Realistic or Modern Gangland 2025

".. Jesus. Amari's ring. It'd be hard to get it from him, but... He values his wife more than most things in the world, right beside his children." He scratched his chin and then leaned over to look at the suits. ".. Dark silver suits with black ties. That's best for them." He smiled softly as he inspected the two on the screen. (@Beowulf)

--

".. I'd appreciate it... I'll leave with the boys on the day you do the job, and I'll have someone here looking after Michael until you can get here. Does that sound good to you?" He asked as he drank down the rest of the coffee and slowly rose up, holding George in his arms. George was flopped out, his head rested comfortably on Vincent's shoulder - he was drooling, too, so there was a damp spot on his shoulder as well. (@Axel1313)

"Yep, that sounds just fine to me." He finished up his coffee and stood to go put his cup in the dishwasher. "I'll also make sure to let you know if anything else comes up about that sniping opportunity that guy came to talk about. For now." A loud yawn escaped. "I should probably get back home and get some rest."(@DrTrollinski )

".. Please, stay over for the night. There's a spare room right beside George's one - there's a spare bed in there, clean, there's a TV, too. It'd be easier than you driving all the way home." He smiled softly and turned around. ".. Help yourself to food and drink, if you need it... I'm putting George to bed." He said as he began walking towards the exit of the kitchen. (@Axel1313)

"Thank you sir. I believe I will take you up on that offer. Wouldn't be good to drive home this when I'm this tired either." He rubbed his eyes and headed towards the spare room. "Alright, I'll just head to bed, I've had plenty of food and drinks tonight. Bon soir Boss."(@DrTrollinski )

".. Yeah, night, John." He said as he carried George up the stairs and set him down in his bed. As Johnathan walked by George's room, he saw Amari tucking him into bed. ".. Goodnight, son..." He heard him whisper, he then kissed him on the head and walked out of the bedroom and wandered off down the hallway to his own bedroom. (@Axel1313)

"Good night."

Johnathan smiled as he saw Amari tucking his son into bed. That made him miss his girls so much. As soon as he got into the spare room he closed the door, flopped down on the bed and flipped his phone open. "Colette? It's me mon cheri." He greeted her cheerfully. "Yeah, yeah....I know it's a weird time to be calling you, but I just wanted to tell you and the girls goodnight." He smiled brightly and chuckled as he could hear her taking the phone over to the babbling girls. They didn't know many words yet, but he could hear a very happy 'daddy' clearly over and over again."Good night mes petites. You be good for your mother now, okay?" He chuckled. Rolling on to his side he set the phone down near his head, quickly falling asleep to the sound of them next to him.(@DrTrollinski )

(We're going to go ahead and skip to the next week on our side.)

On the following week, Vincent had already booked the little trip to the Six Flags place. Johnathan was there when he broke the news to the two boys and they completely freaked out, to say the least. They looked so happy to be going a place with their dad and spending some quality time with him. Joseph discreetly went and thanked Johnathan when he had the time, because he knew that he had something to do with it. On the day of their departure, Vincent had called for someone to look after Michael until Johnathan was done with the job.

In terms of the job, someone had driven Johnathan and four others to the donut store a couple of blocks up from where the job was happening. Before they knew it, there were five police uniforms pulled out of one of the dumpsters, all pressed and stored neatly in plastic suit bags. Johnathan got handed one while the others started changing into theirs. (@Axel1313)

"You guys ready to put a serious dent in these terrorists plan?" He grinned as he slipped into the uniform. The night was finally here. His stomach was in knots from both excitement and nerves. Everything was planned down to the last little detail though, so there is no way things could go wrong. (@DrTrollinski )

"You bet." One man smiled as he began walking out of the back alley with everyone else. ".. John, you're the one who's going to go in with Jack to plant the block of C4 we've been left - The rest of us will stick around outside and make sure that there's no civilians on the premises. Once the stuff's planted, we bail, and then we detonate, alright?" He said, walking onward. "You agree with all that? Any suggestions?" He asked him. (@Axel1313)

"Alright." He nodded, the other guys doing the same as well. "Only thing I've got to say is make sure we make it quick. In and out, no mistakes. Not that I need to tell you guys that already though. I'm sure you're more than ready for it." He finished straightening up his uniform. "Lets go get this done!"(@DrTrollinski )

"Yep." He replied simply, they walked on for about fifteen minutes or so until they reached the dock area, and, as told, the warehouse was right there. There were no guards for it, believe it or not. It was locked up tighter than a drum, though, so first thing they needed to do was find a way inside. There were quite a lot of civilians walking around in the area where they were planning to hit, a lot of them being couples, and the occasional families walking around and enjoying the view.

".. Okay. You two go find a way inside, the rest of us, we'll clear these people out." He said, the man that was going with Johnathan nodded and then turned towards the warehouse.

"Doesn't look like we're getting in through the front. Any suggestions?" He asked. (@Axel1313)

Johnathan nodded and looked at the tightly locked door. "Hmm...maybe there's a backdoor that's not locked as tightly? Or a window that we can break into. If not, then we could always try to pick the lock on this door. There aren't any guards, so making too much noise shouldn't be too much of a problem."(@DrTrollinski )

"Alright... Let's check the back." He said as he lead him off behind the warehouse. There was nothing back here aside from an old wooden door that seemed to be damp and moldy at the hinges. It was locked up with a chain, but the door itself looked like it would break pretty easily. ".. Try getting through that door there - I've got the C4, so let's make this quick." He said. (@Axel1313)

"This should be pretty easy to get into." Johnathan popped his back before having a go at the door. It took a few kicks, but he was eventually he was able to get it open enough for them to get in. "There we go, come on. I'll follow you and keep watch just in case we've caught any attention."(@DrTrollinski )

When they stepped inside, they saw something that was very, very surprising. Glancing around the warehouse, they saw crates upon crates within the center, with only a simple walkway that lead around them all. There was barely any room to go around the sides - It was insane. Every crate had a yellow warning sign with the word 'EXPLOSIVE' printed on it.

".. Holy... Shit..." He muttered as he rubbed the back of his head. (@Axel1313)

"Jesus...." He looked at the amount of explosives in the warehouse with wide eyes. To think that all of this was sitting her for who knows how long and nobody outside even knew about it. "You think the perimeter we set up outside is going to be big enough for the explosion this is gonna cause?"(@DrTrollinski )

".. Yeah. We've set it up big enough..." He said, rubbing the back of his head as he pulled the C4 from under his jacket and walked up to the nearest crate and stuck it down on it, sighing a little. He put a timer on it for twenty minutes. In twenty minutes this place was going boom. He quickly turned to Johnathan and made a dash for the door. "Come on, dip! We need to get out of here! We've got twenty minutes!" He yelled as he grabbed him by the arm and dragged him out the warehouse. "Johnathan, make sure the rest of the civilians get clear, hell, scream that there's a bomb in there and they need to get as far away as possible." He said, followed by running out onto the street. (@Axel1313)

Twenty minutes?! That felt like it was going to be hardly any time at all for them to get away. It sure was a great incentive for him to book it out of there without having to be told twice. Any civilians he saw on the way out got a very quick, yet clear message to get the heck out of there or be blown to pieces .(@DrTrollinski )

The civilians quickly cleared while screaming when they heard the word 'bomb'. As soon as everyone was evacuated and at a long distance with only ten minutes to spare; the man who was mostly running the whole operation ran up and dragged them off down the street and towards the opposite side of the dock - when they were finally at a distance that was safe, they took a seat on a bench that overlooked the work they were about to do.

Five minutes.

Three minutes.

One minute.

Thirty seconds.

Ten.

Five.

One.

Three rapid beeps, and then the whole place went up in flames. Literally, a mushroom cloud of an explosion just launched up into the air as debris and scraps of the warehouse propelled into the sky, the building bellowing out thick black smoke and bright yellow flames. It was loud, and it made their ears ring, but it didn't last long - their senses refocused to the sound of screaming people and crying children, but over by the warehouse, it didn't seem that there were any bodies in the premises. Things finally seemed safe, but sirens soon came wailing towards the area.

"Good job, boys. Let's get back to the donut store and get our old gear back on. The police are going to be on a code zero for the next few hours or so, so let's get out in the distraction." He said. (@Axel1313)

"Phew. Am I glad that's over." Johnathan grinned as they headed back towards the doughnut shop. "So glad to see that we wont have any troubles with those terrorists anymore either or at least hope that they wont even dare try anything after this."(@DrTrollinski )

"Speak to Felix here. The guy you went with. He's the man for explosives - Felix - How much you reckon they've lost in terms of cash?" The main man asked, Felix looked around them all as they neared the doughnut shop. He smiled.

".. I'd say they've lost at least a few million from that one hit." He said as he rubbed his hands together while crossing the road to get to the back alley behind the store.

A text came through to Johnathan's phone: 'Hey, John. It's Vincent here - I'm taking the time to text you seeing as we've just stopped at a service station and both the boys have gone off to the restroom. They're excited for our little trip - It's still only early, so we should be there within another hour or so. I plan to stay for four days there with them.

Also, I recently got a call saying that you've arrived back at my place to look after Michael. Glad you got the job finished so quick!

- Vincent.'

Johnathan wasn't back at the house yet. What the hell? If Amari got panicked, he'd come straight back and that would devastate the boys - Regardless, someone had taken Johnathan's place, but who? (@Axel1313)

"Really?" His grin widened. "Well that's definitely good news. Those guys are gonna be running away with their tails between their legs now aren't they boys." He laughed with the guys over their victory. That is, until he read Amari's text. He gripped his chest and had to lean against a wall for support. Oh God he felt like his heart had stopped. Who in God's name had called him and told him that he was there with Michael right now. He had to get back to Amari's ASAP! "Guys I gotta go like...right now! I don't care if I'm still in this uniform I gotta get to the bosses house immediately."(@DrTrollinski )

"Sure, I guess. Be careful, man." One said as he began stripping off his cop uniform. It was at least a ten minute drive to get back to Amari's house, but hopefully he could be there in time. How did the guards manage to screw up for the second time here? What the hell was going on? The guards were stood there as normal, but they instantly opened the gate for Johnathan when he arrived. The house looked normal - no broken windows, the door wasn't kicked down - it all looked relaxed. (@Axel1313)

Johnathan stripped off the bulkier parts of the uniform before he headed into the house. Leaving ever thing that was in the belt and the hat in the back of his car. At least it didn't look like anyone had broken in. "Hello?" He called out as soon as he stepped through the door. Practically running straight up to Michael's room."Who's in here? You better be the sitter Mr. Amari hired."(@DrTrollinski)

"Now, now..." A voice called out from the chair in the room. It was the chair Johnathan once fell asleep on. The man had Michael in his arms and was feeding him a bottle of formula. It was the bald-headed mystery email man that broke in before. "I don't see why you're so concerned. I'm great with kids." He smiled and slowly rose up, rocking the infant gently from side to side.
