Welcome to the tutorial, Handler.Let's get started with the basics, shall we? It'll be important for your future endeavors. Tap on the buttons above to get started.
- 「 INTRO 」Your group as been on an expedition for nearly a year. Much of that time was spent exploring Eiselcross, knowns as a part of the islands ominously nicknamed the Biting North. Finally, you are all heading home. However, Urgon persuaded you all to first come to Palebank Village. With promises to assist you with fetching great deals with the local merchants, flowing food and drink. The plan is to spend a few days in Palebank for a week before heading off to your respective lands.PLOT
However, in the last stretch of your journey, you were caught up in a battle between bandits and yourselves, setting off an avalanche. Luckily, this caused a scouting group from the village to come out and thankfully recover everyone. Though oddly, it was quickly found that bandits and adventures alike, you all have no memories. Urgon being a local of the village, was recognized. While his memory is also gone, his family can care for him. While your identities remain unknown, they were able to piece together your names from letters that had been sent home over the last year. Your party has all been moved to one group room in the inn, while the suspected criminals have been confined to another group room in the inn.
Unlike most games, you do not get to make your character. You, like your character, do not know who or what you are. You do get input on what you would like to play. There will be a preference sheet, but I am making your character.CHARACTER TWIST
You, both in-game and out, get to learn about your character. Adds a bit of fun to the game. Once you 'remember' details about your character, you can add them to your character sheet.
Theater of mind is great for many things. I do not find combat to be one of them. I will upload game maps to provide the layout of battles to assist in coordinating engagement. Combat is turn-based, with each person's turn reflecting 10 seconds of time. I find it important to note this because there are limits to what is physically possible to fit into a single turn. The game mechanics do assist with the limitation breakdown. Having a physical map also assists with breaking down the movement, reach, area of effect, etc. If you are new to DnD do not panic, it is rather simple once you get into it. It just looks overwhelming from the outside.COMBAT SYSTEM
- 「 ABOUT 」I have been playing DnD5E for about 5 years now. I have been a DM and a player in many games over the years. I like the idea of bringing the game to this platform to allow traditional roleplayers to dip their toes in the waters of dice-based games. I often see that people find the game confusing and, therefore, will not even try it. I am lucky enough to have many nerdy friends who take the time to teach me lots of cool games. I like to share that knowledge with others. I also do cosplay, ren fairs, Magic the Gathering, Savage Worlds, some online gaming, and many, many board games. While I don't know everything, I love learning and teaching. I aim to assist others in using gaming as a fun and safe hobby to make friends and have some laughs.GM INTRO

- 「 RULES 」1. BE AMICABLEGROUP GUIDELINES
DnD is a structured form of gameplay and roleplaying. Abiding by the rules creates a fun environment for all.
2. KEEP IT NEUTRAL
We are here for gameplay. Not personal views. Want to share a picture of your cat Fluffy in the OOC thread, go for it. If you want to share who you voted for in the midterms, find somewhere else to do it.
3. GM GETS THE LAST SAY
We are here to have fun. I may interpret rules and modify them to better suit the game. Feel you have a valid argument? Persuade me. Without players, there is no game.
4. COOPERATE
Cooperation is the process of groups of organisms working or acting together for common, mutual, or some underlying benefit, as opposed to working in competition for selfish benefit. Many animal and plant species cooperate both with other members of their own species and with members of other species. Your character can be a total roguery rogue, but if you keep trying to go off alone to be edgy, natural consequences will arise.
5. KEEP US IN THE LOOP
Life happens. Luckily, in DnD your character can be puppeted along or we can wait for you depending on the situation. But none of that can happen if we can't get a hold of you. Set a once a week calendar reminder. Ask your BFF to remind you. Buy a pigeon and train it. I don't care how you do it, but please keep in touch with the group at least via OOC or send me a DM.
ROLEPLAY RULES
1. POSTING LENGTH
There will be no posting length requirement. Please focus on grammar and punctuation. I highly recommend Grammarly. You can add it as a widget to your web browser. Many of us may be on different levels of writing and or current real-life availability. Work to be respectful of others' hard work when they provide a detailed response. On the flip side, please don't spend six paragraphs expressing in painful detail the long history of your character's belt. Keep it interesting, keep it on point.
2. IC / OOC
Storyline thread = IC Out of character thread = OOC The exception to this rule is if you need to relay info about an IC post please keep this in brackets or a spoiler on the post.
3. TAGGING IS GOOD
Please tag me. Please tag your teammates. We all get busy, tags help. Tagging is your friend.
4. RATED PG-13
If you would not watch a movie with your scene in it with your friends, spouse, or family don't bring it here. That being said, SHREK material is encouraged. Humor, bathroom jokes, and innuendo are perfect. Voilence will happen. Just don't try to go HOSTILE on us.
5. REACTIONS
Like something in the game?
Did it remind you of a joke?
Does your cousin rage like the Barbarian?
SHARE! Say something in OOC. React to that post with a cookie. We all work hard on what we do here. It makes us all feel good to know our work was enjoyed.
