Emeli heard a voice behind her that she didn't recognize. She turned around and to her surprise, it was her roommate, Amy. Emeli teased, "She does have a voice!" Emeli smiled and waved, motioning for Amy to join her side. "So, what's that you've been messing with on your laptop?" Emeli asked, having seen Amy work every day on it, though it didn't really seem like school work.

Emeli couldn't believe she walking next to Amy. She tried hard not to blush, though she did anyways. At least she wasn't tripping over her words like a moron, like earlier at lunch with her friends. Nope, I like boys, definitely like boys. That boy Drake in her calculus class was pretty hot, wasn't he? Emeli was always fighting a war in her head, trying to change for her family. None of her friends knew she was gay, and with her family's reaction, they never will if she has anything to do about it.

Amy giggles a little, forgetting that she had never spoken to Emeli. "Yeah, well, I'm not the most comfortable around new people. And I've just been doing a little side project to earn a little money," She said. Hopefully she doesn't ask who the project is for. Amy thinks, blushing a little as she thinks it. As they reach the front door, Amy holds open the door for Emeli.

With the chance to talk prevalent Emeli said, as Amy was opening the door, "Well, no worries from me, I'm a good roommate. I'll give you your space when you need it, and be your best friend when you don't, and I never hold parties either." Emeli stepped into the room, placing her bags on her bed, settling in and getting ready for her next activity. "I had a roomie once, she always had friends over, it was horrible haha!" Emeli joked. She didn't inquire further about the project, she's learned if people wanted to talk about things, they would. Though she also sometimes people needed a push, but she didn't think this was one of them. Emeli was gathering supplies because she was going to go to the library a day study shortly before going to dinner, asking Amy if she wanted to join her.

Amy smiled and listened, nodding at certain parts. After Emeli entered, so did Amy, quickly grabbing her stuff. "Well, I'm heading to the workshop, so no thanks," Amy said with a bright smile. She then walked out the door and closed it behind her.

Emeli had been studying for a while now and she was beginning to get hungry. The sun was already set and the night was beginning to grow darker. Emeli decided to text Amy, asking if she wanted to get dinner together. Emeli sat there, playing with her thumbs while she waited for a reply.

Amy was working with a blowtorch when the text came. When her phone lit up, she barely saw it out of the corner of her eye. She lifted her mask and read the text, smiling a little. "Yeah, sure, why not?" She replies. Amy grabs her extra supplies and put it is her bag. She rushed out the door and headed to the dorm to change and clean up a little.

Emeli practically jumped out of her seat before quickly sitting back down, hoping no one saw her act like a fool. She was about to head out the door before asking where Amy wanted to go. So Emeli sent Amy a quick text asking before she left. Emeli walked back towards the dorms, sending another text saying they could take her car. She didn't have anything fancy, just an old yellow jeep she got as a gift from one of her friends. During their sweet sixteen, their parents had gotten her a new car, lucky her. Still, a free car is nice.

Emeli turned the corner to her hall and saw Amy as she was walking into the room halfway down the hall. She didn't immediately see Amy when she walked in. Figuring she was in the bathroom or closet or such, Emeli placed her bags neatly on her bed, keeping her essentials in a small, light blue hand bag. Emeli sat on her bed and waited for Amy to reappear from wherever she was.

As Emeli walked in, Any was in the restroom, quickly washing her face an changing her clothes. A few minutes later, Amy stepped out of the bathroom and saw Emeli out of the corner of her eye.

"Hey," She said, smiling, "Ready?"

Emeli looked up as Amy spoke. With a big goofy grin she replied, "I sure am!" Emeli stood up and put her bag around her shoulder before heading out with Amy. Emeli mentioned she was parked in the back parking lot, so she headed that way. As she walked she asked Amy questions, just a little chit chat. "What's your major? Classes? Favorite color?" They were making their way to the parking lot and Emeli was enjoying her time with Amy.

"My major is Material Engineering, I have Digital Design, Engineering, and normal Design. And my favorite color is blue. You?" I ask, smiling. Why would she ask that last random question? Amy thinks to herself.

Emeli giggles and steps out in front of Amy, waving her bag around, "Like this blue?" Emeli returns her answers as they make their way to her jeep. "My major is in general science, I know, super need, but I wanna be a scientist! And I've finished all my core classes, so it's just a bunch of electives. Theology, geology, some digital photo thing, and even an entomology class! My favorite color is the best color, it's orange!" Emeli had reached her yellow jeep as she finished her answers, giving a little twirl to accentuate how awesome orange was before unlocking the doors. As she sat in the driver's seat she remembered to ask, "Oh yeah! Where do you wanna eat Amy?" Emeli turned the key in the ignition after putting on her seat belt, preparing to back out of her spot.

Amy shrugs. "I don't really know many good places to et around here, I don't really get out much," She says, blushing a little in embarrassment, "Oh, and also, with a blue bag and a yellow jeep, I never would have guessed orange." She give off a small giggle at her last comment.

(I'm writing this assuming you got in the car? If not, I wouldn't mind rewriting it <3)

Emeli made a frowning face jokingly as she said, "my bag and car aren't orange 'cuz I'm poor and I ain't got no monies. These were gifts from my friends." Emeli laughed afterwards. "I know just the perfect place! Are there any foods you won't eat?" Emeli took a turn onto the main road, heading towards her special surprise.

"No, I'll eat just about anything," Amy says, giggling a little at the silly response to the color comment. She quickly buckled up and looked back at Emeli. "So where is this place we are going?" Amy asks, slightly tilting her head.

Emeli chuckled her evil chuckle. "You'll never know!" She chuckled again, "because it's a secret! And no worries about the price, 'cuz it's on me! Mwahahahahaha!" One final evil chuckle to seal the deal.

Luckily the place she was going was only a few minutes drive from here. The place was called Under The Sea, and it was the nicest place around. Luckily, it was also free, at least for Emeli. The owner was robbed once, a couple of years ago. Emeli's friends had taken her here for her birthday. The robber had a gun and ended up shooting the owner. His wife was there freaking out, and the police were just called. Using a few first aid tricks Emeli knew, her quick thinking literally saved his life. Since then, the owner has offered her free food for her and all guests for life, mostly because his wife forces him into the offer.

Under the Sea was a seafood restaurant, cleverly named. Though the name is actually referencing the building. It's a huge dome shaped building, completely see-through. The glass is reinforced and is completely filled with water. There is so much water that they have two actual wrecked ships they had shipped in. Emeli loves telling that fact because of the pun. They also have more species of fish than all but the few largest aquariums on Earth. Normally a single person can easily cost several hundred dollars, but the food is always worth it, let alone the view. As Emeli pulled up she turned to Amy to see her reaction. You didn't have to know the place to know it was fancy, you CA see through the whole thing. Luckily the as is thick and reinforced, not even a tank could run through it. That was actually one of their marketing videos, they drove a tank at full speed into it and only scratched it. The scratch is no longer there though, because people might panic if they saw it.

Amy sat there, mesmerized by the amazing place that they were going to eat at. The thought racing through her mind were all over the place. Amy stayed still, mouth open, as if going to say something. Finally she did. "I thought you said you were poor?" Amy asked, looking over at Emeli.

Emeli laughed, banging her hand against her knee as she watched Amy's face. That's generally the reaction she got, and she always enjoyed it. Emeli opens her door and exits, bending over to peek into her car at Amy, "I eat here for free! So come on already!" Emeli skipped joyfully towards the entrance of the massive domed building, waiting there for Amy to catch up before announcing her arrival to the attendant inside.

Inside there were two sections. The floor is generally where everyone ate. The tables were thick and mostly just a big cube or cylinder, with a small indent for some great room. The tables were directly connected to the floor and the surrounding water, allowing even the sharks they had to swim into the tables. Then there was the upper level, the V.I.P section. One of two curved staircases, each wrapping around one side of the restaurant, leads up to the V.I.P section. The stairs, along with the upper floor, are also connected to everything else, allowing the fish to swim where they please. The upper floor was very close to the top of the building, allowing easy view to one of either ship wreck, depending on which side you sat on, as well as a fancy chandelier above each table. This chandelier was, like everything else, connected to the water, and consequently, the fish. It was still a working elctrical chandelier using water proof, and shark proof cables, which were all clear so as to not take away from the setting. The lights were dull, for the outside lights shone through, casting a sort of dancing light show around the whole building. Lucky for Emeli, her free meals also come with free V.I.P seating.

Amy followed Emeli around, mesmerized. "It's even more beautiful on the inside!" Amy said, looking around, stunned. Amy had never been to a place nearly as fancy as this. Sense her parents were librarians, they didn't make much money, so they couldn't do stuff like this. But they had gone to a fancy place once, with the money that her father had saved from something that he had never told Amy about, but her grandparents eventually told her. Her father had saved a man when he was in the military, and that man'd family payed him a bit of money as thanks.

"This way Amy!" Emeli beckoned her friend up the stairs. Emeli always thought it was funny being the most underdressed person in the restaurant. Emeli's favorite spot was always the center table, which was the first thing she looked for when she made it to the top of the stairs. Eli was happy to see it was open, so she led Amy over there, where a waiter greeted them before they even sat down, motioning towards a drink menu and asking what they would like to drink. This place had it all, sodas, alcohol, milk shakes, juices, and even drinks that don't fit in other categories. Emeli always ordered chocolate milk simply because people gave her funny looks when she did. She motioned to the seat across from her, "Well, you gonna stand and eat?" Emeli looked down at her table to see what kind of fish she had today. There seems to be nothing of note right now, a couple of gold fish, a couple of blue and green ones, but the meal only just began.

Amy slowly sits down, still looking around, dazed. She looks at the table and smiles, amazed. "Wow," She whispers. She look at Emeli and smiles. "Thanks," She says. Any adjusts her glasses and continues to look around.

The waiter was waiting while the girls decided what they want. Emeli didn't bother with the menu, she almost always gets the same thing. A grilled cheese sandwich with anchovies. An item they don't even have on the menu, just because she knows she can. She smiled at the waiter as he gave a nod in agreement. Emeli sat there and smiled at Amy, who was still in amazement, until she ordered. "So, what do you think of this place?"

"I think you know," Amy said, giggling a little. She had never seen a place nearly as beautiful as this. The fanciest seafood place she had been to is Red Lobster. "Just a random question, but do you have a boyfriend?" Amy asked, just wondering.

The question caught Emeli off guard. Why was she asking? Was she gay too? What if she was asking if I was available? Nah, it's probably just girl talk, right? Emeli gave a nervous chuckle, "Eh, no, not really, most guys don't like anchovies." Emeli was referencing the fact that she ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with anchovies, meaning she was weird and a bit out there. Not that she didn't have many friends, or she wasn't likeable, but just that most people tend to be uncomfortable around her when she gets comfortable around other people. Emeli didn't expect Amy to understand her reference, the sandwich hadn't even come out, and even then, it's not a direct and simple reference. Turning the subject around, Emeli returned the question with a big smile.

"I thought that you would have one, because you're beautiful, smart, and kind," She said, looking down and blushing. Why did I say that? She thinks. Soon the food gets here and Amy starts eating.

Emeli blushes and laughs, "You're not too bad lookin' yourself." Emeli points her hands at Amy, imitating two guns going off, making clicking noises to follow the fake gun shots. Emeli laughs as she does this, glad to hear that Amy at least likes the way she looks. With a more serious face Emeli says, "Well, I dunno, I'm always busy I guess. Track, tutoring, volunteering and studying seem to take up all of my time." Emeli takes a bite out of her special sandwich when it arrives, she always wondered why people didn't like anchovies.
