The major looked up as he saw the aircraft carrier in the distance.

"There it is." The Major pointed at the UN carrier.


"It's one of the flagships of the UN's Atlantic fleet. It's jut here for resupply. Along with the rest of the 10th carrier escort fleet."

In reality she had been on the "Yamato II" during one of her covert mission, but she wasn't about to reveal classified information, even if he was a officer the UN. So she decided to fake ignorance:


"Actually no, I haven't been on one. it will be a first. But I have a feeling were just going to see it just from outside. Aila has already set a interference grid with about 2 meter radius around us. So 'uninvited' guests can't really hear us." She then changed her gaze towards the ship:


"A beauty indeed, too bad it can't leave Earth that easily." She stops the river fence and leans against it.


"So Ace make me understand this, why must you die? we will be going there with a trained team. Its true that we can't use magic like your kind, but don't you think you are underestimating us a bit?" she asked with a bitter smile.

"I'm assuming that the kingdom had a navy?" The major asked

Ace looked over at the major. "Very small, but yes we do." He turned his back to him and looked at Kayla with a hardened expression. "There at just some things in life you can't explain." He leaned in closer to her and whispered. "The leader of Squadron X, he is alive."

"I see." The major said. He led the group towards the carrier.


The UN soldiers walked up as the major gave some kind of card to one of them. After a minute, the soldier came back as he saluted and allowed the group to enter.


As the major guided them, they passed by another check point. "Come on." The UN soldier said to Ace as he pointed at Ace's sword.


The other soldiers saluted at the major and Kayla allowing both of the to pass.

Ace walked by with a grunt. "I totally prefer my world."

Three UN soldoers pointed their guns at Ace. The soldiers manning the security check grabbed their guns as well.


"Hand the sword over. We are not about to let you walk into our navy vessel with a weapon."


"Just hand it over." The major said. "You are entering UN military property."

Ariel showed a displeased face , she stepped forward while saying:


"Stand down. Again with this, I don't expect you to understand but a swordsman can't hand over his weapon so easily. He's under my custody, I returned him the sword and I will be the one deciding if he hands it over or not. "


she turned towards the major saying:


"you saw, or at least are aware of the little magic trick he pulled at the asembly, I don't think he needs his sword to if he means us harm and as I said he wil temporarily enter my team and I allow him to cary it ."


she then looked at the guards with a grin.


"Or you will have me have me relinguish my swords to you as well, private?"

He then turned to Ace. "Please just give your sword. You'll get it back later when we leave."

Ace gripped the sword hard. "No. If you want it, then you can fight for it." He shrugged passed them. No one would touch this sword, it was the sword he was going to kill the Emperor with.

Three UN light armoured vehicles had their heavy armour piercing guns pointed at Ace.


Along with two machines that pointed their weapons at Ace.

"Please just give it. I'd rather not have a fight here but not only that, we have heavy equipment here than would blow us up. Id rather not use them. You're about to go inside the UNS North America. And technically speaking, you are an enemy, and we can not have you bring weapons into our vessels."

Ariel narrowed her eyes in distaste things were getting unnecessarily complicated around here, each of then wanting to prove they had bigger...guns than the others. She then went between Ace and the armored vehicles.


"Okay let's calm down, I've had enough of this. To think that this much fuss will be made for a simple confidential meeting" she then turned towards the UN soldiers. "This is going a little bit overboard, even from you guys. I go on the front lines and risk my life to find a less bloodier way to end this war and this is what I get? Fine, I'd rather go back there. Let's go Ace, Ellen, Alex * she hesitated before continuing* Major you can join us too if you want." and she started walking back to UN HQ, she continued speaking, not caring if people thought she was talking to herself, she almost shouted:


"Aila make sure to find a empty room when we get there, I don't care if its a conference room or just a closet." she couldn't believe it, weren't they all UN? she discarded those thought as she made her way.


"Uf the Captain snapped... last time I saw her like that was when Akari almost shot himself while cleaning his gun." said Alex a bit concerned.


"Ya, better follow her before she decides to vent her anger on us." replied Ellen worried. She took a look Ace saying:


"Better follow her, Herr Ace she will get angrier if we keep her waiting."

"You've got to understand. These are UN soldiers. They are part of the United Nations military branch. I hope you understand that the UN military is an independent military force which is why the soldiers refuse to listen to you even though you are an officer." The Major said beside Kayla while guiding her back to the HQ.

Ace's face reddened and he followed Kayla without even thinking. She would do good on my planet. He grinned and continued to walk, ignoring the soldiers.

The soldiers began to resume their work as the group left.


As they were walking by, a convoy of american military vehicles were seen moving through the streets out of the city.


"The US government must have gotten authorization to deploy more troops." The Major said seeing the convoy.

"How many more troops are they going to send? with that nuke we just dropped is even necessary to send additional forces?" asked Kayla while looking at the convoy making its way..she calmed down a bit. And now was feeling a bit embarrassed that she let her emotions go wild like that.

"Why do you approach the idea of our citizens being dead? You do realise thay we have very different views feom your world. What you believe to be right, we see as wrong." The major askes Ace

Ace shrugged and stuff his hands in his pockets, after putting his sword in its sheath. "I could say the same for you. The only thing is, you can't judge a world you know nothing about. Going to war with a country or planet for that matter means nothing to me. If you could stop talking to me, that would be nice.. I don't particularly like any of you 'major' people. Except if Kayla is one."

"But when you start taking slaves, killing children, we do not tolerate that kind of in-humane act."

Ace's ear twitched. "I'm not joking, if you don't stop I'll kill you. Don't judge one person off a world they live in. I don't need to hear what you say as I can see it is a great waste of time." He rested his forearm on the hilt of his sword casually.

"Ari-chan I've got a free room for you. it's located in the 'Dag Hammarskjöld Library' that will suit your needs. It is soundproof and 'George' the library's AI told me that it's OK to use it as a meeting place." said Aila in her ear piece, in a attempt to cheer Kayla up.


"Okay thanks alot Aila, but before that. Alex" Alex that was behind her immediately responded.


"Yes ma'am?"


"Give Ace your earpiece, since he's going to join us he deserves to hear Aila as she's a fellow team member"


Alex made a confused face for a second, but complied with the order. She went in front of Ace and handed him a tiny device and motioned him to put it in his ear.


Kayla then turned around continued:


"Aila make sure to add the Major as well to our team's frequency. Okay then good news we have a room to peacefully talk.Its located in the UN's grand library. It's AI was kind enough to lend us a spare room for a short while. Its located at the 1st floor over there" She then pointed towards the 'Dag Hammarskjöld Library'.


"But I see its getting dark what do you want to do?, shall we call it a day and meet tomorrow before the exchange or do we go now ?" she directed her question towards both Ace and the major. then added joking: "Play nice or I will have you both share a room tonight"

"I'll do anything just not to stay with this guy" Ace moaned.

"Tomorrow, you have to assist in prisoner exchange. I suggest you do not stay up too late."

Edymion grunted but didn't reply. He tapped his fingers lightly on the handle of the sword. "So now what?"
