"No." He said. "Kind of. I'm more excited to learn how to defend against the dark arts. I've practiced a lot of combat spells already."

"You were allowed to pratice those types of spells back home?" She asked

"I found a spot where no one would see me. And with the underage wizardry statutes mostly lifted so long as no muggles were around I was completely fine to do so." He said.

Emily was amazed he was able to practice such spells, but what peeked her curiosity was the mentioned of muggles. "You live amongst muggles?" She asked

He nodded. "Me mum and dad thought it was important for me to know about the muggle world." He said. "Know how it works and the like. So they made sure that I'd end up at a muggle orphanage if they died."

That sounded like a horrible punishment to Emily, why would his parents want him to end up in such an orphanage. No wonder he got in so many fights, she thought with all those muggles around. "Why would you need to know how muggle things work?" She asked

Emily nodded although she knew she would never be allowed to set foot in the muggle world on her own. Aside form quickly passing through she never partake in a thing muggle related. It was just not done. "Friends?...im not sure are we?" She asked unsure as well

They sat down. Harry came from his office. "Good morning students. You all know who I am I suspect." He said walking to the front of the class. "Harry Potter. I'm likely to be here only one year. If you believe the stories that this class is cursed." He said. "Now my lessons will all be controlled but practical so make sure your wands are ready yeah?"

"Alright." Harry said. "This term I will be teaching you basic spells to protect you against different creatures. Although for two of you." He eyes Emily and Earl. "Professor Flitwick has requested that me and other teachers go a bit harder." He told everyone the basics of the knock back jinx Flipendo before he took the other two into a Seperate room. "Alright. I'll teach you something different if you can cast the jinx on the first try." Hw said. Earl smiled. "Easy." He took out his wand. "Uh... On what?" He asked. "On me." Harry said simply.

Emily wasn't very pleased with being singled out, and the thought of other teachers going a bit harder on them didn't sound too great to her. The brunette followed Herry and Earl to the separate room. Casting the knockback jinx would be easy, it was something she had done before. She pulled out her wand as she looked around wondering if they were going to cast it on to a dummy of sorts or a box. She was surprised to hear they would be casting it on their professor.

He noticed her expression. "Hey look at it this way. You're ahead of your whole year. Your parents would be pleased." He said. He pointed his wand at Harry. "Flipendo." A small white light shot from his wand and hit Harry pushing him back.

"Right...." she replied as he did have a point her father would be pleased to find out that she was ahead of others in her year. When it came to her turn Emily took her spot infront of Harry. "Flipendo" Casting the knockback jinx pushing Harry back as well

Harry stood up. "Alright. Very good. Brilliant actually, You two are definitely advances for first years." He said. "WHat are some dark creatures of defensive spells you're interested in?" He asked. "I need help with my patronus." Earl said. "You can cast a patronus already?" He asked. "No not yet. I can cast the spell alright but I haven't been able to produce a corporeal patronus." He said. "Alright." Harry said. "Well I hope you don't mind but I'll be asking you two for a lot of help demonstrating to your fellow students. Is that alright. If not it's okay I can demonstrate just fine on my own if need be." Harry said. Earl shrugged. "I'm happy to demonstrate. Any practice with spells is good practice for me." He said.
