All four had spent the whole time together enjoying each other's company. Even managing a tiny smirk of a smile from Alyssa. It was getting late and Josh was already slumped over on his chair having had a bit to much candy and was suffering from a sugar crash.
Alyssa had left. It was just Earl and Emily. He coughed some as he reached for his wall. "I think it will work this time." He said.
"what will work?" Emily asked confused and curious at the same time as he was reaching for his wand.
He pointed his wand thinking of the day. Friends. Companionship. Joy. "Expecto Patronum." He said the silver light shot from his wand and fully formed into a tiger.
Emily got up from her chair as the tiger Patronus appeared "Earl you did it!" she cheered you actually preformed the Patronus Charm
He broke the spell coughing a little from his fever but smiling all the same.
Emily's smile went away as he coughed "you should get some rest, Earl...you won't get any better if you don't" She said turning back to him. She heled up her wand and waved it picking up the rest of the items that were left behind by Josh and Alyssa. " cant leave a mess Madam Pomfrey won't let us in if we do....hope she will be okay with leaving the decorations and the pumpkin.." she added it made the room less gloomy. "well goodnight Earl, I should get going before Filch or Mrs. Norris start walking around"
"Wait." He gave her a hug all her own. "I know this was your idea. Thanks."
Emily stood suprised at first but returned the hug. "Your welcome...but how?" She asked wondering how he knew it had been her idea.
"You're the only one who would have thought this up you dumb Slytherin." he said still hugging her
"Oh....hey! Don't call me dumb..." she frowns letting go of the hug. was that obvious that I thought of this
"Sorry." He said still wiping tears from his eyes.
Emily lightly sighed "just go to bed, you need rest....you don't want to get more sick right" she said with a small smile
"Yeah I know." He said laying down. He looked over at the last wizard cracker. "One more?" He asked. "Please."
Emily looked over towards the wizard cracker and picked it up handing it over to Earl.
He pulled it own and out came an adorable little kitten
"Awww its adorable" Emily said looking at the tiny kitten
He pet the kitten. "Here you can have it." He said.
"Really!?.." she said picking up the tiny black cat "you sure you don't want her?"
"I have lucky.*
"Thats right....Thank you Earl" Emily said. She smiled at the kitten as she held her up to her. The kitten moved her face to sniff Emily booking its nose against hers causeing Emily to let out a giggle
He smiled and went to bed.
Emily walked out with the kitten in her arms as she made her way to her dorm
Thomas was waiting for her. "Mist FEEL great. Giving that parentless kid so much attention. His costumes were so lame. I can't believe people wore them.*
Emily groan as she heard Thomas voice. And the day had been so nice he comes here and ruin it. "Your just jealous Earl is way more creative then you will ever be. I don't care what you say everyone loved his costumes" she said turning her nose away from him.
