Fandom Fullmetal Alchemist

"I'm Aran Tierney. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to question this guy too. But you're not going to get anything by just whipping guns and knives out like a bunch of common criminals. Especially not from someone so prideful as to be in the military. There are times for action like that. But that's what makes most civilians better than military men. They don't go waving weapons around just because they didn't get their way. Besides, I need answers too. I'm not about to let you kill this guy before I get them," responded Aran with a little smile. She had called him lightning alchemist. Though that wasn't quite true, he couldn't do much else in terms of alchemy. Most of it was for self defense in his case. He still enjoyed the second name. In his village, his friends called him the Pureblood Alchemist to mock all the state alchemists.

Gus suddenly said "Enough... I don't care if you want me dead, or you want to escape. How about we just go next door, get some tea, coffie, the works.. and talk things over? From what i heard three out of four of you want some bloody answers, and i might as well help." He spoke calmly, and his expression seemed to twitch to a smile.

Riley listened to the conversation. Suddenly a thought hit him. Something he should've remembered long ago, but didn't. And they were here too. He looked down at his automail arm, and smiled. "Sorry gents, I just realized something. I'll see you someday." He dashed from the floor and exited through the main door. He shot off into the city, and left the alchemists behind.

Anthony started to walk towards the exit. "Military ain't never been worth my pride. Mmmmmh coffee." Anthony said but he had no real intention of sticking with Gus or the wool sock kid over there. He stepped outside and looked up before walking into the coffee shop next door. "Four more people are coming but for now could I get a small cup of joe?"

Aran nodded at the military man with a little respect. At least this guy was willing to talk. Perhaps not all military people were completely bad. "Alright, that settles it then. Let's grab some coffee and talk this over."

Ajax stared as Riley bolted out the door, and for a moment wondered why he would have left in such a hurry. Then Ajax stood and said to Michael, "Well, it would seem that he is trying to beat us to the lead. I suggest that we go, and hurry. It's not like we have much else to work off of." Ajax rose and then began to walk towards the door but then waved his hand in a way that screamed Lead the way.

Kerena sighed, saying, "You people assume that I pull out a knife to kill, not to defend. Let's go and get answers." She turned to walk out the door, sheathing her little dagger before stopping to wait for Tommy and the Alchemists.

Gus walked next door to the coffee shop, and bought some special imported tea, then sat down. He took a sip and said "Now, what do you want to know?"

"How you know about me obviously." Anthony said putting on his jacket. It was bloodstained and cut in multiple spots but he would never replace it. He had inherited the jacket when his father had died but of course none of that mattered now. He gave a sigh before looking at Gus. "I also want to know why you stopped us?"

"I know about you because i read files.." Gus started, "You see, the military records everything and goes into everything, its a way of blackmail to make sure they are in power even more.. i abuse the fact and read about people around the ishbal event... i accidentally read to around 3 years before and after in the time frame because i got so into it... also i stopped you because someone lifted up a gun, the public saw it... and then i knew who you were..."

Kerena just grumbled, sitting down, since she had no money left. "How does the State know I'm alive? I hardly use my real name and haven't encountered anyone important enough to regonize me." She began to gently rub her hands together, a bit of a thinking habit.

Gus put his hands together, and simply said "The state knows your alive because we don't burn buildings, and the fighting was generally between us and the Ishbalans, which meant someone must of burned it, and some foreigners, namely the people who name their land opposite of what they are, tend to do that with boats. Also, you were marked, one of our spies saw you near by..." He taps his hands together, before taking a sip of his tea. He looked at Kerena, "Also you responded when i talked about it, another hint. Anyways, would you like a drink?"

"Let's cut the cr*p. What do you want?" Anthony asked his voice showing a lot of professionalism and annoyance.

Gus sighed and said "I simply make sure people are not murdering people... a gun is the precursor to death no? Plus i am simply here to give you the answers you wanted... you came here of your free will to trust me... might as well give you a fair chance right?"

"With state alchemists nothing's fair just look at the use of those fake stones in the Ishbalan conflict. Those people never stood a chance." Anthony hadn't liked the way this guy had said fair chance. He set his handgun on his lap under a napkin. "Guns have many uses so not always most are a sign of desperation. Now if you don't mind I have a lot of unfinished business to attend to." He placed the gun in his pocket and got up to walk away.

Aran was getting annoyed. Though he didn't care for the military, the people weren't giving him much chance to explain himself. They were on full assault mode, and the soldier wasn't taking it seriously. Overall, the situation wasn't working out very well. "Alright, everybody. This is obviously not working. Ask one question at a time, and then the soldier here will answer them to the best of his ability. I know you don't like the military, but at least give them a chance to properly explain themselves."

Kerena shook her head no. "I don't need a drink. I also don't need to be conversing with some Dog of the Military, yet here I am." It was giving her the creeps to be talking to him. "I think this guy is right though. One at a time?"

Aran nodded at the girl thankfully. It was relaxing to know somebody else here was reasonable. He desperately needed information on his sister, anything that would give him a lead. Yet nothing was going to get done if everyone kept fighting. Thus, he would wait his turn. Perhaps by listening in, he could learn why Drachma had attacked his village.

Aran wanted to ask his, but he knew people would just start fighting again, so he refrained for a moment, giving the others a chance to respond.

"I've got places to be and family to avenge." Anthony said walking out of the cafe. He started walking down the sidewalk.

"Alright then. I'd like to know where to get the information on incoming refugees. My sister and I got separated and I need to find her. Last I heard, the Drachma advance was going in her direction. I'd just like to know that she's safe. That shouldn't be too hard for you."

Gus looked at him, then laughed into the air. He then tapped his mechanical eye saying "In here... and in the library.... give me her name and i should probably find her within a minute..."
