Kind of reminds me of Science Olympiad. Have you heard of it?
Nope, though I've competed in the math olympiad.
Even the thought bible questions makes me want to just break something. I fucking hate religious homework. It fucking sucks.
So I feel very bad for you.

I finally solved it.

I'm so happy that I, an atheist, are cheering on angels.

*frowns* now for more bible homework.

My favorite part of our robot is that everyone else made complicated contraptions to lift balls into the things. We just used a dixie cup on a stick. That idea won us an award of innovative ideas, and got us to Regionals.

Is this bible class a Catholic or Christian thing?

Last time I checked, Catholicism is a branch of Christianity.

No, the full title is Bible and Western Culture. It's more studying the bible as a book, rather than a religious text, to understand western culture further. Still hate the class though.

Catholic religion may technically be a branch of Christianity, but both have still diverged greatly. Like I've said before, I was forced to go to a private Catholic school spawned from hell for six years. And my six most impressionable years, too. So there are still quite a few things I remember from that stupid fucking place. And when I was a freshman and in public schools, I went to a few Christian service things with a friend of mine. Both my brother and I did, and we honestly only went to play the games and because our friends asked us to (never again, though). The first meeting thing threw me for a loop because it was completely different from going to a Catholic service. With that religion, it seems more formal, and you are practically just sitting on your ass and listen to a boring-ass guy talk for an hour and a half. You do kneel some and walk a bit, as well as take the communion or whatever the fuck it's called (I forgot), and you will also sing. But that is really all that you do. It's tortuous and boring as fuck. With Christian stuff, though (at least the one I went to), you do more group talks and games, and everyone seems to be separated according to their age. You converse more, it more loose, etc etc. Way different from Catholic services, so it was really weird for me the first time I went (also because I just don't like religious stuff like that anyway, but that's not exactly the point). The next and only other major difference is some of the stuff said in the bible. This came to light to me this last year in college bio (there are some hardcore Christian kids in there, and watching them squirm while we talked about evolution was the funniest thing ever). They were all talking about when Jesus was actually born. I was sitting there reading my Halo book, but I started to become confused when I listened more, because I tend to be quite the listener when there is lots of chatter around me. What confused me is why the fuck were they wondering when Jesus was born? I was always taught that he was born on Christmas, to Mary and (I think??) Joseph inside of a stable next to an inn. Like, Christmas is his birthday. Not that I celebrate it as that, but I always knew that. The day is named after him for fuck's sake! But later, when I was saying this to my Christian friend, she was confused by what I was saying. She then explained to me that, in the Christian religion, Jesus was NOT born on Christmas. He was just found on that day or some shit, not born. That confused the fuck out of me, and my mom thought the same as me when I told her about that. Another reason why I think the stories diverge between the two religions is because there were quite a few occasions while I was in that Christian thing where what was said just confused me. Because stuff happened way differently in the Catholic bible compared to the Christian bible.

So, what I'm getting at in a sloppy way is that, yes, Catholicism is a offshoot of Christianity, but they are more like cousins rather than directly related.

Sorry. I just had to say all that.

Jesus...

Anyway, It's an episcopalian school, but the services are like how you described. Sit there and listen to a religiously intolerant asshole rant for awhile.

Sorry. I think that is the first and only time I will ever spout about religious stuff. I do not plan to do it again.

I do believe rather that Christianity is the umbrella term. Catholic is the original, then there's a fuck ton of others.

There's not a "Christianity", rather there's Catholic Christians, Baptist Christians, and more that I can't, nor care, to remember.

History is my strong subject and that sadly includes a bit of religious history.

Whatever. I just know that religion is pretty annoying to me.

I can get behind that statement xD

When it comes to religion despite being christian all I can ever say is "uuuuuuh I can tell you that the Methodists are like the partying problem child of Christianity who like to provoke the baptists"

I actually wanna take a religion class that will teach things besides Christianity (but considering I go to college in the bible belt that'll be hard) Because like religion is really fascinating to me when it's things besides Christianity because it's something so new. But like in my senior year of high school I was in a history class that taught a bit about religion but it was like ALL of them and it was really cool. But it also made it so my roommate last year was a little more annoying to me then usual. (She was one of those bible thumping "if you're not one of us you're gonna go to hell" the only time we ever argued was over that hateful mindset and I got so mad at her I had to go take a walk)

I'm guessing math Olympiad is pretty similar but I'm going to to explain it anyways. In SO your school assemblies a team of the best and brightest minds of the school. The kids are put into different events of their choice. The 2 types are test taking and building. In test taking you study a topic then at a take a test in competition. In building you build an object and test it. You win medals and ribbons. There's the line up of Regionals, States, Nationals. Both district teams in my district made it to nationals. That was a fun 14 hour drive to Nebraska from Ohio.

For the record I actually enjoyed Pixels. Soild 6.5/10.

That type religious person is the kind that I wish I could slap upside the head. With a chair. Or, hell, even a bat. Whatever works.

I've seen so many reviews on sites that basically call it one of the worst movies ever. And that they aren't surprised that it's an Adam Sandler movie.

Other than the typical cast of a Adam Sandler movie and the level of acting quality plus the brand of humor, I enjoyed the CGI and semi-decent plot.

This begs the question: Is bad attention better than no attention? My answer:

Yes. A wholehearted yes.

@1stLt HChurch I've had these idea in my head about a "jack of all trades" character. I also noticed the number of skills was raised from 3 to 4. I'm having my character have 4 skills. I consider the chosen skills to prepare him for most situations. Would he be a specialist in each skill or be generalist in skill. The latter would fit in the jack of all trades, master of none thing. (I'm not completely sure if this paragrap/idea makes sense.)
