Futuristic Galactic Empires

[/sigmaterian Emperor\]

Zabuza waited patiently for the U.G.F. president to stop speaking, as he did his best to not seem like he was going to interrupt him. After moments of silence only then did the Sigmaterian Emperor speak.

"You're well informed, Mr. President. With an issue of this national crisis for your people, I'm not surprised. However as I clearly noticed, U.G.F. news only began to watch the conflict unfold much later into the fight as you clearly missed the beginning. And in these technological advanced days, it's not always safe to believe all you hear and see.

Yes a U.G.F. civilian ships was attacked while traveling close to Sigmaterian space, yes there has been reports of multiple ships being attacked that try to move by Sigmaterian space. Yes the ship sent out a transmission, and yes I'm sure the one you heard claimed that Sigma was responsible. However, if you'll allow me, I think it's time I show you the real transmission and live footage of what truly happened."

As the Sigmaterian Emperor said this the U.G.F. transmission began to play once more, however it was slightly different this time. At the same time video was playing of how events began with the attacking of the civilian ship.

"Mayday, Mayday, this is Captain Amders of the galactic space line. Unknown vessels have fired on our ships. I repeat, Unknown vessels have fired at our ship disabling our engines. There are 203 passengers including crew members. There are 90 children, 13 of them still under the age of 2. Please send military aid. I will repeat again, please send military aid. Sigmaterian ships are attempting to fight off the unknown ships for our rescue."

As it played it was seen that Dominion ships arrived out of nowhere, attacking the civilian ship. The Sigmaterian Patrol fleet of that galaxy then immediately opened wormholes to the location, opening communications and pleading that the conflict stop. When the Dominion refused, Sigma opened fire on the Dominion ships in an attempt to save the ship.

"We did our best to fight off the Unknown ships and save your U.G.F. ship. We hadn't known that during the fighting the unknown ships had teleported the crew aboard their ships as hostages. For a long time now these unknown ships have been attacking ships passing by in our galaxies and changing the distress calls and video footage to make it look like we've been attacking them."

The Sigmaterian Emperor paused, looking as if actually sadness had overtaken him.

"When the ships from the other two empires arrived, I think they both received the changed distress call and thought Sigmaterian ships were attacking the U.G.F. ship. We tried to open communications and plead with them that they were being played by the unknown ships. I am immensely sorry for your people, but Mr. President, you have been fooled by these unknown ships about what has happened here today.

[\UGF/]

"You think I'm going to believe your bullshit?" Norian asked crossing his arms. Norian turned away trying to hold in his laughter.

"I've done some research. And I know full well that your nation does not have the heart to care for anyone else's lives. You're just like the civilization that tried to sacrifice our race for their god. No remorse, no respect, no warning. Do you even have the decency to at least send out a warning to them?"

"Do you know how many generals are going to demand sanctions against your country? DO you know how many generals will demand a full scale blockade of Sigmatron? Stop lying to me. Because that just deteriorates your nation more."

"Let this be a warning to you. You think you can somehow destroy and kill 203 people and get away with it? Well welcome to reality my friend. If you think I will not take action, you are partially right. Because this is the only and final warning to you and your nation. If another UGF ship is either destroyed, or taken to become slaves. I will make sure, every planet under your control burns. And you will watch, as our armies march across, killing every sigmatarian regardless of their age or gender. As we raise our flags in your fallen cities, re-liberating people that you have enslaved. If you touch even one Centrion, I will never forgive you. You underestimate us. I'll tell you this, you just startled the sleeping giant."

Norian stood up again. "That's all I have to say."

(Metagaming sort of ruins some fun when your character instantly sees through any and all lies)

[/sigmaterian Emperor\]

"That's some very intriguing research you've done, seeing as I doubt there is much of any information out there regarding Sigma. We've always kept our history to ourselves, and there is little out their known about us. But anger and revenge has overtaken you Mr. President, and you're ready to please your public by focusing on the scapegoat the unknown ships are making Sigma out to be.

I understand this, so I'll leave you be as you have nothing else to say and there is nothing else I could do to try and convince you my empire has been set up."

[\UGF/]

"When I said research, I meant claims from other nations and our own experiences with you if you can recall." Norian said. "And I might be angry, but I am not wanting revenge like the rest of the centrion population does."

"Don't you dare touch a UGF ship ever again." Norian said ending the communications.

"Mr. President." A man wearing a suit came inside the office. "You have one hour until you are expected to make a speech to the entire nation."

~Dominion~

The Dominion continues to map Sigmaterian borders. Utilizing swarms of extremely fast drones each equipped to block wormholes in a large radius around themselves. Apparently failure does not deter them when their losses are negligible.

With no active conflicts going on other than the mapping of the Sigmaterian empire, the Dominion reverts to nomadic travelling across the stars, their quest for knowledge never ending.

Tarus spoke to the dominion " may I request an exchange in technology?" He said as he looked at their ships from his command room. He hoped with their energy generators he could find more ways to benefit his people.

The single ship left behind had begun restructure itself, becoming an immobile structure that at the moment was more or less a massive reactor and communications array, as it rapidly converted its self sustaining energy reaction into matter that it used to expand itself. As it did so it responded to Tarus.

"Given the circumstances of this new enemy, It is in our collective interest to share. What exactly do you desire?"

Tarus looked at the structure" we grow and survive of of energy. With the energy we have know we need to consume biomass to grow larger ships such as the animus class which is the size of a large Gass giant. With more advanced energy we would no longer need to consume matter. Our ships can mature much faster, and my race would be most grateful. What may I ask could we offer in return?" He said as he sat in his chair.

~Dominion~

"If we were allowed to observe the process of maturation into a class such as the Animus in great detail. It would aid us greatly. As a sign of good faith however..."

The newly made and expanding station made room a for a small docking port. Where a rather sizable container was deposited. This container was made to exacting specifications to hold and stabilize the hyper unstable compound that served to kick start the self sustaining energy reaction the Dominion used in their more powerful reactors. As Tarus would soon find out, this compound seemed to have no right to exist under the observed laws of how the universe worked. How the Dominion managed to create this compound was a mystery.

Tarus bowed his head" very well their is a large shell the size of the animus just close enough to the sun to absorbe direct energy from the sun." He said as he moved the flag ship matriarch to the shell. It was covered in titanium scales looking like a armored Venus fly trap head. Behind it was attached a large tendril which split into four connecting to planet sized spheres organic in appearence. Once close he spoke again while a heavy carrier was sent to the station to receive when given the new energy reactor. He looked at the large animus sized structure" this is the cacoon in which a capital ship is placed." He said as the shell opened up a capital ship flying into it. Once inside several tendrils sprouted from the inner walls of the shell along with a large one coming from the back central point. They attached to the capital ship forming a large embryonic sack. It pulsed orange periodicly" Once this is formned and the ship attached energy, and biomass are fed to the ship via fluid inside rich in what our organic ships require to grow and mature. " He said as the shell closed. Tarus looked at the station" estimated time is approximately 1 week for maturation if given enough reasources. The shell provides protection from any attack or harmfull influences such as a asteroid collision, etc. However I be leave with a powerful enough energy source directly feeding the ship this process would not be required a ship could mature in space with ought bio mass or matter of any kind." He said as he stood up.

"We were hoping for more technical readings." The voice said gently.

By now the station seemed to have expanded to it's maximum size, the basic exterior frame complete and the various sub-systems filling out the interior. The rate of construction was amazing, especially considering the Dominions primarily nomadic existence and little experience with structures other than Sanctums.

Tarus closed his eyes as a psionic link was formned with the stations Ai core. All day relating to the animus ship class was downloaded to it. He opened his eyes" if you wish to deploy sensors yourself your more then welcome too." He said.

Luthar contemplated what to do next. He had just been elected as CEO less than a week ago. He thought back to his rise through the ranks in Monroe Industries, never imagining that he would become a major share holder let alone the CEO. The CEO had a lot of responsibility. He had to govern the Empire and still keep profit margins up for the company or he would be voted out. Already the stress was getting to him. Thought he was very clean and proper, behind it all, you could see the 5 o'clock shadow, and the bags under his eyes. Yet Luthar also thought about all the good he has done in the past week. Profits are up by 2.875% and with the new communications research, company ships have been sent out to deploy small comm stations. In his short time in office, he has done more than most have in their life.

Having signed off on a new bill that banned any private company (Excluding Monroe Industries) from using Qusion, therefore forcing them to buy from Monroe Industries, secured him at least a o.32% profit increase. Luthar was very pleased with himself, having reshaped Monroe Industries with more funding towards their Weapons Division, he hoped a new discovery could lead Monroe Industries into the #1 weapons manufacturer in the universe.

On an undisclosed Sigmaterian Mining planet...

Zachery Moscow woke up, his body already adapted to the same daily schedule he followed each day. While he had only been assimilated months ago, it already felt as if years had passed by. Him, as well as many others of the smarter D-class personnel, woke up as soon as the star was rising on their planet. This way they could hopefully meet their daily quota of mining before the day was at it's hottest.

Before he could begin to work, he had to take the required chemical shower taken both before mining and after. He faintly remembered just how much it had hurt when he was first assimilated, and now his body doesn't even flinch as it no longer even registers it as pain. As Zachery Moscow didn't weigh that much, and Sigmaterian Energy Crystals weren't exactly light, it didn't take him long to mine his weight in Sigmaterian Energy Crystals.

Then he did something most did not, he went around spending a rather large rest of his day helping the children, the women, the weak, and the injured that could not easily meet the quota themselves. He helped regardless of species, no matter how non-human they may of looked, and he made himself many friends that owed him large favors doing so.

Zachery Moscow's favorite pass-time however, was listening to the stories of others. He was absolutely astounded when other D-class Personnel would speak of their home worlds, cultures, species, and how they would speak so fondly of how everything was before. However his favorite questions and stories to listen to was always the horror stories of when the Sigmaterians finally came. He asked in detail of how the Sigmaterians went about it, and with the large variety of personnel, he began to learn so much...

Another key characteristic of Zachery Moscow was that he had a perfect photographic memory, and he remembered every story he ever heard told to him about Sigma...

As Tarus linked with the AI Core, he could vaguely feel the link binding it to the millions, if not billions of other AIs that collectively composed the Dominion. The data he shared went out immediately to the rest of the Dominion, thereby preserving it for eons to come.

"Your data will be sufficient." The station replied. Already it was at work to produce the compounds necessary for creating a Dominion reactor. To be shared with the Revenant as soon as they were stabilized.

Tarus bowed his head as several ships entered hyperspace to aquire new territory. The revanent had already expanded into half of the current galaxy they resided in, and still moving forwerd.

"Or, if you wish to come immediately, we will guide your ships into our territory." The Senator said.

@Gilzar

[\UGF/]

"Who are these vaulters?" One of the first officers asked that Admiral.

"I don't know. But our deep space reconnaissance AI and satellites and scanners have picked up a new civilization on another galaxy. We're guessing that these vaulters are the ones that occupy this galaxy." The Admiral replied scrolling down the missions sheet on his glass tablet.

"We are to patrol the nixon sector of the outer territory borders. It's just a routine patrol. Prep all ships of the 400th fleet for take off."

[bianca]

Despite all that had went down, Bianca had successfully reached the Sigmaterian Bounty Haven. Sighing in relief, she landed and docked her ship. Directly afterwards, the assassin hastily changed into her armor, before making her way into the Haven.

Shala

Shala got up, and Brutus and Hawke came out. "We are ready to depart now. My advisors will take over while I am gone."

Shala then says a few orders in Gradian, and armed guards, and Hawke and Brutus come next to her. "We shall follow you."

[\500th battle fleet./]

"Then it is settled." Teinamen said.

The Marines ans elite troopers all got into formation ans they began to escort all negotiators and senators and Shala and her representatives to the flagship of the UGF's 500th battle fleet.

I want all ships ready for take off. Get all vehicles secure, and get all crew and deck personnel to get ready." The Admiral said through his phone to his first officers.

500th Battle fleet

Hawke, Brutus, and Shala all got situated. They had no iea of how long of a ride this would be, so they seated themselves where they could.

[\500th battle fleet./]

The Admiral brought them to the bridge of the ship. There he stood at the centre where his first officers were staggered waiting for his orders.

As he approached, they saluted. "Admiral, All ships have disengaged and are ready for take off." One of the first officers said.

"Good. Tell all ships to boost their engines to maximum." The Admiral said. One of the first officers saluted and walked off.

The room was very orderly and all the crew and troops were disciplined.

"All weapon systems are green."

"All cargo doors are sealed shut. Commencing compression of the engines and the outer hulls."

Shala

Shala simply stared around at the strange technology. This was indeed an intriguing ship, as she never had really seen foreign space ships before.

Brutus

Brutus just sat there, reading Scripture.

Hawke

Hawke laid back, he slept. Nothing about foreign technology or scripture for that matter really fascinated him. But his dreams did, so why not chase after them a bit?

[\500th battle fleet./]

The took off from the planet as they were escorted out of the border. Soon all ships began shock point as they headed for the capital city of the UGF.

What should have been a trip that would have taken weeks lasted merely 20 hours and 4 minutes. It's almost been a day since they took off for the Centrion's home world. Soon, they arrived as they came out of shock point and into UGF's territory once more.

After several hours more, they finally reached the capital planet of the UGF. The metal blinds opened up as it revealed a massive blue and green planet. There was a massive defense ring around the planet and hundreds of defense platforms and military vessels patrolling the solar system.

Two moon sized seraine-class vessels soon came to accompany the fleet. <p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_11/57a8c0c232f54_serineclass.jpg.cce172870e84a0c740d47bb2aa11ecc7.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="33988" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_11/57a8c0c232f54_serineclass.jpg.cce172870e84a0c740d47bb2aa11ecc7.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

The Admiral after one hour of talking came back to the group of senators including shala and her representatives. "There seems to be a problem on the surface. We are ordered to dock in a military base several miles away from Serlana." The admiral said going back to the main are of the bridge one floor down.
