Two game concepts that birthed in my skull recently.


Wild Wild South


The realm has made a concerted effort to annex the south, most land born cities have aligned with the Realm and everyone who wishes to preserve their freedom into the land of opportunity rides down into the south.


Powerfull sorceries have been brought to bear and the realm is working on colonising those southern lands.


But most free opportunists are rdding south to strike out on their own, cities spring up anywhere water can be found, farms put together, cattle raising is a strong industry, but so is banditry.


The Group would be Solars, recently exalted after being on a carravan struck down by dune people and bandits. After finaly arriving down in the southern city of Gem, it's much too crowded for our heroes who think a better use of their time is to roam the lands, bring justice, and run from their dark pasts.


Pushing down into the wild trying to turn it into a land for the people of creation. A land of opportunity and danger.


Exalted Western. Flamepieces, wenches, and a whole new Lasso based Martial art.

I have pondered upon a shogunate era fairfolk game... set prior to the Great Contagion. With all PCs being raksha belonging to a certain court/freehold. A powerful court residing within a level 5 freehold in the Wyld, spanning many waypoints.


Said court's mileniu is gaslamp/steam-punk/retro-future victorian era. At least the theme is such. Think Girl Genius, steampunk, league of extra-ordinary gentlemen, and such...


And into the realm where the sun never sets upon the mighty isle of Albion comes an emissary from the Realm beneath Creation, a creature of entropy welcoming the raksha into Creation so that it may be destroyed.


Tranquility, The White Queen and ruler of Albion, trusts not these minions of entropy, and thus... you, along with select others, of the freehold of Albion have been tasked to venture into that dark realm and uncover the Truth behind the dread emissaries who've ventured far and wide into the Wyld with their seductive invitation.


For Queen and Country! You will venture into the dark realm of the Underworld. What you might discover could possibly horrify even the Unthinkable inhabitants of the Wyld...

Mileniu/Setting/Style of characters MUST be gaslamp/steam-punk/retro-future Victorian based.


As must their behemoths, spells and so on; ie a gigantic behemoth might manifest as an otherworld monstrosity constructed of fiendish steel striding over land and sea upon three legs and brandishing an aetheric death-ray. A horde of extras might resemble an army of ghurkas. A cataphract adventurer might look like a british gentleman explorer with pithhelmut, flintpistol and saber.

It just so happens that my first ever Raksha concept (Just thinking about what'd be cool) was basically a Raksha Gentleman- all courtly graces and polite nobility... and a penchant for hunting.


Add steampunk hunting dogs and we're there...
