"Yes, yes~" Riles gave a playful salute to the less-than-pleased merchant before turning away from his stall. If the merchant were a real person, she might have held a bit of Guilt, but... Well, it was just an NPC in the end; a clump of data, no more, no less. That being the case, Riles had a wide grin on her face as she thought about the information on the quest she had gained, as well as how many Spells she could obtain by making use of the Tomes she received.


Well, not that she'd use them right away, of course.


If she did and they bound themselves together, or she earned some sort of unknown title which modified one of the Magics' variables, then she wouldn't be doing things very thoroughly. As a Tester, that was unnaceptable... Therefor, all the tomes would remain in her inventory for now.


'If only I knew where a training-grounds sort of area was, then I'd be able to --'


"Uh, hey…You’re another tester right?" Riles turned to face the Kitsune who interrupted her thoughts, blinking once in partial surprise on how silent he had been. Perhaps he was a stealth class of some sort?


"Do you mind helping me out? I’m not use to this?" the Kitsune continued, resulting in a grin on Riles' face.


"Oho~, you're inexperienced, huh~?" After disregarding his first question, as she figured it was rhetorical (what with the name floating above her head being proof as a player, and thus a fellow Tester), Riles moved closer to the Kitsune... And then kept getting closer, breaking any and all forms of personal space and stopping only inches from his toned body before running her finger along his chest. "For you to tell a girl something like that in broad daylight... You sure are bold, foxie~"


Making a small circle on his abs, Riles pushed off of Kushune, causing her to spin in a circle once before stopping at a more acceptable distance away for conversation. Once she finished her spin, she placed a hand in front of her mouth with a short "Pfhuhuhu~" before glancing at the Kitsune's name and continuing, cutting off any vocal reaction he might have had. "Really though... You're going to have to be a bit clearer on what you're not used to, 'Kushune'~"

Raven was late to the party, as she was pulled aside by one of the henchmen to make sure she read the whole contract. Apparently it looked like she just skimmed through it. In reality she was just a really fast reader. Another thing that delayed her getting into the game was that she had like 8,000 questions, such as, "why would you let minors test this if you can't be sure that the machine wouldn't completely wreck your senses." To which there was no other reply other than, "you were qualified for this testing." But she couldn't care less, she'd seen Sword Art, she knew how this ended.


Raven let off a few more sarcastic comments while she was being strapped down (rather aggressively might she add) and was finally launched in the game.


She saw player creation screen and did a happy dance, her favorite part about video games were creating her virtual self. That alone took thirty minutes, analyzing each class and race. In the end she chose to be a Drow Mage. Her favorite part about her race was totally the long white hair. She was like an elf version of Storm from X-men.


She finally finished customizing her character and loaded into the land. Let me tell you, it was awesome. She knelt down and felt the grass and then the material of her cloak. After she finished admiring her surroundings she looked up to see the entrance to a city a few feet away. Not to mention the NCP's that were staring at her in what looked like disgust. "Well I probably didn't pick the nicest race so i'll pretend you guys are just afraid and not huge dicks." She said quietly as the NCP's whispered to each other. She rolled her eyes and walked into the city, seeing the anti Demihumans signs everywhere.


"Well this is oddly familiar." She said, snickering darkly and walking over to one of the merchants because she felt her stomach rumbling. She actually felt hungry which she found pretty cool but annoying, wondering if they were messing with her neurons just for the sake of making her feel hungry.


"I swear if I wake up with a eating disorder..." She murmured to herself, knocking on the door like thing. "Hey, do you know where I can find some food because im pretty sure im gonna starve."

Jack stared the the nymph feeling weird so he was happy for an excuse as he noticed another tester nearby banging on a door.holding up a finger to tell vixx he'll be back he walked over to the girl who looked like a Mage. Tapping her on the shoulder he noticed all the anti demihumans signs and he shivered feeling very happy he looked like a normal person.he grabbed the girls shoulder and flipped her around.pointing to his stomach then towards the town,he indicated that he knew where food was. Beginning to walk towards a bakery he motioned for the girl to follow him.

Kishune raised an eye brown under is mask as Riles said he was inexperienced. “Uh yeah…” He replied as she got closer. Even though she broke all forms of personal space, he didn’t move an inch even to look down at her. This said in body language he wasn’t bothered by this but was blushing badly under the mask as her finger ran along his chest. Yes this was a game to him, but it was so real and everything that it was hard to believe it was a fake person before him.


When she said he was being so bold in broad daylight, Kishune didn’t say anything as he didn’t know what she was getting at. Out of reaction his abs tightened when she started to trace them. Though that was the most embarrassing part of it to him, he didn’t tell her to stop to not be rude to her. When she suddenly pushed away and spun in a circle only to stop and snicker at him behind her hand, he was a bit surprised by the sudden action bus didn’t show it in his actions. “Uh…” as he was about to say something, anything to break the awkwardness he was feeling, She spoke first saying he needed to be clearer with what he mean. “Uh…right…” He responded. “I was taking about…well Gaming in general…I never played, or got into playing Video games…I was wondering if you could help me?” He asked her. In his tone it made it seem like that either didn't happen to him, or that he didn't mind it.

With slightly widened eyes and a face of disbelief, Riles simply stared at Kushune for a couple of moments after accidentally letting out an "Eh?". What he had said was just so... Bizarre. I mean, who in this day and age hasn't played a Video Game other than people who live in 3rd World Countries, and people who lived far off into the country? The young man in front of her would need to be either incredibly poor or incredibly sheltered for him not to have played any games...


Tilting her head after thinking so, Riles smiled to herself and shrugged. In the end, it really didn't matter why he didn't play any games, or even how he got into the Test despite his inexperience. He had requested assistance and managed to keep himself from running away from Riles' antics (which she was only slightly disappointed by), so the least she could do was lend a helping hand.


"Alright, I'll help you out, but... Not here." Looking around, Riles could easily see that some of the villagers continued to mutter while looking at the Kitsune. It would be best to go somewhere more secluded and with less prying eyes around. If they found a nice empty lot somewhere, then Riles could practice some magic, too... After scanning the area for a second, Riles' eyes landed on a young man which looked to be in his pre-teens standing at the counter of a stall nearby. While he was staring at Riles and Kushune like almost everyone else around, Riles couldn't help but feel as though his intentions were a bit different... Maybe it was something about his mystified-looking face? It was as if he were a child that met Santa for the first time.


Once she started approaching the young man, he seemed to snap out of his stupor, and straightened up just in time for her to arrive in front of him. Still, as he looked at her, she couldn't help but wonder whether the man was actually paying attention or not... He was giving off a dazed expression still, after all.


"Hey kid."

"E-Eh? You're real?" The boy asked with an expression of utter disbelief.

After a momentary pause and an expression that spelled out 'What kind of question is that?', Riles gave a short "Yeah." before continuing. "Me and muscle-fox over there are looking for a private place to talk. Have you got anywhere in mi--"

"Y-You're a Magic Creature, right?!" the young man shouted, cutting off Riles as she was about to finish her sentence.

"Erm..." This time, it was Riles' turn to make a shocked expression, with her tail shifting slightly behind her, causing the young man's eyes to shine.

"You really are one! I knew it! Hah! I knew that your kind existed, but no one believed me!" the boy practically shouted while placing his hands onto the counter in front of him and pushing his face forward to get a better look. "They called me crazy, but I knew magic creatures like you existed! You're an Imp, right? Amazing~ to think I'd meet one here of all places, I knew working for only 3 Gold per hour was worth it!"

"T-Three gold, huh?" Riles simply blinked at the man as he sputtered and let out words like a machine gun. 'This guy... He's... What you'd call a Fanatic, right...?' Thinking so, Riles gave an awkward smile. It was exactly as she deduced, the man with crazed eyes, heavy breathing, and a slight amount of drool pooling in his mouth was, indeed, a fanatic. A Demon Fanatic, to be precise.

"Seriously though, how did you get all the way here -- no, no... Where did you come from?! Are there more of you? Can I meet them? Do you accept initiates to a cult or something, I have my own tools and every--" Riles, finally recovering from the sudden appearance of such a... Different individual, shut the young man's mouth with her hand before giving him a question of her own.

"Listen. I'd love to play twenty questions with you right now, but I'm in a hurry, see? Me and my friend over there want to have a 'talk' in private. Get it?" Motioning to Kushune, Riles looked back at the man and put emphasis on 'talk' before releasing his face. After a moment of silence, his eyes became as wide as dinner plates.

"Y-You don't mean...?" Muttering to himself, the man paused for a moment before giving a firm nod, as if he understood something. "I-I see. I didn't know. You must want to feed right away, right? Sorry. Erm... You see, there's this place near here that's really good for stuff like that, you've just gotta . . ."

Nodding as the man came to his own misunderstanding, Riles listened in on his directions before turning to Kushune. "Alright, let's go!"

I was debating whether or not to cut this post at about the halfway mark (near the 'fanatic' bit), but decided against it, seeing as there wouldn't be much for Kushune to do in this situation. Anyways. The directions the fanatic gave Riles should essentially be a Tavern of sorts; one that specializes in... Night activities.

Kishune didn’t notice the villagers muttering around cause he didn’t care about them. They were anything important to them and thus he didn’t acknowledge them. He noticed she seemed to look around a bit before spotting a young man on standby at a stall. As she approached the man he straightened up quickly. Something didn’t see right to the man to Kishune so he walked up behind her to make sure things were going ok. Kishune raised an eyebrow as they began to talk and went on to her saying they needed a private room and he just seemed to ignore that and go on asking her about what she was. He seemed more interested in her than anything, and Kishune didn’t understand why. He just sighed as he crossed his arms as it didn’t get nowhere till she stopped him and told the guy she wanted to talk privately with Kishune. The guy seemed to acknowledge the importance and gave them directions. When she turned to him and said let’s go, Kishune nodded and followed after her. ‘Finally…’ he thought as he uncrossed his arms.

"Now a right..." Talking to herself, Riles walked down the desolate alleyways behind the Fanatic's shop with Kishune in tow. The directions she had received were 'Left, Right, Left, Left, keep going forward until you see the dead cat skeleton, Right, Right, Up, Up, Up' -- which seemed a lot like a cheat code of sorts (minus the cat skeleton), so she didn't have much trouble memorizing it after going through the directions in her head a couple of times. They had already passed the cat skeleton, which was exactly as it sounded: the skeleton of a cat that was propped up against a wall.


"So, Kishune." Turning right and continuing down the alley, Riles didn't bother turning her head to face the young man as she initiated conversation. "Since we're headed to an Inn, we're going to need to pay for a room."


Taking another right, she continued. "Is that coming out of your wallet, or mine?"


Since the pair only had to go forward for another three blocks, Riles thought that bringing up the subject of money would be best for the both of them, as to be prepared. She didn't know what kind of place the inn would be, after all...

Kishune walked behind the Imp as they started to go through alleyways. Walking not too far behind as they took every corner or so turn, Kishune was starting to get confused from it all. He then looked at Riles from under his mask as she called out to him. He looked at her confused as she looked back at him. She re-informed him they were going to an Inn, but when she told him they need to pay, he was confused, especially when she asked who was going to pay. ‘Wait what? It’s going to cost money? But I don’t have any money…never have.’ He thought nervously as he felt ashamed. He shouldn’t be having a lady pay for him, as he knew she had money as he watched her buy from the old shop keep. “I…Don’t think I have any money…” He said to her. Though he was nervous on the inside, he sounded like it wasn’t much of a problem outside. Kishune never one opened his menu since he been in the game so he doesn’t know much of what he has or anything.

Raven tried to keep her head down and avoided eye contact from the NCP's. As she walked through the town she saw other demi-humans in the same position as her, hunched over and hiding their face while NCP's scowled and shot dirty looks. She had to admit that the AI here was amazing. It was like they were their own people, like they were real people. The guy bought her some sourdough bread and handed a piece to her saying how good it was. "Is it really?" She asked, taking a bite and letting a muffled 'woah'. It had the texture and the taste of real bread, maybe even better. "This is great." She said, swallowing. At this point she could stay here for the rest of her life, minus the ever so slightly racist NCP's of course, but that just made it feel even more real. "Thanks man." She said, looking up at the guy who bought her food. @BeebeTheWarrior

Vricesia was out of breath and quite fatigued from the creation of the skill. Though she still spoke in response to Akumada's question, though with a noticeably exhausted and somewhat pained voice. "Y-Yeah...just...give me a minute...or three..." Though that period of rest never came as she then realized that someone else was nearby as the demon asked who she was. Turning her head, she examined the person who introduced herself as Vixx. Odd name...possibly one alluding to being a tester? Though they hadn't really spoken to any of the NPCs on a deep level, so there was no way to tell of their naming customs. Growing wary the centuaress reached for her scimitars and slid them into the seaths before asking "Are you a tester?" If she wasn't, then they would be incredibly confused. But if she was...was player killing possible?

Riles paused a moment after Kishune said that he didn't have a money, but then laughed to herself. "Right, right, you've never played a game before... My bad. Sort of got side-tracked after the whole fanatic-guy."


Turning to face Kishune, Riles stops walking down the alley and lifts up her hand to about chest-level, with her palm facing away from herself. "Take your hand like this, aaand..." Riles swipes down with her index in middle fingers, resulting in the GUI opening in a vertical line. "Swipe like this with two fingers, alright?"

After waiting for Kishune to mimic her↑, Riles continues. "What you're looking at is most commonly referred to as a 'Menu'. There's a lot of information in that thing." smiling at the Kitsune, Riles points towards the sky in a 'matter of fact' pose. "And because there's a lot of stuff... Just opening it should be enough for now. If you look a bit up and to the right, you'll see a Coin-purse thing with a number next to it."((Top right of this))


Watching his eyes to make sure he looks there, Riles crosses her arms. "That number is the amount of currency you have, as marked with 'Gold' or simply 'G'. Gold is a basic currency for games... You could think of them as pennies, nickels, dimes... Anything you want. I'm not sure of their equivalence in the real world." Shrugging, Riles closed her menu with another two-fingered swipe downwards. "Gold comes from a lot of things in games, but most games also give you some starting Gold. This game included. So, still thinking that you don't have any money?"

Jack smiled liking this girl already.he didn`t notice all the npcs staring at him confused until a man came up and pulling me away from raven he said "what are you doing walking around with a demihuman" he asked clearly shocked. i glared at him before pushing past and returning to raven. he gently grabbed a firm grip on her shoulder before steering her towards a shadier and quieter part of town. there he let her go and smiled at her reassuringly.realizing he hadn't introduced himself he pulled out his sword and wrote in the sand the word jack before sticking out his hand and grabbing hers shaking itvigorously

  Akumada clarified that everyone in the group was ok first before his full attention went to the one called Vixx. When Vrice told him to give her a minute or so, Akumada nodded as he stuck his sword in the ground so it stayed up on its own as he looked at his hands. He flexed his fingers and looked around himself even the cut on his cheek which was now gone. Even so the damage to their HP was still there. “I get it now…it’s like in shooters where the damage fades a short time later, just the HP doesn’t recover.” He said mainly to himself but loud enough everyone could hear. Hearing her ask about players, Akumada raised an eyebrow. Seeing she knew that word it could only be said that she was one as well. “Yeah, we’re players.” He told her as he looked at her. When she mentioned Tournament, Akumada gave her a look that said ‘what is she talking about’. “Tournament? We’re just Beta testing this game and system…” He informed her as he had a raised eyebrow.   Kishune stopped walking when she started to laugh to herself. He raised an eyebrow at this though she couldn’t see. When she stopped to look at her, she seemed to instruct him to do an action with his hand. “Uh, ok…” He said then held his hand out in front of him and mimicked her action and was surprised that a menu popped up. He couldn’t see her menus pop up and wondered if she was messing with him at first but seeing it appear for him he was surprised.
  
  
  Kishune was then going through the menu as she explained then stopped when she mentioned a coin purse and was about to go through his inventory to look for it as he was already there, but stopped as she said it was up to the right. He then saw a symbol of a coin pouch/purse with a large number to him. Though he had to look with his eyes and not turn his head as the whole menu moved with the direction of his head, moving the amount of gold out of his sight. He was about to spin in circles if he didn’t figure this out the last minute. He then looked back to Riles as she asked if he thought he had no money. He then shook his head at her. “I do, and I’ll pay. You are helping me after all, it’s the least I can do.” He told her sounding honorable. “Shall we continue then?” He gestured to her to lead again.

Kylie sighed she was quiet relieved knowing that they were players . Looking at the centaur who seemed quit in pain , at least she looked like it smiling she nodded " Yes I am . " interrupted by the man with the execively large sword . He was thinking out loud , if I understood correctly that means we can feel pain in this game . So dying is an option , if something were to go wrong . Not to long after the man looked at me as if I was crazy because of my perilous statement .

"Can't wait to rent a room together, huh~?" Riles giggled to herself before shaking her head and pointing dramatically at Kishune. "It's good to be eager, but some girls like to take it slow, y'know?"


Riles brought a closed hand to her mouth and gave a short *Ahem*. "Anyways, the lesson isn't over just yet. Knowing the Gold exists and knowing how to access it are two entirely different things, after all." Riles spoke like a teacher who was moving on to the next lesson, but in reality, she had almost forgotten to mention the subject given the fact that it was common knowledge to gamers. "All you've gotta do to access the Gold you have is press a finger -- any finger -- on the Money Icon. A bar that resembles a Combination Lock(IMG) should show up. The arrows up and down over each digit increase or decrease the amount respectively, and you won't be able to increase the number higher than your maximum Gold... As you might have guessed, this is a selector for withdrawing the Gold you have."


Recounting what she had seen at the end of her deal with the Merchant, Riles brought up her own Menu once again and arrived at the line of numbers. At default, it had her current maximum Gold: 0|0|0|2|4|5|0G, but she reduced it to '10' (0|0|0|0|0|1|0). "For now, don't bother taking any out and just hit the 'X' on the right hand side. If you planned on taking the Gold out, however, you'd need to hit the 'O'." After explaining so, Riles pressed the O on her own display, causing 10G to materialize in front of her. She simply grabbed the small pouch of gold coins and shook it in place, making a light jingling noise.


"This is how gold seems to appear. As for why it appears in pouches, what happens with the pouches over time, and how they appear without any cost... I wouldn't think too hard about it. It's just one of those things, you know?" Riles shrugged her shoulders after saying so. Of course, even after saying so, Riles planned on testing such things in the inn. She wanted to know what would happen if she left a pouch of money out for a while, and what would happen if she left an empty pouch out as well... But given the fact that she could do that on her own, she didn't bother mentioning it. "To put the Gold away... You should only need to put it in your inventory..." Riles was talking more to herself than Kishune as she said so, and navigated her menu, throwing the gold into her inventory. As expected, the gold was added back into the Money-bar, returning the number to 2,450.


"Alright." Riles nodded to herself and looked back at Kishune. "Now we can go."


After saying so, Riles waited for the young Kitsune to ready himself again, and headed in the direction of the Inn. They'd arrive in only moments.

Kishune stopped and looked at her with a raised eyebrow as she said he was eager and pointed at him. He didn’t understand what she was talking about, and how her being a girl meant anything. When she cleared her throat in her hand and said the lesson wasn’t done. He turned to face her to show she had his attention. Her acting like a teacher was a bit surprising to him as she acted all jokingly for the most part since before they entered the game. Like everything was fun and games to her, but here she was actually taking this seriously…well as far as she could take it.


As she explained about pulling out money he opened up his menu again and reached out to the money icon to select it. A counter bar then appeared taking over the Menu as she explained how it looked to clarify to him. He nodded as she explained further he went through the numbers and tried to withdraw more than he had but the digits past 10k wouldn’t go up past 0. He was tempted to take some out to see how it was done, but as she instructed, he closed it out and just watched her as a small bag of gold materialized in her hands. He nodded as she told him not to think so much about what happens to the pouches and such. He then watched her as she seemingly placed it in her menu and it disappeared from her hand. He nodded at this before following her again to the Inn again, which wasn’t too far off.

After only a minute or so of walking straight, Riles and Kishune arrived at a small clearing. If they were to head right, there were more alleys to wander through; it was the same with heading straight. Upon turning left, however, they would find a slightly-run-down Inn -- which is to say, an inn in quite good condition for one located in the middle of a maze of alleys. The closer the two got to the building, the more noise could be made out from its direction. It wasn't exactly comparable to the noise one might have faced in the Town Square at high-noon, so perhaps 'Moderate Volume' would be an adequate description.


Above the doors of the building a sign read "Lilith's Belt", with the silhouette of a curvaceous woman under the moonlight acting as an icon for the sign. Chuckling to herself, Riles looked to the Kitsune beside her. "Ready?" she asked before waiting about a tenth of a second before continuing. "Good! Then, let's go!"


Riles interlocked her arm with Kishune's before practically dragging him towards the door, which she grinned at before kicking open with a light *paan*. For a moment, and only a moment, the noise within lowered by a notch, thus allowing the pair to take a look at the interior in relative peace.


The room was long, probably about 13m long, with ~6m of width, making it a bit spacious.((If it helps, 13x6m are the dimensions of this pool))


On the left side of the building were tables, with the two on the edges being booths and the middle one being a classic circular table. On the right of the building was a bar which extended along the entirety of the wall. On the interior side of the bar were stools, which were set along its entire length with the exception of a space close to the door, which had about 2m of empty space in front of it. Keys could be seen set upon the wall in that particular area, meaning that that was the most likely place to sign out a room.


As for the inhabitants of 'Lilith's Belt', there seemed to be 6 customers and 3 employees. 4 of the customers were occupying one of the booths, closest to the door. Three of them were Male Humans wearing metal armor, but the final one seemed to be a Female Elf judging by her elongated ears. They'd look like the ideal adventurers... If not for the fact that two of the humans were passed out on top of each other, and the other two seemed to be in the middle of a heated drinking bout, shouting curses at each other with red faces.


The remaining 2 customers were spread out. One was a hooded figure sitting at the bar, who gave off a slight expression of shock after seeing Riles and Kishune enter -- especially Kishune, who his eyes seemed to be locked onto. The other seemed to be some sort of reptilian man who was drinking alone at the circular table with a sullen atmosphere about him.


Two of the employees were behind the desk: one near the door (likely to rent out rooms), and one at the bar, cleaning a glass cup (undoubtedly the bartender). Both of them seemed to be female humans of young age, with matching brown hair, one with it grown out, and one with it cut short. The final employee was an elder gentleman with short, slicked back white hair and a clean-cut, masculine face, with wrinkles spread across his visage. He was running back and forth between the bar and the two 'Adventurers' constantly refilling their cups.


"Well, other than the employees being in the wrong spots, this seems about right." After making her comment about how the 'classy old man' is usually the one behind the bar, Riles headed towards the counter as if she owned the place, pulling Kishune's arm against her chest to make sure he was walking in line. "A room for two!" she said enthusiastically to the woman behind the counter. The short-brown-haired girl seemed unphased by their appearances and nodded with a smile before taking a key from behind her and looking to Kishune and speaking up to be heard over the drunken argument in the background.

Kishune walked with Riles as they headed to the place she has been leading them to. When they arrived, He looked up at the old looking inn as they drew closer. Sounds of people could be heard, and they kind of sounded familiar. ‘Sigh…looks like I’m not escaping this, even here…’ He said to himself as he walked with Rile to the entrance. He then looked at the sign above the door with a raised eyebrow. “Lilith’s belt…?” He said out loud as he still wasn’t making the connections that been blatantly laid out before him. He then looked to Riles as she asked if he was ready. He nodded, being the only response before she took his arm and practically dragged him in the Inn.


Riles kicked the door open, getting most the attention inside on them as they entered. The interior was like a bar lay out and Kishune sighed at this. “Of course there be a thing like this here…” He said out loud as he looked around the place. Closest to them were four at a table, two were passed out as other two seemed to having a drinking challenge and arguing about working as guards or something. They were very under the influence, which made Kishune sigh again. The other customers were a hooded figure at the bar and a lizard-man sitting alone as he seemed down about something. The rest were employees in uniform, with two females and a old looking male. The male was working the tables as the other two worked bar and what seemed to be the check in desk.


Kishune glanced at Riles from under his mask as she commented about the employees being in the wrong positions. He shook his head and looked back at them. “No, you’re wrong…Their playing the right rolls.” He told her. Kishune remembered when he was being taken home from the hospital by his father; they stopped at a bar and were there through the night as his father passed out drunk there. The setup was similar, besides a inn desk; there was a female bartender, and a old man waiter who seemed familiar to the older patrons. This all brought back bad memories for Kishune, but he was pulled out of them when Riles had his arm pulled and pressed into her chest to the Inn’s desk. He blushed a bit under the mask as she did this.


When Riles asked for a room for two the woman turned to grab a key from the set of hooks behind her. “Would you like an hour st-” The woman started then suddenly stopped as If she was glitching out. She then turned to face them and offered the key like nothing happened. “It’s 500G a night.” She said with a smile. Kishune was a bit weirded out by that and looked at the woman with a raised eyebrow. He then opened up his menu and paid the NPC before accepting the key. “Your rooms on the second floor.” She informed them. “Thank~…” He said then walked with Riles to their room. “Ok…Now that was weird…” He told her in a whisper as they walked away.

Slightly parting from Kishune as they ascended the stairs, Riles nodded at his comment on the receptionist's glitch-like behavior. "Well, finding stuff like that is good for us Testers, though." Riles grinned and looked up at the muscular Kitsune. "It's our job, after all."


After arriving at the second floor, Riles could easily hear the sound of springs from beds, along with certain other noises (including



), but they died down one after another as if someone was shutting down a series of light switches. "Looks like we'll have to file a couple of bug reports..." Riles muttered mostly to herself as the pair approached their assigned room. Once they arrived, Riles looked up at Kishune and spoke with a pensive tone, "On that note... You do know what Beta Testers like us are supposed to do, right?" The imp raised an eyebrow, her small wings folding slightly as she asked. Internally, she was hoping that he'd know at least that much before they entered their room, but... She had the feeling that his answer wouldn't be a simple 'Yes'.

As they walked up stairs, Kishune looked at Riles as she mentioned finding stuff like that was good for them. He nodded not exactly knowing what she meant but went along with it. Hearing the sound on the second floor, Kishune raised an eyebrow at them as they seemed to go out one after another as they went through the halls. When they reached their room, Kishune was about to open the door before Riled asked him what their job was. ‘Uh…’ He thought back to what all she said about what they had to do. “We find stuff like back there, and report it?” He said sounding confident as he said that but he wasn’t certain about it though. “So Yes.” He told her to skip over it for now.

Sure enough, Akumada was right. The pain soon faded away along with the teeth marks on his arm. Yafang felt relief sweep over him as he stood up and noticed the new person. When she made mention of a tournament, Yafang looked over at her with a look of interest on his face. But once she said she wanted to see if they were NPCs, a look of disappointment fell onto his face. When she asked if they were heading anywhere, Yafang grinned as he put on his best medieval tone. "Wherever the winds decides to take us on our voyage. There will be gain and loss, but eventually we shall all gain wealth and fame." Yafang said with a smile plastered on his face. It was then Yafang decided to check his inventory, flipping through all his stats and items. It would appear that he had yet to level up. Just a little more and Yafang would reach the next level. One the bright side, he picked up some "junk" items that he could sell to make some more coin. He looked closely and noticed that they were goblin fangs which immediately made Yafang reach over and touch his shoulder. It didn't look like they'd sell for much, but something's always better than nothing. He closed down his menu as he looked at both Akumada and Vricesia as he asked,"Have either of you leveled up? I'm a few points away, but I think you guys got more than I did."
