"Trivet, when was i ever disappointed in you?" iku asked holding trivet. "Exactly, i never was, and i never will be. It is ok, and don't you think different of it." Iku said assuring trivet. "I'm proud of how far you come ok?"

"I haven't." huan said calming down though his tone was cold. "Well congrats. You were able to open up to someone even though they knew nothing of you and were accepted. wouldn't that be grand but listen here, we are different. We aren't like one another. I just see someone who had problems and managed to find someone to help fix them. That is all i see." he scoffed. "Faith is what drove people to madness. People believe anything now, that's the problem." He muttered folding his arms. "When you been around so many types of people, it's easy to detect differences in someone."

Huan said nothing, just stood away from him folding his arms. "Perhaps i will take that apology." he muttered. Iku stood next to sukura in silence, he was proud of trivet apologizing but it still felt..like something was wrong. Because trivet and huan were arguing, he had time to inspect everything. Eyes glazing over every rock that sat still in the waterbed. He noticed when huan mentioned the abyss, his posture stiffened and it looked like he was struggling. From his posture he could imagine chains or hands weighing him down, trying to keep him silent. He was trapped here for a reason no? so of course whoever or whatever trapped him would want to make sure he stayed silent as he served his sentence. He did not tell any of the three of his thoughts, kept them to himself as he watched both trivet and huan argue with a straight face.

Iku gave a nod as he ordered a to-go for some lo mein. They both walked around the harbour in hopes to catch sight of huan. "I don't know man. He seems iffy, but i noticed it feels like there is an outside force keeping him here. Did you pick up the subtle hints he isn't from here and is being kept here for whatever reason? same thing with the vision. it's fake. he is using elemental powers without a vision, those from the fallen nation are known to possess powers that don't fall under the seven elements though it seems close enough to cryo. Maybe he chose that for a reason? And ya, perhaps he tried to push trivet's buttons in hopes you got the memo he needs help in a discrete way so one would get suspicious." He said eating the lo mein as they walked. "anyway.." he said looking over the harbour then behind him and noticed someone with the horns that huan had, perched on the roof of a building. "hey.." iku said shaking trivet's shoulder. "I think we found him. I'm not sure how to get up there, i don't think he would want us to you know..meet in public."

“I know but still, doesn’t make me feel any easier on the worrying part, I’d hate to disappoint you of all people. What you think of me… means a heck of a lot to me.” He said looking down as Iku held him. “Thanks Iku, That’s why your the best!” He smiled.

“If that is all you see then I’m afraid your not seeing the whole picture and only what you “want” to see good or bad. It’s more than. What you think but I think your a little afraid to admit that.” He said looking down at his nails.
“That may be so but it’s also driven a lot of other things, the people wouldn’t have faith in all they do if they were truly mad no? I mean that’s all life is made up of isn’t it? Faith and trust?” Trivet shrugged “maybe so but still I think you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover”

“Good, because they don’t come often, I don’t tend to have to do sincere ones so consider yourself lucky!” He scoffed slightly.

Sukura noticed Iku gazing off and tapped him on the shoulder “everything okay?” She asked checking he was okay for a loud personality she met just yesterday it was strange to see him so quiet.

“Iffy?” Sukura questioned unsure what Iku Meant by this.
“Dodgy, or not right, something off you know something like that” Trivet answered before turning back to Iku “I agree there was something strange about his situation no doubt about that… he still ticks me off though.” He said folding his arms.
Trivet looked up at Iku “you studied him a lot while I argued with him didn’t cha?” He said nudging Iku.

“That son of CheeseCracker!” Trivet scoffed as he looked out at the harbour… “why can we just …. “ he was going to say more until he was abruptly shaken on the shoulder for his attention “okay, okay watch the shoulder, still hurts.” He said turning. “Seems like him…” trivet looked around then stopped and peered to one section I particular “let’s go over behind that building there is some rocks we will use that, let’s go!” He said as they headed over.

Sukura headed off to explore a few other area’s of the festival before her eyes striking the figure looking like Huan. She made her way over but not before seeing Iku and Trivet who saw him too. She waved them down and joined them as they headed up to the figure on the roof that looked like Huan.

"I know i am." he said proudly, now come on! let's go." he said taking trivet's arm and dragging him along with sukura following close behind. "The day isn't getting any shorter you know? Let's go help our new friend! hey maybe they can be swayed to join our party to defeat the abyss!" He said with a grin, eye's shiny with hope. "he seems to be in pain no? perhaps that's what clouds his judgement!"

"Afraid. How pathetic i would be if that was true." he muttered..."Fath, trust and fear. How did those who are royal keep their line? fear. If they weren't trustworthy or no one had faith in them, fear drove them to keep them in their seats." he said. "I mean, this world would be quite different if there was no fear that they kept monarchs on their seats even though they were toxic and manipulative." He scoffed. "I have judged many books by their covers, and they were correct. Maybe you will tell a story of something different than what you're saying. but for now, i speak indifferent of you."

"I don't think I doubt i will." he muttered. "Besides, being sarcastic doesn't fit you. Trying to scoff makes you blow up like a pufferfish." he said rolling his eyes. "Lucky is a stretch.." He sighed.

Iku looked over and gave a nod. "I'm good, just letting trivet do all the talking for now. I'm just looking over our surroundings." he said turning back to huan. Eyeing the movements huan made with laser focus. "Well..i have some theories strung up but i'm not sure, i'll wait to test them out. Or at least put them on the table." he said folding his arms. "Well. Just odd i suppose? Something out of the ordinary you get?" he said looking over to sukura. "I guess you can't help that but i'm not sure. Pain..like he is in pain? puppet strings?" he questioned. "Not official or whatever. We don't know his whole backstory but might be something?"

"Well how could i not? such an oddball character in this story. You know i like people watching if i'm not talking or eating. Well i noticed many things that separate him from a normal adepti, heck a normal person. His eyes phased between gold to one appearing silver. Did you see? his hair slightly covers his right eye and it is more closed then the other one, as if he is trying to hide something. He should have been wearing an eyepatch but i guess since he left humanity more or less, decided not to since it wasn't worth it since he isn't speaking to people 24/7?" He pointed out. "Or how his vision frame is broken, chipped. He said he clipped it off but i doubt that, it's either someone else that broke it or it's a fake. It doesn't have a shiny surface. More matte?" he said. "Horns..which are seen by adepti yes but if he isn't one, what is he? are they fake? why would he go to that lengths to try to look like an adepti if he isn't?" He frowned. "he is a character dipped in mystery sauce. Drenched in it at this point don't you think?"

"Sorry sorry!" iku said stopping in an instant and apologizing. "but look! on the rooftop!" he said pointing on the rooftop were a lone figure stood standing. "alright!" he said running over there and climbing the rocks with ease, helping trivet up as well as they made their way up the stairs." Iku was first up and approached the figure with caution. "HI? uh..sir..is that you?" iku questioned. the figure stood up and huan was there. "congrats. you found me, and brought your friends along as well. Enjoying the lantern rite like i said i would be, what brings you here trying to reach me on this roof top?" he questioned folding his arms.

“Okay, okay! Let’s go!” Trivet laughed.
As he was being dragged along he heard the words “wait you want him to join the party?” He questioned after how he spoke to him he thought neither Would want to be around beach other again but he sighed perhaps it’ll be different perhaps? He pondered as they headed back to the harbour.

Trivet sighed “I literally don’t even know how I can explain this…to you I didn’t mean ahhh forgot it, you’ll just twist the words anyways…” he said waving Huan off.
“Well yes while thst is true I think your missing a big point here. Things aren’t always in depth and detail as your making them can’t you see it as plain and simple, like we want to talk to you and we offered you to join our party and be our friend? Like what’s so what’s to complicate about that? And all this it doesn’t need to be over stretched so let’s leave it at that shall we?” He said rolling his eyes.

“Rude….” Trivet muttered under his breath glancing only slightly at Huan.
“THAT’S IT LET ME AT HIM!” Trivet yelled as he tried moving out the ice but failing to do so and Sukura grabbing hold of him to calm him down she was perplexed as to what was Ticking each of them both off so much.

“You normally let him run off his words like that?” She questioned “for a small person he sure don’t give a crap” she said shaking her head slightly. “He seems so sweet and innocent.” She muttered.

Sukura “sure that’s a good idea also you don’t want any ears listening either? But it’s good you got ideas your very observant.” Sukura said impressed.
Trivet nodded “I can never hide anything from him he knows all and studies body language of others I did a performance once and he noticed an abyss mage coming for me and was on it in milliseconds!” He said leaning back into Iku.

Sukura nodded “yeah something like that I guess, I’m not sure but I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for him, also you both refer to me as part of your party, do you really mean it?” She asked Iku.
“Yes most definitely” Sukura nodded.

“Yeah I know I’m surprised you haven’t told Sukura about the trading card game and beetle battles that happen on the island, you never miss a chance on that conversation. But this so true speaking of food, here is an apple” trivet gave him the apple puppy dog eyes looking at him.

“Really? I suppose I tried more times looking away from him than at him to notice all this, you think it means something more than what he’s leading us on to believe?” He asked.
“An eyepatch? What would that do to help though? Should we get him one to take with us if we see him? Make that our…. Well my peace offering anyways.” He sighed.
“Hmmmm I can see maybe to blend in, not have questions asked? Probably thought he wouldn’t met anyone who would ask as many questions as us? Perhaps?”

“I mean he’s drenched in something and the mystery sauce? Is everything with you food related?” Trivet said laughing “you trying to tell me your hungry again then again I do want to find out more and perhaps this encounter will be different, let’s go find an eyepatch for him.” Trivet said determined.

“It’s okay, it’s fine just a little tender, I see, I see.. it looks like him for a distance.” Trivet said tilting his head as if to get a better angle.

“Hey slow down, I’m not as fast as you or a great rock climber like you I don’t have that kind of stamina” he said struggling to climb the rock.

Sukura followed shortly behind also taking the climbing with ease making trivet sigh at his incompetence.

Sukura and trivet stood beside Iku as he approached the figure hoping it was Huan and it indeed was Huan.

Trivet sighed relief and also annoyance but it slowly depleted as he helped the eye patch on his hand and walked towards Huan “my peace offering to you with once again my most humblest apologies for my behaviour earlier. I hope we can start a new and get to know each other better.” He said bowing before returning to Iku’s side.

Sukura looked at him “we also thought you may not have wanted to be alone watching the lanterns so we thought you could use some company and Iku brought the snacks.” She giggled.

“So whadaya say?” Trivet asked looking at Huan in a humble, friendly warm way different than his first encounter with him.

"why not? it would suck being alone, especially when you finally spoke to someone new and boom, gone as quick as they came. Even though you guys didn't have a good time, it's still someone. I mean it hurts if you have been isolated for so long? in pain? without anyone to talk to right?" Iku questioned trivet. "He needs someone, and you can be that someone! even though you guys argued the whole time, i think you can be friends. Trust me."

"WHOA!" iku yelled, grabbing trivet along with sukura to hold him back from going ham against trivet. "Hey calm down!" Iku pleaded with trivet. "It's not worth it, trying to kill him just because he ticked you off." Iku said managing to get trivet not wanting to lunge at huan, huan just watched with a displeased look on his face not saying a word. "well..no. But i think it should be allowed to let him blow off steam?" iku said rubbing the back of his head. Just as long as he doesn't try to kill himself or the person he is pissed at.." he said looking at huan with uncertainty. "I mean. everyone has a breaking point, even the ones that look like a cinnamon roll?" Iku frowned "well i find that rude. Just because he can say this and do this does not change who he is as a person! you should know that!" he said looking at sukura. "You're judging a book by its cover now." He scoffed slightly.

"I'm observant if i have nothing to talk about or eat. Rare does it happen but it's a nice skill." he said looking around him. "See! told you it's a good skill!" he said patting trivet lightly on the back. "Shame i can't use it often mainly because my attention is focused on other things but it's there." He said giving a grin. "Why not? you been with us this far, course your part of our group!" he said bringing them all in a group hug. "Hopefully huan will join us soon enough!" he said squeezing them before letting go.

"well i don't want to i guess overwhelm her?" iku shrugged. "BUT I MEAN IF YOU WANT TO KNOW!" iku said turning to sukura, stars in his eyes. "WE CAN GO BEETLE FIGHTING! THEIR ACTUAL NAME IS ONIKABUTO BUT BEETLES ARE FINE! NATIVE TO INAZUMA, HAVE YOU EVER SEEN ONE?!" He yelled but quieted down quickly. "apple?!" he asked grabbing it from the air and eating it quickly. "thanks trivie! I was really hungry!" he said giving a smile.

"I'm not sure, make the eye less visible? or something? and well i think he is trying to tell us something discreetly! as if he can't tell us freely because of what is holding him captive! like a charades game you get?" iku questioned. "Perhaps he was caught off guard by you and lashed out because he didn't know how to act?" iku suggested. "I mean sounds right in my ears. and well..i mean..no..?" iku sighed. "Hey man, i love my food but doesn't the analogy work? You gotta admit it does though!" iku pointed out. "Alright! let's go!" he said as they browsed through merchants till they found one suitable.

Huan backed away as trivet got closer, nearing the edge, his foot reaching the tip of the roof. "what do you want?" he scowled, "come to yell at me again? why go out of your way to talk to me when you could be enjoying the festival hm?!" He hissed. "bowing now are we?" he muttered. He took the eyepatch and felt the fabric. "nice quality..." he sighed. He took a step forward but lost his balance and fell off the roof. He hit the next level below with a smash, good thing there was an event going on with loud noises so him smashing into the tiles didn't stir much attention, he laid there splayed on the roof, groaning as he tried to get up. "Well doesn't that sound grand?" he yelled up to sukura. "Can't do much since i think my back is broken." he grunted as he blood blossomed on his clothing.

“I mean I guess so…” trivet said looking down. “We only didn’t get along because he started it.” Trivet said rubbing his food along the boards on the bridge.
Trivet sighed “I love your optimism Iku but I doubt he even wants to hear my name again.. he wouldn’t want anything to do with me I’m sure.. I mean who would? Especially after thst encounter.” He looked out on the harbour “I don’t know how many more worry’s I can provide before he would take it, probably think I’m just trying to get everyone to love me because let’s face it Bards seek appraisals all the time and I’m no different, clearly to him anyways it’s like I wasn’t even myself, like he was drawing the bad out in me which I had no control over… I don’t know .” He said there plucking a few cords in his lute.

Trivet scrambled in place trying to swipe the air in Huans direction. But stopped when iku and Sukura held his arms back “I don’t wanna kill him I just….‘arggh” he said slumping down in their arms helplessly.

“So his blowing off steam is to be taken out on someone he just met? Things are different in Inazuma Huh? We normally just do laps around Mondstat with Noelle. Besides I don’t think he has it in him to kill another unless Huan went for you then I think it’ll be a different story, you mean a lot to that kid. He listens to you and looks to you for guideence, presumably he’s waiting for you to in a way tell him how to react it looks from the outside he’s doing all the work because your not? Like he has to protect you? Like you do for him. Again he’s still just a kid…” she shrugged.
“I mean he just looked like a heated cinnamon roll right now.” She giggled.

“I didn’t mean to overstep on that part I’m sorry but I’m only going by what I’m seeing right now.” She looked back to huan “I guess I am… but he’s making it hard to not, both of them are.” She frowned as she watched them.

“I can see that it is most impressive” she nodded to iku.
“Yeah focused on food or those tiny little guys” trivet nudged Iku knowing he knew what he meant.
“Winning food and drink is a trait that you just so happen to be the best I know” he smiled softly.
“Awwww, well I’m honoured to be initiated in a member of this group it’s an honour” she said placing her hand to her chest “you two have become valued friends and yes I hope Huan can join us I think he will fit in just right.” She smiled as she was embraced by iku.

“Errr beatle battle?” She tilted her head in confusion.
As iku excitedly expressing his love for beatle battles she giggled and smiled at his enjoyment “sounds fun would love to see it sometime”
“Errrm, I’ve never left Mondstat so I haven’t I’m afraid.” She said saddened.

“No probs Iku.” trivet said distant in his mind giving a thumbs up as he still looked out over the harbour.

“If so he went the wrong way about it, there are totally other ways to even try and subtly hint at anything thst could be going on, BUT I can’t deny that is probably the case.
“Perhaps, start on the kid they all do, small enough and easy to pick on….yay” he said face straight.
“I mean I can’t deny it doesn’t, you always have a way with your words iku, a way I aspire to be!” He smiled softly looking at iku.

Trivet backed off also sheer panic washed over his face, he’s never intended to make someone scared of him he’s the least intimidating person, all though that’s what he thought. He sighed slightly shaking as his anxiety hit an all time high he never got the before a performance so why was Huan able to make him feel this way. “No not here to yell, I wanted to offer you a peace offering and say I’m sorry once again.” He said handing him the eye patch.
“It’s called respect you deserve it.” He said by looking at him Huan could see he was broken by his early behaviour.

As Huan fell off the roof Trivet ran to the edge and climbed down, falling down also at the end but adjusted himself grabbing Huan and pulling some bandages out and placing a compress on Huan where he had caught the tiles . Even though himself was bleeding.

Sukura yelled “are you okay? Sheesh how did you manage To loose your footing.” She said joining iku in pulling a rope down to them so they could join them lower down.

Trivet saw the patch on Huan and directed the compress onto it to stop the bleeding “hold still it’ll only hurt more.” He said but Huan could feel his hands shaking as he was holding the compress against him, his voice shaking also, the once so confident was not so confident.
“Let’s get you back to the inn and get you rested.” Sukura said.

"So? doesn't hurt to try. Just because you think he does, doesn't mean he thinks the same way. trust me!" iku said optimistically, patting trivet on the head. "First encounters and such, first impressions matter they say but for now, i think you can both look past that." He looked out at the harbour along with trivet and sighed. "people besides bards do that. it's nothing out of the ordinary but..i don't think he sees you like that. More just wanting to figure out how to respond to someone talking to him in ways that he was not aware existed in his world. I believe that and well...i hope it's true." he said taking a leaf off a tree. twirling it in his fingers as he spoke. "So does everyone else, everyone seeks praise and validation in their own way. Just because you do doesn't mean you don't deserve it you get? And well. I guess that's new, maybe you can both..find something in common. He can get you to show your true feelings and perhaps, you can help him with his feelings. Do you see where i am heading with this? you both have things in common. And the problems you have, you can help each other with."

"well no. not preferably. What i mean i guess is i wish he took his anger out a bit more..justifiably." He scoffed at sukura's remark. "excuse you, inazuma can be the same. I find that offensive that you think inazumans act like this." he said annoyed as he folded his arms. "well.." he sighed. Rubbing his face. "i don't know." He looked over at trivet and put his hand on his shoulder. "hey buddy, calm down will ya? i don't want you ripping huan apart." He said, after trivet calmed down, he gave a sigh of relief. "both clashing at each other, hopefully they can get along soon enough...shame to see them fight like cats and dogs." He sighed.

Huan held his hand tightly to his chest, on attack mode as he watched trivet with laser focus. "Your shaking. I am not afraid of you but i am wary of what is going to come out of your mouth." he said with a glare. "Your reactions are easy to gauge..." he muttered. "peace offering? those are for wars...not like they ever got resolved." he grumbled. "Doesn't anyone at this point." he muttered. He took the eyepatch and put it in his pocket, looking at trivet with a menacing stare. "oh will you lighten up? I'm not going to behead you." He said crossing his arms.

"GET OFF ME." huan said pushing trivet off him. "Your bleeding yourself, go get help or whatever. I can heal myself perfectly fine with out you." He hissed, blood dripping out of his mouth and clothes. "I don't know smarty pants. why not test the theory will you?" he snapped at sukura. He was shaking as his skin grew pale. Iku stood next to trivet trying to get huan closer to them so they could wrap his wounds up. "AS IF I WILL!" he hissed, the pain searing through his body. "You're shaking, oh jeez lu-weez." he muttered. "I am fine. I am not stepping one foot in any inn thank you very much." he snarled, his goal of getting out of there as quickly as possible, no matter what was in action. He backed away from the trio, ready to run, "Nice seeing you again but i need to go." he said jumping off the roof and hitting the pavement running through the groups of people, leaving a trail of blood from his wounds.

Iku sighed and raced after him, "he must be too weak to use his magic to disappear or heal himself.. I don't know about you guys but he needs our help, i'm going after him!" He called out to the two as he raced, slowly trying to shorten the space between him and huan who was desperate to get out of there.

“I do trust you I Kaitlyn don’t think he likes me, he made that very clear and plain for all too see.” He said looking out at the harbour
“Right? Thanks, I don’t know maybe you guys should meet him and ill hang back probably have a better time getting him to open up?” He sighed.
Trivet slumped over the bridge railings more “geez thanks. I’m otherworldly rude and horrible, it’s fine guess I’ll just accept this, get a peace offering and be done with it.” He shrugged looking back at Iku, deflated not much his peppy self but still cracked a half hearted smile to Iku.

“I don’t want his validation I think it’s gone passed that I want to help him but gosh he won’t want me too. I don’t think it’s a good idea but I can say my peace, find him the eye patch if he don’t take it then we’ll… Ce’st La Vie!” He said waving his arms around.

“I’ll try my best but I can’t remain as optimistic as you are but I’ll try okay?” He said smiling. “I’m sure I’m the last one he will want to help or let he’ll him. But your optimising thrills me so I’ll try just for you.”.

“I mean I agree for sure he seems to be doing it for… we’ll no reason I’m our eyes but he must be hurt in some way otherwise why would he lash out? “She asked.
“I don’t think they act like this I just oh my mistake wrong wording I just feel you guys may deal with things…. Different than what I’m used to as a knight, that’s all.”‘she sighed.

Trivet looked over and looked down “I don’t wanna? You think I would?” He looked at Iku his eyes watered just a little he was disappointed he knew it just couldn’t say if he looked away to shy the tears away hoping Iku couldn’t see and looked down “im sorry I don’t want to hurt you with words or physically it’s not my intention.”

“You think we should stop them?” Sukura asked.

Trivet sighed and closed his eyes “ nothing is going to come out my mouth to hurt you.!!it pains me and ruins Me to think you feel I’m a monster. I’m just a kid…who’s not had the easiest ride… no excuse but I was hurt by words you said also and here I am terrified but risking the fact you could kill me in an instant to help you and got you gift. If my actions don’t speak louder than my words I’m sorry I tried. I don’t want you to be uncomfortable, I wanted to become your friend not enemy.” He sighed shaking still.

“Peace offering is a sign that I will not war with you no more yes meaning in this term also, it’s up to you whether you chose to accept it.”
Trivet was trying his hardest not to react to Huans sarcastic comments back lighten up, doesn’t everyone. He just wanted to scream but instead a single tear rolled down his eye as he sighed. “Look I’d really love to make amends with you but I understands if you see me as some sort of monster. I just want the chance to prove to you I’m not.”

Trivet slipped back as Huan slightly pushed him off him he lost his footing also and sighed they were the same
“I don’t care about me I can be sorted and besides I can’t have you getting hurt in more ways than none from anything to do with me.” He said refusing to not, not help him.

“Hey we’re only trying to help.” She replied back offering her assistance also.
“But the inn has a bed and you can rest up that wound is nasty. “ she looked at him as Huan backed away.

Sukura nodded “go ahead we will catch up your the fastest out of the rest of us. I’ll Keep trivet at a distance until you’ve spoke to him I don’t think it’s best they are in contact right now.” She muttered.

Trivet looked over and sighed “well he officially hates me, there’s no way we can get along what else can I do, he’s comments show hostility and he clearly thinks I’m a monster…” he said looking up at Sukura.

“Nope he’s just fighting his own demons and hasn’t been faced with someone who’s just like him we will try again and I assure you this time will work…. I promise.” She said brushing the hair out of his eyes as he winced in pain.
She picked him up bridal style holding him “rest I’ll keep an eye out for iku just close your eyes and trust me.” She smiled. He nodded and returned it as she ran of to find Iku and Huan.

She found the location and saw Iku in the distance she waved him down to let him know she was there with trivet and stayed at a distance till Iku called them over, meanwhile she attended to Trivets wounds while he slept, the boy slept heavy he didn’t wake up by anything he needed the rest. She smiled cleaning the wounds but looked over and couldn’t he’ll be wonder “I hope Huan is okay.”

"No. I think you're the one that needs to crack open his nut. I know of it." He said with confidence. "not me, and not sukura. You. Your like..the chosen one! you're going to be the one to help huan out of his shell of darkness." He said looking a trivet. "Nah. Nope. Nadda. I won't allow this. You have a spark! a connection! i believe you guys can be friends!" he said looking at trivet with stars in his eyes. "And if your the one who cracks open his shell, boom! you helped him." iku said trying to hype trivet up. "give yourself a chance. I'm sure it will be a nice gesture."

Huan said nothing, narrowing his eyes at trivet. "They all say that but look at where they ended up, dead in a ditch. How entertaining.." he muttered. "You're not a monster, you just get on my nerves." he said flicking trivets forehead as he looked at trivet in the eyes. "I have seen monsters, and i know you have as well. And i know, you should know you're far from one. So act like it." he said stepping back not looking at trivet. "Well sorry, guess my words are too much for someone like you." he muttered. "well i could, and i can. but i'm being nice, and i'm not." he said with a sigh. "well good luck. takes more than an offering to get me on your friends list..but...it's a start. thanks." He said giving a small nod. "I accept it but who knows. Maybe this will be the reason we fight to the death." Huan rolled his eyes and walked up to trivet wiping the tear away. "You aren't a monster. I seen mine, i have mine. You've seen yours. You have yours. And i know pretty darn well a monster doesn't or act like you." he scoffed. "Well no crap sherlock! I get hurt, it's whatever. I'm still alive by the end of it..mostly." he said coughing.

"Well you're doing an awful job at it. Keep up the good work." he grumbled. "Inn is a trap and i will not repeat it twice. I will not be staying in a place that i do not trust, nor do i want to set foot in. I will pass, thank you very much." He said trying to wipe the blood coming from his mouth.

As sukura walked over to iku, there was a loud scream that managed to wake trivet up. Iku was tugging at huan as huan was being dragged into a portal by hands, the hands wrapping around huan's body as he screamed, trying to get away without avail. "DON'T LET GO!" Iku yelled as he tried to hold onto huan. "HELP!" Huan yelled out. trying to desperately find something to hold onto, fear filled his usually straight or snarky face. He didn't want to go back down there. He didn't want to go back down there at all. It was dark..cold..too cold...cold enough to freeze to death..that's the problem. when you have powers that came from the abyss, when you go back down, the spiral out of control. Iku tried to hold on but was losing grip. He looked up and saw trivet running to him. "wait!" he screamed as he let go of iku, "GET TO CLOSE AND YOUR GOING DOWN WITH ME!" he screamed as trivet ran into him, getting sucked in by the portal. Huan disappeared in the portal that seemed like a crack in the earth with trivet following close behind.

They fell. It seemed like neverending. Huan was freaking out, "oh my god oh my god." he repeated to himself, as they plummeted the air grew colder. "TRIVEt? TRIVET!" Huan yelled into the darkness. Hoping to get a response back. "WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!" He screamed, still carrying his snarky demeanor even though they were falling into the abyss. But i think you would swear either way, falling down to your high chance of death you would swear, even more so if there was someone else with you, no matter what. I wouldn't know, i have never fallen into the abyss but i'm pretty sure i would. Or maybe you wouldn't. I wouldn't know that either. Some people can remain composed when falling to their doom. Props to them.

“Why would I be any good at that though? I can barely take care of myself what makes you so sure I can help Huan out?” He turned to Iku and tilted his head.
“Uhhhh-huhhh!”
Trivet said rolling his eyes in disbelief.
“You dream far too big sometimes, Furness is a strong word… perhaps casual people who know each other.” He shrugged “perhaps let’s just take baby steps shall we?” He said jumping up to pat Iku’s shoulder.

“I know your disappointment in me is high so you don’t have to hide it.” He said looking at iku.

“So now I’m gonna end up in a ditch… thanks..” he muttered under his breath.
“Hey takes one to know one?” He stated folding his arms as he got offended by the statement.

“wow the way you act around me doesn’t make it feel like it at all does it. Fine if not a monster at least a horrible human being I’ll leave that for you to decide.” He sighed waving Huan off from flicking his forehead.

“A little, you forget I’m still just a kid one who has been abused with words practically by everyone except one. Like bards arnt seen as friends were sky, deceitful, sarcastic, rude, horrible. Egoistic and damn right annoying as heck! So it’s no surprise words of your hurt. My over sensitivity kicking in.” He looked at Huan in the eyes before sighing and looking down.

“Wait what? The great Huan has said I’ve made a start to getting on his friendship list?…” he was going to say more before looking at iku seeing his face beam he didn’t react just looked back at Huan “well I hope it helps.” He shrugged. Trivet flinched as Huan wiped the tear away unsure of how to take what was happening he looked over panicked frozen where he sat “but your reaction to me, indicates to me I am a monster.” He looked down trying to hide his face.

Sukura rolled her eyes standing next to iku “his people skills really need a hand, we need to help him with that…”
“Fine, fine let us a lowest take you somewhere safe where you can relax and recover?” She asked conceded for his well-being as he was trying to get away.

Sukura placed trivet down as gently as she could to rest before they were both abruptly alerted by the shriek that came from Huan, they both looked at each other and headed over trivet running ahead going in first for Huan to help him.
He ran in and as he slid he ended up falling down Into the out of the abyss with Huan as it closed up and they kept falling down in what seems liked a never ending hole.

Sukura looked over at iku “what do we do how do we get them back?”she saw his worried look, seems like the first time he’d been separated and not able to protect trivet. “Hey you doing okay?” She asked before they were greeted by abyss mages. She pulled her sword “iku…. You need to be strong and gotta fight these so we can get them back.” She commanded.

As Trivet and Huan fell down deeper into the hole Huan yelled out for trivet who didn’t respond a slight sound of something hitting something could be heard as they hit the bottom a shed of light entering as a tunnel ahead loomed from a nearby seeliy (if that’s how it’s spelt).

Trivet could be seen laid on the floor a bit further away from Huan, not much movement could be seen from the distance.

A single abyss mage started to head towards trivet while another watched Huan the whole time appearing and reappearing closer each time. They were in trouble, big trouble.

One started to head towards Huan senescing he wasn’t ready yet to fight but as it got close and was about to throw a ice ball at him. It was shot with an arrow. Trivet shot the arrow several times trying to get up as he did so the electric power starting to charge as he stood to his feet shaking and aims weren’t on point but he made it work till the final flow of that abyss mage. The other appeared maybe to find others but they were alone for now.

He stumbled to Huan “you, you okay?” He said before falling unsteady on his feet.
Trying to stop himself falling into Huan.
He got to the ground and sighed. “Didn’t think I was gonna let you go just like that did you?” He said slightly smiling through his winced pain.

"well. I'm not sure but i'm getting the feels you both have a connection. You get? it's more than something that you're not good at. You can take care of yourself, i know it." he said putting his hands on trivet's shoulders looking at him. "uh...oni instinct? Well screw it, trust me on this! you trusted me before, can you trust me on this! he needs your help. You guys have a connection even though you may not see it. I just know it. Alright?"
"Oh come on..." he said hanging his head. "It's not that far fetched right? well please trivie, have faith in me for this!" He begged. "alright..but you gotta try!" he said holding trivet's hand, eyes replaced with stars. "Oh come on trivie! when was i ever disappointed in you?! NEVER! SO YOU BET I AIN'T DISAPPOINTED IN YOU NOW!" He said hugging trivet tightly. "i. will. never. ever. in. my. whole. life. be. disappointed. in. you! you know that alright?" He said looking trivet in the eyes.

"hey doesn't everyone? I'm not the only one in this world with a friendship list no?" he scoffed. Leaning forward, holding a scroll. "joking but still." He muttered crumpling it up. "I may be rude and mean, but i ain't cruel. There is a difference." he said shushing trivet before he could say anything. "Hell no. Just because i react doesn't mean i think you're a monster you dolt. You're just some bard that gave me a gift who is from inazuma. I don't see monster anywhere in that description do I?" he said crossing his arms. "Oh stop that will ya? you look pathetic." he said prying his arms away from his face. Looking at him dead in the eye. "The day i see you as a monster is the day i kiss a god damn rock. Did you know i will never in my entire life, kiss a stupid rock? well there you have it. So therefore, i will never see you as a monster. Kapeesh? Or if you want something more meaningful, i will never admit defeat. so there. The day i think you're a monster is when i will admit defeat for the first time. And if you know me, that will be one impossible nut to crack. Boom. There you have it." he said backing away from trivet. "good enough for you?" he scoffed. "Oh i heard that!" he yelled to sukura. "My people skills are just fine, if you disagree then come fight me!" he yelled. "Hell nah. I ain't going anywhere! if i die so be it!" he scoffed.

Iku watched them go down in stunned silence. His face white as paper, not moving as he watched the portal close as quick as it opened. He stood there, not knowing what to do. Where were they? are they ok? What happened? was that the abyss? were they trying to take huan back..? Questions he didn't have answers for. He looked to sukura and then back down. "I..don't know." he whispered. He took his claymore out and one shot the abyss. His face, dark. "i will get both of them back from abyss. Mark my words." he said. "let's go. I have an idea." he said turning to leave with sukura following close behind.

Huan cursed into the air as he tried to fumble for something to gather light but curse the archons, he was cryo. Not pyro. He knew the abyss well, it seemed endless, could be but there was an end. But what would be worse, time went slower in the abyss than it would be in the normal world up above. One day could be one year at this point. They had to get out quick in order to not screw up their lives as much. He hit the bottom with a smack, getting his back. Sending shockwaves of pain through his body. He felt like he was on fire, the pain clouding his eyes as now he just wanted to die. He felt around, trying to gauge his surroundings. He noticed the seelie and gave a sigh of relief. "thank the archons your here." he grabbed it and shoved it into a random lantern he found sitting next to a seelie court much to the seelie's protest. He used it as a makeshift lantern and ran over to huan. "You ok?" he asked not noticing the abyss mages. "Oh god damn it when can i catch a break." he hissed. Not doing anything as a cry abyss mage was immune to cryo, which he was. Plus he can't do anything physical as he was a catalyst. "No. And i doubt you aren't either. We need to go. Like now. Do you know how time works in the abyss?" he asked. His words slurring together as he was in a hurry and quite tense. He held trivet and tried his best to heal him. "and of course you are the healer" he muttered. The blood from his back wound was dried up but had scratches and started to bleed again. His face was strained as he tried not to focus on the pain. "get up." he snapped at trivet. "Well it would of been better if you did your own thing and forget about me so you wouldn't have to deal with my lame ass and i didn't have to carry a baby on my already wounded back. Now let's go!" He said grabbing trivet and hauling him to his feet. He held the seelie in one hand while holding trivet's arm in the other. Holding it tightly as well. They made their way through the tunnel, huan on high alert as he flinched and turned sharply at any sound he heard. Even ones trivet didn't notice.

“Well I’m sure it’s nice but honestly I don’t see it.” Trivet looked at Iku “honestly sometimes I think you out too much faith in me, when I was talking last night I tripped, got myself into a mess of you weren’t around to defuse it what do you honestly think would have happened between me and Huan? Seriously though? One of us would cease to exist and I know you know that. So as much as I appreciate your faith in me being capable I’m really not.” He sighed

Looking up into Iku’s eyes he could see the want in his eyes the belief in his own words radiating out. “Fine, I trust you wholeheartedly, you know that, I mean heck my life is in your hands 24/7 practically.”
“Perhaps it’s not, okay, okay would you quit with the begging I’ll give it a chance.”
He said as Iku grabbed his hand “I will try alright. Gosh I hate your puppy Oni eyes” he said falling for Iku’s persuasion.
“Okay, okay!!” Trivet laughed as he was hugged tightly “I still need to breathe Iku,okay sorry for the mopeyness, I know you aren’t but one of my biggest fears is loosing you and having you disappointed in me, knowing you practically raised me I don’t want you to feel ashamed or embarrassed or just down right disappointed in me when that’s not how you… you know raised me and such.”

“I don’t tend to make a list you either make the cut or you don’t, kinda simplistic here.”he watched Huan open the scroll and crumple it as he said he was joking.

“But….I….”’trivet tried to speak up but was shushed by Huan. Trivet took a few deep breaths you froze my feet in ice, jabbed me with a ice thing whatever you did? Look!” He said lifting his shirt to show the bruise “still marked here.”
“Well, I….hmmm, I… guess not?” He said unsure of his words looking back to iku for some guidance he didn’t know how to respond and for the first time ever he was a bard who was speechless.

“Kiss a rock? Why would you?….never mind I get your point but regardless of your kissing rocks analogy you said you’d never trust me, you practically moved away and fell of the side of a building backing the hell away from me..” he said looking Huan in the eyes. “Well erm, I guess so?” He said watching Huan step back.
Then identically timed him and Huan look over
At Sukura who started to blush from embarrassment. “Sorry I just think you both need to exercise it more like you both acted like bulls in a shop. It was really tense and had us fearing one was going to kill the other.” She exclaimed looking to Iku hoping he would agree. “I’m not going to fight you Huan…that’s lot how this works maybe that’s what your new little brother is there for.” She said folding her arms looking out the other way.

Sukura saw the look on Iku’s face and she was just as concerned and didn’t have the answers either she turned to the abyss swarm that was appearing right in front of their eyes. She took her sword out and planted it into the ground infront of her creating a Geo shield around herself and Iku while he one shot a could’ve of Abyss mages.
“Sure thing you lead the way I’ll follow!!” She yelled behind him.

As they landed down the whole trivet noticed the little light coming from the seelie in the lantern. He groaned as he moved trying to sit up see Huan he nodded “yeah I’ll be fine…” he looked behind swinging the bow around looking as if it was pointed at Huan but as he shot the arrow went passed his shoulder to a looming abyss mage that was about to go for Huan.

“I was thinking the same thing and no, I don’t really fancy staying around long enough to find out either.” He said realising how badly injured they both were this wasn’t going to be a fast journey not by a long shot.
He looked and noticed Huan trying to heal best he could it was not much but was something at least. He pulled huan’s hand away and held it “save some for yourself, let’s get going then shall we?” He said taking huan’s help to get up.
“I mean frankly I think I got the worse end of the deal…” he said slightly smiling at Huan, in a state of worry, pain or panic trivet found comfort in his powers of being a bard. “Who are you calling a baby anyways? I mean I’m not going to say your a lame ass i was just going to say your a little too hard on yourself your not as bad as you say you are?” He shrugged as he was propped up and his arm was grabbed and held tightly. He looked up at Huan, he was protecting him? Helping him? Was Iku right? Of course he was he always knew what was right it was why he looked up to him so much. Then the worry sat in as the wandered down the what seemed endless tunnels “I bet Iku’s worried sick. This is actually the first day and time we’ve been apart from each other for this long anyways.” He said in some way feeling comfortable talking to Huan as they were trying to find the way out.
“Hey what is it? Your flinching like crazy?” He said looking up at Huan “im attached to you right now so I can feel everything.” He said concerns building as they kept going. “Errr, do you know where we’re going?” He asked as the cold was starting to build up around trivet Huan could feel the cold was seeping into trivets arm the longer they were down here the more injured they were the quicker the cold set in.
“We need to stop and find a place where you can help yourself.” Trivet instructed.
As they continued walking down the tunnels.

"hey, it's just a bruise. Could be worse, could have sliced you like swiss cheese if i didn't control my temper." He scoffed. "I say you got off easy." He rolled his eyes when he saw trivet look at iku for guidance. "Oh come on, for a bard you sure don't know how to talk in certain scenarios." he muttered, folding his arms. Iku just gave a shrug and a approving nod. As if saying this was going in the right direction. Hey, they weren't yelling at each right?
"See? why would i?" He said taking a rock that was on the roof and flinging it, scaring a few adults who were busy gambling at a nearby stall. "Just because i won't trust you doesn't mean you're a monster. Stop overthinking for once will you?" He sighed. "Oh well forget about that for once, you just scared me because you had the audacity to come act as if everything was ok. Joking but really?" he scoffed. "Oh right right. As if i can do that?!" he complained. "Don't look at me just because SOMEONE decided to ignite the fire! you try talking to someone for once? WITHOUT stumbling over your words because you don't talk to people and all you do is work in your office!" he said, outing her. "Well I could have! Call that improvement will you?" he hissed. "NEW LITTLE BROTHER?" He said outraged, lunging at her but was blocked by iku. He stared death daggers at sukura. "one wrong move and i will rip you to pieces. turning your insides into outsides." he threatened. He turned away and scoffed. "you don't know your place. trivet is not my little brother thank you very much." He muttered. Iku sighed in relief as he looked at sukura with a "look what you did." look. "Have you calmed down huan?" Iku asked. He was only given an annoyed scoff. "alright.."

Iku made his way through liyue, speeding past everyone while making sure sukura was following close behind. "there is a rift in the chasm we can enter through, i assume you know what the chasm is?" he asked as they ran through some of the tallest mountains in all of teyvat. When sukura expressed she didn't know he stopped suddenly. "well, here it is." he said overlooking the chasm, there was a giant hole in the middle, making a tornado shaped effect over the area. "there should be a rift down there. Let's head down." he said with no second thought, quickly making his way down. "we have to save them before it's too late!" he yelled back at her. "Are you good?" he asked taking her hand and helped her down the rocky slopes. Neither were used to the rocky terrain as their homeland had none if not very little. "We are close!" he said as after half an hour, made their way down so be it completely exhausted yet iku still had some pep in his step. "if you can't go further, i'll carry you." he said. His face was filled with fear, desperation and hints of hope. "come on, we can't stop now." he said picking her up and rushed through, avoiding the monsters that lingered down. Going deeper into the bottom of the chasm.

"No. It's not going to matter. One of us is going to die here. And i am going to make sure it's me." he said wiping the blood dribbling down from his neck and mouth. "and i don't care what the hell you say. I am going. it was supposed to be me in the first place." he said. Soothing trivet's aches and pains, the cool ice touching trivet's skin sent tingles up his body. "I don't care. It was supposed to me. I was supposed to die. i would be able to get away from this world by being dead! not like i'm useful in messing myself and other people's lives up and that's it." He said, his voice and hands were shaky. Eyes wide. "I can tell." he said but it didn't seem he was paying attention to anything trivet was saying. "Nothing. NOTHING." he whispered, covering trivet's mouth quickly. Voices could be heard but to soft for trivet to make out what they were saying. "I don't care. I just want you gone so i can get my happily ever after being dead as a rock!" he whispered dragging trivet away from that tunnel, after they were back were they started, he used a huge ice pillar to make another hole. "let's go." he commanded. "they are coming..."

"YES I DO!" he snapped. "I have been here once, it scared me enough to remember everything that happened. Now quite yapping." he hissed. "No. If we are stopping, it mean's you are in pain." he said still walking, holding onto trivet's arm tightly. "your getting cold. Let go of me. My powers are out of control in this area." he said dropping his grip on trivet's arm. Walking ahead of him were trivet had a wonderful view of the huge wound in huan's back. "don't you dare utter a single god damn word about my back. We don't have time to stop."

“I mean yeah that was what I was afraid of?”
“easy, perhaps?” He said looking back to Iku when Huan spoke. “
Trivet sighed looking at Huan “perhaps I don’t, after earlier anyways. Nothing wrong with seeking guidance as I dont know I’m still a freaking kid!!” He stated. He smiled back a Iku and sighed a relief sigh and looked back at Huan.

“I don’t know maybe some people like rocks….that much? Can’t be judged can we?” He said confused to hear them words come from his mouth but they did. He watched as the rock flew down startling the few adult gamblers. “Do you trust a monster?”Sukura asked. For the one time it wasn’t trivet setting him off he thought he’d remain silent for this part.

“You mean the first person to not cower down to you? Your image holds more power than you realise guess it was an interesting first encounter for the both of us.”
“Hey now that’s not On, I’m just stating something that I’m observing here, hey I am not in a office all day take that back!” She argued.

Sukura stood back as Huan lunged towards her and iku stepping infront she watched him
The whole time her gaze not breaking.
“It’s just a phrase what’s up with that in the knights we deem ourselves as brothers it’s a nice thing.” She shrugged still standing behind iku.
“Well he’s not anyones little brother but we can still see him as one can’t we? She asked.
Trivet watched in horror hearing the words from Huan and looking down. It wasn’t the first time he’d heard them words his twin that he got separated from ‘Corbin’ he said those exact words making it cut deeper than it was intended.
Sukura looked back at iku “what I thought it was a nice gesture?” She said.

Sukura followed close behind as much as she could “the Chasm? Errrm unfortunately not?” She said keeping up until they came to a sudden holt.
She over looked the giant hole in awe, it was unlike anything she had ever seen before. “A rift, is that safe?” She asked as they headed down gently does it but with some speed.

“I know, I know the abyss is no place to get lost in.” She said as she reached for Iku’s hand. “I’ve been better not used to all these rocks here” she said almost slipping.

Sukura was tired she could take another step without something aching or hurting but seeing Iku have a pep in his step wanting to keep going filled her heart she couldn’t stop now.
“I can keep going.” She said filled with determination. “Just give me five..” she said sitting on the side until iku picked her up “heyyy? What are you doing ?” She cried out as they headed deeper into the Chasm.

“How can you be so sure it’ll be you?” Trivet asked looking at Huan “hey stranger things have happened.” He shrugged.
As huan soothed the aches and pains he looked up “doesn’t have to be either of us you know?” He offered “like your only escape perhaps but it doesn’t have to be, I guess that’s just the easy way out right? Isn’t that admitting defeat through?” He said as he turned to look at Huan.
“Well your always welcome and wanted with us and I don’t want you to sacrifice yourself.” He said wincing from the pain slightly causing him to flinch.
“Besides your moser useful than you think see what your doing now is useful more useful than it actually. He said smiling at huan slightly.

“Well it’s gotta be something? Your jumpy all over the place.” He said frantically before a hand was placed over his mouth in order to get him to shut up.
“How is that happy ever after there has to be another way right?” He asked pleading almost for an answer.
He kept up by being pulled along his stamina weak, his strength weak and his footings were all over the place he was becoming slightly dizzy.
“Wait you’ve been through this all before?” He said quickly before once again being silenced by Huan.

“But Huan I don’t care about me I can deal with it when I get back I want you okay!” He carried out being dragged along at this point as trivet tried to keep up but his footing was slowing.
“Why are they out of control here? How does this abyss mages quarters affect you?” He asked dropping his arm from Huans. Slowly keeping up but now looking at the giant would on huans back staring at it before being startled by Huan’s comment “ I can work while walking…” trivet mumbled not so loud he thought Huan could heard even though he could. Trivet walked up with a couple of bandages and a small handkerchief and started to clear the wound on his back while they were walking waiting at any second for Huan to explode for his choice of actions.
“The sooner WERE out of here the better!” he said as he took one look at Huan and linked his arm through his”there is not muchtime, let’s go?”

He stopped. Eyes wide before sighing. "I did. Stupid mistake wasn't it." He held up a sigil of the abyss. "got me intertwined in this stupid organization. Well not much of an organization as like the fatui but revengeful humans from the fallen kingdom. Not like they are humans anymore." he scoffed. "just a so-called distant memory, the day celestia ruined it all." he crushed the sigil and watched it fall down to his feet. "It's not like i'll trust any of you! i'll die by then!" he hissed. "You piss me off sukura. Know that, i made a mistake once. and i won't make it again. And i certainly won't be trusting that bard or any of you anytime soon!" He yelled. "Oh jeez-lu-weez. It would have been better if I had never met you! Then maybe i wouldn't be here talking to someone like you! I have power but how i use it differs depending on what i need or want." He scowled. "OH HELL NO I WON'T. FACE IT, IT'S TRUE!" he yelled back, ready to fight.

"well good for you but wake up! it ain't mondstat the land of the free here knight!" He yelled. "It's the real world, get out of your protective shell and be a knight for once!" he said. Iku was not looking pleased with both of them and sighed. "will you two quiet down? i am not directing this to any one of you in particular but i would like this to not go down in a fighting rage." he said camly. Huan said nothing and scoffed. "It was sukura but i think it's better we don't talk about this specific topic as to not fuel anymore fights." He looked over to trivet and went over to hug him. huan backed away from the two, muttering curses under his breath.

"Doubt it, but what's the harm now? we have nothing to lose." he said helping sukura down. "we have to go for both of them alright? we can't leave them hanging. they need us! the abyss is not a pretty sight." after a while they got to the bottom. "look out!" he said moving her away from a falling rock. "this area is quite unstable. don't want you getting squished like a bug, be aware of your surroundings alright?" He said motioning to the rocks casting over them. "We can't afford to lose time!" he said as he raced down the narrowing pathway leading to an open cavern with sukura in his arms. "you need your energy for later, save it." he said as he finally stopped, a huge rift right in front of them. "and there it is, our ticket to the abyss. you ready?" he asked doing some quick stretches. "Alright let's blow this popsicle stand!" he said grabbing sukura's hand and jumping in. The rift closed as soon as they both entered. They both fell for a while, iku was holding sukura's hand tightly. trying to get a gauge of his surroundings. "I CAN'T LIGHT PYRO! IT KEEPS GOING OUT, LET'S UP FOR A NOT ROUGH LANDING!"

"because i'll make sure it's me." he scoffed. "so? do you want that annoying girl or your brother to die? didn't think so. let's get moving." he said pushing trivet up. "I just want out of here, forever. I don't want to live with the looming guilt of it could have been me. I should have died. Good enough answer for you?!" he snapped. "Well. you look at it like that but..." he sighed. "just shut up, i have better things to do than telling you my life story." he muttered. "cool, i don't care. Thanks but no thanks. i would rather puke my guts then join your entourage." He scoffed. "well your opinion means god damn nothing in my life." he rolled his eyes. "Well heck, i could be leading us to my death and you wouldn't even know. useful for me i'll say that!" he said not looking at trivet. "Oh just shut up. I don't have to say anything!" he whispered covering trivet's mouth. "It's my happily ever after and i'll make sure of that!" he seethed. "Of course i have! how would i know where to go! this isn't my first merry go round in the abyss. Heck i shoulda be an older age but i'm still stuck in a time loop. The first time was when i was 10. I got out when i was chronologically 15 but still in my physical age 10 body. Time moves a hella lot slower than up there. I'm older than what i look like or say i am. But well. i can't help it. I'm in a rush because i want you out before you get your whole life screwed up like mine was." he said through gritted teeth. "you dizzy? drink up." he said taking ice and warming it up using some fire in a statue, melting it into water. He made trivet drink it and then kept on moving through the corridors. "Who says i'll be going back with you. Just forget about me. I don't give a damn about myself anymore." He said stopping trivet from getting any closer. "Because i'm from the abyss dimwit! My powers are stronger here but since my life was screwed over by the archons and stuff, it made the powers go bajonkers. I'm the one making our area colder. if you can't keep up, you need to go alone because i'll just freeze you like a statue!" he hissed. "OH GET THE HELL OFF ME!" he screamed as soon as he felt the touch of the fabric, jumping away from trivet. "If you touch me again, i'll freeze your hands off! let's get going." he snapped. "hell no. The sooner your out here the better because i don't want to see teyvat and it's stupid archons ever again!" he said shaking his arm out of trivet's grasp.

“Wait so are you part of a organisation to take down the Abyss or part of the Abyss organisation?” Trivet asked inquisitively as he tried to clarify what he just heard.
“Woah, Woah, hold those horses, they aren’t human no more either?” He sat with his legs crossed eyes focused on Huan as he spoke like a child being allowed story time.

Sukura scoffed “well after your over the top remark to simple gesture I too feel the same way.” She folded her arms looking away, gazing upon a nearby bird that flew past.
“I don’t care if you trust me, I don’t trust you but do you have no respect for woman?” She scoffed. Trivet looked at Iku for once he wasn’t the one in the brawl and he knew to keep his mouth closed.

“It’s okay trust takes time to build, perhaps if you ever decided to go further with us that trust would come over time…so to speak.” Trivet piped up twiddling his fingers nervously awaiting an attack for that remark.

Sukura readied her sword as Huan was ready to fight. Was this worse that what trivet did he wondered exactly that as he watched this brawl look like it was about to start, had he started this bad taste? Did he influence his bad tendencies. He shook it off and looked at iku, worried.

“OH DONT YOU DARE USE OUR NAME IN A LOW WAY LIKE THAT I SWORE TO PROTECT THE PLACE AND NAME AT ANY COST AND YOU SIR HAVE DRAWN A FINE LINE.” She said seeing red as she looked at Huan.
When iku spoke she lowered her sword and sighed “right, I’m sorry, apologies Iku.” She looked over at Huan and watched him scoff like a child being placed in the naught corner.

She looked at iku and nodded “thank you, sure thing, whatever you say boss!” She smiled placing her hand on his shoulder “I’m gonna sit here and take 5” she said heading to the corner looking out.

Trivet held onto iku tightly l, closing his eyes he placed his head on Iku’s shoulder as the haunting memories came back. He had a sibling yes, well sort of it wasn’t what everyone thought. But still the words cut through him like butter.
He peeled a glance at Huan and sighed whispering to Iku “how am I suppose to help him?” He asked as desperation seeped in his voice.

“This is true, yes I know I’m coming as fast as I can” she said climbing down almost slipping from time to time. “Actually I’m Kim sure if it’s the Abyss I worry about more or them killing each other. Them two are not on equal ground yet.” She scoffed thinking back on what Huan said to her earlier.

Sukura was quickly moved by Iku as a falling rock came tumbling down, her heart was racing her breathing deepens “thanks, thanks for that!” She gasped trying to catch her breath back.
She nodded “I don’t want to be squished like a bug but after this I do think I’d want to go home. I miss my safe office.” She said looking around the chasm warily.

Sukura was tired and unable to run herself much further so was picked up by iku and carried the rest of the way. She wrapped her arms around him as he ran to towards the rift. He really was a hero she thought kind caring sweet soul. She smiled.
“Thank you I appreciate that.” She smiled as he stopped as they arrived at the rift.

“Is it safe to travel in?” She asked wanting to touch it but didn’t. “I guess, let’s go!”
She said watching iku stretch admiring him from afar.
As Iku grabbed her hand they went into the rift and we’re falling in what seemed like the same never ending hole Huan and Trivet fell down.
“WAIT YOU CANT WHAT NOW?” She yelled concerned on what iku said “LETS HOPE ITS FINE!” She yelled back her hand squeezing Iku’s a little lore after what he said her anxiety thrived right now as they fell deeper into the abyss.

“Why? Why do you want to go so badly?” He asked “I don’t but I don’t want you to go either!” He demanded.
Trivet shook his head “not really, just sounds like a self inflicted guilt trip. It obviously didn’t happen to you for whatever reason and it did if people risked themselves for you to survive then it’s a poor way to repay them.” He said shrugging.
“Really? Like what?” Trivet challenged when he said he had Better things to do “you’ve been silently crying for help since we met, your telling “some bard kid” your troubles and you take everything out on anyone especially me because you don’t know how to deal with questions and opinions you don’t know the answer too?” He said sighing “but that’s okay things happen and it changes people and that’s fine too.” He said trying to comfort from a distance to not be hit.
“Your right you could be but one problem you wouldn’t want me to be left on my own… I can see it in your eyes.” He shrugged.
Trivet laughed “well then don’t no one is forcing you too? Your doing it if your own free will”
“I mean that’s harsh, we’re not that bad, sure we’re an odd bunch but no need to disrespect us like that, you know regardless of what you say or do we still come back to you so if you don’t get it by now let me paint it very clear whether you like it or not we care about you and want you to be okay. So let that sink in for just a moment okay?” Trivet rolled his eyes as they kept walking.

“I mean makes sense for your attitude” trivet shrugged “I mean ya kinda acting like a salty old man right now that missed his nap time.”

Trivet stopped for a moment “oh so you do care about me, there’s me thinking you’d happily let me be killed by the abyss,’so if that’s the case I need a rock…” he said laughing. Trying to make a lighthearted joke on the situation. Hey he was a bard it’s what he does.
He was hella scared and petrified without iku around and he found comfort in doing what he does best.

He stopped for a moment which let the dizziness take hold he fell back onto a block of ice and looked up at the newly fresh water that Huan made “thanks, I haven’t eaten or drank anything all day.” He said not proud a “don’t tell iku” moment.
He stood back up and they continued walking.

“Well I guess me… no one else is around unless an abyss mage did?” He said drawing closer to Huan.

“Bajonkers?” Trivet questioned with a shuddered voice from the cold.
“I,I can k-k-keep up!” He said shuddering and slowly parts of his skin turning blue as chillbanes started to influx him. He tried to reach for Huan to get some warmth and keep up but was yelled at to stay away. “He sighed reluctantly nodding his head as he walked with Huan and with more in depth they went the cold became stronger stiffening trivets movements.
“T—that's-s-s,F-f-fAir” he forced the words out of his mouth until he stopped in his tracks
“H-H-uan-n-n” he attempted to say as he struggled still to move and ahead was an Abyss mage blocking the only way towards them getting out of here.

"oh hell do i know at this point!" he complained. "I could be one or the other, but you would never know because who am i to tell someone like you?" he rolled his eyes. "Oh hell no. You kill them just about everyday, they are the hilichurls and abyss mages and whatever and all of that stuff. Haven't you read up on the kingdom? almost everyone was turned into hilichurls or other creatures that follow under abyssal rule." He said camly. "Who says i have respect for anyone dimwit? I'm not a sexist baby thank you very much." he scoffed. "don't play that card oh he is mean to me because i'm a woman." he mocked. "here, everyone is on the same step if you like it or not." he snapped at her. Iku stayed silent but was ready to jump in if things got too heated. "Oh shut your mouth will ya! this doesn't involve you so stay out of it!" he hissed before turning his attention back to sukura.

"they are both on equal ground sukura. Do not think little of one just because he pissed you off." Iku said looking at her. "we are all on the same boat in the end, just one has more of a temper than another. You are all the same to me, i have known trivet longer yes but i will protect all of you as if i had known you for the same amount of time as i did with trivet. I care about you all. And i hope you think the same or at least know, we are all on equal footing. No one is more favorable than the other." He said giving a smile and a nod. "we are all people with feelings and emotions, no one deserves to get invalidated. alright?" he said patting sukura on the shoulder. "of course, I don't want you to die." he said giving a nod. "true. sorry about you getting dragged into this. I do want to go visit mondstat, so when we all come out alive after this. why not take us on a trip if your up to? your fun to hang out with and i can't wait to go see mondstat with you and trivet. And maybe even huan!" he said eyes lighting up.

"better be so, why would i be leading you somewhere if it wasn't safe? i would like us all out in one piece!" he exclaimed. "I CAN'T LIGHT PYRO!" He yelled back. Making sure sukura was still holding his hand. "HOPEFULLY SO! I HAVE A FEELING WE ARE REACHING THE END!" He said as he grabbed sukura close, attempting to shield her. They hit the ground with a thump, iku taking most of the damage. He let sukura roll out of his arms as he groaned, trying to gauge his surroundings. "holy toast. Were are we?" he asked trying to stand up. "You ok?" he called out to sukura as he made his way over to her, helping her up. "we are here. And oh my lemons. It's cold." he said lighting a torch up. "we can use this for light and heat. Shall we get going?" he asked, tilting his head.

"Because i'll be better dead. I screwed up my life this much, might as well finish it off with a cherry on top." he muttered. "Well good for you but i ain't letting you stop me." he said poking trivet in the stomach. "Well congrats sherlock holmes. You won a medal." he said sarcasticly. "people risked their lives? hell no. I got out of the nightmare alone, and i am going to make sure that sticks. for your information, no one helped me so i ain't disappointing anyone!" he yelled. "Shut up!" he yelled. "STOP!" he said covering his ears. "just...stop. I'm tired of hearing your voice." he said, not looking at trivet. "whatever." he scoffed. "OH SHUT UP!" he hissed. "your lucky i'm even bothering with your useless ass. now pick your feet up, let's get going!" he said dragging trivet through the hallways. "well that's nice if i ever cared for that." he muttered. "OH WILL YOU STOP?" he screamed before quieting down quickly. "we need to go. now." he said speed walking which turned into running as he dragged trivet down the corridors. "well isn't that a dumb move." he scoffed looking down at trivet. "whatever." he said looking around. "thank the stupid archons for this guy." he said rushing over to a warming seelie, stuffing that into the lantern along with the other one. "take this and warm up." he said shoving the lantern to trivet. He ran to the abyss mage, holding a staff, managing to chip away at the shield till it was down. He killed it with a some shots of ice, "are you ok?" he asked to trivet, seeing the blue tints were gone and he seemed in better shape. "You're warmed up, that's good. Now keep up." he ordered.

Trivet sighed as he looked up at Huan “I guess that’s fair, not going to push something you don’t want to share.”

Sukura nodded “I had heard rumours that This was the case.”‘she looking pondering in thought.
Trivet however tilted his head unsure of the concept “wait so how come not all of them turned and also why did it happen? How did it happen?” He asked as if a whole new world was just opened up to him.

Sukura scoffed “well you sure don’t act like it. Have you looked at yourself?”she said pointing her finger Towards Huan.
“HEY I CAN DAMN WELL USE THAT CARD IF ITS BEING USED ON ME THANK YOU VERY MUCH!” She yelled back.
She rolled her fist together tightening at each word he said he really was pushing her on the edge.
Trivet was silenced, he looked down playing with the sole of his shoe. He was trying but still getting nowhere maybe iku was wrong about this one? He was trying no fighting and yet getting every insult under the sun still thrown at him, but Huan wiped his tears away? “Arghhh” he muttered as quietly as he could as he laid back on the ground staring up at the sky.

Sukura smiled “thanks Iku, means a lot he just knows how to press the right buttons you know?” She sighed “guess it brought the worst out in me.”
She tilted her head “I would half expect you to say him more to be honest your like his guardian, protector and such? Like a mother with a child? But I appreciate the gesture for sure.” She smiled a soft smile.
“Right, I won’t invalidate huan’s feelings he’s troubled and needs help also, I just hope they aren’t killing each other down there. I’d hate to walk into a frozen massacre.” She shuddered.

“Oh don’t worry it’s fine it’s an adventure right? And what’s a family without its ups and downs” She smiled. “Yes Home, I’d love to show you it I think you’d both love it, it’s different to Inazuma, smaller too but we do have some lovely cuisine I think you’d love.” She giggled.
Then proceeded to hug Iku “thank you for being an amazing new friend I made truth be told I don’t have many. They think as I’m a knight not worthy of friendship.” She said looking down as she let go of her embrace.
“I mean I would hope Huan would love to visit and show him it’s not a bad place here in Tyavat.” She closed her eyes wondering.

“We’re heading to the Abyss no where is safe Iku?” She questioned. “Let’s hope we can and that we don’t loose someone along the way.” She nodded.

“SHOOT!” She screamed holding Iku’s hand even tighter.
She closed her eyes as Iku pulled her in close as they reached close impact to the ground, she couldn’t help but think the worst was this it? We’re they finished? Dead? She didn’t know.
As they impacted the ground iku took 99.9% of the damage shielding Sukura from a lot a couple of scratches but nothing major. She rolled out of his arms onto the cold hard ice.

“I don’t know,’is this the Abyss caves?” She said looking around.
“Im okay you took the impact I should be asking if you are okay?” She said starting to check over Iku and the wounds he obtained.
She watched as he lit the torch and nodded standing close to him so they could share the heat “let’s get going I heard the abyss is a place you should t stay long.”

“Why be so negative about your life there is still time to change things, you can never be too late to change your stars, you deserve a chance at life.” Trivet said just staring at huans wound trying to make it not seem too creepy.
“Well why not? I don’t wanna see anything bad happen to ya, so I would try my best to make sure it doesn’t. Like you told me I’m not a monster.”
“Geez thanks I’ll add that to my list of how many medals can I get from Huan” he said proudly.

“Okay well then if you did it all your own why wouldn’t you wanna show them who’s boss like a look at me stick your stupid crap you put me through I came out on top so screw your guys!”
He said kind of gesturing as the cold seeped through hoping movement would warm him just a little.

“I’m lucky? You chose to help me, I’m choosing to help you it’s one of those things if you don’t wanna help me then adios!” He said rolling his eyes but shuddering more and more but trying his best to keep up with Huan.

“I’m trying my best to keep up with you the cold is engulfing me right now.” He said as he was dragged along Huan feeling the cold on trivet rising to unbearable temperatures slowly.

“Hey? How is it a dumb move?” He asked through his frozen voice.
Trivet stood by the warm Seelie and started to thaw out sighing relief he genuinely thought he was gonna be a goner.

Trivet felt useless at that moment the slow watching of Huan try to break the shield on the abyss mage was painful his electro arrow would have quickly done the trick but alas he couldn’t reach his bow in time and had to watch the process.
Watching Huan take it down with some ice trivet finally warmed up enough to move a little more freely. He flexed his fingers, arms and legs as he looked back at Huan “im okay better now thank you. Means a lot.” He nodded

Trivet followed behind the best he could he ached from the freezing and made his stamina reduce but he did all he could to keep up.

5 abyss mages turned up blocking their path behind once more, a ice giant in front. Crap!
Trivet pulled his bow and arrow but as the ice giant roared it’s alright roar the two warming seelies fleed, leaving them to fight in the cold and worse yet the Dark. The only light being from the abyss mages staffs and Huan and trivets weapons. This was going to be a battle of disadvantage.
“Huan, you ready for this?”

"well that just makes you more of a wimp, trying to use that card to get out of the situation your in." he scoffed. "Wow, i see i'm pissing off someone today." he rolled his eyes noticing sukura balling her fists. "Are you going to try and punch me? doesn't seem knightly of you to punch someone just because they played with your buttons." he sighed. "Now why are you crying?" he asked sharply, turning to trivet, folding his arms. "i didn't stay alive to just have a baby cry." He groaned. "tell me. what did i have the pleasure of screwing over for you to make you cry?"

"well he seems to do that to trivet as well, he has a skill. Could be useful but for now, it's not. But first time for everything am i right?" he said giving a shrug. "Well is he not honest enough? he speaks the truth with everything he says. Something..genuine for once. albeit, the words he says are rude.." he sighed. "You can't win either way i guess? But in the end. He speaks his thoughts pretty darn well. What else can i ask of him?" he chuckled. "Well i just met him! i wouldn't say that." he said rubbing the back of his head. "er...mother? i think i look masculine enough.." he said looking at himself. "Thanks and i hope so! and...i think it's going alright. He seems a bit more .... calmer with trivet. don't ask me why, it's just an oni thing." He said with confidence.

"Adventures are always nice! You can meet new people, experience new things and try new foods! it's a win win!" he exclaimed, stars in his eyes. "A perfect family is no family at all right?" He said gazing at the chasm. "Well any place, i'll love for sure! no matter what!" he said grinning. "OOH FOOD!!" he said. "and that reminds me, here take this!" he said digging around in his pocket and handed sukura a charm. "it's inazuman tradition to give a charm for good luck! i made this one myself, i gave one to trivet and i hope to give one to huan!" he said clasping sukura's hands with his over the charm. "i hope you like it! keep it safe alright?" he said giving a look at sukura in the eyes. "Well that's just balony and cheese! everyone deserves friends! no matter what their job is!" he said sighing. "I hope so. It's a nice place here, but..it might not be enough to convince him but i'll do whatever!" he said determined.

"thanks sukura!" he said brushing the small pebbles out of his hair. "well. looks like caves. it echoes. it's caves." he said standing up and looking around. "nah nah i'm gucci bro. What about you?' he asked looking her up and down. "hell nah bro. Messes with the time and your body. spooky right? let's hurry." he said holding her hand tight.

"what if i don't want to change anything and i'm happy with being a stupid depressed mofo and dying." he grumbled. "right. says someone who is overly optimistic." he muttered. "Also why the hell are you staring at my back?! It's getting creepy!" He complained. "well whatever. I don't care at this point. Might as well screw myself over and call it a day." he scoffed. "Oh god damn it! it's a sarcastic joke!" he yelled at trivet as they walked on. "Well screw that." he sighed. handing him a warming bottle. "keep it. hide it somewhere where it won't fall out anytime soon. "I have limited materials." he said looking away. "Oh god damn it. do you want me to carry you?" he groaned. stopping to pick trivet up and have him piggyback on his back despite trivet's protests. "shut up or you're walking." he grumbled. When he saw the abyss mages and the huge frosthilichurl he sighed. "hold on tight." he said taking a small pyro delusion out. "Was hoping to save this but oh well, time to kill them."

“How dare you speak to me like that, who do you think you are talking to a knight of favonious like that.” She scoffed her voice slightly raising. As she spoke.
“Yes you are you can’t just come in and start treating us like crap because you think you can and no, I would never” she said annoyed at every word Huan was saying.

Trivet didn’t answer Huan yet just turned the other way he wasn’t going to fuel a fight Huan wanted to have, he was too upset to even care at this point.
“It’s nothing, just me being a crybaby.” He said as he walked away from the party a little and sat by himself. The statement repeated over and over in his head reminding him of his long gone brother that wanted nothing to do with him haunting him over and over. Huan’s words exact to what he said. He tried to drown the words out but it was tough.

“Apparently so, I don’t understand this chip on his shoulder with people trying to help out. He seems to just not give a crap about anyone or anything.” She scoffed “a skill perhaps but where would it be of use?” She asked waiting for Iku to answer.
“In all honestly what do you take on the way he spoke to trivet, I mean you didn’t exactly stop Huan saying anything that hurt trivet but stopped trivet from doing or saying anything to Huan?” She asked curiously.
“I don’t know maybe to tone it down a bit? He can say what he thinks but the harsh and rude way it’s portrayed is uncalled for.” She said not chuckling at all.
“You know what I mean Iku like you protect him and love him a lot you can see it. It’s cute.” She shrugged “perhaps? But we don’t know what’s going on down there so we best hurry!” She said ushering Iku.

“I guess it is if your into that sort of thing?” She shrugged.
“You really love your food don’t you?”’she giggled seeing the stars in his eyes.
“Yeah I guess so perfection is in the eye of the beholder, if I’m correct?” She gestured.

Sukura giggled “you really are a funny one iku your so appreciative and are just full of beans all the time I’ve never met a soul like yourself, you really are one of a kind.” She smiled.
“Yes we have food, some pretty good food too, if I do say so myself.”
“Oh what’s this?” She said holding her hand out and looking down at the charm. “This is the sweetest thing ever, she placed it somewhere secure and hugged iku “thank you for just being an amazing friend I ever had.” She embraced him and after a while she let go and coughed “so shall we go?” She motioned.

“I know but I never really normally have time to make friends or spend time with them so no one really wants to hang out with a knight who works all the time.” She shrugged.
Sukura looked at iku and the determination in his eyes made her smile. “And so will I!”.

“Welcome, yeah was thinking the same, these caves don’t look too friendly though?” She said turning around looking at her surroundings.
“I’m sorry did you just call me bro? More like sis no?” She said confused by the statement.
“Oh I’m good thank you.” She said smiling.
“That is spooky how does that happen? She asked as if I’ll had the answers to the universes and how they work. She held Iku’s hand back and stayed close as they started making their way through the caves more.

“Then I’m sorry that you feel that way?” Trivet said not really knowing what to say.
“Doesn’t sound fun though.” He rolled his eyes at Huan.
“Well someone has to balance this out don’t they? Your down and depressed mood can have me matching so we balance it out.”

“Huan there is a great freaking wound on your back it’s hard not to look at. It’s all open and such.” He said shuddering as he spoke about it.
Trivet sighed “you moaned about me moping and being a crybaby but this is just the same, it’s rather draining.” He said slowing down just a tad.

“I’m sorry it’s hard to tell when your sarcastic and your not it all sounds the same tone. You don’t exactly make it obvious? Your whole tone one minute sounds sarcastic then the next your dead serious and ready to kill.” He argued back.

“Geez, thanks?” He said grabbing the bottle and stuffing it into a pocket for safe keeping.
“ I mean no I don’t want you to carry me I can walk myself!” He said stubbornly.
“No I’m not….HUAANN!” He said trying to protest but failed as Huan picked him up against his will and looked down at the wound that blood was seeping through now transferring onto trivets shirt.

“Fine I won’t say a word………..Thank you.” He said as he held on as Huan made their way through the caves more.
“What the heck is that!” Trivet asked. “I’m not holding on I’m helping, though after you do what you need to do.” He said pulling his bow and arrow, as a bard his balance holding himself and holding the arrow was unbelievable, he dropped down and was back to back with Huan “we gotta tag team on this bill take back you start on the front.” He said as he charged an electro arrow shooting it at the abyss mages.

"Oh and there we go with the titles." he scoffed in annoyance. "Did you get that knights of favonius mean nothing here? wake up, you're in liyue. not mondstat." He grumbled. "Well i treat everyone like this, don't think it's just a woman thing. because it's not." He sighed. "you're just going to have to deal with it because i sure don't give a damn anymore. I lost giving a damn about anything a long time ago." he said crossing his arms. "well aren't you a quiet one now." he muttered at trivet. He looked away from both of them, refusing to look at them as the anger settled in his gut. "Well isn't that something." he said rolling his eyes. *What's gotton into him?* he thought as he stared at the ground.

"I'm not sure." he sighed. "But hey, bet it might be of use to get someone off your back by pissing them off no? Like someone trying to nag at you and you just annoy them back which makes them annoyed and leave you be?" he suggested. "I was a bit shocked. it seemed like he didn't care that we all had feelings and he just shattered trivie's without a second thought." He said looking away. "Well..i thought he would..be better. and after he started going off on a tangent i didn't know what to say to get him to stop, i didn't think my words would have gotten through to him. I bet I should have. Because he didn't look as good.." he mumbled. "Well sure." he said giving an exasperated sigh. "he confuses me. He is in pain but is dead set on not showing it. I hope he will find some peace and not tear trivet apart while they are down under. "Alright, lets go then!" he said dragging sukura down the chasm hole.

"aww thanks. I guess i do strive for an out of this world personality different than others, same with trivie." he said giving a grin. "Well i can't wait to try! make sure to save some for me." he said as they made their way down. "I'm glad you liked it!" He said rubbing the back of his head with a grin. "i put some time into this. Kuki helped me put some of the finishing touches since i'm a bit too clumsy and not precise enough to do it myself." he said hugging her back. "of course, the day ain't getting any shorter!" he said as he led the way down.

"Well does anything down here look friendly?" he asked, giving a shrug. "I didn't think so. Let's go then! make sure to stay close, wouldn't want you to get lost." he said looking around. "Hopefully we can find them soon! time is pretty wonky here. And if they don't make up, they don't tear each other apart." He sighed. "Sorry! i call everyone bro, regardless of gender. I can call you sis if you would like..though thinking about it, i call kuki sis.." He pondered. "well either way, let's go!" he said motioning her over to an opening. "Not sure, maybe when we get back we can find someone who is more educated yes?" He suggested.

"well try your best." He sighed. Getting a bit lightheaded. "i would like to not go through this with you staring at my back the whole time. sorry i don't have cloth to cover it up." he said coughing. "Oh well then i'll shut up like everyone does because all i do is piss people off." he said annoyed, not saying another word after that. "Isn't that a nice character trait." he said looking at trivet, looking like he was ready to pass out. "let's just stop. I'm getting pretty tired and i don't have the energy to talk to you anymore." He groaned. "ya whatever." he said carrying trivet through the caverns. huan looked at the monsters with a dazed and unfocused look. "right back at you.." he said as he clipped the delusion right next to his cryo vision. The pyro delsion glowed with intensity as his attacks were now infused with pyro. He turned around and started hitting the abyss mages shields, deterring them quickly. "you take the frostarm lawchurl. Keep it occupied while i clean up the others!" he yelled to trivet.

(mildly surprised i finished this quick. 30 mins with 10 of those mins suffering from cramps lmao)

She looked around and then back to Huan “well it should do.” She shrugged “like does everyone think that they are revoked of who they are just because they travel somewhere else.?” She questioned.
“I mean I suppose after the way you treated trivet it makes sense. Why you have to treat everyone like that? Is there really any need to be cold to people who try to be your friend?”
“Your such hard work you know that.” Sukura said folding her arms also and looking away.

Trivet didn’t answer. Just looked the other way.
Not engaging at all in any of Huans attempts to get answers out of him.

“Perhaps? I mean it may work on a aggressor, but do we really deserve that treatment? I mean yes trivet went in hot headed. But like did he really deserve that? I mean don’t get me wrong he said some stuff he probably shouldn’t have either but he’s a child still? No?”
She said looking at iku.
“You maybe should have but again I suppose he needs to learn to stand on his own two feet, saying that though the boy literally looks up to you for everything. Like when he got worried he looked to you, when he got scared he looked to you when he has a proud moment he looked to you. The kid idolises you.”

“The ones that are troubled the most are the ones who are dead set on not showing it for one reason, to not admit defeat. It’s a crazy thought though you wouldn’t see it as admiring defeat but as asking for help he doesn’t see it like this he sees it as a world crushing problem and it’s almost like the whole of Tyavat owes him a living because of something that happened to him, maybe it does who knows, but bottom line he needs help otherwise he’s not gonna be around for much longer or even so trivet might feel the wrath of it instead, he ticked Huan off before whos to say he says one thing and snaps him like a twig.” She said then seeing Iku’s face and waved him off “it probably won’t happen ignore that part” She said rather quickly as they made their way down the chasm.

“I mean you both are out there but in a good way. It’s nice. To not have your basic standard you know?” She said nodding “I mean I can try but no promises.” She smiled.
“I Love it no one has given me a gift like this before.”
“Hey no shame in having a helping hand, having someone there to help can just make things a smooth ride for you and can also just be great feeling knowing your getting the final result you want also.” She smiled placing her hand on Iku’s then pulling him in for a hug.

“I mean I didn’t think the Chasm looked friendly but you know.” She shrugged.
She stood close by iku as they made their way down looking through the nooks and crannies of the caves.
“I mean I hope they haven’t but things are tense between them two like two opposites, though one and the same.” She pondered as they walked further in.
“Oh it’s fine sorry I just thought maybe for my knightness you may see me more as a brother than a sister.” She giggled.
“ maybe so, worth a shot!” She said as they were confronted by five abyss mages. “Crap!” Sukura cried as they were halted.
“Iku you can use your pyro right? I’ll shield us!” She nodded to him as they charged an attack.

“I am more than you know.” He mumbled walking behind “it’s fine it’s just there and distracting, concerning to say the least.” He shrugged.
“But you haven’t pissed me off? You’ve literately only genuinely made me feel like I’m a monster from your reaction to me. That is it. You need help and you would thrive with those who care about you around you, to support you to love you and to be there for you when you feel alone, you’ve been isolated for so long I believe you don’t even know what love even feels like. Brothers fight it’s normal, things can really hurt and be done by accident like my act earlier I didn’t mean to snap at you but you made me feel pathetic and small infront of those I care about I know deep down iku was disappointed with how I acted quite frankly I am too!! It was out of character for me to do so and I’m sorry but I’m not gonna let you walk yourself to your death and I’m not gonna leave you alone so just deal with it. Accept it.” He said folding his arms ripping part of his jacket placing it in huan’s wound.
“Bro you moon like your gonna pass out you need to sit for even just a few minutes, please. I’m begging you!” He said looking at Huan concerns and worries flooding his eyes.
“Sure, thing.” Trivet said as he sat on Huans back not saying another word.

Trivet nodded knowing it was best not to argue with Huan and started to distract and attack the frostarm lawchurl. He was moving through further pushing it away so Huan at time to take down the Abyss mages. He went further and further in there was a giant hole in the centre that went down and down and seemed to have some sort of crystal thing at the bottom but before trivet could notice he lost his footing and slipped hanging onto the edge for dear life.with a yelp from him and his quick reflexes he was able to pull himself up with some scratches and bruises only and starting loading the arrows into the bow again hoping Huan didn’t see what just happened.

Further in the caves after they took down the abyss mages Sukura heard something and tapped Iku’s chest “was that trivet I just heard in the distance?” She asked.

"you have to be cold so no one will try to take advantage of you, sometimes, it's just nature? i'm no human after all. The yakshas are known to be bloodthirsty, craving the feeling of a battle. The roar of adrenaline. They are praised as the saviours, but in the end. they are just slaughters." He said. "Sorry for the short history lesson but in my case, why get people close to you if they are just going to toss you like a rag doll once they are done with you? that's how it's been in the past. so why change now, everyone seems like they change, but in reality. they don't. They never have and they never will. and your no different.."

"We don't.." he shook his head. "i'll have a chat with him, hopefully i can get into him! i am told i have a charming personality." he said slightly nudging sukura. "Can you remind me to have a chat with trivie? with all this happening i'm bound to forget." He sighed, looking down in shame. "Well thanks but just makes me feel more anxiety ridden that one day i may fail him. fail to live up to his hopes and standards of me you know? I don't want to disappoint him after all we have been through.." he sighed.

"i can see it, he even said himself he would never admit defeat to someone like us. Or to anyone really, not an out of this world find but still..saddening?" he sighed. "people like him see admitting defeat a sign of weakness. I don't think it's like that, he just wishes the world of teyvat just gave him what he wanted and be done with him but it's not that easy." He said giving a shrug. "Well i don't know if he will accept our help, much less get the words to him. Like a stubborn nut not willing to fall off the tree even though the other ones did. still holding onto his pride." He said shaking his head. "He didn't look so good, didn't even bother to heal the wound." he said with a disappointed glaze. "well i'll make sure trivet doesn't get the flame this time!" he said with confidence. "Well..it better not." he said with unease. "let's just go."

"well stop." Huan grumbled. "look at something else. i bet you can find rocks interesting at this time." he rolled his eyes. "well i piss everyone off and i'm pretty sure i'm close to pissing you off. case closed." he said with annoyance. "well news flash, you aren't. you're just taking it the wrong way." he said waving his hand in front of trivet's face. "I don't need help. I never needed help and i sure don't need it now! so stop talking about that and trying to surround yourself with people that support and care about you. i heard enough of it already." He said turning away. "Well isn't that a conundrum..Joking. My solution? not give a crap because who does at this point? because i sure don't" he sighed. "well thanks. I didn't ask for your apologies, not like i need them.." he scoffed. "Well sorry to break the pity party but i am going to die in peace and be done with my consciousness because frankly that's all i can deal with right now and forever." He sighed. "Get off me!" huan said batting away trivet's hands away. "gee thanks. i didn't notice." he said coughing. "just fatigue. it's whatever. natural." he said through coughs.

After the two of them fought off the monsters, iku grabbed sukura and ran to the voice, moving through hallways and making new ones, "Over there!" he yelled, tone filled with hope as there was light at the end of the tunnel, where trivet and huan were. Iku smashed a bigger opening for hm and ran to hug trivet tightly. "TRIVIE!!" he screamed with excitement. "I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S YOU!! YOU'RE ALIVE AND IN ONE PIECE!" he cheered. Huan stood on the side. Not looking at the two and started to inch away to do his own thing.

“You put everyone under the same bracket because of a few other people you’ve encountered treating you like crap to make you feel this way. Not everyone is like that some people can learn from previous dealings and not make the same mistake or problem or hurt twice.” She said looking down “as part of the knights of favonious we have to read and understand intention, does someone look dodgy? Like a criminal? Or just someone who is unfortunate to look shifty? You just don’t know but it’s a leap you take. Sometimes it’s better to accept that not everyone is perfect and to your moulding but we’re perfect in out on way and we all have a heart in the end. Not everyone is Ill intent.” She said looking at Huan.

“I mean I can see that you are very charming” she smiled “definitely think you have what it takes to persuade him.” She nodded “sure”
Sukura giggled “im sorry but the way that boy idolises you I don’t think that could ever happen, he may not be perfect by loyal and loving yes. With you I can see it all over.” She nudged him back.

“Saddening yes but he has ample opportunity to do it, we have offered and supported as much as we can it’s now his choice.”
Sukura looked at iku as if not to be too hopeful with Huan.
“What does he think they owe him?” She shrugged also playing with a rock on the side.

“What pride though it makes him look like an obnoxious guy who doesn’t deserve respect.”
“I mean yes I noticed that but I also noticed trivet had that wound from earlier that reopened when he jumped to save Huan. Hopefully they both haven’t bled out by the time we get there.” She pondered on the thought as it was a huge possibility right now. Both Are stubborn enough.
“yeah let’s go.”

“Okay fine…” trivet said literally not knowing what to do anymore. He was ready to give up trying in anyways to make amends with Huan. He rolled his eyes “no your not what is though is your lack of just accepting that we are here to help you.” Trivet sighed “fine you don’t want help I get it. There was me thinking Iku was right thst I might actually be able to befriend you but you don’t want it fine not like everyone else feels the same way about some kid bard.”
Trivet stayed silent not really knowing what to say at the jabs just feeling useless and thinking over and over how he must of by now let Iku down as he couldn’t even follow through with this.
“I guess you and me both, no point me being here either, so why don’t you show me where’s your going and I’ll head there too.” He said cold as anything the seriousness dripping from his face.

He pulled out some healing stuff and handed it to Huan and continued walking not saying a word just walking.

“It’s got to be them right?” She cried out. As she was practically dragged by iku through the ice.
Upon seeing them she smiled “your both Aline and okay!”
Trivet felt a relief that iku was there and hugged him tightly back “I missed you I’m sorry for everything? I mean not gonna lie I thought there would have been a point things would be better if I wasn’t around…was gonna join Huan and his walk to the end I thought you’d be happier without me not to disappoint you no more” he said through tears.
Sukura looked at iku “the talk!” As she headed to Huan “you doing okay?” She asked seeing the wound not looking good.

"hm..yes. mainly because why bother going through the same thing again and again when you can get them not to? Easy and efficient." He said pleased with himself. "Well isn't that something." he sighed. "i have seen my fair share of people. i know my fair share of people. I would assume you to know, that some people never change." he grumbled. "Well it's not all daisies and flowers out there. Some people, want to stay the same. And you can't change anymore than you can touch. if you know what i mean." he said. "Intention is in the eye of the beholder. not everything looks as it seems but even then. i would like to keep my guard up. you never know, when someone will turn around and stab you in the back." he muttered. "The day someone is perfect is the day everyone is dead as a rock." he scoffed. "of course not everyone is perfect. Tell that to the crappy people in the world then." he said giving a sarcastic laugh.

Huan didn't say anything to sukura's inquiry and just rolled his eyes, looking away. "don't worry about it! i'm just glad your safe and sound!!" iku said hugging trivet tightly. "No. don't ever think that! i always want you around alright? nothing you do will ever disappoint me no matter what. just know that ok?" he said looking at trivet in the eyes. "I would definitely be sadder than an unpopped popcorn kernel without you around so you don't go leaving me anytime soon alright?" he said. "right!" he said backing away. "I'm sorry i didn't help you with the..argument with huan. I'm sure he didn't mean..ill will with his words and i'm sorry for not sticking up for you. i hope the words didn't pierce you." he said holding him. Huan just gave a scoff as he turned to leave. "yes i'm fine thank you very much." he scowled.

Huan stood in the back, trying to eye for an opening to dip which was a struggle with sukura standing next to him and watching him like a hawk as they watched trivet and iku have their moment. "I'm..just going to go." He muttered ready to run but sukura grabbed his arm and held onto it tightly. He gave an exasperated sigh, too tired to protest and groaned on about something incoherent that sukura couldn't make out. Iku had stopped hugging trivet and was talking with sukura on ways to get out of here when he froze, a sword embedded into his chest. Huan covered his mouth as iku collapsed in front of him. "Oh my archons..." he whispered. Iku lay in front of his feet, blood pooling out the wound as he coughed. Huan backed away and ran away from the group. A voice could now be heard, getting closer and closer...
