Slightly disgruntled about getting shrugged off as inconsequential, he starts muttering to himself, "Oh! nice to see you Jyterra, its been a while. Ah, that is has Ryrax, im now participating in the competition. Thats great Jyterra, I'm looking forward to our fight!" He walked off muttering more along the same idea. Moments later, after he was out of sight, great fireballs could be seen flying up out of the forest.

Ryrax analyzed Cerys as she touched her ear. He almost said something very sarcastic but bit his tongue: if he was going to make friends and allies, that wouldn't do him any good. He wanted to be more like Rudd, in some ways...what would that bumpkin do in this situation? What should Ryrax do?

Probably apologize for earlier, he decided. "...Oi," he started, quieter for usual for Ryrax. "Don't take what I said earlier personally. You scared the sh** outta me and like I said...bad experience with cats." He wasn't meeting her eyes. "...Sorry," he muttered, barely audibly. This was harder than he thought...but somehow, it felt good.

"I didn't really mean to scare you either." Cerys shrugged. "I've jut got a bad habit of forgetting personal space boundaries, that's all." He had shown her respect, thus, now she could show him respect in return. "I apologize for my sudden appearance and for interrupting the festivities at your hall. I didn't think about what could happen when I decided to do a bit of information gathering."

Sitting in his workroom, Jyttera stared a runescribed leather jerkin. He had, after testing his sword of flames, returned to his now completed lab, where he had been inspired to start a new project. The woman's ears, in the shape of a cats, an expression of her self, had inspired him. His currently half finished project would either allow him to project a longing for flight into actual, flight capable of wings, or... Destroy the forest his lab was in. Shrugging, he grabbed a few souls, and began the long, arduous process of enchantment.

Ryrax blinked, and stopped floating. He righted himself and opted to walk on the ground like everyone else, for once. Her response wasn't really what he'd been expecting. Is this what civil conversation was like? "Don't worry about it," he waved his hand to dismiss the matter. "Just use the front door next time. I admit, most other families tend to act like they have a stick in their ass when dealing with rival families, but I think you'll find that the Vejta are more laid back. Hell, we could head back now and they'd probably slap a bowl of stew in your hands while Rudd plays the fiddle until the sun comes up." He grinned slightly, a teasing look in his eye. "Unless stew isn't your thing, kitten. We could get ya some milk, if you prefer." He chuckled.

".....stew would be just fine...." Cerys' eyes twinkled. "As long as it's actually cooked. Don't know if I'd like the bloody meat wolves eat since I'm actually civilized." A smile crinkled her face slightly. "Though, I was supposed to find someone....she's got to be around here somewhere...." Cerys glanced around quickly. "Can't miss her. She looks angelic and she's clothed head-to-toe in white robes. I was going to explore with her tonight...." Cerys squinted towards something white in the distance. Was that....?

Ryrax actually threw his head back and laughed. "Bahahahaha! Don't knock it until you try it!" He said, a giant smile plastered on his face. It was free of malice or spite, but showed actual amusement. He put a hand to his chin to think at Cerys' words about a woman in white robes. "Hmm...can't say I've seen anyone like that thus far...but I can easily fix that." He smiled, like a child about to enact a plan that was likely to get him in trouble but would be fun anyway. He glanced to Jaeger. "I'm borrowing the kitten to look for an angel," he said with a chuckle. Before either of them could react he'd scooped up Cerys and launched high into the night sky. "White robes, you said?" he mused as he flew, scanning the Neutral Grounds below them.

After scanning the pages again and again, nothing new had jumped out at him. "Gah, this is impossible!" Gerza said, gritting his teeth. "I thought that maybe I needed quiet to think, but these tomes don't have anything! No words that are more common, no key words, nothing! It's like trying to decipher a codex without a cipher!" He sighed, defeated. The terra-forming had finished quite a while earlier, but he had been too absorbed to notice. 'May as well finish what I started...' He thought to himself. He let the rock slowly drift back down to where he had pulled it from the earth, then set his hands to the ground. 'Breathe in, then...' He finished his thought with a heavy thrust down onto the ground, which pulsed with fire and expanded all across the battlefield. The wave glassed and resealed the earth, moving as a wave across the ground before stopping at the edge of where the bloodshed had started. '...out.' He exhaled and opened his eyes. The grounds looked much like they did before the fight, albeit with some burn marks from where the corpses which hadn't made in under the earth had been incinerated. He picked up his books and dejectedly walked back towards the Naejor house, carrying the weight of his thoughts on each step.

Having slipped on the Enchanted jerkin, Jyterra stared off into the night sky. He was, in theory anyway, about to fulfill a childhood dream, to fly. The very thought of it excited him to no end. Pressing a hand to a round metal plate on his chest, he activated the enchantments. After a second of tense nothing, the jerkin heated up tremendously. Panicking, he struggled with the straps, and collapsed on the roof of the lab. Shooting pains racked his body, as two enormous black wings erupted from his back. His entire body was being shifted to become flight-worthy. Eventually, the pain subsided, and Jyterra stood up, dazed and confused. Deciding to just put an end to the night, and go to sleep, he walked back to the ladder he used to get up there... and promptly fell off the edge. Instead of falling, as he assumed, his new wings caught the air, and newborn instincts brought them down into a giant flap, thrusting him into flight!

Odom laughed. He was not laughing at the star; the star was a fallen angel, majestic and even a little sad. He wasn't precisely laughing at the girl, either. Rather, he was laughing at his own joy. It had been a long time since anyone had genuinely laughed in front of him. He was again reminded of Faora. Estelle, it seemed, had the heart of a child. He had always liked children.

Even as he chuckled Odom found his eyes drawn to movement from a different part of the sky. Much closer than the lights above, a very different star was approaching very quickly. "It seems that the night sky has many adventures to offer." He listened to the wind for news of the approaching figure and heard . . . nothing. Whoever was approaching, they were not enlisting the help of the wind to fly. He found this curious, indeed. "Were you expecting company, Moon Child?"

Cerys froze when she picked up and barely stopped herself from scratching him full in the face. Even so, she was still shaking like a leaf from the sudden launch into the air. Cerys had never really enjoyed flight, mostly because flight normally meant Jaeger was dragging her back to the house. "Y-yes....white robes, blond hair, blue eyes....and probably the most beautiful woman you've ever seen." She sighed; she had always been jealous of Cerys on that point. Her beauty drew people to her like moths to flame.

Estelle smiled broadly. "Yes I am. A dear friend of mine said she was going to meet with me after doing a little reconnaissance at the Vejta dining hall. Don't ask me why because she didn't elaborate." She looked up into the sky and saw two figures flying through it, one with wings and the other carrying a very familiar creature with ears and a tail.

Ryrax chuckled. "You seem tense. I thought you'd be used to flight with Jaeger around. Guess I was wrong." Then he noticed the woman that Cerys must have been looking for. He dove down and out of the open sky, but his landing was gentle, like a feather hitting the ground. "Is this her?" He asked Cerys as he sat her down.

"No, I am not used to flight." Cerys looked over and saw Estelle. "ESTELLE!" She ran and tackle hugged her friend to the ground. Estelle sighed audibly as she hugged the impetuous Xevrey.

"Cerys, I told you not to do that." Cerys was a bit ruffled now but still just as beautiful as ever. She took in Cerys' companion, studying him in detail. There was....a stain upon this one. Much death had been met by his hand. "And you are....?"

Ryrax gave Estelle a once-over with his eye before nodding his head in greeting. "Ryrax. Formerly of Omeraan, adopted into Vejta." He cocked his head slightly. "I take it you are called Estelle and are a friend of Cerys?"

Cerys was right: Estelle was beautiful. However, if Ryrax was attracted at all he didn't show it. He gave away remarkably little in his eye for such a blunt man in conversation.

"Yes." Estelle's eyes were suddenly drawn heavenward. Two shooting stars crossed above her head. An omen, perhaps, at this meeting? Did this mean she would rely on him in time? Perhaps even befriend him? But the stars were as cryptic as ever and gave no answer.

Cerys knew that look all too well. "Estelle...?" She almost asked what the stars were saying but chose not to do so. "Well, all of this adventure has reminded me that the food in that hall smelled delicious. Before we go exploring, Estelle, can we please find something to eat?"

Ryrax didn't even mutter a goodbye as he put his hands into his pockets, turned away from the trio of oddities, and began heading back towards the Vejta dining hall. Hopefully they still had some rabbit stew left.

Well, he had done it. He had obtained flight, and wings of his own, to fly as the birds would. "Now, " he said, speaking to himself, "If only I could stop flying in a circle." Jyterra had been flying in a broad circle above the heads of a group of people. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunate, for him, they were too far away to identify, or even call out to. Sigh. As he flew and thought, a sound of shattering crystal rang out, and his wings began to disintegrate. He began to fall, barely managing to pull out of a straight plummet into a controlled fall. The last thing he saw before impact was the blackened tiles of a roof.

Odom gazed pensively at the shooting stars as they passed. It was rare, indeed, for two stars to plummet in such perfect symmetry. They seemed to whisper something, but it was too quiet for him to hear. He wondered if perhaps the girl had heard. She seemed disinclined to speak, however, and so he turned to her companion.

"I suppose you are the one for whom the moon-child bides?" He smiled a bit as he took in the sight of their disheveled forms.

"Where are you going?" Estelle called after Ryrax. "It's bad manners to leave without saying goodbye." A tinkling laugh escaped her lips. "Join us, Ryrax of Vejta. I wish to speak to you."

"Yes." Cerys smiled, her ears flicking forward towards the new person. "I am Cerys." Her tail twitched as she looked him over. "Moon Child? I normally don't hear her referred to that way."

Ryrax was mildly surprised that someone actually wanted to interact with him. Even so, he sighed as he turned on his heel. "Why the hell do ya wanna speak with me?" he said as he walked over to rejoin the group. "Don't mince words, either. If they run outta rabbit stew I'm going to be pissed."

"Because you are an interesting individual who has caught my eye. And I like to know what competitors I will end up healing during the tournament." Estelle smiled broadly. "I don't come here to fight, I come here to make sure no one bleeds out too badly during these events. But, enough about that....if you so wish, I would talk to you while you get something to eat to make things easier on you."

Ryrax shrugged. "Very well, follow me," he said to the trio, and made for the Vejta hall he'd left just minutes ago. "Don't waste your energy thinking of healing me," he said as they walked. "Instead, you'll want to focus on whoever is unfortunate...or stupid...enough to fight me," he said with a wild smile.

When they reached the hall, he gestured to one of the many long benches. Once everyone had sat, he gestured with his hands and four bowls of rabbit stew flew over to their table. One sat itself in front of each of Ryrax's companions, and his own he snatched from midair in his left hand. "Now then," he said as he took a sip, "you wished to converse with this one? Interesting," he said with a smirk.

"Whats interesting?" A rather bruised and battered Jyttera said, as he walks over to their table, holding his own bowl of stew.

Estelle was completely oblivious to everything around her but Cerys was not. Cerys saw the looks that the guys were giving Estelle and hoped that there would be no trouble. She didn't want to have to rip someone else's face off because they came after her.

Estelle barely glanced around the room to note the others. Her focus was still mostly on Ryrax, but she did notice the violin toting youth. A quick inspection of this one also made her want to closely investigate this one as well. "I like to learn about others who are different than me in order to further my understanding of this world." She glanced at the newcomer. "As to what's interesting, that's for me to know and you to probably not find out."

Ryrax chuckled and elbowed Jyttera playfully. "She said 'probably not find out', meaning there's still a chance," he muttered with a grin. He returned his attention to Estelle and noticed she kept stealing glances at Rudd. "Taken a liking to my little country boy?" he said and laughed. "OI RUDD! GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE AND INTRODUCE YOURSELF!" he shouted over his shoulder to the fiddle-playing lad.
