"Then I shall see you then, Lady Emmalia." Halciet turned Emmalia to face him, bringing her in for a deep kiss, seeing if she would even attempt to pull away anymore.

Halciet could tell Emmalia was giving less than all her effort, and decided he would force her to make up for it later. He pulled his lips away and bid his Farwell before leaving Emmalia to her thoughts.

Emmalia paced around the gardens, then sat down and sighed. The clouds parted a bit, and the sunlight hurt her skin - ever since she drank that potion, that had never happened. But now she was on human blood. Truly, she was a monster undeserving of even walking in the sunlight.

That night, as promised, Emmalia had a teal dress delivered to her, once again slightly more intense than the previous one from the night before.

Emmalia had given up on being embarrassed by how much skin showed in her dresses. Nobody else seemed to care anyway. She sat down to dinner with Halciet, and waited for some sign that she could feast.

Halciet had greeted her with a other kiss, same as before, and when he sat down, said, "You may eat." In a noble tone to show subtly that he had control of when and what she could consume.

Halciet grinned wickidly, knowing he had Emmalia in the palm of his hand. He began to drain his own food, every now and then glancing at Emmalia and admiring her progress.

Halciet soon finished his as well and set it aside. "Was it satisfactory?" He asked, wiping his mouth with a neatly folded cloth.

Emmalia nodded. She was sated, for the time being, and her humanity was rather quiet. She didn't like that fact, but she didn't feel dislike about it. It was knowledge, but not emotion.

Em hesitated. Would he leave her at her room, or follow her in? Then again, she couldn't tell him no anyway. His asking was just a fake formality. So, she nodded.

Halciet smiled and took her hand. As the walked for her room, Halciet could tell Emmalia's mind was caught on something. "Is everything alright Emmalia?"

"I am fine," Em lied. She couldn't tell him that the duality between what she believed and what she was doing was killing her, or that she was slowly losing her humanity and that thought terrified her. Or that she missed Callum desperately.

When they arrived at Emmalia's door, Halciet stood in front of her without saying anything, expecting Emmalia to act without order for him.

"Not so fast." Halciet said quietly, holding her arm so she couldn't leave. He pulled Emmalia into another kiss, before letting go of her. "The night just started Lady Emmalia."

Emmalia glanced at him and mumbled, "Well, someone's determined." Evidently she could still get annoyed no matter how broken she was.

"Yes, that's one of my redeeming qualities." Halciet said, almost seeming to take a moment to reflect on his achievements. Soon though he stepped forward. "I did say you'd look good out of that dress. Time to see if I was right."

"I like my prizes when I earn them." Halciet told Emmalia with his signature grin, before closing the gap between them.

When Emmalia would wake the next morning, she'd once again find Halciet gone from her bed.
