the next class looking dirty.

All of a sudden, a Hatterene nervously rushed into the classroom and made it apparent that Alexis was just a substitute until she, the real teacher for the class, had showed up. Still, the premise of a teacher having somewhat questionable time management skills made Alistair a bit confused, but then again, he wasn't perfect, either.

Lessee, what's the schedule again... Airin checked on her own schedule from before. Homeroom, PE...
He giggled and winked at his last sentence, before turning sideways in his chair and resting his arm on it's back.
She couldn't help but to stifle a giggle as Kitsune rambled on and on. He clearly saw Mr. Pierson as someone admirable. Considering they're both Fire-types, that makes sense.

"I'm sorry for not addressing you before Airin, I don't know sign language, and I feel like that means I don't have the right to be your friend. I'll learn though! He looked her in the eye and addressed her in a rather formal tone.
Luckily for Airin, her notebook was already back by now. Since Kitsune had mentioned that he didn't know sign language, she proceeded to write this on the notebook and showed it to him:
"What do you mean "I don't have the right to be your friend"?
I mean, we still can be friends, y'know."

"Do you three have PE right after homeroom as well?"
Airin looked at her schedule again, then simply nodded in affirmation. I hope he can understand basic gestures...

"I didn't tap snooze I literally just told you I forgot to even set the alarm." She corrected as she approached the podium. Suddenly, in a swift motion, she felt a cool breeze as Alexis swindled her precious hat. Audri panicked and held her head feeling weird without it. "H-hey! Give that back!" She protested trying to sound stern but failed. It was always like this, for some reason the Gardevoir had the tendency to pick on her. Audri never figured out for sure if it was out of spite or just a friendly teasing. Audri being a sweetheart decided on the latter. She reached for the hat on the hook once Alexis had gone and placed it back on her head with a content sigh. "Ah that's better." she told herself. "Thankfully, Miss Rose this is MY classroom and I adore hats. Therefore hats are allowed. It's not like it's hurting anyone, right kids?" She faced the class and winked. Her attachment to the hat was due to the claw hanging at the tip of it. It was used as a third hand and found it quite useful.

"Hello class, My name is Miss Webster and I am your true home room teacher. I I am sincerely sorry for being late. When you've been on a year long vacation your schedule rearranges." She sheepishly rubs her nape. "Speaking of schedules, I hope you received them and-WHAT IN THE HELL HAPPENED HERE?!!" Audriella's jaw drops, mortified over the scene laying in front of her in the time she was absent. A Sylveon was drenched in purple goo now leaked onto the floor leaving tracks to the outside and a metallic vent cover on the ground in the dead center of her stage and from what she can gather, one of them is the culprit covered in dust. It was obvious the Furret is to blame. The Hatterene grew pale realizing had she arrived sooner, this would have all been avoided. She shakes her head getting down to business.

She turns to the one in need of attention. She walked over to Pepe and immediately got a whiff of poison. "Sludge bomb." She mumbled recognizing the liquid. "Sylveon boy." She called out with a calm and soothing voice and tipped his head surprised there was no sign of any kind of symptoms. "Please head to the nurses office immediately and have the nurse check up on you. Whether you're fine or not it's school policy. That goes for everyone. Ever since last year...." She struggled with trying to word the incident without actually talking about it. "...policy about wounds have been strict for your own safety. We'll talk about that after I deal with matters." Her tone shifting to serious one as she walks over to the cover and sets it aside. "Furret boy! You have a lot of explaining to do!" Her icy glare shifting to Micha. "Damaging school property is unacceptable! What in the world were you doing in the vents anyways? That's a hazard and students shouldn't be anywhere near certain spots. That's the janitor's and Groundskeeper's job." She scolded.

It quickly became apparent that the attempted conversation Micah had instigated was a one-sided one. The class president, Aisu, prioritized handling the problematic Poison-types rather than making plans for cleaning up the vents. Ultimately this was the responsible choice, but it didn’t prevent Micah from watching her leave the room. His otherwise sparkling smile overtaken by a confused frown. Prez sure works hard. He thought to himself as his gaze shifted to the hole in the roof. We’ll get the rest of the vents clean in no time!

Convinced their agreement to clean up after lunch was still on – despite having gotten no verbal confirmation whatsoever – Micah returned to his seat the only way he knew how. By placing his hands firmly on the surface of the desk and vaulting over it. Once seated, Micah turned his gaze to Dani, eager to tell her about his upcoming ‘date’ with the class president.

Yet, no matter how he wanted to discuss the topic with Dani, he had little time to do so before a new voice ensnared his ever-shifting attention. Micah’s ears were standing at attention as he trailed their new teacher, Ms. Webster, across the room with big eyes. Following her every move, from inspecting the room to sending Pepe to the nurse’s office. His ears shot up further due to high alert when the curious new teacher directed her attention solely at him. Piercing Micah with her icy glare.

I do?” Micah’s first response was one of pure confusion, “Hey! I didn’t damage anything! The headmaster said to clean up, and I was. I mean I did! The vents were dusty and now they’re not, I can show you! Well, ah- ehm... if you have a light I can,” Micah scratched the back of his neck for a moment before continuing, “It’s real dark up there, but! Buuut, it’s not like it’s dangerous, just dusty. I mean it’s not dusty anymore now, because I cleaned it. Either way, I didn’t do anything bad, I just did what the headmaster asked is all…

3rd/4th Year Homeroom (Room 12)

Looking at his schedule, Pepe sure took his time to check it out thoroughly. So I've got chemistry, sign language, drama... Yosh! All good. he double-checked his chosen electives, then smiled in satisfaction. And as for the club, he wrote the helper club at the designated part of the schedule. He was in there two years ago and the school was cancelled last year, so he kinda missed helping people (staffs and students alike) as a helper club member.

And then a Hatterene came in out of the blue, desperately apologizing for her tardiness. Say what now??? Pepe was so dang befuddled at this scene. I mean, a late teacher being teased by her substitute? That sure was quite a WTH moment for the class. Not to mention that the teacher, Ms. Webster, considered her witch hat as something inseparable from her.

Anyway, Ms. Webster started to properly act like a teacher... only to freak out upon seeing the utter mess this class had in her absence. Dang, we're all doomed... the Sylveon thought. But luckily for the class, the Hatterene immediately addressed the problems on hand, starting from Pepe himself.

She turns to the one in need of attention. She walked over to Pepe and immediately got a whiff of poison. "Sludge bomb." She mumbled recognizing the liquid.
Pepe sweatdropped, not sure what to say or do as Ms. Webster started examining him up close. He seriously wanted to confess about the poison gang whom Aisu had been escorting a moment ago and the fact that he had already munched a Lum berry as soon as he got poisoned, but he just... couldn't.
We'll talk about that after I deal with matters."
The request somehow reminded Pepe of his own to-do list. Note to self: in case of residual poison, see Ms. Bayou ASAP. By ASAP, he originally intended to do it while moving to the next class, but now that it came to this, he seriously had to do it right now. "Y-yes, ma'am," that's all he could say. The Sylveon boy stood up and walked away with a polite "Excuse me."

As he reached the door, Pepe looked back only to find Ms. Webster scolding Micah for whatever happened with the vents. Poor guy, he sighed. At least Ms. Webster got the cases right. That being said, the Sylveon walked out from the class straight to the medbay nurse's office.
