Yes, but with touches of steampunk here and there. The reason Elphanor can fly is because it uses a combination of magic and machinery to keep it afloat.

*Vardujak- An extremely derogatory term used to describe another human being, that within the realm of Ruthen is likely to get you very badly hurt if not killed. (Modern equivalent being 'N-word' on the level of not-nice-to-say-to-people)


*Ghilo- Derogatory term (Modern equivalent of bastard and asshole)


*Phoulah- Derogatory and discriminatory term used to describe Nymph males (Modern equivalent being I'm uncultured)


-I'd like to take this opportunity to say that the words and meanings are made up and that I don't condone Kal's usage of these words in any way shape or form. Just want it to be clear and don't want anyone to take real offense to these made up words now that I've attached an understood modern day definition to them

Ugh, so..we were super slow at work, but one of my coworkers wasn't feeling well so they asked me to take her place. Her place being one of the most difficult positions in the restaurant aside from manager. But! I edited the post I put up earlier into an -actual- post!!! I am ready to enter the ball when everyone else is!

I had planned to write bits and pieces myself and edit it through the night as I worked, it just didn't work out. If that's what you need to do, I'm not GM but I doubt anyone would mind. I would only suggest letting us know here when you're finally done with it, whether it be tonight or tomorrow.


And dedication for real, though! But it's understandable! This RP is already super interesting. All the detail, with this being such a large paragraph RP, allows you to..really care about the characters, and none of us had even met, yet!!! I am so -thrilled- at the prospect of some of us coming into contact with each other in the next few posts. It's going to be great.


PS...My hands are covered in mascara because I'm a ninny, my eyes were watering, and I wiped my face with my hands like a dummy. Random blurb!

I'm so glad I could be a part of this RP with you guys because the details and the dedications to writing this story and making the characters come to life is amazing! I especially love how much we are seeing our characters backgrounds and personalities through those postings even if we all aren't officially interacting with each other yet! I LOVE IT Heheheh and I am excited to see how this goes!

Well, if we don't choose them, it adds for a lot more potential drama. Think about it.


All of our characters are going to be spending the next year in Elphanor together. So, even if we aren't "partnered" with someone, and I don't know this for sure, but we will probably all have the opportunity to get to know each other better.


What if a royal falls in love with another royal..? Or vice versa? What if someone loves outside of their pairing?


With us not choosing, or even knowing, who we are supposed to be with, our characters could spark a romance during the ball with a completely different person than intended. Which would potentially make for some really interesting outcomes.


Suspense!!!
